    The response to my prior review is an obvious lie. I posted a complaint to the better business bureau and this is their reply. You can judge the reply for yourself. These people are SCAMMERS. Avoid at all cost!!

    Bookshelf that the movers broke

    Absolutely terrible experience with this moving company and I would strongly advise others to avoid them. I was quoted and repeatedly confirmed a flat-rate interstate move from Massachusetts to New York. On moving day, after the crew arrived and reviewed everything in person, I was suddenly told I needed to pay an additional $320 due to the amount of items and an elliptical machine. I agreed and paid the extra charge before the move proceeded. The movers were careless with my belongings throughout the move. Furniture was dragged and banged into walls/floors, screws were left all over the ground, and multiple items were damaged, including my TV stand and bookshelf. What concerns me most is that four boxes from my shipment are now missing. I later learned my belongings had been transferred between trucks during transit without my knowledge. When I reported the missing boxes, the company denied responsibility and claimed everything was delivered, despite the fact that I clearly know items are missing. To make matters worse, they later attempted to claim I owed an additional $400 balance that was never disclosed, invoiced, or agreed to at any point during pickup or delivery. Communication throughout this process has been defensive and dismissive. Instead of meaningfully investigating the missing items, they shifted blame and routed everything through a third-party claims service. This was one of the most stressful moving experiences I've had. I understand that moves can have complications, but losing customer property and then handling the situation this way is unacceptable.

    WARNING: Extortion & Last-Minute Bait-and-Switch Scam (Fully Documented) Do NOT trust Born to Move. They engage in highly unethical, predatory business practices. As a returning customer, I booked an interstate move from Keller, TX to Zionsville, IN scheduled for June 4, 2026. On May 7th, their representative Dmitrii ( Founder and CEO) explicitly confirmed a FLAT RATE of $4,000 via email, stating there would be "no surprises based on cubic feet, weight, or number of boxes" and "no hidden charges whatsoever". Exactly six days before my move, when I reached out to confirm loading times , their General Manager, JJ, called me and refused to honor the written agreement. He demanded an additional $3,300 over the phone to complete the move --attempting to extort a total of $7,300 by weaponizing my tight timeline. When I sent a written email documenting this phone conversation and demanding they honor their written quote, they immediately replied with a brief email stating, "We are canceling this move". Leaving a customer stranded with an interstate move less than a week out because they refuse to submit to a $3,300 over-the-phone price hike is unacceptable. I have the entire email paper trail proving this bait-and-switch. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to be left stranded or extorted at the last minute.

    Terrible experience. Made to wait 6 hours while my movers went to finish another job in the middle of my move. Began the move at 9am on Friday, everything was already packed and it took ~45 mins to move out of the apartment. Drove to Pennsylvania which took around 2 hours, and waited at the destination for about an hour. Texted the movers asking for their ETA and they replied with saying that they were doing another job and will get there at 6pm. This was already a terrible reply since I had not been informed that they would go do another move after they had already taken my stuff. Called the company and they said they would give me a discount for the inconvenience. They arrived at 7pm and unloaded in about 45 minutes. They still charged me for the original invoice so the discount was also a lie. Absolutely horrendous.

Drove it 2 days west and will drop it next week at another location. We did see 2 big bugs in truck interior but were able to kill these before loading items. I know there are reviews talking about rodents in the storage location here. I am guessing this truck was moved to Cambridge for my 1 way since dispatch was working on my reservation. This disease is spread in one of three ways: inhaling dust that is contaminated with rat urine or droppings, direct contact with rat feces or urine, and infrequently due to the bite of rat. They also carry. Officially, the CDC (The Center for Disease Control) lists seven diseases North American rats and mice transmit directly and 11 they transmit indirectly. None sounds good, and several can kill you. ... Foodborne disease is transmitted through saliva, urine, and droppings. In the course of one day's food rummaging, a rat can unload 50 half-inch droppings. I understand you are not responsible for what happened to my belongings, due to the rodent problem.However, my storage unit was infested by rats, rat fences and destruction of my personal property. i.e. my polo jacket, khakis pants, comforter and my suitcase. Due the high probability of transmitting a deadly disease carried by rodent, I was forced to discard my belongings!!! These items were destroyed by rats eating, nesting and probably reproducing inside my storage unit # 366 located at your Uhaul location in Cambridge,MA 844 Main Street. 02139 I complained about my unit having been overturned by rodents, back in October 2017. But nothing really happened. I understand that unfortunately, there is a huge homeless, disenfranchised people that occupy your area. I was threatened by one of your ex-customers that , had a storage unit next to mine, a year ago. They started asking me for money, then the man became aggressive and threatened me! I called 911, a Cambridge, Massachusetts police officer arrived. When I told the officer what happened, they lied and changed their version of events. The officer, let them go with a warning. And I quickly left your Uhaul location and headed home! Another time, I came to your location early on a Sunday morning, I was stuck outside your Cambridge Uhaul location because your after hours access card would not work!!!!! A caucasian man with a seringe dangling out of his arm, stumbled down the sidewalk towards me. He asked me for money, I noticed he had dried up blood on his arm, I told him I didn't have any money and ran away! I contacted your Uhaul customer service number, and explained, I was being charged an extra $5 for after hours access, and still couldn't get inside!!! And I also believe some of them also rent storage units and probably store food items in those storage items, in your Cambridge,MA location. I am not blaming you for the staff at this particular U-lHaul l ocationor what happened to me me or the serious rodents problem in your location. But, my belongings should have been safe and not destroyed by disease carrying rodents!! I have spent in excess of $2,000.00 during the 2 1/2 years of being your customer. I am sorry, I had to terminate my business with Uhaul. But between the rodents destroying and contaminating my entire storage unit, also I am purchasing a home in March, and I am now storing in a friend's home, here in Brookline, MA. I considered leaving some of my personal items in my storage unit, in your Cambridge Uhaul location. Because I could not salvage those because they were too contaminated with rodent excrement and the possible spread of dangerous pathogens and disease! But, after I saw the extent of rodent damage , rat excrement all over my clothing, linens, luggage and basically the infestation and contamination of the entire unit, I decided to end my storage occupancy at this location. I just left from this store…read morelocation for a return, and Chris was extremely patient, professional, and kind throughout the entire process. He took his time to help, answered questions calmly, and never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. Customer service like that really stands out, especially during what could have been a stressful interaction.     I came to this UPS store to return something from Amazon. The Amazon app let me pick specific…read morelocations to return my merchandise. It specifically says no box or label needed. Just bring it and let them scan the QR code and you're set. I went to this UPS store location in Watertown this morning and it was not a good experience at all. I should've known, as it has never been a good experience in the past. The older lady there that helped me was surprised that I showed up with just the product (which was in the box - just not an amazon box). She had to check with her manager (older gentleman)...who came over with a tape measure and was like "we can only ship items less than 16". The box was about 17" and he made it seem like he was doing me a favor by accepting it. The lady proceeded to scan my QR code and was like "I'll have to mail it like this (without putting it in another box) and I hope you get your refund from Amazon. We are not responsible. This can get lost or stolen". I asked if she could at least tape the opening to make the package more secure, since she wasn't willing to put it in another box...she said no and reiterated several more times "I hope you get your refund etc". Whatever. Returning something shouldn't be this hard, especially when Amazon pointed me here with those specific instructions. There is clearly a disconnect. This UPS store is not about helping customers. Everything felt like they were doing me a favor, ugh! I would not go here again. I'd gladly put the item back in a box and go to USPS or something instead. I wouldn't have gone here in the first place had the app offered the Wholefoods return option - always a good experience there!
