You need to scan the QR code in order to sign into the wait list. At first, it didn't work for me. Turned out that I have to turn off something on my phone (in the privacy setting) I was so confused. I've always go to the San Gabriel location and I absolutely miss the old SG location so much. I'm not too fond of the new SG location. It's pretty small and the floor is always sticky there. I decided to visit another location in Arcadia. I couldn't find the place at first because it wasn't obvious to me. I found street parking and walked over. This location is bigger than the one in SG. Surprisingly they are not busy on a weekday during dinner time. I called ahead to ask for the waiting time for a table of two, which is none. Yay for me! My mom and I ordered #1 house special, mild spicy, with lychee green tea and amber tea. I can always count on their drinks, all drinks are good at BP. Sometimes I stopped by just for drinks only for to go. Staffs are attentive and friendly. Always checking up on us and refilling the soup base. Deeply dissatisfied and disappointed with this place -- I will not be giving them my business again! I went in today with a coworker for lunch, and the only truly spicy option on the menu was the Taiwanese Spicy selection. I told the waitress that I don't eat pig blood or pork intestine and asked if those ingredients could either be substituted or placed on the side for my coworker (since I was paying for the items anyway). The waitress said there were no substitutions allowed and that they could only remove the items, not set them aside. I asked to speak with a manager to see if an exception could be made, but she left and never returned. Rude!! About five minutes later, we waved another staff member over who came by to ask if our order had been taken. I repeated my request, and he told me the same thing -- that I would still be charged for the items, and they would not be willing to serve them on the side. This policy makes no sense to me. I told him that I would no longer be giving them my business and we left. Of course they didn't care. We went down the street to Momo Paradise Hot Pot instead, and for just $5 more, the quality and variety were far superior and All You Can Eat. Not to mention stellar customer service compared to boiling point's staff who could care less about you. I've given Boiling Point several chances in the past, hoping things would improve, but each visit/take out has been disappointing. I can't believe they don't have good ratings on Yelp. Everything is top notch. Food is consistently good, very good portion with good nice ingredients. Service is great, I would say they are getting better and better. Tonight the servers always checking on us, water, soup, check, togo box... etc. Very attentive!!! We came at an awkward not quite lunch, not yet dinner time so we were able to just walk in and be seated immediately, but it's not the biggest Boiling Point there is so I can see this place being quite crowded when it's actually the lunch or dinner rush. With that in mind, you can check in and get on their waitlist where they can call you afterwards. They also have an app too, but I'm not too entirely sure how that works. All menus are QR code based and are neatly hung from the side of the table and all the condiment sauces and powders are ready for you too. You can NEVER go wrong with their Spicy Garlic Bean Paste. Drizzle some on your rice and prepare plenty on your dish for dipping and you're good to go! Every time I get Boiling Point I ALWAYS make sure to get their Old Fashion Milk tea, large size. Super creamy and delicious. It's one of the best milk teas out there and if it was sold at a stand alone boba place it'd also be one of my go-to's. Issue was that even at ordering at 50% sweet this was still a bit sweeter than what I would have usually preferred so I can't imagine what a 100% sweet one is like... My friend and I shared a Korean Bean Paste Hot Pot mild spicy with 2 steamed rice. Started out boiling hot as the franchise's name implies and stayed hot and warm but not scalding enough throughout our meal there. Good amount of thinly sliced pork belly that was enough for both of us to share without running out, as well as rice cake, mushrooms, cucumbers, and kimchi. Each other topping there was double of (fish tofu and sausage), so this worked out perfectly too. Once again, perfect with their dipping sauce. As with each Boiling Point, every meal ends with their refreshing QQ Jelly and you're good to go! PS. We went for a birthday, and the server confirmed that you can get a free pot AND free drink for your birthday with a valid government ID! Great service. Unprofessional Service Experience: I am writing this to share my personal experience attempting to place a phone order at the Arcadia Boiling Point. My interaction with the staff member who identified herself as Sabrina was, in my opinion, highly unprofessional. I was initially placed on a long hold without an apology. When the call resumed, the staff member's communication style was what I perceived to be dismissive and impatient. She chose to communicate in broken English that was very difficult for me to understand. When I struggled to follow her due to the language barrier on her end, she responded with an attitude that I found to be rude. Because of this negative interaction, I ultimately decided to cancel my order. When I addressed the behavior directly, she did not offer an apology for her rude attitude. As a customer, I found this level of service unacceptable. First time trying. It was