READ THIS BEFORE HIRING THEM!! They cracked our marble dinning room table during the short move from our storage unit to our home. Unfortunately I didn't notice all the cracks at first look because they all camouflaged into the table, I paid them cash and they ran out without getting me my receipt, or mention anything about the large cracks going down the table!! My wife and I noticed the cracks less than ten minutes later, immediately called the company to inform them of the problem. We were immediately met with dishonesty. The person that communicated with us was saying that "the table was cracked before it was ever picked up." (Which I know is a direct lie, I moved the table to storage myself and had it packed away safely.) The person speaking on the phone sent a picture of the cracked table, when it was already outside the new home with the damage, and claimed they sent her that picture to inform her that the table was already broken. But they also sent a picture of a broken lamp that was already broken from inside the storage unit, and claimed the pictures were to protect them if anyone claiming they damaged their property. But the weird thing to me is why wouldn't they take a picture of the table BEFORE it was moved from the storage unit??!! That just shows how DISHONEST they are trying to be. When I pointed out that I should've been informed in the beginning of anything was broken before they moved it, or made aware at some point that the table was broken. They hung up in my face and are refusing to deal with my problem. I was specifically informed that they were insured if there were any problems during the move and I'm being completely ignored. I'm going to have to go ahead and follow through the court system. I understand that mistakes happen but they gotta follow through and deal with it through their insurance, THATS WHAT INSURANCE IS FOR! They either don't have it or don't care about ripping off their customers. You only need a couple/low value things moved, sure go ahead and hire them. Have anything that's valuable or fragile? Great service! This is the second time I have hired Lemus Moving to help me with my move. They gave me a courteous call the morning of to let me know they were stuck in traffic - no worries - it gave me an extra 15 minutes to finish things up. These guys are pros at what they do , when they show up they are ready to get the job done! And they do ! I have a couple of really heavy pieces of furniture that don't fit easily thru doorways without some effort. They maneuvered them with ease! At the same time being careful not to damage anything. This should be negative stars - they should not be in business. Literally the worst moving experience ever. While they did arrive on time one of their workers did not wear a mask (we asked ahead of time that they all wear masks given some of the family members being elderly and the rapid rise in cases in massachusetts). I asked him to wear a mask and he ignored me. I asked again and handed him a mask he refused and so I asked again because given the current covid situation it's not unreasonable to ask. He got mad and told the other workers they were leaving. They immediately unloaded the truck drove off. No discussion. Also- When they first arrived they didn't explain that they needed us to remove the drawers in the dresser and it's contents (our previous movers just wrapped the dresser with its contents and moved the entire dresser intact). Rather than speaking to my parents they DUMPED all of the contents onto the floor and we had to sort through it afterwards. There were items of high sentimental value in that pile and cannot be replaced yet they had no regard for them. This is highly unprofessional and none of these guys should be movers. This is unacceptable! And on Christmas Eve. We were so lucky that another company was able to come the same day (Boston best rate movers - amazing!). You do not damage and dump other peoples belongings on the floor if you're helping them move. And with massachusetts reaching almost 11,000 cases yesterday it's not unreasonable to ask you wear a mask. The other moving company had guys who wore a mask the entire time. read more

Sorry for the delay in writing this review it may be a little long, but worth telling you my experience. My husband and I were very pleased with the service, the professionalism these guys had (George and his Team). In addition, to moving your belongings. They are pretty fast, efficient and they care about your things and showed up on time within their time frame. Rima, is also a great contact person to book your move through. She answer's your questions and is prompt about responding to any concerns or questions you may have. The quote, I was giving was very affordable, even going over an half hour more. Still no biggie. These guys, were so great! I can't stress enough if you need a moving company. Please don't hesitate to call Rima at Lemus Moving Company. This company is like none other. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that there are other great moving companies out there. But compared to service, rate and courteous, no comparison by far in my opinion. The rates were cheaper than every other moving quote I received from various movers in the Boston area. The Lemus quote also included 3 movers, instead of the standard 2, handcarts and blankets. Traveling this last move from Boston to Martha's Vineyard, getting up at 2:30, going to a wear house by 4:30 in Worcester, taking a ferry, to my house, then attempting to get on a smaller ferry on Chappaquiddick, only to be turned away as the tide was low and they needed their truck to get weighed. Such an upset! I went with Lemus as my moving company about a year ago and was pleased so I thought I'd use them on this go-round and in the interim I also referred them to friends that gave them business also. Well, this time was a completely different experience. None of the same men did the job and perhaps that's a contributing factor but... 1) My moving estimate was $200 off target when the first time I moved it was correct (you submit an inventory list and move location for a reason...) 2. My furniture was damaged and not well cared for by the movers which was documented. 3. The move time was inflated by half an hour, something I brought to the attention of the company owner and he said he would fix with my credit card information however did not. 4. I spent significant time on the phone with Anthony, the rep and then the owner to no avail of compensation. In fact the response to my damage was "the movers say was already like that" Be warned... Ps: It says this nowhere on their website to-date, but don't expect to be getting any of your plants moved either. Apparently they are not allowed to bring any plants on their truck. We checked local and national companies for our move from Pennsylvania to Salem NH. We had a short list of recommended local movers in Boston and called several for quotes. Rima at Lemus gave us the best price and guaranteed it. I was a little anxious about getting what I paid for. Most reviews were good to excellent but there was one that had some concern and said Jorge didn't show up. Jorge did come on our move and was clearly in charge. He and his crew were very professional in caring for all our stuff. They wrapped it with care and moved it from 3 stories to the truck and into our new home with great care. One of the workers also drove our car for a fair price. We needed storage for 2 days which was provided in a secure location at no additional