Moved my household goods in 2017. Much went to storage as we were between houses, part went to a rental units. The items in the rental unit were moved ok except a dining room table which was scratched on the table top. The guys were good about showing me the damage and committing to repairing it. Unfortunately I had to chase them for the repair and the table top was not the same. Items put in storage were removed a couple of years later. Here's where I really have issues. A screw (ornamental brass head and about four inches long) was removed and lost from an antique table. It is a key component to reassemble the piece and I am searching for a replacement. Good luck with that... Also, a Life Fitness tread mill was partially disassembled to move it. When I retrieved from storage I found screws to the motor cover missing and a lynch pin bolt for the treadmill missing. Now I am searching for replacements. Should have better luck than with the antique. All this I find years after the move which makes the fact that the final cost exceeded their quote much harder to swallow. I have made two moves subsequently using another mover with no problems. read more

I've used these guys *twice* (and am about to use them for a third time in a few weeks to move out of Boston) and I cannot rave about them enough. They're extremely fast, efficient and easy to work with. I've had different movers sent each time and all have been great. They've all managed to get my large couch up and down a tiny/awkwardly shaped staircase with no issues. Fantastic service! I hired these guys for a last minute hoisting job -- needed a couch moved down to the ground from my third floor balcony that wouldn't fit through the stairs. First off, Can't Stop Moving was one of the only companies in the area that provided standalone hoisting services and didn't have a 2-3 hour minimum rate. I didn't need a whole moving service, and they promised me a flat rate of $250 for the job. I found them through Yelp and Eric was very prompt and thorough in his responses. I shared pictures of the setup so he could get an idea of what needed to be done, and he immediately had a plan for me. On the day of the move, they did arrive about an hour later than originally planned, but Eric was timely in communicating the delay with me and was very kind over the phone. Alex was the foreman on the job and came with three other young, strong guys. (They were all coming from another job, but Eric assured it me it would be a flat rate no matter how many guys came.) All of them were very friendly and easygoing, and they made quick work of hoisting down the couch. It's a solid 7' long, ~200lb couch, but they wrapped and hoisted it down very efficiently and helped me get it moved into a corner of my walkway. Alex even taped the couch down against the railing of the building so it wouldn't topple over. The whole thing took less than 30 mins and I couldn't have asked for a nicer team to work with. Although I only needed hoisting this time around, I'd gladly call Can't Stop Moving again in the future for any larger moving jobs too! read more

We needed a moving team to help us move within a building. We did not need the truck, just some help with the larger items. We set up for a 3pm to 5pm window on a Saturday. Team checked in with us before the set time and arrived 15 minutes early. The guys were super nice, very efficient and moved everything we asked and then some. I know that this is not the typical move, however, it still was a great experience. The team was great, price was right and I would ABSOLUTELY use them again. read more

These guys were great! This was my second time moving with them and both moves went better than I could have hoped. They showed up on time both times and turned my second and larger move into a quick three hour event when I expected it to take all day. I underestimated the number of boxes I thought I had by a very large margin and they rolled with it and made everything fit. They even went and got a second truck to accommodate me when I went over my forecast. They are polite, personable and in shape. They handled my belongings with care and navigated the tight spaces of my 130 year old Dorchester home without damaging anything. Moving is a stressful experience and about 15 minutes into my move I realized I was in good hands, all set and had nothing to worry about. CSM is the only company I will call if and when I move again. I have recommended them to a few friends and they have also been impressed with their experience. I should probably start by telling you 2 things: 1. This is the only moving company I have ever hired 2. I am a bit OCD Moving sucks, but these guys make it suck a lot less. They were very professional, unbelievably fast, and I think the only thing we had damaged was really my fault (I left a chromecast attached to a TV and it was protruding from the TV and the connector got bent). These guys were a pleasure to deal with and were very personable and I would definitely use them again, even if I never plan to move. There was some miscommunication when I received my quote because I was only asked 3 questions and that made it very hard to capture how much stuff I had to move. As soon as the guys showed up, they asked me to give them an overview of what was being moved and what was staying. After we finished with that, I was pulled aside and told that it was going to cost me more than my estimate indicated. I fully expected this because I had A LOT of stuff, but I especially appreciated how they did that up front and gave me a chance to back out if I thought the price was unreasonable. Anyway, everything went great, they helped with taking TVs off the walls and wrapping them in blankets, and various other things. They never told me there was something they couldn't help with and I would recommend them unequivocally. read more

