It's been a minute since we've been and we were so looking forward to it . We had the best steak ever, but that was years ago. This time, service was slow, and the food was not great. My husband ordered a Pepsi and was brought cherry Pepsi, then on our seafood tower we ordered 8 shrimp cocktail and were given only 7. My husband also got the twice baked potato but that also came out wrong and the server said she would take it off the bill, she did not. It was not good. The steak the reason we went... was a huge disappointment. We got the filet and the large ribeye. Stopped in at Mitchell's Ocean club for dinner with friends while we were in town. We were not disappointed. I started off with the Caesar salad, which was extremely flavorful. Everything was crisp and fresh and absolutely delicious. My wife Had the risotto with scallops. She could not say anything but wonderful about her plate. She said the risotto was the best she's ever had in the scallops were cooked to perfection not dry and rubbery but moist and firm. I had the blackened snapper. Which was seasoned to perfection. We always have a great dinning experience at Ocean Club in Easton. We have a Sunday reservation for 7p and arrived a little early, they sat us within 5 min. The service is great, the food was great and the restaurant was standing tall. We had the caviar deviled eggs and the Nigiri flight for an appetizer along with a French onion soup. This place is the real deal. Started with a smoked old fashioned that came out in the coolest decanter I've ever seen. The waiter went out of his way to get me the info on where they procured them from. Mine are on order! Daughter had the espressos martini that was also excellent. Situated on the second floor of the interior mall at Easton Town Center, Ocean Club is yet another Cameron Mitchell experience. This one is centered on fine seafood dining. I am particularly attracted to the presentation of sushi at this restaurant, but the other selections are equally enticing. I have posted a photo of a typical sushi offering. Likewise, I have posted photos of their menus for your review. Parking I think is a breeze at Easton, and have never had any difficulty finding a nearby space. Reservations are not always necessary, but I would recommend doing so whenever they are available as an option. Carefully curated and prepared by their amazing bar ambassadors - I enjoyed an espresso martini and skipped my usual classic old fashioned in favor of something a bit lighter, a cucumber gimlet. Our table of 4 skipped the bread basket (lovely, but the phrase 'don't fill up on the bread' absolutely applies here) and enjoyed 3 starters, 3 entrees, 1 side, and 2 desserts. Our starters were the ahi tuna, kalamari, and goat cheese ravioli. The ahi tuna is my favorite starter here and I've also had it as a main course, the portion is substantial. The kalamari is lightly spiced and fried - deliciously crisp. The goat cheese ravioli has a hint of truffle. For our entrees, we ordered 2 beef filet mignon, sea scallops (served with a parmesan risotto and vegetables) and 1 order of gouda tater tots. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the scallops perfectly seared. The tater tots are a collective favorite side dish for all of us and the only 'must have' side dish in the menu. Hand-made, upscale little potato croquettes with just enough cheese to take them over the top. Desserts were creme Brule and butter cake, both very vanilla-forward and just different enough (cold and smooth vs. Warm and fluffy) to be interesting. The service here is as consistently good as the food. The restaurant has great ambiance, reminding me of the fancy supper club steakhouses my parents would take my brother and I on our birthdays. There is significant seating and I must admit every area has a different perk - my favorite is catching a view of the kitchen and watching the magic happen... not a bad seat in the house! We came here for my sisters birthday. There were six of us. 4 of us ordered the Sea Bass and we were disappointed. They have changed the preparation. The sauce was different . The fish was on broccolini and the mashed potatoes were so thin you could say they were painted on. This is not what we expected. It made the dish average .We had to pay for bread that used to be complimentary. My cousin got the chopped salad and said it was warm. And the chicken she ordered to accompany it was not seasoned or tasty . It was bland. The service was good . The ambiance was usual but we all left saying we were not happy with the fish. I love Ocean Club. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always top-notch. My only criticism isn't necessarily the restaurant itself, but more the overall dining atmosphere. At a higher-end restaurant, I wish there were a bit more consistency in the ambiance. On some visits, guests are dressed very casually (too casually) and there have been occasions where young children were screaming or causing disruptions throughout the meal. I also think the tables are spaced a little too closely together, which can make those situations more noticeable. Overall, it's still one of my favorite restaurants, but I think a slightly more refined dining environment would make the experience even better. read more

