Mastro's is beautifully decorated inside with friendly staff. We had a reservation at this place and soon as we arrived we were seated right away. This place was packed when we arrived. Went to celebrate my birthday, and because my husband stated when making the reservation that it was my birthday, they printed out the menu with "Happy Birthday Antora" on the top. And that made my night! We ordered Lobster Mashed Potatoes and shrimp cocktails for appetizers and for entrée we ordered the Sea Bass and the Branzino. Everything tasted great. Our server was very sweet and friendly. Eventhoug the place was super busy; our server came and checked up on us several times.

Oh, Mastros... When Mastros came to Columbus, I knew that it was going to be our next anniversary spot! Well, it was - however, it did not live up to the hype! We had a reservation last night (6:30 PM on a Friday). We were seated immediately. Our waitress (Ashlynn) was wonderful! She greeted us by congratulating us on our anniversary and asking what the secret to 8 years was. It was sweet! For drinks, I had a nice pour of Argyle Pinot Noir ($23) and my husband had a couple of Stellas ($8/each). For apps, we went with a bread basket ($5) and two Caesar salads ($16/each). The bread basket was nice - this was an assortment of fresh breads that were served with soft butter. The Caesar salads were good (large portion, crispy Romaine, and every piece was coated with dressing); however, the dressing was a little overpowering with anchovy paste/sauce. Trust me, I love a good Caesar salad that has anchovy paste/sauce in it, but this was a little too much! I also thought that the croutons were a bit too crunchy so I ended up leaving those on my plate. For our entrees, I ordered the sautéed sea scallops ($60), my husband ordered the 22 oz bone-in ribeye ($91), and then we shared the garlic mashed potatoes ($16) and sautéed corn ($16). Let's start with the sautéed sea scallops. The scallops were my least fave and super salty! They were also topped with Parmesan cheese which made them even more salty. I ate one and a half and was done! I also cannot get over serving FIVE scallops for $60 and then serving them with five large pieces of garlic bread to fill the plate (see my pic). Like why? Meanwhile, the ribeye was absolutely delish! It was lightly charred, perfectly pink, seasoned well, and super juicy! We loved it! The garlic mashed potatoes were good - they were creamy and had good flavor. The sautéed corn was not sautéed nor seasoned - it was like they dumped a can of corn in the bowl, stirred some butter in it, and then served it - we were not impressed For dessert, we were served with a large piece of chocolate layered cake and a side of their house-made whipped cream! They were both SO good! With my food review aside, the service was absolutely exceptional! I loved the white jackets that all of the servers wore - it was as if they were wearing white to provide white gloved service (and they all did)! We also loved Armando! He consistently cleared our plates, silverware, and cleaned our table whenever he had a chance. At one point, we walked away from the table to take a photo in the entryway and came back to a clean table and our napkins refolded. There was also a live pianist/singer behind us whom I enjoyed as well. I thought that he had a soothing voice! Overall, the service (and steak) was 5 star; however, when you add in everything else - I am giving Mastros a 3 star rating.

Birthday Dinner on Jan 31.

Great experience! First time at this location, very crowded but excellent service and food. The butter cake is ....shut up! AMAZING. Ate it so fast forgot to take pic.

Our server Brian made our Christmas dinner very warm and inviting. His service was top notch, from drink recommendations to making sure we knew all of the amazing menu options. The food came out fresh and flavorful. It's a very upscale restaurant and dress code is enforced but a suit jacket isn't required.

Mastro's is a new-ish steakhouse in Easton, and we had the opportunity to dine there recently. While the interior is decorated beautifully, a couple of things stood out to me. First, the tables in the main dining area are too close to each other, making for a louder-than-you-like noise level (especially for a restaurant on the high end). Second, while the west-facing window is nice and wide, the sun setting during dinner hour is blinding. That said, the food and drinks were delicious. Everything is a la carte, so we ordered a few different side dishes to complement our main entrees. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes side was our favorite - it is so rich and filling that it is easily shareable. While we also enjoyed our Filet and the Sea Bass, we felt the Branzino was a little underwhelming in the flavor department. Our server was friendly and helpful, and while service was slow (through no fault of his - the place was busy), he was very patient with explaining the menu to us. They are relatively new and still working out their kinks, so I look forward to visiting Mastro's again the future once things settle down a bit more.

