The last time I ate at Bonefish Grill was before I joined Yelp, so I'm guessing 2010 or 2011. That experience back then was totally fine, but the Columbus Fish Market was my favorite seafood restaurant back then. That and Bonefish Grill is not on OpenTable so getting a reservation at the Fish Market (and Red Lobster) required much less effort since those restaurants are on OpenTable. We'll now fast forward to January 2020. The Columbus Fish Market is now Mitchell's Fish Market and it's on a steep decline. And a discount offer for Bonefish Grill popped up on my Chase credit card. So we decided to give them a try again for dinner this past week. We had to call to make a reservation, but otherwise making a reservation was not a problem. We were promptly seated and orders were taken. I ordered the Lobster Imperial, which was one of the day's specials. My wife ordered their sirloin steak as a part of the Tuesday prix fix menu, and the kids got kids meals. We also got the bang bang shrimp for appetizer. The highlight of the meal was the flavor of the meals. They all tasted amazing! The price was also quite reasonable for a seafood restaurant in Ohio. Up to this point, we're looking at a 5-star review. The downsides to this restaurant however are the following-- they have absolutely no craft beers available (unless you count Sam Adams), and the presentation of the food (as you can see in my picture) leaves a lot to be desired. I've made better looking plates myself at a buffet line before. So all in all, mostly good with just a bit of room for improvement. read more

I cannot believe I have never reviewed this place. I have eaten here several times, though I do not like chain restaurants. Bonefish Grill is an exception. To me it doesn't feel like a chain, and has that local feel. I absolutely love the menu, from all the seafood, and steak options. They even have a few chicken dishes. Salads are always good. And if you're not on a diet, the bread they bring out as wonderful. I was here with a group of eight recently, and we had two waitresses/waiters taking care of us. One was in training but she did a pretty good job for only being there a few days. We all had something different from the menu and left very satisfied. I will always continue to come back to bonefish Grill as it's one of my favorite places for Seafood. read more

Service was amazing, food has clearly taken a nose dive. I have been a patron here for nearly a decade. Always have had good experiences prior to my last 2 visits. The most recent visit in particular, the service was wonderful as always, but the food was SERIOUSLY lacking. Special was a sautéd salmon with garlic butter. Came deep fried with breading which was not described on the menus listing. Fish was 1000% frozen, fishy taste was absolutely overwhelming. Mashed potatoes listed on the menu as "Garlic Whipped Potatoes, yet they were lumpy and not smooth. The consistency of the menu has clearly not been upheld, and I believe new management would be the most obvious culprit here, otherwise, have no idea why my last few visits have been sub par. read more

The blistered tomatoes yummmmm (unfortunately I only have 3 .... yup, 3 pieces of cherry tomatoes), a dollop of delish cheese fondue, basil and pesto. This entree was comped (Thank You). CONS: those weren't pretzel balls or smoked almond, but Gnocchi , yes... as adv on the pic, it's supposedly fried (per manager).... ok, but why mine looks like turd balls. Pleasantly surprised by menu, food quality, service, spacing out the courses just right and reasonably priced.

Food was outstanding. And as good as it was, the service was extremely inattentive. Came in on a Tuesday night for dinner. Got immediately seated and the waiter came by to take my drink/appetizer order. Got the Ahi Tuna appetizer which was terrific and a glass of water. Ordered a side salad and the scallops with shrimp skewer. Salad came out quickly, but due to COVID, there was no pepper on the table. Waited and waited and waited for the waiter to come back so I could request pepper. Barely started to eat when the entree came out. Both the shrimp and the scallops were small, but they were very good. Had a side of broccoli, which didn't look very appetizing, but was also quite good. Also had the coleslaw, which was dry and nothing special. Waited and waited and waited for a refill on my water. When the punk server did come by, he just wanted to upsell me on desert, drinks, or their loyalty club. I will come here again, but will sit at the bar. read more

