I love this Hotpot! its the perfect quantity for lunch and the broth is simply delicious. Unlike the other hotpots, the veggies and meat is already added to the broth before it comes to the table. The quantity is smaller than little sheep but perfect for 1 person. They give you an option to choose between vermicelli or rice. You can choose the spiciness of your broth. You also get on cold tea with the lunch menu. This place looks extremely bus for Friday lunch or weekend lunch/dinners. Be ready to go early or wait in line. Plenty of parking around in the complex. This location gets 5 stars because I never have to wait in line, and the service is great. I come here way too much and so do my friends. The first time you come here it just seems like overpriced hot pot. The second time you think the flavors are pretty good. By the third time, you realize that this is the comfort Chinese food you've always been looking for. Their entrees come in a personal pot with a pre-set list ingredients and broth that you're bound to find the right one when you've come enough times. They have a lot of variety ranging from beef and pork to seafood to organs to mushrooms to cabbage. Overall the flavors are very authentic for Chinese cuisine, which is what brings me back. My personal favorite is the House Special which has stinky tofu, pig intestines, and Napa cabbage. The Beef pot is great too. The first time I came here I ordered the seafood and tofu hotpot- and I wasn't that impressed. But the next time after that I ordered the Korean hot pot and it was so good! I loved that it has ramen noodles in it, lots of vegetables and fish balls... and so much spiciness in the broth! I also love the boba milk tea to go with my hot pot. The only problem I have with this place is that the wait times are ridiculously long!! The soup bowl is placed on a warmer to keep the soup hot while you eat it and you can always ask for it to be turned off if you feel that the soup is too hot. The soup also comes with a bowl of rice because you cant eat asian food without rice! I thought that the udon soup was good but not amazing. It's not as good as I have had before. Came for a dinner last winter before Covid, have not been since. The food was good, comparable to other Boiling Point restaurants. The service was good, the food was good, and the parking was easy. Individual hot pots are nice to have and are big. They refill the broth if it is running low. You can get the leftovers to go but it doesn't taste as good as when it's fresh (obviously). So glad for a hot pot place that does personal hot pots! My family and I always have different tastes -- my mom and I are more adventurous and my dad likes more plain foods. My coworkers and I have gone here a few times and tried almost everything on the menu. Appetizers: Fermented tofu - smells really strong, but is actually quite tasty. I'm not sure I would order this again as all the clothes I was wearing smelled like it after. However, it is very unique and I have a feeling I'm going to crave it again eventually. Tofu with kimchi - I really liked the softness of the tofu with the crunch kimchi. Would definitely want again. Garlic pork belly - I like that this was not too oily and had a good balance of meat and fattiness. Main soups: Thai - lots of lemongrass flavor. Not my favorite but my coworker really loved it Taiwanese - I love this but it was so spicy. I couldn't stop eating it though. It's great because the waitress offered to mix it with some plain soup so that it wasn't so spicy. Lamb - this is my favorite. The lamb is so good and it has a really great mix of tofu and vegetable. I went here for lunch with my co-workers, and they had warned me that it could be very busy. Fortunately, there was no wait, and we were promptly seated. Our server was very friendly, and the food didn't take too long to come out. I didn't expect cold green/black tea, but it came out in plastic cups with the plastic on top, like you'd get in bubble tea. I got green tea, and it tasted so good! When our soup came out, I was a little overwhelmed with how much food was in front of me. My heat tolerance is very low, so I asked the server to put out the fire pretty quickly into my meal. One of my co-workers asked him to put it out, but later requested more broth and a new flame. The server was super accommodating and fast. I usually don't order dessert, but I was encouraged to try the macaron ice cream. I ordered strawberry, and it too was very good. Boiling point is definitely overhyped. So many of my friends enjoy it though and if I'm REALLY in the mood, I kind of like it too. There's just something about yummy soup on a cold day in Washington! This new location is also small, but it is decorated nicely inside and kept clean. It wasn't busy when we went for lunch and there was no wait (this is rare for bp). I like coming here for lunch because the soup comes with rice and a free green tea or black tea drink. It is a little sweet in my opinion, so you can