Half of a bone in ribeye

I was excited to try this location out. We walked in around 5:30pm on a Saturday and were lucky to be able to be sat right away at a bar top table (we didn't have a reservation). Not a huge fan of the layout of the restaurant, I didn't feel like it was anything special. The tables are set up in a sort of big, L shape, with the bar and the bar seating in the middle... or bottom corner of the L. We were two tables away from the piano, and I was worried it was going to be loud, but when the guy started playing, it was actually pretty nice. His voice was soft and smooth, and added a nice ambiance to the restaurant. Our waitress was great! She was attentive and I never felt like I need to wait for anything. We really liked the brown bread and she came back with an entire basket of it. Now the food, I expected to be dazzled by the food, but was left kind of disappointed. Everything was fine, nothing was incredible. My friend and I split a bone in ribeye, we asked for it to be carved (pre-sliced), but it came out just cut into two halves, as you can see from the photo. It was plenty, and we both took some home. The leftovers were not great, I usually love leftover ribeye... We also got the garlic mashed potatoes. They were good, nothing memorable. The roasted cauliflower was ok, it has a kick to it. The truffled wild mushrooms were very very salty, I didn't taste much truffle. We also got the bread service and it was ok. The brown bread was our favorite. We ordered chilled shots of Lalo tequila (they didn't have Don Julio blanco) with a Coke back... and were brought two lukewarm mini bottles of Coke. All in all, the food was fine. But nothing amazing. Service was great tho!

Let's start with the good: the ambiance and decor are enough to make you want to stay. It's definitely got that sleek vibe that works well for a pregame stop or a girls' night out. Now, onto the food. It was just okay. The Rockefeller oysters were the highlight -- small, yes, especially for $30, but flavorful enough to steal the show. I had the halibut, cooked to the chef's preference, and unfortunately, it came out overcooked and heavily seasoned. Not ideal. The lobster mac and cheese? Well-seasoned, but it lacked cheesiness and had barely any lobster throughout. At this price point $45, I expected more. I let the server know about the fish, and while they did comp us a cheesecake, I honestly would've preferred the dish taken off the check. I didn't press the issue, but still -- service and quality should go hand-in-hand at this tier of pricing. Final bill? $345. The result? Just okay. Everyone's experience is different, so go get yours -- but personally, I expected better from a steakhouse at this level.

This evening, I had a dinner reservation at 4:00 PM at Mastro's Steakhouse, where I was graciously greeted by Walter Carpenter, the former owner of The Royce. Upon entering, Mastro's was truly lovely; a stunning wine display graced both sides of the entryway, leading to the hostess stand. Ample seating was available at the bar. Mastro's is a high-end steakhouse, and the menu reflected this. As I wasn't very hungry, I ordered an appetizer and a side dish, which proved to be more than enough for one person, perhaps even two meals. I politely declined the $5 bread service. The service was impeccable, precisely as anticipated, and Ginger provided exceptional attention. My bill included: Large Acqua Panna® water ($10), Wagyu meatballs with melted burrata cheese ($29), white cheddar mac and cheese ($16), and an $16 gratuity.

Mastro's has a grand entrance that makes you feel good walking in, the ambiance is beautiful and elegant with artistic flair. We were introduced to two spectacular people at our table, Bradley & Charity. These two were extremely professional, polite and on point. The table assistants were very professional as well, quick to clean and refresh drinks The food was delicious , a suggestion from Bradley hit the palette perfectly. I was celebrating my 30 years on the job and retirement, for dessert Bradley and Charity surprised us with a magical dessert that had other tables looking. I included a previous review and I wanted to say thank you to the manager for protecting the customers, NO ONE WANTS TO SMELL A SKUNK WEED SMELL WHILE EATING DINNER!!! Having a manager that takes pride in fine dining and protects the customers means a lot.

