The service was terrible. I waited at the hostess stand for 5 minutes or more without being acknowledged. Once seated I waited for the servers. Once she took my drink order I watched others seated after me place orders and receive their drinks while I still waited on my drink. The bread was cold and hard. My drinks not refilled. Just had a great experience at Bonefish Grill! Zack, our server, was excellent and attentive. We did an appetizer night with some orders of their delicious bang bang shrimp along with the sashimi tuna, calamari and cups of the corn chowder with lump crab! Everything was so good and they brought it out in stages so we weren't overwhelmed at once. The restaurant itself is decorated fancy but you can still wear casual clothing and receive signature service. It was OK, not as great as I remember. It has been years since we have gone to bonefish. I always found it to be a place for great seafood and it still has one of the best seafood menus in Columbus. However, I feel the food quality and preperations have decreased. The portion size of the crab cake appetizer was good, but the ratio of binder to crab was too high, and the crab cakes were falling apart and hard to eat. The walleye with crab topping was overcooked and with little seasoning. The "lump crab" was maybe 2 teaspoons of rice sized crab meat. The shrimp with scallops: the shrimp was over cooked, the geen bean side was undercooked and underseasoned. Like many chain restaurants it seems the overall quality has taken a hit. read more

Disappointed when my meal came out with the asparagus. I asked him to remove it from my plate and he brings it back with 6 pieces because it belonged on the fish. I don't know how more clear i needed to be when I asked him to remove it from my plate. I absolutely abhor the taste of asparagus and unfortunately my fish had a distinct flavor of asparagus on it. I've been here a few times, but not in a LONG time. A friend and I went. She got tomato bisque, steak with potatoes and the bourbon brownie. She loved EVERYTHING. I got the crab bisque, lobster tail with asparagus and general Tso brussel sprouts. For dessert I got the drunken coconut pie. I was disappointed with the crab bisque, it had too many peppers in it. I have NEVER had a crab bisque with bell peppers and that's what the bisque tasted like--peppers. Won't be getting that again. We went here on a Saturday around 1pm. The dining room was almost empty but spotless! Our server was polite, quiet, and friendly. I ordered this steak and shrimp combo with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, no butter. All were prepared just as ordered and the portions were a sane size. Not too much, not too little. Haven't been to this Bonefish location for awhile. We were seated round away ( had reservations). It took a bit of time for a server to come over to the table. Fortunately when she came over, I ordered two appetizers right away. She left again and eventually returned. Hubby and our stepdaughter ordered the meal for two. They each got a Caesar salad which was delicious. Salad was cold and so was the plate! Hubby got Lily Chicken and stepdaughter got the trout. They each ordered garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. For dessert, which they got to go, came with Key Lime cake. The bang bang shrimp was perfect and the calamari cooked perfectly as well. We came to Bonefish after receiving a gift card. This location is spacious and has a lot of tables in both the dining and bar areas. The beer selection was not very exciting, and they had no craft beers. We ordered the calamari, which arrived quickly but was very greasy and not very good. The caesar salads came out after the app was finished and they were ok. The trout and the mahi was adequate but disappointing. The whipped potatoes were excellent. The service was ok. Fantastic dining experience for tonight's dinner. Our host, a gentleman whose name I didn't get, was very pleasant and accommodating with our seating. Malia, our main server, and Sarah, our food and beverage server, were delightful and attentive without being intrusive. I came in for the first time ever to Bonefish Grill here in Dublin with my family and I'm the only one who doesn't like seafood. Bettina, our server was so kind and had us cracking up the whole time especially my grandpa who loves to joke around. She gave us excellent recommendations such as, the Bang Bang shrimp which was.. BANGIN'!. Since I gave into the app, I ordered the Rainbow trout to try because Bettina suggested it and Man oh Man this was BANGIN' too! First of all, if you're reading this in November, 2022, you may just want to stop reading right now, and get here before the Swordfish & Pumpkin Ravioli special is gone -- It was so good, and it paired with the New York Sour perfectly. The Mahi Mahi & Shrimp was perfect too. (Pictured with lemon butter and asparagus. A Caesar salad was substituted for the other side. It's not pictured, but it was a good side Caesar.) Also not pictured was an order of Bang Bang Shrimp. They are great, but there are plenty of pics of them here already. And there was pretty good bread with herb-infused oil served before the meal. i would like to be able to rate this at a 3.5. Service was slow. WE got our appetizer before our drinks. We had the bang bang artichoke dip. It was just okay. The wine selection isn't great so we ended up ordering cocktails. I ordered the coconut crush drink, yummy and my second drink was a Aperol spritz which the service had no idea what that was or how to order it in her system. We ordered our food, which did come out fairly quickly and was very good. I had the sea bass, yummy. We had to wait quite a while to get our check, then wait forever for her to pick up and finally check out. She seemed more interested in serving other tables, even though we were there, and she knew we were ready to go. We finally had to call her over. I was here awhile back with my husband, and we sat at the bar and the service was very slow there. So if you are not in a hurry, it is good food. But don't expect great service. read more

