I hate moving. Who actually doesn't. And it's expensive in Boston so one of my friend passed me a flyer from this moving company. And I have to tell the truth price just bought me. I call them to double check the pricing and if they available on weekends and the agent was very helpful. He explained me different options and based on the info that I provide me gave me a quote. So they charge $70 per hour and I chose 2 movers and 16 feet truck to move one bedroom apartment. They told me it would take like around 5 hours that include time that movers spend getting to your place and time that they spend do deliver your furniture to new address. I really enjoy choosing this company as the guys show up in time. They were quick and careful with my stuff. I had some last minute packing and they help me with that as well. I was really afraid that we will have hard time of getting out and in my huge couch as I had very bad experience previously. But they got a trick and where able to move my couch true window. I would never have thought that it could be done that way. As a result my furniture was delivered safe, no damage and it took them only 4 hours to do that . Which is great as I know if you pay movers per hour for some reason they moving furniture pretty slow but this guys were amazing, made my moving experience so much better. read more

He and his guys showed up ontime on move-out day, and worked hard and fast to load the truck. Instatrans was able to store my belongings for a week in Boston while I looked for a place in D.C. Then, when I found something, we were able to schedule a delivery within a day or two. This was really above and beyond. I hired them after seeing how efficient they were moving my friends to another state. They came on time, and were quick and efficient. I had a great experience with InstaTrans last week. They unloaded my 16' POD container into my 3rd floor apartment - including a sectional sofa, king sized bed, and several heavy dressers/bookcases. It took about 3 hours, but the rate was so reasonable it still cost less than the other places I was quoted. They sent 2 guys who were really friendly and barely took breaks. First the good: I gave 3 stars because the CREW is good and very helpful. Now the BADDD: My appointment was between 12-2, so I have called @ 12 to confirm there whereabouts, and they said, they will call me soon, by 2 Pm i have called a couple times but no clear time on when they are coming! At 2:15 the dispatch manager said they are going to be late and might be here between 3-4 PM, and said there are 3 people in the truck so you have an option to sign up for 3 people per hour instead of 2 people per hour otherwise it might get even more delayed because they have to go and drop the third person, at this point i was clueless and said OK given my situation. Finally i kept calling every 30 min, and @ 4 they are still working at the second/third job, an appointment can be late by 30 min or 1 hour not by 4-5 hours. The dispatch manager kept saying they will be here soon, and i asked where are they currently, and turns out they are working on a move in weymouth which is 1 hour away from my location, I mean who plans a day like this. Finally my move started @ 5;35 PM and i wanted to wrap this up as fast as possible and left behind lot of stuff because of timing constraint, it was getting dark, its raining and nothing is working out, if they would have given me a clear time frame the first or second time I have called i could have atleast finished some others works like cleaning and moving smaller stuff, but my whole day is ruined as they kept promising smaller intervals and i was just a sitting duck, I also removed my internet connections and everything hoping they will be here soon enough. Big NO NO!!!!! when I first hire them for my moving I truly believed all the good reviews on yelp. but the result was awful!!! there are many reasons why 1. Show up 25min late without call/didn't bring contract paperwork either 2. Very slow!! Slackers!! I think they are trying to take time on propose. and even I caught them to on the phone many many times & personal chatting. 3. Bad attitude. specially the leader guy gave me bad attitude a couple of times and trying to avoid not bring big furniture or any tricky spot he needs to move to. without even trying 4. They damaged my furniture & machines. I caught them literally drop them on the floor & scratched. but they didn't admit what they just did. OMG! 5. Over charged. at the end they finally moved all stuffs and charge 3.5 more hrs than what they quote before. I wouldn't mind if they worked hard but they were totally killing time on propose. Excellent experience! Constantin, Mark and Dymitri helped me move last week just before the hellish September 1 hustle, and they were AWESOME! To start, I called InstaTrans less than a week prior to my requested move date, and they had an availability (amazing). I had another question a few days later, and they were happy to oblige any and all information they could. Plus, they called to confirm the day before, which was great. On the day of, as their second job, I was told they would arrive between 12 and 3. They called at noon when they were 30 minutes away, and again when they were on my street right at 12:30. They evaluated everything to move with smiles on their faces, and handled everything with respect and ease. From my second-story apartment we had to move everything off of the first-floor roof (due to narrow twisting stairs), and then to a third-floor walk