cost. Rima was great to work with on the phone, very pleasant a no efficient. Jorge was quite apologetic about one small table that got broken. With all the furniture, equipment and boxes we had them move I was amazed nothing else Was damaged. He compensated us more than fairly without any disagreement. Getting a quote and getting everything scheduled was really easy--Rima is great! Our crew went above and beyond to take care of all our stuff and make sure everything was where we wanted it when we got to the new place. Everyone was so nice even though they had to be at our place at 6 am ha. I'm very pregnant and when we got to the new place they put aside a chair for me without being asked--a little gesture like that meant a lot during a stressful day of moving. I have moved a lot, and used many moving companies, and this is BY FAR the worst experience I've had. Below is the whole story, but basically, moving is stressful enough, don't use this AWFUL company. First, I booked with Anthony, their Relocation Consultant over the phone. At this time, I explained the extent of our move and gave him my credit card, which he was to charge a deposit to that day. About a month later, I get a call from Anthony while I'm at work, and right off the bat, he starts berating me because the card didn't go through. Even though they had said the card would be charged right away, they waited a month to charge the deposit, and during this time I had been issued a new card. When I tried to calm him down and give him the new card number, he continued to yell at me, until I had to hang up. I promptly emailed right after our conversation saying he no longer had authority to charge my card and I didn't know if I wanted to use their company any more. He charged the card anyway. I had my boyfriend call and sort it out, and we decided to stay with them because it was too last minute to find another company for our move. A few days later, I realize on my bank statement that the card has been charged the deposit twice, so that's another mistake that had to be cleared up. The day of the move, the movers show up in a small truck, with incorrect information saying they were told to bring my stuff to storage, which was wrong. We had to wait a half hour for a new truck to come, and no, this half-hour was not comped, even when I spoke with the owner. The actual movers did a great job, for the most part, but they didn't even work for Lemus. They were contractors who didn't know Lemus policies. They kept asking if I had more boxes because they were only told to move a certain amount of stuff, which makes no sense because I was paying by the hour, and I had filled out the inventory. Needless to say, we wound up bringing a lot of stuff over by car because they were stressing us out so much about the amount of stuff (even though there was plenty of room in the truck). Even though this company was cheaper than others, it was just awful dealing with them. Anthony is a crazy person who will scream at you over the phone over a simple credit card mishandling (on their part), and the owner, George, is unwilling to apologize for their mistakes or comp part of the payment, even though I paid for a half over when there was no truck! I was lucky they were even able to get a new truck on 8/31, which is traditionally the second craziest moving day in Boston. I would NOT take your chances on this company. It was a debacle from beginning to end, and I just hated working with them. read more

These guys worked fast, took excellent care of our furniture and never took any breaks or even looked at their phones! When we got everything to the new apartments it was clear we still had too much furniture. We used Lemus for a long distance move from Somerville, MA to Florida. After getting multiple quotes, we chose Lemus. They gave us a flat rate and would load our stuff on one truck and it would be delivered in FL in 2-3 days. That was ideal since we didn't want multiple transfers and they provided a concrete time frame for delivery. However, there were a few hiccups. First, we were assured that they could get all of our things on the truck. Well, they didn't. We had to leave behind a couple of area rugs, $200 worth of flower pots, a CD cabinet, and some lamps. So, that did not make us very happy. Second, we wanted to pay the balance with a credit card when they arrived in FL. I was told that would not be a problem if we paid 60% up front. Well, when they left our house in Somerville, we had to pay the remaining balance. Needless to say, I was surprised but at that point my hands were tied since all (almost all) our belongings were loaded on the truck. Overall, I wanted to use a small, local company because I wanted to support locally instead of using a national chain. But, had I known then what I know now, I would use a larger company with more experience. As an aside, the guys that delivered our stuff in Florida were great. I had to choose a moving company from where I live in AZ. , to move my sister in Haverhill, MA. to another apartment in Haverhill with only 3 day's notice. Lemus Moving was helpful as I stated her needs and how I would be the one paying for the move, long distance, etc. They realized they were working with some unknown factors as I couldn't give them exact amount of boxes (and my sister wasn't too cooperative in making the pricing process easier) but did have the big pieces of furniture itemized for them. In the office, Rima worked with me ironing out the details. She was understanding and compassionate and very helpful and I felt she cared, it wasn't just a job to her. My sister wasn't "on the ball" on her end so I know the movers had to move many things that weren't even in boxes, come moving day. They arrived on time and their fees were quite reasonable and they got the job done within the quoted time, even disassembling her bed and reassembling it in the new apartment as there was nobody else to do that. I hired Lemus movers for a local move. I got quotes from a whole bunch of people and theirs was the lowest priced. Initially, I went with a different mover but they screwed up the dates and I decided to go with Lemus. The moving coordinator, Rima, was absolutely awesome. Her responses were super quick and professional. The quote was transparent and we didn't have any hidden charges on moving day. Before moving day, I had packed most of the stuff in boxes and labeled properly. That made things a lot quicker on moving day. The three movers brought a huge truck and got to work really quickly. We moved from a small one bedroom apartment and there was still a LOT of stuff to move. The movers only dismantled what had to be and moved the rest of the stuff as is. On the downside: 1) none of the men wore masks (I guess it's understandable). I had a newborn, so I just stayed out of their way, 2) they did damage a number of pieces of furniture--my desk, table, couch. Nothing major but lots of chipped edges, small dents, etc. The mattress was very hard to move and they ended up breaking the frame to get it up. Personally, I didn't care too much because most of these aren't all that valuable and easy to replace. But if I had really good furniture, solid wood or expensive antique pieces, I wouldn't call on them. But overall they were quick and the price was very affordable. You get what you pay for here. We experienced some hiccups with parking once in the north end, and this team of movers sprung into action and got the move done in a timely manner, despite being parked much further from my building than expected.