5 star food, service and the restaurant is gorgeous. We went for a group dinner and it was perfection. From the sea food towers to the perfectly prepared steaks we could not have been happier. The service is next level. They are the new "big dog" in town for sure, it's the place to be and be seen. Grabbed a few quick pics but was to busy enjoying great company, wine and food

We came to Mastro's in a Friday night to celebrate a special occasion and we had a great time. The space is beautiful! I was very impressed and now understand why it took so long to open lol. They had live music throughout the night in the bar and I will admit, I'm not a live music fan, but I reslly enjoyed the artist they had! He played crowd favorite acoustic songs such as Viva La vida by Coldplay and Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers. The whole restaurant was enjoying it and it really made the ambiance happy, major kudos to the manager for this decision. Our waitress was so kind and helpful, I wish I knew her name. I only know she got married recently and her husband is from LA, so if someone reads this, please give her a shoutout! We started with the bread basket which isn't complimentary, but it should be with the prices on everything else. It was just $5 but still. It was delicious though and had an assortment of breads, similar to the basket at capital grill. I had the spicy mambo salad, which is a Caesar dressing with horseradish and blue cheese added. I'm not a blue cheese fan at all, so I was hesitant and to help, our waitress brought out the dressing for me to try. Very sweet of her. Surprisingly I didn't taste the blue cheese as it was blended in. I opted for parm on top instead of blue cheese too. It was spicy! That horseradish hits the back of your nose and mouth but nevertheless was good and something different. My boyfriend ordered the Italian chopped which he enjoyed but he didn't care for the olives in the salad. Nothing on the menu has descriptions so he wasn't aware. He was able to pick them out so it was no big deal. I had the 16oz NY strip and he had the Kansas City strip. Both were absolutely delectable and cooked perfectly. The plates come out HOT. Normally I think "oh yeah but I can still touch it with my fingers of steel" but NO. The plates are 400 degrees hot, literally. The steak was still sizzling for a solid 10 minutes after it was dropped off. I thought that was something unique and fun. We ordered the broccolini, mac and cheese, and a side of fries. They have a normal order of fries, but the sizes are gigantic, so our waitress let me know I could get a smaller side which was even still huge. The fries were good but nothing special, I'd probably skip next time. They kinda tasted like fries every restaurant uses. The Mac and cheese was gooey and cheesy. The portion was also huge. The broccolini was seasoned well and tender. Very good. We were so stuffed by the end but they let us know we could have a complimentary dessert for our occasion and would box it up. When I got home, I opened it to find a piece of chocolate cake and a separate box of SO much homemade whipped cream. At least 3 cups worth. It was yummy. Overall, our food, the service, and ambiance were excellent. We had the manager check in on us multiple times and even walked us out after. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to people looking for a very nice dinner.

Catered for my birthday, such a nice detail
Tim L.

We came here to celebrate a birthday and it was a memorable experience, starting with a personalized menu wishing Tim a Happy Birthday, the food, service and ambiance were all excellent, but what made this dinner great was the company I sharred it with, memories for a lifetime and a great Birthday experience. The butter cake is a must must, even if only one spoon, has to be tried, trust me!

service was great. partly because every employee that works there was working on valentine's day. i think the waiters only had 2 tables and they also had a helper. food is great. service is great. to my own fault my bill was astronomical. i did get the kobe beef and crab legs so that was a small car payment right there. however the food is really , really good. the star of the menu though is the gnocchi. prob one of the best dishes i've had at any restaurant

