Shrimp Scampi

I came to Carrabba's during my time in Columbus because simply im obsessed with their restaurants. I have loved them for years, being my favorite Italian chain restaurant. The food and service are always great at a Carrabba's! This place is no exception! Enjoyed my spicy lentil soup, the shrimp scampi app, and of course my main course... it was a limited menu tomahawk chop...'omg so good!!!! Loved my time here but had a long drive to make back home... this gave me the strength to do it!

I had an appetizer of calamari. They tasted like they were frozen and then cooked a bit too long. Or maybe they had been frozen too long. Not sure but they were kind of hard. The sauce was good - marinara and a spicy cream sauce. Though I think they would be better to eliminate the creamy texture from the sauce and just make a hot and sweet sauce. I also had a side house salad with creamy parm dressing. It was unremarkable. And the mozzarella sticks are good - large plants of cheese breaded and fried. They taste homemade. Not greasy at all. The pomegranate martini was definitely the star. A bit sweet, a touch tart and lovely fruit taste. Service was ok. We had to ask a couple times for drink refills. The ambiance is more upscale chain. Nothing fancy but it's nice.

Bread. This came with my meal! Used bread! GROSS!

Seriously, it looks like you took left over bread frome a diner and sent it to me with my meal! How nasty!

This is one of our anniversary celebration places. It's always consistently awesome. The servers are awesome. The food is awesome. We always get the same thing because it's our favorite and we can't get it just anywhere. I always get the Veal Marsala. Omg it's amazing. So tender. So flavorful. Ugh. So delish. My husband always gets the Pollo Rosa Maria. He loves it. Always so tender and flavorful as well. And the bread. And the herb dipping oil. SO. GOOD.

Chicken Piccata with Fettuccine Alfredo

This location is MUCH better than the one at Polaris in pretty much every way. On my most recent visit I had great service and the food was also excellent. One thing I would highly suggest they do is gut out their booths and add new ones. My party requested a booth and quickly had to move to a table because the booths are only big enough for kids to sit in them. During the course of my meal I saw 4 other parties who were sat at booths ask to move to tables. On to the food. I got the chicken piccata with fettuccine alfredo and I must say it was exceptionally good today. Great lemon flavor on the chicken and super cheesy alfredo sauce. Only things that were meh today were the chicken soup that came with my meal (barely any chicken or noodles) and the coke was a bit flat. But neither one was atrocious.

The new happy hour special is awesome. A friend and I sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by the awesome bartender. He explained all of the offerings of the new menu and told us his takes on what he thought was good according to what our likes are. My friend and I got a few things off the happy hour menu to share and they were all fresh and delicious. To no fault of the restaurant, we went on carb overload and quickly got stuffed due to us also getting drinks. The drinks were tasty but not that strong which is not unexpected for a chain restaurant and on top of that it was discounted for happy hour. This deal is great for those of you looking to get some good bites on a budget.

I really enjoyed my salad. The only downside was the loud music, which made it hard to talk.

I had the pleasure of being in Ohio last night, well for this week, we're in town for my son's…read moregraduation. My son and his wife took us to a an amazing place they stumbled into what may very well be the culinary pride of Columbus: La Tavola, a family-owned, family-run Italian restaurant that feels like someone teleported you straight into Nonna's kitchen... but with better lighting and no guilt about not calling enough. If you love yourself a great, unapologetically stinky pizza and I'm talking Parmigiano-Reggiano and ricotta levels of heavenly funk then this is your place. This pizza didn't just have cheese; it was knee-deep in cheese. Handmade, hand-rolled, and clearly crafted by people who know their way around a dairy situation. The appetizers? Fantastic. The waitstaff? Friendly, attentive, and exactly the kind of people you'd hope are handing you carbs by the plateful. But then, the main dishes arrived. I ordered seared scallops over a bed of handmade buttery fettuccine with capers, and I swear I heard an angel sing. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the pasta was the kind that ruins you for boxed pasta forever, and the whole thing tasted like someone's Italian grandmother blessed the plate personally. If I could say "WAY TO GO!" in Italian, I absolutely would but instead I'll say this: If you're ever in Columbus, go to La Tavola. Go hungry. Go ready to eat like you're visiting family. And go prepared to fall a little bit in love with this place. Family-owned, warm, cozy, and outrageously delicious. Highly recommend.

We had the he prosciutto board - I didn't really think about prosciutto varieties! Pretty big even for 2. I had a special - confit duck keg over polenta. Savory m, rich, delicious. My friend had the pasta burro, described as the original Alfredo. It was very nice - but he chicken breading was light and crisp. Overall a very good experience.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive and checked on us often throughout the meal. The bread with olive oil was a fantastic start. We ordered arancini to share with a couple glasses of wine. The arancini was just okay. Marinara on the side was also a bit basic. They gave us complimentary focaccia. Excellent! Would've been better warm but still was nice to dip in the oil. For entrees, I got the bucatini and clams, my friends got the goat cheese ravioli and the cacio e Pepe. My friends didn't care much for their food but I really loved the bucatini and clams! Beautifully presented and they give you a dish for the empty shells. We also shared tiramisu. Prob one of the best things to get here! Service was good. They were attentive despite how busy it was. I'd prob come back for the pizza or to sit at the bar. It's definitely a really nice place to hang out.

Drinks - my husband had a CBC IPA and I had a Spritzer. Appetizer - we went with the whipped ricotta. This was absolutely delish! The whipped ricotta was creamy, smooth, had a lemony flavor with celery leaves and parsley. Seriously, all of the flavors blended so well together! It was also topped with black truffle and honey (from a local vendor)! The sourdough bread that the whipped ricotta was served with was super fresh and warm (and from a local vendor as well)! Salad - we ordered a Caesar salad as well. I thought that it was super nice that they plated the salad on two plates for us knowing that we were splitting it! Super thoughtful! The romaine was crispy (not soggy), the croutons were freshly made, the dressing had the anchovy flavor that I appreciate in a good Caesar dressing, and the salad was topped with a little lemon zest! I will definitely return just for the Caesar salad! Meals - I went with the Rigatoni and my husband went with the Lasagna. We were informed by our server that the flour used for the pasta is imported from Italy and that the pasta is made fresh daily - LOVE this! The rigatoni was SO good! I love that the pasta and shrimp were all cut into smaller bites! The sauce was absolutely delicious! The flavor was like a mix between a thick tomato bisque and curry! Yum! My husband really enjoyed the lasagna as well! The lasagna was plated into little roll-ups which my husband really liked! Will definitely be back soon - we want to check out the patio once we have warmer weather too!

Approximately $45.00. Last night I went and must say - very surprised at what I paid; glass of red $14, ceaser salad $16, added a side of chicken $15.0!!! Thqt surprised me - thats 3 chicken breast at the store lol Each time I have sat at the bar - both inside and out (even in winter). Great ambiance. I love the bar inside - gives an upscale 50s diner with great design and mood. The outdoor bar in winter is very nice and warm - haven't had trouble grabbing a seat at either. Bartenders are nice, very attentive and knowledgeable. Parking is easy, there is valet offered. Overall - a bit over priced for generally good food, but a pleasant night out for date night or girls night out.