I had to reschedule on them. Twice. Alex, who actually responded to my phone call and didn't just ask me to fill out forms on this website, presented a lovely, human side to Can't Stop Moving. Nameless, faceless, voiceless communication does not create trust for me. We're talking about my possessions, inanimate--yet beloved--things I've chosen to have in my home. After speaking with Alex, I felt completely confident in having this company move furniture from my late mom's house in Maine to my storage unit in Boston. The two guys who did the move, Dan and Nick, were kind, smart, and knowledgeable. They were patient with me as I reminisced about my childhood home, while I talked about 90s grunge and the Curse of the Bambino, neither of which they are old enough to know anything about. The kept working while I blabbered on and on. Poor kids. Eric, who runs the West Coast part of the company, stepped in while Alex was sick, and he took control of the whole situation of my needing to cancel twice. He was so understanding of what I've been going through since my mom's death and cleaning out her house. On top of everything, the price was fantastic and Dan and Nick worked FAST considered they get an hourly rate and could've dragged it out without my realizing it for at least another hour or two. The move process went very well and they were very efficient. The only thing that didn't go well was the mirror to my vanity went missing. I contacted them and they were responsive to my emails at first saying they were going to see if they could locate the mirror. Time had passed and i never heard back so i wrote to them a few more times and they stopped responding. Not sure if i will use them again. Update of my initial review: I was contacted by one of the owners of the company regarding my lost vanity mirror. They apologized for the delay in communication and made up the lost mirror. There were a number of issues with my move...the elevator at the storage facility was not working, the elevator at my new apartment building was small, and the bedroom frame was very difficult to put together. I used this company for the first time yesterday to move furniture from the Boston area to Providence. The company has been in Boston for years, and is expanding to the Providence area. The owner, Alex, was a pleasure to work with, from beginning to end. He responded to my initial inquiry immediately, and was was responsive throughout the whole process. These guys were excellent! From the very first phone call, they patiently explained the moving process and charges in detail, which helped relieve a lot of stress early on in the moving process. They arrived right on time as scheduled, communicated with me the entire way, and were very quick and efficient with my move. They made sure all my furniture was well taken care of from start to finish...putting enough pads on the furniture for protection (from beds to mirrors to a peloton machine), packing the truck efficiently, driving at safe speeds while in transit, and unloading quickly at the final destination. I used Can't Stop Moving company for a move of a couple of blocks with storage overnight during the busiest season. They were very responsive when I inquired about prices and reserved their services. Any questions I had, they answered quickly and cordially. The clearing of the apartment took about an hour and went smoothly. The move the next day took a little more effort as it involved getting furniture and boxes up two narrow flights of stairs. In the process, an older set of bookcases broke, but they reimbursed me at a fair price. There was an unfortunate incident when they moved the sofa into the basement as they informed us earlier it wouldn't fit up the stairs. A water pipe was hit, and a plumber had to come to fix the leak. The company was very trustworthy and paid for the repair. I was very satisfied with the two moves, and I will use CSM again. read more

Can't say enough good about these guys! We rented our own UHAUL and hired the labor only to pack the truck and carry everything down from our 3rd floor apartment. Hardworking, fast, friendly, and efficient in their loading. They were careful with our stuff too. The truck we got from UHAUL was a little too small - but they came up with creative solutions for getting it all in!! Amazing. Great price too. Hard to imagine something better. read more