Inside from our seat this booth was a great seat

We were greeted by our server, Angel, who was friendly with just the right amount of sarcasm -- quick-witted and fun, never over the line. It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was definitely filling up, but the atmosphere stayed relaxed. The space itself is dimly lit, nicely decorated, and has a bit of an upscale feel without being stuffy. The menu offers a solid variety, from appetizers and salads to burgers, poultry, seafood, and steaks. Instead of bread, they start you off with house-made pickles, which I personally loved -- as a pickle fan, I didn't miss the bread at all. For my meal, I went with the 1977 Burger, ordered medium rare, topped with sautéed mushrooms, a fried egg, Havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. At Ted's you can choose beef or bison, and I went with the bison. I also added a side of horseradish mayo, which really took the burger up a notch. The burger comes with fresh-cut fries or a side, and they offer a half fries, half onion rings option -- an easy choice for me. My wife went a bit more upscale with a filet, cooked medium well, and chose asparagus and Parmesan broccoli for her sides. She brought a cake to celebrate both birthdays, so we skipped dessert, but Angel surprised us with a couple of complimentary bowls of ice cream to go with the cake, which was a really nice touch. The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars is because my wife's steak initially came out undercooked and her sides were cold. That said, once it was sent back, everything came out hot, cooked correctly, and she really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a very good dining experience with great service and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend Ted's Montana Grill for a nice night out and would happily return.

This one didn't offer one, which was a general disappointment (and offering to be might benefit them-- the place was dead for most of the two hours we were there). The space is beautiful and luxurious: a lovely fountain is in the center and signature chandeliers fill the dining area. I was a little disappointed that the choices of seating were were given -- though the place was empty-- was either a very small table (so small our servers apologized for having to awkwardly stack things as dishes came out) or a table attached to the only other large party dining there. Felt like a very strange choice. Also, while the place is very upscale and very expensive, that vibe was somewhat at odds with other diners who did arrive in what literally looked like old pajama pants and workout gear. The food was all good, but portions are very small for the big prices: entrees are all in the $50 range, sandwiches in the $30 range. A "petite" baked potato (which is petite indeed) was $14; burrata was $26. It was fine, but you can have a true consistently upscale experience elsewhere for those kinds of prices. I'd come back -- if there was a happy hour!

We visited yesterday around 3 PM after seeing the new Mario movie. We didn't have a reservation, but seating wasn't an issue at that time. As always, the restaurant was clean, lively, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, and our waitress was attentive throughout our visit. We ordered many of our usual favorites, but my entrée--the braised short rib--was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect. While the meat itself was still tender, moist, and flavorful, the risotto was disappointing. It lacked its usual creamy texture and was noticeably too thick. Additionally, the dish was served with only carrots as the root vegetable, whereas in the past it has included a variety of vegetables that really elevated the overall flavor and presentation. I was especially disappointed because this was actually the first time I remembered to take a photo of my meal before digging in. I came in fully intending to finally leave a glowing five-star review based on all of our previous great experiences--but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. This was surprising, especially given how consistently great this dish--and the restaurant overall--has been during our previous visits. We've dined here at least five times this year and even celebrated our son's third birthday here, so this experience felt out of character. One difference worth noting is that we typically visit for dinner, and this was our first time coming during the afternoon. It's possible there may be differences in the kitchen or service during that time. We do plan to return, as we're hoping this was just an off day. This place has earned a lot of goodwill from us over time, but we wanted to share this experience in case it's helpful for others.

Started with mimosas/No-mosa's - very good and such a reasonable price of $5! That was a treat! They had complimentary pretzel bread and butter for the table. We ordered the APPLEWOOD SMOKED BACON PIZZA, CANDIED BACON BLT, and the EGGS ANY WAY. My friends enjoyed both the pizza and BLT and said they would order again. Eggs any way feels misleading as I ordered scrambled egg whites and they came back and said they don't have egg whites and if normal eggs that have milk mixed in are okay instead. I am confused if they can make fried eggs why they can't separate the yolks for egg whites? For a restaurant at this price point and prestige, I was disappointed and will defer me from going there for brunch in the future. The potatoes had a sauce on them that felt heavy and was unexpected - I wouldn't order them again (my friends who also had them with the bacon BLT said the same and in the future would ask for a different side) and the oven veggies were a bit saucy and tangy. But it kind of put a damper on the meal. This is not a cheap place. Expectations are high. They were busy. Totally understand. However to serve cold food is not cool at all. Like I said I ate my potstickers. They were delicious. Could have been a hotter temperature for sure. But it is what it is. Will I go back? Yes. Definitely with the hope of better.
