I hate moving. You bribe friends with pizza and beer, and then make 100 little trips back and forth with whatever you can cram into your vehicle. Not this time! We hired Fabio Moving Company to move us from our second floor apartment to our new home. Holy crap, these guys are amazing and worth every single penny. I was amazed at how quick and how careful they moved everything. They wrapped furniture and other large items carefully and took our bed frame apart. I was also impressed how they were able to parallel park that moving van on Somerville Ave. They were joking with us the entire time. Roger has biceps the size of tree trunks. When it came time to unload at the new place, they asked us where we wanted boxes (they even unloaded things into our basement) and they put our bed back together. Fabio and his team (Scott) did an extraordinary job moving a big sectional sofa out of a small house and into our offices. They managed to fit oversize pieces down an impossibly narrow and steep stairway after carefully wrapping it to ensure no damage, they were careful of the house as well as the furniture, they took time to move and then put back things that were in the way, they were good humored, polite, and respectful. These guys are first class and they break their backs to get the job done. Gentle Giant and the others nickel and dime the hell out of you. Fabio and company really deliver. We bought a house from 1750 in the north shore and they even crawled under the half basement to store large items and carried heavy furniture to the third floor with small staircases. I can't say enough good things and Fabio and Jeff (the two guys that helped us move). I tipped them $300 and felt like I may have been light. I felt like I saved so much money that it was well worth it. Probably left a good $500 or $1000 in my pockets for new house expenses. If your on the fence about them don't be. Pull the trigger. I found Fabio Moving Services online and really liked the great Yelp reviews. Our office was moving and we had some miscellaneous fragile items that we were worried about. Fabio and one other team member (can't remember his name) came a few minutes early and texted me to let me know they were outside. They brought all necessary wraps, straps, boxes, etc. and got started right away. They were very quick and worked well together. We were worried about all of the computers and monitors but they wrapped them all and were very careful. Fabio even wrapped our water cooler so it didn't leak on the way to the new location. Everything made it to the new office in great condition and not a single item was broken, scratched or damaged in any way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone who is moving and will most likely use them next time I move myself! read more

10 STARS!! I loved working with these guys. The booking process was easy, and on the day of the move, they were on time, as promised and ready to go. Moving is awful, but hiring these guys took the sting out of the stressful process. We were moving from a two bedroom apartment to a house, and they had one truck and three movers. Fabio went over the process and some details regarding their moving process and they were off! They are FAST. They took off the door from the hinges (and replaced it, of course) and furniture was wrapped and out of the door. Even my crappy IKEA chairs were individually wrapped and loaded with care in the truck. The guys were friendly, and were extremely professional. I went out to CVS to get them water and powerade, and by the time I got back the apartment was nearly empty! What would have taken my partner and me 10 hours and a ton of muscle aches and pains, they did in 4 hours (and we were pain -free!). When they got to the new property, they asked where things should go and that was that! Nothing was damaged, everything was in place, and Fabio and his crew left with a smile. Hands down, entirely worth the cost. Having had moved three times in four years, we were not going to do this one. Our friend recommended Fabio, who he had used twice, and his family has used many times. I called around many times and found their pricing to be more reasonable than other moving companies, and they supplied all the materials they needed. You will feel like a queen (or king). Nothing is a problem for Fabio and his men. Your wish is their command, no matter how long it takes, or how difficult it may be. Talking with Fabio, I really appreciate the ethics with which these guys worked. The three of them moved my ~1 bdrm apartment quantity of stuff from the third floor (no elevator) to the fourth floor (no elevator) in about 3.5 hours. This was quite a feat considering some of my stuff is antique and required extra care in protection and handling. I found this company here on Yelp and decided to look into it since every other moving company had a 3-hour minimum for moving. And I was only moving from my place in Brighton to a 2 BR in the North End. I don't have a lot of furniture since I've only been here for a year and I definitely did not think it would take 3 hours to move it, so I was happy to stumble upon this place that only had a 2-hour minimum. The only thing is that you have to pay in cash, but I didn't mind since the 2-hour minimum was what I was looking for. Fabio and another mover came when they said they would and quickly moved my stuff into their truck. They quickly, but carefully wrapped my heavy furniture and TV into the truck (which was way bigger than what I needed), and finished the move into my place in the North End in less than 2 hours. They were quick and total professionals. I was very pleased with the service especially considering that the North End has narrow streets and is always crowded with people walking around. I would definitely recommend them for a move, especially for a smaller, quick move since they have that 2-hour minimum. read more

Fabio is our go to guy when moving locally within Boston. They are friendly, fast, and efficient. The rate is as good as it gets for quality, reliable, professional movers within Boston. If you have moved in Boston you will know this already, but you need to book far in advance (at least 3 months for September 1) to ensure you can book for a morning move on the day you want. We've used Fabio twice. Once from Fenway to Brighton (near BC) at the end of August, and another Brighton to Brookline/Brighton/Allston area (closer to BU) on September 1st. We secured the permits ourselves. They were punctual, efficient, and did not have difficulty navigating the Boston traffic. Both times we had them booked first thing in the AM, so there was no client before our move. All the guys are polite and nice, they even helped me get our AC out of the window. Both of our moves we lived on the 2nd floor, then our last move we moved into a 3rd floor, which had an additional flight to get onto the first floor. They even disassembled and reassembled our furniture as needed. Nothing was damaged in our first move. On our second move 1 Ikea armoire was a little damaged due to the size of it, but we could fix it. Keep in mind, Ikea is compressed particle wood furniture, which will not be covered by any mover's insurances- so we knew this would be a risk and were fine if the Ikea furniture didn't survive the move. Both times all of it arrived perfectly fine, and they mitigated any damage by disassembling and reassembling what they could. Overall, we are very happy with them and would highly recommend for any local move. This next move is interstate, and their company is just too small to do a move like that well. The price they quoted, with the amount we would be responsible for on our own (supplying the truck and insurance) did not make sense. We did research and used a larger company that has dedicated staff for these types of moves. Only item to note is their front desk staff is not very responsive or reliable (Jenny). My only caution would be to do your due diligence of following up, confirming receipt of any deposits etc. However, Fabio himself is lovely. In my opinion we would not hesitate to use them again for another local move. read more

I've moved between Boston area neighborhoods four times in the past five years, with different moving companies, and I have to say my experience with Fabio has been the best of them all. My fiancee and I were moving from Brookline to Cambridge and given a reasonable quote. Jenny was super helpful and answered all my questions in a timely fashion. I was originally given the time frame of 1:00-2:30pm for my move, but Fabio called me about ten minutes early and was all ready to go! The moving crew consisted of Fabio and another gentleman (can't remember the name), both of whom were extremely professional. Given the rainy day on which I was moving, I was more than impressed with their service. They were very diligent and careful with moving our stuff, especially our large couch that was difficult to maneuver down the spiral staircase. I felt bad that they were working so hard and wouldn't even let me offer them water or a snack! While I only have moved stuff for one-bedroom sized apartments in the past, I HIGHLY recommend Fabio Moving Services. I moved apartments within Brookline on September 1st, which is an insanely busy moving day. After a few too many Uhaul/station wagon moves, I was ready for professional movers. I found Fabio's Moving on Yelp because of the positive reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. I made my appointment a month in advance, and they communicated well via e-mail. I boxed all my small stuff in advance, and prepped some of the furniture. The moving day was over 90 degrees, and traffic was crazy, so I was a little worried. Fabio and his team showed up half an hour early (after calling to confirm) and with a third, extra guy to help. They were very professional and careful with my stuff.