Our son turned 27 and we decided to celebrate at the Ocean Club. The Ocean Club is located on the second floor in Easton's main building directly across the street from Brio. Parking is super easy. You can find a spot on the street outside or you can park in their covered garage. It's free and just a short walk As far as the dining room :They have a large candle lit/dim lit dining room which is really beautiful and comfortable. We were supposed to have a table inside there, but one of our group members was not able to come, which changed our reservation location to their screened, winterized balcony. Both are nice experiences as the outside one you get to see the sunset but the inside one is just more intimate and special. I always prefer the inside versus outside. Even with the beautiful sunset, I still would've preferred to be inside. Our reservation was for 530 and we left at nine. Never did we feel rushed We started out with cocktails then had some appetizers. (sushi, tuna, tartare, and a dozen oysters on the half shell.) followed by more cocktails, complementary sourdough bread/pretzel sticks and then we finally got around to ordering dinner. For dinner, we ordered the following entrées: Ahi tuna, pork chop, teriyaki, salmon, and the grouper over lobster gnocchi Since we were all family we all tasted each other's entrées ( of course we did). Each entrée was excellent truly excellent, but we each decided the winner of the night was the pork chop... Which is odd because it's a seafood restaurant. It was so perfectly cooked moist, flavorful and served in this crazy amazing sauce that left you just wanting more. For dessert, our birthday boy was given a complementary dessert of his choice... He chose the butter cake and loved every bite We really enjoyed our night there I would like to add: our server was excellent. Truly. I visited Ocean with a friend for happy hour and had a great time! I loved the views from the balcony, but the happy hour menu is only served at the bar so we moved inside. The popcorn has some kind of seasoning on it that's really tasty. I got a glass of pinot along with their cheeseburger and fries for my meal. Everything was lovely. The entire restaurant is beautiful. There are private party dining areas, a great big bar, and a very elegant dining room. There are TVs at the bar to enjoy the games. Our server was wonderful. He acknowledged the birthday we were celebrating and made us feel welcome right off the bat. He answered lol our questions and made very helpful suggestions. He also did not rush us and let us dine at our own pace thru cocktails, appetizers, and the main course. We had very good cocktails. My favorite was the Spicy Dirty Martini. Came here for my birthday and the staff definitely made it special! We decided to sit outside which was a good vibe on a summer evening. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We started off with the goat cheese ravioli it reminded me of a dumpling more than a ravioli but it was flavorful. For entrees I got the Ahi Tuna which the tune itself was good but I didn't really care for the salad dressing on the greens so I don't really eat that. My husband got the lobster linguine which he loved! We got 2 half sides one broccoli and I really like the seasoning on those and the other was the potatoes au gratin which was good as well! This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Columbus for special occasions or a nicer happy hour. I have eaten at many steak houses all over the world and the food and service here is unmatched. I don't know how they put the flavors together but anything you order is the best version of it you will ever have. The calamari is our most favorite, any of the steaks are phenomenal but the best item on the meal is the Chilean seabass. This fish is so delicious and you will never have a fish prepared better than this. The butter cake is also one of those items you truly cannot get anywhere else. The service was incredibly slow, and we had to repeatedly ask our waitress for what we needed. To make matters worse, there was hair everywhere--in the butter with the bread, on the tater tots, on the table, and even in the menu. I ordered a filet mignon, but half of it was extremely fatty. The truffle macaroni and cheese was a complete disappointment; there was no trace of truffle flavor. To top it off, my butter cake for dessert was undercooked and raw in the middle. A standout was the surf and turf, some of the best gnocchi I have had. For our main course we ordered the filet mignon with Parmesan fries and the special sea bass of the day. It's Mother's Day Weekend and wanted to celebrate a great meal and what better way to do that than by treating my wife, mom, and mother-in-law to Mitchell's Ocean Club Booked reservations weeks in advance due to the holiday and glad I did. The place was packed and lively which added to the vibe. We were seated pretty much as soon as we arrived, due to the reservations Once seated we were offered bread and drinks orders. Opted to go with the Smoked Old Fashioned with an Angel's Envy Rye and it did not miss, so much my wife and I ordered two rounds Once drinks were ordered we had the Point Judas Calamari which was zesty due to the sweet chili sauce on top of it, but the slaw mix made this an easy appetizer to kick things off. No less than 25ish minutes later our meals all arrived and let me tell you the food across the board was a homerun! I opted for the Chilean Seabass with an additional 4oz Wagyu Steak on the side that allowed me to build my own surf-n-turf! Those protein mixed with, broccolini and a potato puree were the perfect balance for any foodie! My wife had the Sea Scallops with Parmesan risotto, English peas and a citrus vinaigrette that she just raved about because of the well balanced flavors My mom had an off menu Ginger Salmon which is from the old menu, IYKYK, not like the new salmon, but based on what she says, it's the best salmon she ever had My mother-in-law went with Blackened Snapper with a tender inside and crisp skin outside. The pairing of corn spoon bread, Swiss chard, and corn emulsion created quite the melody for any pallet While each dish had sides, we couldn't pass up on the jalapeno au gratin potatoes or the black truffle mac-n-cheese which we had no issue devouring After our meals, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to enjoy some creme brulee with caramelized sugar with blueberry and strawberry toppings. After such a large meal as this, you have to top it off with a smooth French Espresso shot sipping it with the pinky in the air!! We used to enjoy The Ocean Club, however the last few times we been, it has been terrible. We went last night May 8th 2026 for my mother's day meal. They changed the lobster Mac and cheese, it is very dry and tasteless, I only ate a few bites. The ribeye steak had no flavor, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant from a box. The complete meal was thoroughly awful. We will not be back. Mgr did remove the Mac and cheese from our bill. read more