ask to make it less sweet. The only soup I will order here is the kimchi soup, but main meat it comes with is pork. I'm really disappointed on how I can't substitute it out with anything else or even extra veggies. I mean, it doesn't even cost them anything extra for more veggies instead of meat, does it? If I want anything else substituted out it has to be charged as an extra side dish. However, there's a variety of side dish options so you can pretty creative. The soup itself comes with a lot in it already and you can ask them to add more water as you're eating and turn off the flame whenever. The macaron ice creams were super disappointing because they look so perfect, but they didn't taste anything like I thought they would. We ate inside the restaurant in Redmond, WA on May 24th, 2024, me and my son for early dinner, around 6 pm. The first server was okay when he took our order, even though not sure about the difference between milk teas. The other server, looked like or acting like a shift manager, was rude and arrogant. When my son called to ask for more soup for his dish just because it was dried out, no-one come until I have to call the 3rd time. The restaurant seems not as hectic as we used to eat here; when he finally came, he filled my plate but about to leave empty on my son's dish, and I called him back to fill it and he said "speak up!" to my 18 yrs old son that anybody near us could hear. Also, this same guy/"server" put away my bill when I want to pay on the cashier table, rudely just because he wanted to typed out somebody else bill without telling "excuse me" or say something! Not just use his hand to push away my bill. Here is the thing: if he thought that by working at "that" restaurant can make a good living for him or even if he owns that restaurant, it does not mean that we are as customer living below him! (not to mentioned - I work at one of the tech company that pays "okay"). Customer is a client, if he could not work as a server, then do not work as a server at the restaurant! So here are my tips to enjoy this place if you're not a regular: - Waiting to be seated during peak hours will test your patience. - If you have a weak stomach from some of the "authentic" flavors, stick to these items: Miso, Seafood, Vegetable, or Kimchi. I find these the most refreshing and palatable with the most widely acceptable taste range. - Get a milk tea. It'll help with the heat/spice going down. - Try to avoid the water they serve. This time of the visit, I had some pretty strange interactions with the servers. It seemed like every request I asked they seemed to not want to do it and did not want to help me. I ordered sweet milk tea boba and asked for no sugar but I tasted the drink and the drink definitely felt diluted and asked them to make it again. I apologized said it was my fault and asked if they can make it with sugar. Yay, I'm a fan of Boiling Point. It is easier to get to any location than Bellevue, so this is a cool spot if you're around the Eastside and is craving Boiling Point and don't want to deal with a small parking lot where drivers likes to take up 2 spots. It's busy here, but easier to get into than Bellevue's also. Their menu is easy to understand, you just pick one of their preset pots that everything is already cooked for you, there's about 10 options. You can adjust the spicy level & whether you want rice or vermicelli as your side. Sauces are available at your table. You can eliminate any ingredients or pay to add any, but you cannot substitute anything because it gets way too complicated. If you come during lunch time in a specific hour window, your meal comes with a complimentary green or black tea. The lunch prices are also lower for the same portion size. My personal favorite is the creamy curry, mushroom veggie, & Korean bean paste. If you aren't familiar with stinky tofu, don't get the number 1 House special, you'll hate it because even if you take out the tofu, your whole broth will still have that fermented taste. Unless that's what you like, then by mean get it, just make sure you are able to go home to brush your teeth if you have to still talk to people the rest of the day. Starting off I've never had anything like this. Never had a dish that starts hot and grows in intensity throughout the meal. We had the Korean Bean Paste and seafood and tofu at medium spicy. The Korean Bean Paste had sprouts, Nira, green zucchini, kimchi, pork belly, fish tofu, fish cake tempura, rice cake enjoy mushroom fish fillet, Crown Daisy, seaweed and Korean seasoning. So when I was visiting Seattle, I knew I needed to satisfy my craving for it. I came with my boyfriend and his friend around noon, and we had to wait about 15-30 min. After hearing several good reviews about Boiling Point in Redmond, I decided to give it a try. Service was good and our hot pots came out quickly. I ordered the Tonkatsu Miso hotpot with a side of rice and green tea. The flavors were very good and I enjoyed the lunch, however, there was a mistake with my order that I did not realize until I left the restaurant. I requested my hotpot without egg, but they ended up excluding my shrimp as well, which is one of the key ingredients. While eating, I was thinking to myself that the few slices of tonkatsu did not justify the $18 price, especially when many of the other pots are around $15. I was disappointed that what was a great experience turned out to be a mediocre one. My advice is that if you request customization of your hotpot either by adding or subtracting ingredients, ensure that you are getting the full value for your order. read more

