Who likes moving? Surely NOT me! It's overwhelming, stressful, and can be traumatic for your beloved animals. My sweet Darcy and Jada (cats) were freaking out. Jada made Cujo look like a fluffy puppy. About a month ago, I started the daunting task of looking for a reliable mover who wasn't going to charge me some crazy extraordinary amount. I went on Yelp and did the "select all" option for a quote. Immediately I got a response from Pavel of LUMY Moving Inc. I looked for reviews but couldn't find many. Hours later I received 4 more quotes who had numerous positive reviews and a quote of $145+ per hour! I did some research and saw LUMY was a fairly new company that was founded in 2019. I thought everyone must start somewhere so with a bit of hesitation, I decided to give them a chance. Also, Pavel's price was much more reasonable at $95 per hour. I emailed Pavel several questions along with a change of move date. He was very responsive and accommodating. Well let me tell you, these guys absolutely ROCK! They wrapped all my good furniture up so it didn't get scratched. Got all my stuff out of my old home into the new one in under 4.5 hours! More importantly, they were cautious and good about being sure my baby girls were safe (Darcy and Jada). These 2 guys went way above and beyond! When they were finished, even though they had another job to go to, asked if I needed help with anything. Before Pavel and Max left, I asked what does LUMY stand for? When they told me, I thought to myself; It's obvious isn't it? It stands for "Let Us Move You" If you are moving and seeking a awesome moving company, look no further. I can say with confidence that you would NOT be disappointed if you selected LUMY to assist you with this important day. I think back about judging them on being new and having a lack of reviews. The truth of the matter is, they worked harder than a company in business for a longtime. They want to prove themselves and build a respectable company. They unquestionably are on their way! Reach out to Pavel and Max at 857 316-7875 and book your move today! They offer other awesome services too! www.lumymoving.com Piano Moving Residential/Commercial Furniture Assembly Local/Long-Distance Piano Moving Short/Long-Term Storage Packing, Unpacking & Crating read more

They came on time. They had been wrapping, packing, carrying out, loading, driving, unloading, carrying in, unwrapping and unpacking my staff. I hired them for my relocation from Boston to NY at the beginning of July. These guys were friendly, careful, professionally confident about what they do and quick. Appreciate that! Thank you! read more

I couldn't imagine a moving day to be as easy and smooth as it went with these guys. Punctuality, professionalism, great attitude, are definitely the words to describe this company. Definitely recommend! Thank you, for a great move! read more

We hired Lumy for a move recently, due to their low price and excellent reviews on Yelp. There is no wonder why they have the reviews they do, as they did an excellent job and really left us feeling satisfied and comfortable with our move. The 2 movers did a wonderful job wrapping all our furniture up safely, as well as taking apart our bed and sofa and reassembling them in our new place. They were even able to move the sofa through out basement window when they didnt fit down the stairwell! In addition, they helped us assemble new furniture we received that had just been delivered to our new home. These guys knew how to do everything! I would highly recommend them, and you won't be disappointed. Will definitely use them again if we move in the future, hopefully they stick around too! read more

I was very impressed with the service we received. Excellent communication throughout the entire process. Our move went smoothly and incredibly efficient!! The 2 movers took care with all of the furnishing and boxes. Will definitely use them again for another move. read more

I have moved probably 20 times sadly this is the best movers I have ever used ever!!! they are quick they are so considerate ! I wish I could give 10 STARS when I move in a year I will be using them again read more

This was the best moving experience we have ever had! Let's be honest- moving is the WORST and during a pandemic was a bit more stressful than normal. LUMY moving made the process so smooth that we weren't concerned at all. They were on time, extremely professional, and beyond efficient. We had 3 movers who worked their butts off from start to finish. They wore masks through the whole process and I'm sure that wasn't easy. They were very careful with our stuff and packed the truck like it was a puzzle. We were amazed at how they fit everything so perfectly. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving and will definitely use them again. read more

