I needed a move done on a specific day in late May (an extremely busy month for moving companies) and requested the move less than two weeks out from my required move date. King Movers and Storage was able to accommodate my move for the requested date and explained an estimate based on information I provided to them. The team sent to perform the move did a fantastic job dismantling, protecting (blankets, tape & plastic wrap were used) and reassembling my furniture at the new home. I could not have been more pleased with how the move turned out. read more

King Movers & Storage - Ángel and Ernesto were great - polite, professional, and quick! This was second move with King and I'm very satisfied with my move! - Movers Near Me

Was quoted $1,948 for two hours of time to move one bedroom of boxes/furniture less than a mile away. Let me clarify this is not for a one bedroom apartment, this is to move one literal bedroom of items from a roommate household to another roommate household so no common area items or large furniture like couches/dining tables etc. Frustrating I spent 30 minutes on the phone with them just to get an estimate that's nearly double my rent. So don't waste your time unless you're prepared to spend thousands of dollars. Would be one star, but I added a second star because the guy on the phone was very kind, and one extra star because this is about my dissatisfaction with a moving estimate, not the actual service. Again the employee who worked with me on the phone to provide my estimate was incredibly nice and helpful, I was just shocked to see the price they asked for. read more

I have used King Movers twice...they have really gone downhill, in service and professional results. The last time that we used the service in 2024, they left belongings behind, a lot of stuff. We were repeat customers. We had to move the left items and they gave me grief for requesting a $100.00 credit/rebate. They also "lost" belongings. The other day I was going to give them another chance, and gained quotes for 2 moves....2 locations. I got a lot of confusing information from their rep Regis, mistakes on the quotes, and then a lot of attitude from him as well. When I asked to speak to Santiago I was told "that was a different time"... meaning that the owner no longer talks to customers...he is too big for that now. Never again. They are not the company they once were. read more

They billed for two hours did not work for two hours they took an hour to show up And then billed for items I didn't have like a standing closet How are you gonna make false items They will not reschedule not user friendly read more

We did a big local move with King. They showed up on time, worked hard all day, and treated my possessions like their own. The team was in good spirits through a long hard day and never slacked off. They came very close to their initial estimate, nothing was damaged or scratched, and they made sure that everything in the new home was positioned to our liking. Minor nitpick with management - they have multiple competing scheduling/estimating systems so multiple people from King would contact us throughout the process, seemingly unaware that they were redundant, repeating the same questions, and sowing doubt in my mind that they would actually show up and complete the job. Fortunately, though, everything went perfectly smoothly once they showed up and the job was in the hands of the onsite team leader. read more

We had a great moving experience with king, affordable movers! After usually having frustrating or disastrous moves, we have now moved them twice, and they are great. Very fair and competitive with pricing, and the movers are extremely conscientious about taking time to wrap all the items, make sure all the furniture is very well protected and patiently unwrap it and place it where it should be in the next home. We highly recommend the king affordable movers team. read more

They were 3 hours late and I started off so pissed, BUT they quickly made it up the way I they moved, how careful they were with my Stuff, the questions they asked when they were not sure of something. Ricardo was amazing and so were the guys! Thank you! I'm over them being late / they had issues with the truck. read more

These is the smoothest, most polite, fast movers, I have ever met. They get to the job on time, actually one minute early. They are polite, to a fault. Santiago is the King of all movers. IF you must move, then there is but one mover -- King and the King himself-- Santiago. If there were 6 stars I'd give them that!! read more

King Movers were above and beyond. They called when they were 10 min way. Upon arrival, each worker introduced themselves. Throughout the move, they were respectful and responsive, fast and efficient. On arrival to the destination, greatest of care was taken, padding corners and covering stairs. And fast!! The team worked so well together. They checked in with frequently, asking how we were doing, even though they were the ones doing all of the hard work. We could not be happier. Highly recommend King Movers! read more

