Every time I come to Medical City, there is the heavenly smell of Italian food. I've always wanted to try their food. I was early for my doctors appointment today and decided that I was going to track down that wonderful smell! The lady who took my order was very sweet and personable. It's a small place where you order at the counter and they prepare your food while you wait. I didn't have to wait long, only about four or five minutes. I ordered one of their "daily specials". Lasagna with Ceasar salad and a crazy huge garlic roll that was heavenly, and big enough for two. But I'm not complaining because garlic rolls are one of life's guilty pleasures! The Ceasar salad was awesome, it had plenty of dressing and they didn't skimp on the portion sizes. The lasagna was delicious and I'm glad that I was finally able to try this place I'll definitely be back! read more

Not a bad selection of toppings. A little too thin for my taste. I know there are those who love thin pizza and if so add a star. It's at a hospital medical building, so for what is worth and you have to be close by for a time. It is a good selection. My pie was suppose to be pepperoni on it, but they had mushrooms. If you love tomato on your pie take a star away. In conclusion, if I had to come back and stay, I'd try this again. But there are a lot of better choices out there. read more

Cold Caesar salad should not be served with cubed chicken that has been marinated and reheated and placed in a plastic cup. This pizza is mediocre. Nothing special about the flavor at all. The customer service can be very rude sometimes. It's not a place I really care to return to for lunch, but I might try a pasta dish next time. The pizza just isn't good enough to desire again. I also might give the caesar salad a try, as I've heard it's pretty good here. The pizzas are large, though.. but they come with a price, just like everything at this hospital. read more

Awesome awesome food!! Amazing owners and staff. Super friendly and FULL of energy. The owners are husband and wife. The sweetest couple ever! They've been in this exact same location for over 30 years! They've been open as long as I am in age. Amazing. Food is made fresh, excellent ingredients and such a wide selection. All I can say is WOW, I never knew a hospital could carry such a great tasting sub!! This little food store looked mediocre and I did not expect much from the food here. But I was surprised when I took my first bite, the sub bread was crispy on the outside but soft on the in. The philly cheese steak was juicy, hot, and tender and I enjoyed every single bite of it. I ate there today and had a fine, above average meal consisting of, I big ol roll that probably doubles as sandwich bread. Good texture and slightly chewy, just how I like it. Better had butter been offered with it Maybe my bad for not asking? A small salad with a garlicky Italian Vinaigrette dressing, very typical of what you'd get at strip mall mom and pop Italian joints. Quite good. A huge helping of linguine with meat sauce. First the good, a very good meat sauce that I'd guess was homemade. Yummy. The bad, Linguine horribly overcooked. No parmesan cheese to top it with altho had I asked maybe they'd a had some. Also i was served so hot I had to wait a good 10 minutes before it wouldn't burn my mouth. All in all, above average deli deserving of a soft 4* rating. Had the linguine been cooked properly and the pasta dish not have been unbearably hot, I'd go with a hard 4*. Food priced very reasonably. read more

I worked in the ER and PICU at Medical City. This pizza is so good, my family and I still visit just to eat it.

This is one of the best all-around delis I have ever eaten at. They make a really good hot ham and cheese sandwich with ranch dressing. I for the longest time had no idea it was ranch dressing, because there are only certain ranch dressings I like - it was that good! They also have fajita nachos, spaghetti,lasagna, salads, and other sandwiches, as well as breakfast foods. I know they have been in business for a really long time because I started working at Medical City Hospital in 1989,and a friend brought a salad to me when my doctor and I had missed lunch. Hubby and I stopped by in between appointments yesterday and ordered a meatball sub w/ chz; it was AMAZING!! -totally STUFFED w/ tons of meatballs and cheese. I don't like super thick, crusty rolls b/c I feel like I'm mostly eating bread instead of the "good" stuff. Their rolls are atleast 8" long and toasted and the perfect amount of bread (instead of a brick of starch) to soak up their yummy sauce! I know we were just there yesterday, but we had another appointment today so we had to stop and get ANOTHER meatball sub. I know this little spot is at Medical City, but they officially make my favorite meatball sub... Maybe next time we'll try something different... If you are ever at Medical City, I would highly recommend eating at Lots-A-Pasta. I love that this hospital complex has so many eateries besides the hospital cafeteria and on of my favorites is Lots-A-Pasta. I love their beef nachos, the chicken parmesan, Caesar salad and garlic bread sticks, plus if you buy a fountain drink there, they do refills. Everything is hot, filling, fresh and made to order. Everyone that works there is so friendly and nice. I love the way that they treat their customers. This place is one of the nice things about my son having to be in the hospital. This place has terrible service! They ask you your order five times and then still complain when you finally pay that one of the three people you repeated it to didn't get told the whole thing. Forgive us for tiring of telling all of you the same thing over and over as you only half pay attention!!!!! Then you won't give a refund and try to insult on class. Classy people pay attention when a customer speaks. Tell you what I can get at McDonald's- since you mention that- one person to take my order the first time and that one person to charge me and then I can actually get that order! Incredible, the pizza is loaded worth toppings and the chicken Alfredo had enough in it to feed 4. Everything was handmade and tasted absolutely delicious. It's rare to find a place like this with great food and great people. It's a true diamond in the the rough and it's in a hospital.