I used LUMY for a move in August 2019 from Burlington to Malden, with a stopover to store and pickup some things in Medford. There were 3 movers and they were amazing! Super hard working AND fast, polite, and took great care of my things. Highly recommended. read more

I wish that I could give LUMY ten stars. It is no mistake that they have consistently excellent ratings and reviews. This is the most professional, linear, delightful moving company I have ever encountered, and they provided the kind of customer experience that I am eager to SING about!! I reached out to LUMY via Yelp in mid October to get a quote for a Boston-to-DC move. I was out of state the entire month prior to my move, so I would require full packing and moving services. Pavel responded right away and was able to meet my sister at my apartment the same evening to take a detailed inventory, and turned around a very precise fixed-rate quote that same night. I sought six different estimates and LUMY's rate was not only the best, but the best by a long mile. On the day of the move, Pavel and business partner Max arrived with a third mover, Dima -- on time, even a few minutes early. The three were so pleasant and energetic, and worked quickly and diligently, packing my items with extraordinary care. I have a cabinet with nearly fifty wine glasses -- each was individually wrapped with utmost caution. It took the team less than six hours to pack and load the truck. How they were even able to move some of the large items -- like an executive desk that I assembled in the room it was in -- is beyond me, but they got it out beautifully. They provided a thorough walkthrough at the end of the move to ensure that nothing was left behind and set the expectation of when to meet me the next morning at my new DC home. The following morning, the team was right on time and able to unpack all of my belongings in just a few hours. They were eager to put things in the right rooms and the right parts of the rooms to make unpacking a breeze. During the move, my mother and I were fumbling with large heavy packages that had been mailed to my new building, and these gentlemen insisted on helping lug them to my apartment even though this was in no way expected. My furniture was all carefully wrapped in blankets. Not one single item broke during the move. It seems impossible. My furniture did not incur so much as a scratch or a smudge in the careful hands of LUMY. It bears mentioning: LUMY's prices are unbeatable. They structure it so that you pay a 10% deposit to secure the appointment, then you pay 40% following loading and the remainder after unloading. There were no hidden costs. Upon paying, I felt like I had pulled a fast one -- LUMY provides excellent service and unbeatable customer care at a steal of a price. Anyone looking to move should ABSOLUTELY hire LUMY. Pavel, Max and team provide an unmatched level of care at a wildly competitive price, and moreover are a total pleasure to work with from start to end. If I ever move again, LUMY will be my first and only call. Can't express enough gratitude to you guys! Thanks so very much for making my move so easy and providing such a tremendous experience! read more

They were on-time and on-budget. Two really nice, professional movers who wrapped everything and worked quickly. I found them on Yelp and am so glad I did. read more

Great moving experience. Very fast and professional. They were careful while moving furniture in tight staircase. Rate was better than some others I looked into. Highly recommend. read more

Move went well but had a mirror that was 250 and they did not say till they arrived that would cost extra 120 to move it up one flight of stairs. After thinking about it I said fine but I'd want them to anchor it to wall which they said no. Very disappointed. Would have gone with different movers had I known this before. Their info says they can install assemble/dissemble things and no hidden fees. read more

What amazing movers! We had Max and Uri and they were like moving machines. We moved from Boston to Natick and they were extremely efficient. They handled all our stuff with care, especially some of our heavier but expensive pieces. Everything was moved safely and smoothly. Would highly recommend and would use them again! read more

Cannot say enough great things about Max and Paul. They were amazing! I hired them for a family member in the Boston area and I live in Chicago. Everything was done either by phone or by text. They were extremely professional and always answered me on a timely basis. Their customer service went above and beyond and they were extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this moving company to anyone looking for movers. They did a great job the day of the move and were in full communication with me that day as well. Great great company with very nice owners. read more

5 star service from start to finish. LUMY responded right away to my Yelp inquiry with an estimate and availability. They were proactive and reliable with communication leading up to the move. Max and Paul were both friendly, fast, and thoughtful with their work - very professional. When an unexpected obstacle came up due to limited entryway space, they offered different options of how we could proceed. They were incredibly helpful with both planning and on-the-spot support. Thank you for making my move a lot less stressful! read more

Very prompt, professional, and efficient. I would definitely hire again for future move needs!