I used King Affordable Movers last summer. After reaching out to three moving companies with good reviews, I went with them as they were the most cost efficient. After providing as many details as possible about the furniture, number of boxes, etc. - the minute the movers walked into my apartment, the price doubled the original estimated range they provided. I then used them for storage and when they brought my furniture to the new place, they brought someone else's furniture. I will give them credit that when I pushed for them to come back that day with my furniture, they did and brought extra support to get everything in. I'll also say they were flexible when I asked to push the moving date out one day. The worst part honestly is they taped two paintings together without any paper, which ultimately ruined multiple frames. I've reached out multiple times to no response. I try to only post positive reviews on Yelp, but they keep sending me their promotional emails without actually being helpful to my original emails/ calls. Would recommend looking at multiple options before selecting this company. read more

As I'm still unpacking spring stuff all my spring comforters are missing with a whole lot of my stuff is missing and I'm going to do something about it because it's not fear because one of the movers had an attitude because I have plenty of stuff. They knew how much I had when I booked the mover and he also charge extra. Something has to be done about this. I'm not gonna go with my stuff missing and no consequences for the company. Very unprofessional group. Started with Regel for getting the move quoted, things seemed to be going well. Did the video walk through, got a price. After getting quotes from several movers, I asked for their Best and Final price. Regel had to ask his manager and would "call me back". A day went by so I called back, Regel said Lordas will call you in a few minutes. Another day went by and I called both Regel and Lordas and left messages. No Call Back Another day went by and I called Lordas 3 times, leaving vm each time. No Call Backs. It's obvious they were "Ghosting Me", why, I don't know. Maybe they under bid the job, most likely they're just unprofessional. Several days after a very successful move with Mass Bay Movers in Peabody, who do you think called me? read more

Great experience with King Affordable Movers. Everything from the booking experience to move day went without a hitch. Booking was easy and straightforward. Prices were fair. Service was exceptional. Communication was clear both leading up to move day and on the day itself. Jose, Machito, and Torres took excellent care of our belongings and were true professionals. 10/10 experience. Would use them again next time we move. read more

I needed several large pieces of furniture (larger than I could manage myself) moved into a nearby self-storage unit. So this was a relatively small job. They had a 2-hour minimum, which is better than some other movers who have 4-hour minimums. The estimate sounded reasonable. They were very flexible on scheduling. The 2 movers were prompt, courteous and efficient. They wrapped the furniture well so it was protected during the move. The final cost was the same as the estimate. I recommend King without hesitation. read more

Jose, Efren, Robert, and Machito were the friendliest and most thoughtful movers that we've had ever. We hired the King team to both pack and move our belongings, not only were they the most affordable option that we found, they also delivered extraordinary services. They arrived early and did not fall behind schedule! I was very impressed, given the hot mess status of our home when they arrived. They were not deterred by the scope of the packing job though, and they treated all of our belongings with care. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for packing or moving services! read more

King Movers & Storage - The King team with my fiancé after finishing our pack and move job! - Movers Near Me

king movers staff came to my house to evaluate and we agreed my property to be moved from Brockton Ave 4 bedroomed house to a condominium in Merrimac , Mass. They came on time on 10/31/23. The movers brought a small truck and had to do two loads. They claimed that I included the property that was not assessed during the evaluation, which was lie just because I ended up calling the junk people on the day of moving and got rid of property that was already accounted for. I paid the junk people more than 1.2 K. The movers charged me about $5500,00 something and they charged my card I had used to pay the deposit without my consent. To make matters worse, they stole a lot of things, all my son's shoes were gone, my clothes, desk top computer, steamer for clothes, i cannot name everything. They stole a lot of valuable things from my house. Up to now I am still looking for things and cannot find them. I called the company to report about my desktop computer and they send me a form to complete and I did it after three months and I was told that it was too late. I told them that I am missing things worth more than 3K and they offered to give me 300 which I refused. I lodged a complaint with BBB and they still talked about extra property that they moved and that I did not complete the form in a month. Off coarse they never mentioned about the junk company that I hired. Still it's not easy to pack everything in a month especially when down grading from a 4 bed- roomed house. This company is not trustworthy. Word of advice follow behind them if you hire them, make sure to check their truck when they say there are done. Something I should have done. I pray every day for God to fight my battle, what goes around comes around. They stole a lot of valuable things from me. Patience Mujuru. read more

These are the only movers I've ever used, so I can't compare them to any other company, but I was very satisfied with both of my moves. I've used them twice for local moves (suburban Boston), once in 2021 and again in 2023. I wouldn't have hired them again if I didn't think they did a great job the first time around. They're punctual, friendly, efficient, and flexible about last minute hiccups that pop up in an move. With both moves, they were surprisingly close to the estimate, so if you're detailed in listing your belongings when pricing out the estimate, it'll be fairly accurate. read more