I went to Bonefish Grill because of the dinner for two specials they advertised and their fantastic happy hour. The service was quick, and we were seated upon arrival. It was not too busy, and the restaurant needed to be more spotless. Our waitress was amiable and greeted us immediately with warm bread and olive oil. We took advantage of the happy hour special, which was also quickly prepared and served to us. An appetizer was not offered for dinner for two, but we opted for the Brussels sprouts, which were tasty and cooked to our liking. Nice and crispy. Our main dishes came out hot and prepared well also. We then finished our meals with a Key Lime pie slice for two, which was so big that we had to take it with us to finish up later. Wow! Just got the family Salmon meal and it was impressive! It came with house salad (mixed greens, nuts/seeds, tomatoes, olives and turnip) seasonal veggies or potatoes (we chose veggies-- broccoli cooked to perfection) bread and cookies (chocolate chip or white macadamia) Definitely a great portion of Salmon which was grilled superbly!! We arrived just in time to be sat for our reservation. (I would recommend a reservation on the weekends.) Our server was attentive and quick!! We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer. They were so good, full of crab and flakey. The aïoli sauce was a little spicy but so good and complimented the crab cake well. We both ordered a pairing meal which means it comes with 2 main dishes and 2 sides. I got the filet mignon and the shrimp. My steak was fixed to perfection and the shrimp were so juicy and the seasoning was so good and not over powering. My sides were the mashed potatoes and the asparagus, very good. My husband got the filet and crab cake with coleslaw and Mac n cheese!! We ordered dessert to go. I ordered the key lime cake, which is a huge piece of cake and so good minus the coconut (not a big fan) and my husband got the chocolate chip cookies! I have never felt the need to actually leave a review, but had a pretty bad experience. The dinning room was not even half full and I understand being understaffed, but our waitress walked away multiple times while we were talking to her. Crab cakes were undercooked and very loose the first time they arrived and when they remade they were the same. Linguini and clams came with clams not opened, which is not a good sign. I have not been here in years but have always enjoyed the experience and food, but will not go back. read more

Friday night, my wife and I decided to change up our usual spots and try Bonefish Grill out. I hadn't been here in a couple of years and it was great to be back. We started with the calimari appetizer, which was fantastic. I then got the bang bang shrimp tacos and they were so delicious. If you are looking for a fun, upscale, happy hour to attend, please try this place out. They have 5 dollar cocktails and discounted apps if you sit in the bar area. Their home made bread and dipping oil was so good to start. Our service was fantastic, shout out to our server Georgie for constantly checking on us during a hectic time. It was..... sub par. My expectations were much higher. My wife, two of our good friends, and I went to Bonefish for my birthday. The place was pretty on the inside! It was dark; kinda swanky! I was excited. I'm skeptical of seafood restaurants unless they're on the coast or in the south. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer. I'm not going to lie, I have never had mussels before so I have nothing to compare it to, but they weren't bad! My party said they've had better, but we ate them in entirety. I ordered Chilean sea bass with rice and broccoli. The sea bass was OUTSTANDING. It tasted fresh, was cooked perfectly, and I will have trouble ordering anything else (if I ever go there again...). My rice was extremely over cooked. It was soggy, wet, and all clumped together. Yuck. It was also bland.... I added more salt than pepper. And it was still just kinda gross. My broccoli was cold and really dry. It tasted like it was precooked and doused in the artificial lemon juice that comes out of a bottle. It was edible because I was hungry. My wife ordered the Parmesan crusted rainbow trout. It had the skin completely stuck to it.... which was pretty gross. Very messy to eat. However, she loved the whipped potatoes! My friend ordered the cod imperial. It was GROSS. It was so covered in some gross, thick sauce that you couldn't tell what was fish, crab, or scallops. And it all tastes the same. It looked like puke, tbh. Again. The potatoes were the best part. My other friend ordered a crab cake/steak dinner and said everything was delicious. Lucky duck. This was my first time here with my parents. They hyped it up, and as a fish lover, I was excited. The bread is delicious. I loved the oil and it tasted like it has pesto in it. I'm not sure but it was yummy. The calamari and bang bang shrimp were also good. Unfortunately we went during happy hour, but there are no food specials - only drinks. My salmon, well it came out undercooked. I asked for a new one which took 15 minutes. My family was done with their meals. I ordered the larger portion of salmon, but the new piece I was given was the smaller one. I was tired of waiting so it was fine. When the bill came, I was still charged for the larger one. They fixed it, but that was all. We still paid full price. The manager came over and said he heard there was a salmon undercooked and if I liked the new one. That's all. I was expecting a little more for the wait and for a fish restaurant, they should know how to cook fish. It was good but I'll probably stick to just their apps. read more