Very quick response to quote request. Great communication. It was a lower quote than other places. Called when they were on there way. Wrapped all my furniture well. Worked quickly and efficiently. When unloading, they put my boxes labeled kitchen in the kitchen. Great experience. Would recommend. read more

We recently used LUMY for a move from mass to New York and they were awesome! Out of the movers we spoke to they were very reasonably priced and more importantly they were professional, efficient and took great care of our furniture. We had a horrible experience the year prior with movers who damaged a lot of our furniture and we can tell right off the bat they were nothing like the previous movers. Thank you so much Lumy for making our move as smooth as possible. You guys rock! read more

I would highly recommend this company! I called them on a Saturday afternoon and by the very next morning, they were available to help me move a large glass cabinet that I had purchased from 25 miles away, and delivered it back to my house. They packaged it up beautifully for transport. Wrapped in blankets, then in cardboard, then in cling wrap. Fast, diligent, courteous, and very reasonably priced. I was impressed and relieved. Thank you, Lumy! read more

Their website sets them apart from other movers by helping you get as accurate a quote as possible. You basically set up a profile page for your move... almost like a Facebook profile. You can list what furniture you have and post photos of your furniture and narrow doorways so that the guys at LUMY know what they're up against before they even get there. The movers were incredibly hard working. They wrapped up furniture to protect it without me even asking and they disassembled anything that was an issue going down my narrow stairs and then reassembled at my new place. I highly recommend the guys at LUMY and will be using them again in the future. read more

Use these guys, seriously! Not only are they really friendly/personable, but they're super reasonably priced (I called a bunch of places). They packed up & unpacked my things efficiently and quickly, but what really stood out was their total willingness to go above and beyond for me. Long story short, I had a couch that I wasn't sure would fit into my new apartment. After looking at the doors, windows, etc of the new place, they weren't sure either -- but rather than leaving me hanging, they still brought it over to my new place and TRIED to get it in... and ultimately succeeded! -- And if it hadn't fit, they were going to bring it back to my old apartment. This saved me a bunch of my time and money from having to have one of those furniture companies that disassemble your couch come out to me. Anyways, I've moved quite a few times in my life and this was such a great experience start to finish. Highly recommend. read more

They are so effective and careful to all the stuff. I couldn't expect better moving services!

One of my best moving experiences so far. They were fast, super efficient, took care of every piece of furniture with proper wrapping to make sure there were no scratches anywhere. They came bang on time and finished in the exact amount of time that I was quoted. Very courteous, professional and reliable. I would absolutely hire them again for any moves and recommend them to friends. read more

I have moved MANY times, and I can honestly say this is the smoothest move I've ever had...which is incredible to say given this whole crazy Covid time. This company didn't take a deposit, which is always nice, and sent me several emails leading up to the day of the move to confirm. On the day of, they let me know they were on their way, which is ALWAYS a great feeling that your movers are not leaving you high and dry. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. There were several complexities to this move- I live in a 1 bedroom apartment, but have a deceivingly large amount of things, including some large furniture. These guys fit my entire apartment into a 16' pod, which would have NEVER happened if these guys weren't masterful at packing. They literally fit all my boxes and furniture like a jigsaw puzzle, and took great care in making sure all the furniture was wrapped well and tied down. I did not hear one cringe-inducing "clunk" or "bang" of furniture hitting walls or the floor, as I'm sure many of us are familiar with when working with amateur movers. They worked carefully more than quickly, which was fine by me. Also FYI: there is a 3% surcharge if you use a credit card, which I didn't know (perhaps this was on the website or in a correspondence). I honestly didn't care because I was so relieved to have movers that knew what they were doing. I would definitely recommend this company. read more