I like all the different flavors but my favorite is the curry fish ball soup. The curry comes with napa cabbage, vermicelli, sliced pork, enoki mushrooms, imitation crab, fish ball, fried tofu skin, corn, tempura, Jicama, Chinese string bean, and sea salt cream (you can omit this). You can also order it with different spiciness levels from zero spiciness to flaming spicy (be prepared to feel it the next morning). If you come during lunch hours, your meal comes with a drink (either black or green tea). There's also dipping sauces at each table that you can dip your food in or add to your hot pot if you so desire. Also if you come during peak lunch and dinner hours, be prepared to wait. Milk cream curry hotpot, beef curry hotpot are usually my go-tos when I come here. I usually go medium on spice and get rice. Definitely if you can handle it, dip your meat and vegetables in the garlic bean paste. Holy cow, I wish they sold this stuff on the side cause I'd buy Costco sized bulk quantities. My favorite location out of all in WA. I literally drive from Renton to Redmond! They serve more of a favorable broth compared to the other locations. Always expect a wait for a table here, the place is pretty small. Unless your lucky or come at the right times during the week. I always order Thai Fusion pretty much Tom Yum. I love how it's a much larger size compared to all the other flavors. Spice levels are hotter than you think ie. if you want it on the medium side I would suggest level 2 spice instead of 3. Don't drink the water, its gross. Go for Hokkaido Milk Tea with boba!! Service is a hit or miss. I know for a fact when they are busy you really have to flag them down and don't be afraid to do so! We waited about 20 minutes by the door because there was no more space for all people. There is a machine where you can add your phone number on the queue. You will get a text but I think it is always good staying near because they will also name numbers and availability. Tables are really small. There is jo place to keep your stuff :S There might be a chance to share table with another party. Be polite to not take all over more places because there is more people waiting... All their soup options looked amazing! The flavour is there!! I finished mine!! It was so good hahaha. I ordered Thai medium spice. But my husband had the Taiwanese. Great new location with great service and a cozy interior. This location is in downtown Redmond area with a very small interior and tables packed in there as much as they can with uncomfortable chairs. The floor is also brick so that was kind of weird. With that said, they have sent the best servers they have from the Bellevue location (I believe) and they are good at their job even when it is too busy for the two of them to handle. The hot pot here still taste great but not as spicy I don't think and the curry we ordered didn't have enough curry but was still enjoyable. I ordered my regular lamb and it was fine. The tea was free before 3 so that helps with pricing. I think this area is for family because there were 4 family the time we were there and they all had small kids with them. So I guess come here and expect in a tiny space with kids. Again - a convenient location for people living in the Redmond/sammamish area. I'm Chinese, so I could've conversed in Mandarin, but I was with a non-chinese/taiwanese person so I spoke in English. Needless to say it felt a little awkward. Don't get me wrong, this reminds me of home, with kpop and mandopop playing in the background, but I really wish the communication wasn't a little awkward. My waitress was super nice though, and she was really kind. We got the Thai Flavor soup, which was delicious! The broth was so hearty! With mild-spicy, it actually tasted mild. I actually could've gone spicer. A very nice portion of meat and cabbage too. I swear if I ever get sick I'm coming here for my cure haha. I don't like their brand named hot pot which is the stinky tofu pot, it tastes horrible! Other pots are fine. I usually get the beef or Taiwanese pot depending on how hungry I am. The last three pots on the list are the bigger size pot. So pay attention to the size you are getting and the prices are few dollars more too. You also need to choose how spicy you want your soup to be. And you can choose rice or noodle as your side to go with the hot pot. I like their sauce too.