We used to love bonefish. Their quality has gone down. We just had dinner delivered. My large Cobb salad came in a side salad box. If you're looking for the center of a head of iceberg lettuce, it's in my trash. Uber Eats claimed that it didn't qualify for a refund or a re-deliver. So I called the store basically to tell them about the problem. No apology and incredibly rude. Fortunately there are plenty of amazing restaurants in columbus. We don't need to return. We dined here last night with a large group because most of us were closer. We eat out frequently and never complain. We empathize with service staff and appreciate their hard work. Having said that, we received the worst service ever. Now the sirloin shrimp and appetizers were exceptional. Abigail our waitress was emotionless and not very friendly. She seemed not to receive any training on waiting tables as she never cleared away our plates. The 2 employees that delivered our dinners struggled to pick up our plates and make room. At the end Abigail mixed up our credit cards. We felt sorry for the manager trying to fix her mistake. She didn't really apologize or accept responsibility. We were guessing if she was mentally challenged? She didn't appear so. Based on this experience we recommend you go to the Polaris location. We come for dinner every so often - a few times a year. We've always had great service and wonderful food. My husband got a free entree coupon in the mail so we went for an early (5:30) dinner on Saturday. We were seated in a bar booth and had a young server who was knowledgable and efficient. The best thing about Bonefish is daily happy hour (hello weekends). We had $5 cocktails/wine and $6 appetizers (calamari and shrimp toast). The complimentary bread and dipping oil is another perk. Then when the entrees arrive, you are bound to need a doggie bag. I always think I'll get grilled fish, but then get dazzled by the special preparations, aka Bonefish Favorites. I got a cheesy crab-stuffed cod that was so rich, I couldn't eat much, but it was a great lunch the next day. I chose mashed potatoes and broccoli as my sides. I've been to Bonefish before but this was my second time to the franchise. Our reservation was for 8pm on a Saturday. It wasn't all that busy. There were plenty of tables open. We were a party of 9. There was another big group with even more people at a longer table. I also saw families, high schoolers dressed for prom, and friends dining together. We had two waiters and none of them broke a sweat with all our orders. We had an order of calamari which was pretty good! I split one of the dinner deals with my mom. It was $55 for salad, fish, and shrimp to share. She got the house salad while I got Caesar. Not my favorite Caesar salad but it was decent. I tried the Cobia fish. Fantastic! I added a side of garlic mashed potatoes and spinach. The spinach was bitter. It's fresh but I needed it to be seasoned to remove the taste. My mom had salmon. She loved it! The shrimp they gave us to share was a lot! I shared with the whole table. I'd say the dinner deal was bang for your buck. You get a lot of food, including wine, if that's your thing. We've been meaning to try these guys out and finally decided to pop in for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the wait staff dress in chef's shirts. Very fancy! As is the theme in most restaurants right now, they were extremely short staffed. They had two waiters working the entire restaurant, but we didn't have to wait for an insanely long time. Our waiter was very polite and helpful even though he was obviously extremely busy. I ordered the mahi-mahi with veggies and mashed potatoes. It was so delicious!!! I couldn't decide on a dipping sauce so our wonderful waiter brought me one of each, and there were about eight. My hubby tried the fish and chips and it was fresh and well prepared. These guys are a little pricey, but the food is fresh, the atmosphere is lovely and we will definitely be going back the next time we want some fish! read more

It included the entree with sides, a salad and a dessert. The cost varies depends on what you select as your entree. Its anywhere between $16 - $22. I chose the middle amount and a lobster tail entree. It was delicious! The creme brûlée for dessert was the perfect amount of crispy on top of impeccably done cream!! There is a small up charge if you stray away from the two dessert options they offer on the Tuesday special. The last time I ate at Bonefish Grill was before I joined Yelp, so I'm guessing 2010 or 2011. That experience back then was totally fine, but the Columbus Fish Market was my favorite seafood restaurant back then. That and Bonefish Grill is not on OpenTable so getting a reservation at the Fish Market (and Red Lobster) required much less effort since those restaurants are on OpenTable. We'll now fast forward to January 2020. The Columbus Fish Market is now Mitchell's Fish Market and it's on a steep decline. And a discount offer for Bonefish Grill popped up on my Chase credit card. So we decided to give them a try again for dinner this past week. We had to call to make a reservation, but otherwise making a reservation was not a problem. We were promptly seated and orders were taken. I ordered the Lobster Imperial, which was one of the day's specials. My wife ordered their sirloin steak as a part of the Tuesday prix fix menu, and the kids got kids meals. We also got the bang bang shrimp for appetizer. The highlight of the meal was the flavor of the meals. They all tasted amazing! The price was also quite reasonable for a seafood restaurant in Ohio. Up to this point, we're looking at a 5-star review. The downsides to this restaurant however are the following-- they have absolutely no craft beers available (unless you count Sam Adams), and the presentation of the food (as you can see in my picture) leaves a lot to be desired.
