Alex and his team did an excellent job during my move from Watertown to Waltham and Brookline: they were careful, professional, efficient and very affordable. He and his crew were very prepared with all the tools needed for the job and very quick to deploy them, in addition to being clear, direct and courteous in their communication with me. I was very stressed about moving due to previous negative experiences with other companies which were sloppy and one of which damaged my couch and misplaced some of my belongings. My experience couldn't have been more different with Alex and his team: Alex has an impressive grasp of spatial dimensions and dealt with the problems involved in moving a large heavy couch from a place with one narrow set of stairs to another one artfully and systematically. They were also really good in their handling of fragile (Ikea) furniture --which I had resigned myself is so flimsy that it would unavoidably be damaged during the move and would need to be replaced soon-- but they handled it so carefully that it not only survived the move in very good conditions but it will likely make it for a decent number of years to come, which is a huge save for me :) Also of note is that we (unfortunately!) chose a really hot (+90 F) day for the move and none of the apartments involved had AC which did not deter them at all :) The only small thing that could have been improved is a bit more communication around delays caused by a previous customer(s) not letting them know about the tricky 3 floor walkup to their apartment, but they were very courteous and flexible and worked with me on adapting the timing of the move to my needs. I will absolutely be calling them should moving needs arise in the future. read more

What can I say? Fantastic is not enough. They email and phone back promptly. Alex along with Roman and the rest of the crew are extremely professional, they are on time to the job, have tools, blankets, tape etc. They carefully take apart your furniture and put it back together. They are very polite and extremely, extremely helpful. I have had other well known movers who rushed and broke items then never told us. This is NOT this company. I'm a Realtor in Boston and this was my personal home in Plymouth. They spent 9 hours in the rain moving me without one complaint. I have used Move and Improve on three separate occasions. These gentlemen have yet to disappoint me. They are agreeable, meticulous, and I highly recommend them. Twice I have hired them to move my daughter from one apartment to another in Boston. Two weeks ago I hired them to pack two 16 foot Pods for a relocation to Florida. I had lots of rare framed pieces of art and several antique items that required special care. You never know what will happen when a Pod is shipped 1400 miles. When I opened the Pods up today, everything was perfect. Basically no shifting of any items, thanks to the careful attention to detail used in packing each Pod to capacity without sacrificing stability and safety of the furniture and over a dozen pieces of framed art. Alex and his team were AMAZING. I cannot say enough about them, truly. In no particular order, here are some highlights: 1. While this isn't the most important topic, it is good to mention that Move and Improve is extremely affordable. 2. There were 3 movers as opposed to the standard 2 when you book through places like Uhaul. 3. They provide the truck AND moving supplies (ie. Moving blankets and tape). 4. Alex's response time is unmatched. He is extremely kind and flexible. 5. All three movers were attentive, respectful, outgoing, and more than careful with all of my belongings. They wrapped every piece of furniture in blankets. Not a single thing was damaged during my move; furniture, walls, or otherwise. This was my first time using Move and Improve house moving services. My scheduling for my move was super hectic due to legal issues and closing my new property on time, but Alex and co were super flexible with my last minute changes. Their communication was on point! I sent a message via Yelp at some ungodly hours and they responded within minutes! There is truly a new level of dedication to be found here. During the move, they called ahead and updated me on ETA between destinations, so I was aware of what was going on the entire time. The movers were very polite and professional. These guys were true professionals. We lived on the fourth floor of a building with steep stairs and tight turns. They made sure every item was wrapped and secure and they were able to bring everything down with no problems. It was very impressive to see that they had a plan for loading the truck and brought items down in an order that made the most sense to keep everything secure (as not all movers care about this detail). The items were brought to a storage locker and they were able to unload two-bedroom's worth of items in a storage locker in less than an hour. The bonus was in how all of our items were arranged in the locker--truly planning and thought went into organizing all items to keep things secure and safe. Wow - Alex is a total pro! Not only did he calm my nerves prior to my move about size of the truck vs size of my street (and always responding so quickly) but when he and Sergio arrived, they were both so nice, so good at maneuvering both truck and stuff, and so professional at every step, even when it was over 90 degrees and my new building had an anything but straight shot in. Seriously I didn't know elevators could be that slow or a building's hallways that serpentine! But not a whiff of complaint from either guy, so good natured, they put me at ease. (Thank you.) I am very grateful to Alex from Move and Improve Inc for the remodeling of my 2 bdr condo. When I bought it, It had ugly wooden panels on the walls in each room since like 1980-s, hand-made bar table and old tiles near the bar table. I met several local contractors and their quotes were unreasonably high and the availability was limited. Our daughter wanted to upgrade her childish bedroom for a more trendy teeenager look but because she is in the attic it was tough finding furrniture to make it up the spiral staircase. We ended up purchasing large pieces of bedroom furniture from IKEA. I turned to YELP for help in assembling and came across Move and Improve. Alex answered my post within 20 minutes!! 20 minutes!! We were referred to Move and Improve through a friend who had recently moved. Alex and team did a fantastic job moving us out of our fourth floor apartment and across the city into our new home. They arrived right on time and got down to business. We had some challenging furniture to maneuver down the stairs and I was never concerned. What an amazon company! If you're familiar with Boston moving - it's exhausting, expensive, and frustrating. These guys made it easy and pleasant. Alex is super professional and helpful. I called Move and Improve sort of last minute for September 1st and they were super efficient and very helpful. They did not take advantage of the fact that I was moving on Sept 1st by hiking prices which a lot of other companies that I called did. They arrived at exactly when they said they were going to arrive. I was not totally done packing but they were very patient and understanding. I've moved quite a few times and by far Move and Improve was the most reliable, efficient and customer oriented moving company. They arrived exactly at scheduled time and got right into work: they wrapped all my furniture with pads and plastic wrap, helped me to pack a few boxes of glasses and other fragile kitchen stuff.