Santiago plus his wonderful team helped us move from our third floor walk up in Somerville to Washington, DC over two days. The team of 7-8(!) took ~2 hours to pack up our large items and many many boxes from our two bedroom apartment before heading off to DC. Unloading everything took ~2 hours too with 3 team members (with an elevator this time thankfully). They were super efficient and polite and I couldn't have asked for better service. Santiago was also very accommodating when I asked my many questions as it was my first time hiring movers for this big of a job. They were on time on both ends and packed their truck well. Nothing arrived broken! Also, their rates were slightly cheaper to other quotes I received for a MA to DC move. I highly recommend King Affordable Movers, you won't regret hiring them! read more

Santiago and his movers left a remarkable impression on my mom and me. Not only was Santiago patient and responsive, but his movers were efficient, kind, and careful. We originally looked for help with moving from Yelp, and Santiago quickly gave us an affordable quote and estimate of the move after providing them the inventory of what needed to be moved. On the day of the move, the 3 movers had arrived slightly earlier than the 1pm-3pm arrival, which was a huge relief in making the time window to move into the new building. They confirmed with us the details of the move, with the 2 hour minimum charge and distance charge, which was helpful in making sure we were on the same page as quoted. After indicating which items needed to be moved, the movers got straight to it and carried all of the items down narrow stars with a 90 degree turn with precision and great care. They wrapped tv, computers, and monitors in a thick blanket, and wrapped the dresser to keep it sturdy. We had a peace of mind with three movers there, as one was able to strategically place the items within the truck for a safe move. Before leaving, the movers took steps to confirm the address of the destination and showed us a tag that locked the back door of the truck. Upon arrival at the destination, the movers utilized large boxes to move all of our items efficiently, and they helped unload within the condo and placed the items in their respective rooms. The whole trip was faster than we had thought, taking less than two hours! At the end, the movers confirmed the total time of the trip, and we hopped on a call with Santiago to make the final payment. The movers were very friendly, kind, and focused on getting the job done. They were perfect for the job! We are extremely satisfied with the move, and we will definitely use them for future moves! read more

After reading many reviews and contacting 15+ companies, we decided to go with King Affordable Movers. We appreciated their friendly upfront approach, easy to understand fair fee structure and affordable prices. Santiago and his team were a delight to work with from start to finish. We had challenges and road blocks every step of the way in our new apartment. Mattress and the dressers didn't fit to second floor, the couch wouldn't go through the doors. My wife and I were extremely nervous and we were trying to think of new plans while the guys were trying all different ways and not giving up. Santiago stayed extremely calm, super focused and assured us he's going to try every possible option for us. Sure enough he did not fail us. He removed (reassembled afterwards) railings, doors, to make the furniture fit, he hoisted the dressers through the second floor window. He's got the job done 100%. We are lucky to have found this company and truly appreciate their hard work. King affordable movers came in with three movers broke everything down, wrapped everything up like it was their own baby took 100% care of everything. If I liked it in one position, we change the furniture around during the move and they were happy to do so, I can't say enough good things this is the best movie experience I've had and I've moved a lot. They made our move stress free and that says a lot! Our interaction with the proprietor(?) , Santiago, was very cordial and detailed. We sourced them from Yelp. Santiago was prompt with the quotes and prompt with frequent follow ups to adjust to our changing schedule. They were probably among the more affordable ones but with clear pricing structure. Their online payment system was updated and user friendly. Now about the day of the move, our appointment was between 8-10am and I got a call from the movers (team of 3) right at 8 informing us they are waiting outside. Very prompt! About the move itself, the movers were very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and with great attention to detail. They ensured that our move was completed within the estimated time; in fact they pushed themselves hard to get to the lower end of their estimate. We didn't have the cash to pay for the move and had to pay a 5% service fee for using the credit card. We were informed about it earlier but guess we were too busy to worry about the 5% charge. Finally, about the movers, they had very happy disposition; they were bilingual - more fluent in Spanish than English. When we tipped them they were very gracious in accepting it. I would recommend them in a heartbeat ! read more
