I have used King Movers twice...they have really gone downhill, in service and professional results. The last time that we used the service in 2024, they left belongings behind, a lot of stuff. We were repeat customers. We had to move the left items and they gave me grief for requesting a $100.00 credit/rebate. They also "lost" belongings. The other day I was going to give them another chance, and gained quotes for 2 moves....2 locations. I got a lot of confusing information from their rep Regis, mistakes on the quotes, and then a lot of attitude from him as well. When I asked to speak to Santiago I was told "that was a different time"... meaning that the owner no longer talks to customers...he is too big for that now. Never again. We did a big local move with King. They showed up on time, worked hard all day, and treated my possessions like their own. The team was in good spirits through a long hard day and never slacked off. They came very close to their initial estimate, nothing was damaged or scratched, and they made sure that everything in the new home was positioned to our liking. Minor nitpick with management - they have multiple competing scheduling/estimating systems so multiple people from King would contact us throughout the process, seemingly unaware that they were redundant, repeating the same questions, and sowing doubt in my mind that they would actually show up and complete the job. Throughout the move, they were respectful and responsive, fast and efficient. On arrival to the destination, greatest of care was taken, padding corners and covering stairs. And fast!! I used King Affordable Movers last summer. After reaching out to three moving companies with good reviews, I went with them as they were the most cost efficient. After providing as many details as possible about the furniture, number of boxes, etc. - the minute the movers walked into my apartment, the price doubled the original estimated range they provided. I then used them for storage and when they brought my furniture to the new place, they brought someone else's furniture. I will give them credit that when I pushed for them to come back that day with my furniture, they did and brought extra support to get everything in. I'll also say they were flexible when I asked to push the moving date out one day. The worst part honestly is they taped two paintings together without any paper, which ultimately ruined multiple frames. I've reached out multiple times to no response. I try to only post positive reviews on Yelp, but they keep sending me their promotional emails without actually being helpful to my original emails/ calls. They had a 2-hour minimum, which is better than some other movers who have 4-hour minimums. The estimate sounded reasonable. They were very flexible on scheduling. The 2 movers were prompt, courteous and efficient. They wrapped the furniture well so it was protected during the move. The final cost was the same as the estimate. After getting quotes from several movers, I asked for their Best and Final price. Regel had to ask his manager and would "call me back". king movers staff came to my house to evaluate and we agreed my property to be moved from Brockton Ave 4 bedroomed house to a condominium in Merrimac , Mass. They came on time on 10/31/23. The movers brought a small truck and had to do two loads. They claimed that I included the property that was not assessed during the evaluation, which was lie just because I ended up calling the junk people on the day of moving and got rid of property that was already accounted for. I paid the junk people more than 1.2 K. The movers charged me about $5500,00 something and they charged my card I had used to pay the deposit without my consent. To make matters worse, they stole a lot of things, all my son's shoes were gone, my clothes, desk top computer, steamer for clothes, i cannot name everything. They stole a lot of valuable things from my house. Up to now I am still looking for things and cannot find them. I called the company to report about my desktop computer and they send me a form to complete and I did it after three months and I was told that it was too late. I told them that I am missing things worth more than 3K and they offered to give me 300 which I refused. I lodged a complaint with BBB and they still talked about extra property that they moved and that I did not complete the form in a month. Off coarse they never mentioned about the junk company that I hired. Still it's not easy to pack everything in a month especially when down grading from a 4 bed- roomed house. This company is not trustworthy. Word of advice follow behind them if you hire them, make sure to check their truck when they say there are done. Something I should have done. The team of 7-8(!) took ~2 hours to pack up our large items and many many boxes from our two bedroom apartment before heading off to DC. Santiago and his movers left a remarkable impression on my mom and me. Not only was Santiago patient and responsive, but his movers were efficient, kind, and careful. We originally looked for help with moving from Yelp, and Santiago quickly gave us an affordable quote and estimate of the move after providing them the inventory of what needed to be moved. On the day of the move, the 3 movers had arrived slightly earlier than the 1pm-3pm arrival, which was a huge relief in making the time window to move into the new building. They confirmed with us the details of the move, with the 2 hour minimum charge and distance charge, which was helpful in making sure we were on the same page as quoted. After indicating which items needed to be moved, the movers got straight to it and carried all of the items down narrow stars with a 90 degree turn with precision and great care. They wrapped tv, computers, and monitors in a thick blanket, and wrapped the dresser to keep it sturdy. We had a peace of mind with three movers there, as one was able to strategically place the items within the truck for a safe move. Before leaving, the movers took steps to confirm the address of the destination and showed us a tag that locked the back door of the truck. Upon arrival at the destination, the movers utilized large boxes to move all of our items efficiently, and they helped unload within the condo and placed the items in their respective rooms. The whole trip was faster than we had thought, taking less than two hours! At the end, the movers confirmed the total time of the trip, and we hopped on a call with Santiago to make the final payment. The movers were very friendly, kind, and focused on getting the job done. King affordable movers came in with three movers broke everything down, wrapped everything up like it was their own baby took 100% care of everything. Got it a long in 4 1/2 hours time asked me where they wanted things if I wanted things moved. They made our move stress free and that says a lot! Our interaction with the proprietor(?) , Santiago, was very cordial and detailed. We sourced them from Yelp. Santiago was prompt with the quotes and prompt with frequent follow ups to adjust to our changing schedule. They were probably among the more affordable ones but with clear pricing structure. Their online payment system was updated and user friendly. Now about the day of the move, our appointment was between 8-10am and I got a call from the movers (team of 3) right at 8 informing us they are waiting outside. Very prompt! About the move itself, the movers were very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and with great attention to detail. They ensured that our move was completed within the estimated time; in fact they pushed themselves hard to get to the lower end of their estimate. We didn't have the cash to pay for the move and had to pay a 5% service fee for using the credit card. We were informed about it earlier but guess we were too busy to worry about the 5% charge. After reading the good reviews, I was looking forward to hiring King Affordable Movers. I sent in my request to work with them. I called to follow up. It took her a while to find my name. She finally did and said I would get a call back. Then, an hour later she sent me an email as if we never spoke. No one called me back. I called again this morning. He could not find my name. I waited again while he spoke to his supervisor. After 10 minutes he said there is no information about my move in their system. The move is tomorrow, so I had to quickly find another company.