Once we ordered our bartenders, never checked back with us to see how we were enjoying our entrées. They were more interested in doing their side work and getting out for the night. what a disappointing experience especially service wise food was not bad. I will give it a 3 out of 5. I am very glad that I called ahead and got 6pm reservations on Christmas Eve. They text you on your phone when your seat is ready. It was so crowded there which must be because people really enjoy it here. The waiter that we had was very ridged and not very inviting. We felt that because the restaurant was full that he was rushing us so that we could leave when we just got there. We let him know this was our first time there and that we would like to take our time with ordering our food. Unfortunately the Cod dish that I received was dry and bland. They did take it off of the bill. I substituted it with the shrimp and Fries which was good overpriced because I could have made those shrimp in my air fryer. Martinis pineapple and pomegranate are very delicious. I would go back but only if it was to go with someone who had never been there before. I can't see myself going out that far for feeling like I had mediocre service and food again...of course we tipped him as we should but he seemed surprised... not sure what was on his mind about that but hey it was Christmas Eve and still 55° outside. read more

Oooh I love Bonefish. Especially happy hour, 4-6:30 daily. I have been wanting to make it to Sunday brunch here but cannot seem to make it then, they have a lobster Benedict! So happy hour on a weekend, especially offering items not on the regular menu like wagyu sliders... They also have drink specials at $5/ea, daily. All I can say is wish there was one closer to me, I would probably live there. Service is impeccable, always. With a set up like the Polaris location, you walk-in to the bar area and then off to the right is the dining room. Travelling the next day I stopped to get some food to take home. I had a free Bang Bang shrimp coupon, for dine-in only. The staff was really great and let me use my coupon anyway even though I wasn't staying. I didn't have to wait long for my food either. I got the Bang Bang Shrimp, Cod Imperial, and the brownie to go. They even gave me some bread and olive oil! It was all mouthwatering amazingly delicious. Flying out the next day, I made it my personal mission to eat everything. I didn't want to waste any of the goodness. My advice to you, is not to ever do that! My husband and I came here tonight to celebrate my birthday. We both had never had Bonefish Grill before so we wanted to try something new on my birthday. We were so pleased we choose this restaurant tonight as the service was just wonderful. The waitress introduced us to the menu and let us know what the best things are at the restaurant since both my husband and I are used to eating salmon we thought we would go with that but there was a twist tonight. If you all know my background, I don't typically eat shellfish but the dish I had tonight was enough to break the rules. My husband and I ordered the Tilapia Imperial which was stuffed with shrimp, scallops and crab meat and a lemon caper butter. Bless me for I have sinned, I loved a dish comprised of shellfish. Not only did I love that, but that spaghetti squash it was mouth watering good. As well as the roasted garlic mashed potatoes. It's like my mom's cooking but so delicious! Here comes the best part of the entire night. So the restaurant ran out of the flourless chocolate torte I think they usually serve customers as a complimentary birthday gift. Due to the fact they ran out of it, I was allowed to choose anything off the dessert menu complimentary from the restaurant. Therefore, I went with the creme brulee and it was just so delicious. Am I actually going to give this 5 stars? Yes I am. It was date night. It was a great date night, starting with this place. We got off work earlier than expected (though we had been hoping,) and looked for someplace open a bit late on Saturday night. Sweetie had been here before, and it was open late and not too far away. When we walked in it was pretty busy, but we were still seated immediately. From that point, the service was excellent. Not intrusive and hovery, but when we needed something it was there (okay, the silverware wasn't, but that was quickly fixed.) Our server was friendly and efficient, joking with us later on and drawing an impressive bony fish on our takeout container. The food? Excellent. After ordering the bang bang shrimp I read a negative review of it, but when it arrived it was great. Tasty, hot, crunchy under the sauce, a large portion for an appetizer. The bread and pesto were perfect. The steak and crabcake dinner was a star- each item was great on its own, and we polished off every bit of the main items and the seasoned broccoli (cooked just enough) and garlicky mashed potatoes. We didn't have room for dessert but were tempted by the chocolate creme brulee before getting key lime pie to go. We enjoyed it later; good crust, good filling, just wow. read more

This made my wife very uncomfortable as we find Bone fish to be a higher class restaurant than that. I was very disturbed to find out that management was going to the bar with employees after work and smoking weed by the dumpster during their shift. Brad goes around gossiping to everyone and is not a very good role model. Earnest and Justin are the only two managers who set a good example. Wine dinner tonight at Bonefish Grill. All staff were professional, well-trained and efficient. 4 courses all served in a timely manner at a pace that allowed a diner to enjoy the food yet not wait forever for the next course. Both the kitchen manager and the chef visited our table to check on how the dinner was going. The dinner highlighted Rombauer wines, a new Napa wine for me. Wines were excellent and well-paired with 4 courses. All 4 courses were excellent although the white salmon course was especially good, maybe a little dry for some palates but perfect for me. Dessert was superb (and whimsical). Portions were too big and we all ended up with to go boxes. Too much food on the plates! Would have preferred half of each dish. 6 oz pours of wine also overly generous--with 4 glasses that was 24 ounces at the meal, too much!!! However, the meal was a great success and well-worth the money. I would definitely recommend the wine dinners at this restaurant. Next time I would ask for more modest servings. I commend the staff for pulling a complicated meal, served professionally and coordinated seamlessly, into an event! Thank you very much. read more