up in the North End (during the summer tourist season no less). I even had a set of large couches that I was going to drop off at a friend's house in between, and they were totally fine with it. Their positive attitudes and quick work style really made the day smooth and effortless for me. To boot, when my former landlord started yelling at them (not because of anything they did, but because she's crazy, no wonder I left), they handled it very courteously and didn't let it get in the way of doing their job professionally. Arrived on time, took care with my items, efficient and extremely hard workers (took no breaks over 5 hours). Moved from Brookline to Charlestown. They did take duffle bags and packed dressers in spite of what the contract says, but caveat emptor as the contract is specific about not taking personal items in bags or dressers w filled drawers. They brought their own moving blankets and used them on all my furniture, for free. No hidden fees. They were upfront about the 3% additional fee for using credit cards but they take checks as well. The rate was unbeatable and ultimately why I chose them. In spite of being so inexpensive, having no hidden fees and including moving blankets for free, they did an excellent job. These guys are great! I called them only 2 weeks before the busiest moving day of the year Sept. 1st and they were able to fit me in. They sent me a quote and set up the appointment within one day and were quick to respond back to any questions I had. I had a tricky situation where me and my roommate and I were coming from two different apartments and merging into one. We also both had to be out of our apartments on Aug 31st but could not move into our new place until Sept 1st. InstaTrans went to both apartments on Aug 31st, held our things over night and then moved us in on Sept 1st. They were very fast and efficient. They handled everything with care, I even hear one guy yell "Fragile" to the other many times when loading the tuck. The took the time to wrap our TVs and other large furniture so it would not get damaged during the move. They were very friendly and personable, I felt my things would be safe with them. We moved into a 3rd floor apartment and they did not complain once and kept on going up and down the stairs without hesitation. They even installed my air conditioner and put my kitchen table together! They charge based on hours, they had me sign when they started and ended so I knew the correct amount of time they took. At the end they went over every charge with me and made sure I understood them. They made my life so much easier during a very stressful time and I would definitely hire them again! The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to a little conflict with their office. They have you pay a $100 deposit prior to your move. It was sent to me in an email on 8/22 and said due by 8/31. I paid the deposit on 8/29 (after waiting to get my paycheck) and shortly after was told my scheduled move in time was changed from 3-6pm to 5-9pm. My scheduled time has already been changed once before this. When I expressed my annoyance with this, I was told it was because I did not pay the deposit right away and someone else took my time. No where in the email or on the website where you pay the deposit did it say not paying right away would affect your time slot. I was under the impression that as long as I paid before 8/31 I was good to go. I told them this was unclear and they needed to put that information on the website and in the email. After that my time was changed once more to an earlier time that I was happier with. In the end I was happy with the experience. read more

Worked again for a third (or 4th now..) time with these guys. Facilitating the work was a breeze and the post move communication was great. However during the actual move, the two movers assigned to the work were under no rush. My friends at work recommended InstaTrans and they did a great job moving and storing our stuff. The actual bill was within 3% of the quoted price which I was happy about. Everyone was friendly, fast, and efficient at moving our stuff. The only downside of working with them was that their moving truck was quite large. Though I had a moving permit for 2 parking spots on the move-in we were unable to use the spot because the truck was slightly too large even for the 2 spots. They still found a way to load the truck but they had to walk a bit further. Despite this I would definitely recommend to a friend. The detailed review: Just to provide some context, my wife and I hired 2 movers from InstaTrans to help us load up our truck in Boston (we were moving out of state and had friends and family helping us unload at our new place). The booking process was fast and easy - I had a quote hours after requesting a free estimate from their website, and by the next day we had booked the reservation. Their rates were extremely fair, especially considering the quality of the service provided. InstaTrans also confirmed the reservation the day before our move. On the day of our move, Nazar and Co. (crew of 2) arrived 10 mins early and immediately got to work packing up our truck. They were incredibly efficient, and yet took the necessary time to make sure our furniture and fragile boxes were packed securely in the truck. They were finished well before my wife and I had hoped, which was great! When we arrived at our new apt (~3 hr drive) and opened the truck, we were pleased to see that nothing had moved inside the truck - a testament to how