We were seated just a bit after our reservation time and were swiftly taken care of by our waiter and additional wait staff. Food came out timely and delicious. A special occasion went quickly south when the untalkative, unfriendly, seemingly terrified server who didn't check on us, didn't greet us with anything like "hi, how's it going? You're here for a birthday, great" or have any of the standard behavior of a server I am used to, began asking us if we needed boxes while we were finishing up instead of "it's your birthday, how about dessert?" It was the absolute worst service I've ever had in my life and the food was salty and subpar. We have been here twice. At night the restaurant is very busy and sitting at a two top very close to a family of four or more is not comfortable for me. But... we went in for brunch one day and had a fabulous experience. It was about 130 or so and no one was really in the restaurant portion. We had tried the mango champagnes for 5 bucks. First time ever tried the Big Bang Shrimp. NOW, I know why every one raves about it. So yummy, need the recipe to make for myself! We also shared the Crab Omelet with Au Gratin potatoes and it was so much food with toast and jam . I'm so glad we split it. Decently priced for brunch and definitely full of taste! Making it in time for the reservation was about the only thing that went right while dining at Bonefish Grill. I ordered a water, lemon, no ice. I got a water with lemon and ice. Ok, not the end of the world. For the starter, I ordered the bang bang shrimp and a Caesar salad. For some reason, two Caesar salads came out. One had to be sent back. Then, onto the main course. First they brought out one of two wrong sides for the entrees. The correct one was left and was eaten. My filet was brought out, without the melted cheese on top of the filet (as I had requested initially), and they brought out more incorrect sides. Once I brought it to the server's attention, she went to the back and just brought me out some unmelted cheese. I asked if she could please microwave it (or something) so I could just pour it onto the filet and enjoy my meal. Five minutes later, it arrived and I ate my filet. Overall, this was a terrible experience at BFG. The server couldn't do their job right, the kitchen was bringing out the wrong meals. The server still received her 20% tip, because sh*t happens, but I will not be going back there and will advise against it to anyone who asks for a recommendation. read more

Went here for a New Years Eve dinner and did not have a great experience. Our reservation was for 7:30pm and we arrived about 15 minutes early, to find a mob scene gathered by the front door. I mean it was crazy! We made it through and were able to snag some seats at the bar, (eventually). There was only one bartender working, even though the area was full and people were trying to order what they could. We managed to get our order in and even managed to get a drink. Our table was finally ready at 8:00pm. When we got to the table, everything calmed down and everyone was able to get a breath. Our waitress soon appeared and she get our drink order and our appetizers going. We asked for the Calamari, our friends ordered the Bang Bang shrimp and someone else requested the Potstickers. The Calamari was the best thing we had all night. The Shrimp was tasteless and the Potstickers were soggy. We then asked for the Grilled Salmon Superfood Salad and The Thermidor Gnocchi. Our friends got the The Angler's Sirloin Steak, the Saigon Noodles, The Cod Imperial with a side of Lobster Tail and the Crab-Crusted Cod, also with the Lobster Tail. We then waited a long time for our food. The waitress then came to the table to say the they were out of the Sirloin and could it be replaced with the Rib Eye, which was acceptable. The food arrived and the Beans included to the Steak were cold and hard, the Lobster Tails were inedible, (One was returned), the Sweet Potato included to the Salmon Salad was hard and chewy and the Gnocchi was just ok. When were we finished, we asked for the check and when it arrived, everything was incorrect. We wanted three checks and she added charges to mine that we incorrect. When she brought them back, after a long wait, they were still incorrect, but we went ahead and paid them, just so we could get out of there. I went there yesterday for dinner with my boyfriend. I originally wanted their fish and chips but ended up with Atlantic salmon with butter sauce and tomato garlic sauce.( on the side) my two sides were garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veggie which was spinach. we also got bang bang shrimp as an appetizer.