well Nazar and Co. packed everything. After getting over 30 quotes for my interstate move, InstaTrans was the lowest. They were also the only company willing to guarantee next day delivery instead of the 0-5 or 14 day window that most companies wanted to give me! I was initially a bit hesitant to book my move due to their no frills approach - no online quote system, informal quote over email with no formal quote form like a lot of the big companies that overcharge you provide, etc. But Nazar was friendly over the phone, so I went ahead and booked the move. I am so glad I did. The two movers came within the two hour window that they gave me with my quote and called in advance to let me know exactly what time they would arrive. I'll start by stating that I unfortunately had to move on the worst day possible in Boston: Sept. 1st. I found InstaTrans on yelp and they were able to accommodate me on this horrible day. That being said, the process to book was seamless and I felt a little less stressed about the move. They gave me a time frame between 2-5pm and said they would call 30 mins before they arrived. Since they planned on getting there so late in the day I took a few trips to my new apt and moved everything I could carry just to make the move a little easier. Around 4:45PM I had heard nothing from the movers and called InstaTrans. She told me they were stuck in traffic and would call me. I was under the impression that regardless they would call 30 mins prior to arriving to make sure I was ready and there. They did not. They finally arrived at 5:15PM which is fine I just would have probably run some errands earlier in the day. The two men who showed up were clearly exhausted from a full day of moving in 90 degree weather but they seriously shouldn't have overbooked themselves. They were pretty much useless and spent so much time trying to figure out how to get certain pieces of furniture out of my apt (all of which i moved myself into the apt a year prior). They took their time which would be fine if they weren't scratching and banging all of my furniture (holy anxiety). Half of my furniture is nicked and they were not careful with any of the things they moved. 2 hours later (ridiculous!!) they tried to move the couch....long story short they couldn't get it out and i ended up telling them to stop and just leave it there because i couldn't take it any longer. When we finally arrived at the new apt they were in such a rush to get the hell out of there that they again were careless with my belongings. My boyfriend and I helped carry things into the apt because we were tired and just wanted them to leave. I have had my fair share of movers on sept 1st but this one was just nightmarish. I was completely prepared and did more than i probably should since i hired movers. I will never use them again. I'm not sure if it was the time of day and we were the last stop or if these two men just completely did not care. After the move I was happy I did use this company - two young guys showed up on time, we professional and experienced, all furniture was completely wrapped and everything handled with care. Nazer, the owner, runs a tight ship. Professional, punctual, courteous and organized is what you want from a moving company, and they delivered. The customer service is excellent. The crew arrived on time and got right to it. These guys can do everything. For us they took apart a heavy and complicated cabinet and made it disappear quickly. The carefully bagged up our box spring and mattresses, wrapped 3 pieces of mirrored furniture and a glass headboard with ease, and were extremely careful with our Knoll fiberglass furniture. These guys can handle breakables and have the brawn to move big boxes and furniture as well. If anything can take the stress out of moving it's having these guys move you. This company gets zero stars from me. I read all the reviews and I don't believe any of them. I scheduled our moves weeks in advance from MA to Georgia. The day before our scheduled move they confirmed and said the would arrive between noon and 2 pm. The morning of our scheduled move they called at 10 am and said they would arrive at 4 pm. After many calls to find out where they were 4 pm became 5 pm and then 6 pm still no movers. I was told oh we will send extra guys do they will load faster. Now mind you my husband and I are scheduled to leave after the truck is loaded to start our drive to Georgia. Finally I'm told by an employee I will be there in 40 minutes this was at 5:30 pm. At 7 pm still no movers. I call back the number of the person who said he would be 40 minutes he said I'm 20 minutes away. I start to tell him how concerned I am at how late they are and that I have lost faith in their business and he says to me what you want to cancel? Before I can open my mouth he says good luck and hangs up on me. I email Nazar to tell him how disgusted I am at his lack of professionalism and that I won't be using their service and want my deposit back. I'm told by the secretary its against their policy to return my deposit. However if I agree to not post any negative reviews they will return my deposit. You know what... Keep my damn deposit if I can save anyone from having the kind of experience my husband and I had today with this company I will! Oh and did I mention one of their employees told me that they were scheduled to finish the first job of the day at 1 pm. So they overbooked themselves from the very start since they were supposed to be aT our house at noon. Stay away from them.