good. The medium spicy matched my regular spicy level. The portion was good. Had it with a side of rice. Got the winter melon tea. Sadly they did not ask the sweetness level and got a really sweet tea. The server was kind enough to remake it with half the tea, extra water and ice. Still sweet but tolerable. We love the food at Boiling Point and have been eating here for years. My wife and I have always been fans of their soups. However, during our second visit to this branch on September 1st at 1:30 PM, we were extremely disappointed by the staff's behavior. We were standing quietly against the wall, waiting for our table, and were not blocking any path for the servers. We even had our baby with us. Despite this, we were told to wait outside in 98° heat. We were confused as to why we were asked to leave when we clearly weren't obstructing anyone. To make matters worse, when the host returned to call on the other party, they repeated the demand for us to go outside--this time in a very rude manner. The restaurant was basically full when everyone got seated and it seemed like more and more people were added on the waitlist. Popular spot! That being said, since there were so many customers, they seemed short staffed. There were only 2 servers around the restaurant and taking orders. The food came out pretty quickly but the kitchen staff seemed to be used to it. The food over all is very high quality and there's a huge variety of ingredients in each of the bowls. During lunch time you can choose either black tea or green tea and it comes complementary with each order. The soup has tons of flavor and you can always ask for more broth to be added into your bowl, and if it's boiling too much over, you can ask them to turn off the flame. I used to go to the San Gabriel location but I feel like since they have moved, the SG location is too small and the quality of the food has suffered. I think Arcadia is the better location in the area as the food is better tasting and portions are bigger here. The Beef Hot Pot is my favorite! Service (5/5): The service here is usually pretty good. The wait staff are friendly and are quick to attend to customers. I appreciate that even when it's a full house, the food comes out quickly and the servers are attentive. They do a good job refilling broth and turning off the fire whenever I need it. Ambiance (3/5): It's small in the restaurant and there's not that many tables. It's usually pretty loud inside and has casual vibes. Unfortunately, there's no space to wait inside and you have to stand outside when waiting for a table. Food (4/5): Can't go wrong with any of the Hot Soups - my go-to is Beef. The sauces they offer elevate the food to the next level. I love the garlic bean paste and the garlic soy sauce (mixing these 2 together is my favorite way to combine the sauces). - Beef Hot Soup - Mild ($20.15): My favorite! The soup has great beefy flavor and the spiciness adds some depth to the broth. They now give a generous amount of beef in these soups after they raised the price in the beginning of 2024. You can also get refills of rice for no additional charge. - House Special Hot Soup - Mild ($19.88): It was ok. The soup lacked flavor and while the toppings were a lot, I felt that the pork tastes worse than beef. Also, sometimes the spice levels are inconsistent as this mild wasn't spicy at all and occasionally mild tastes like medium. - Spicy Fermented Tofu ($6.41): I'm not the biggest fan. Tastes kind of artificial for some reason? It is actually spicy and has a strong kick to it. - Honey Milk Green Tea ($6.25): When I'm craving a drink from here, this is my typical choice. Tastes good and pairs well with hot soup! It is pricy for just some milk tea though. - Amber Oolong Milk Tea ($5.95): This is a new drink that came out recently. I think the flavors of the Amber Oolong tea are more dynamic than the Honey Milk Green Tea. It has a very slight toasty spice flavor that weirdly goes well with the milk tea. I would drink this again when I'm bored of the green tea. Price (3/5): Since the price increases, I feel that the value of the soup has declined. They claim that it's double meat from before but honestly, it seems like it's 1.5x rather than 2x. It used to be a better deal. We came on a Saturday night, and it was very busy even at around 8:30pm when we left. Definitely worth it though! We got the lamb hot soup, mild spice. It comes with a lot of food, and there's a huge variety of ingredients in the soup. I like to mix all 4 sauces provided on the side as a dip for the meat and veggies although it is not entirely necessary since the savory soup is already really flavorful. For the mild spice, it honestly does not taste spicy to me and I am someone who can barely handle hot cheetos. Everything is absolutely delicious, and I am definitely coming back! The service was really great too - very attentive and always offering to add soup or turn off the fire. They give you a little jello thing at the end as a "dessert" and it is the perfect palate cleanser. If you're in SGV definitely come check this place out :) read more

Haven't been to this location in at least 4 years. Since the last time I've been, they remodeled the inside and changed the table layout. The space is a bit smaller than the Rowland Heights location. The parking can be tough especially if it's busy at the time you go. The service isn't bad, as the night I went, the servers came around a couple times asking if we wanted water or soup refills. I feel like you can't really go wrong with the pot. If you're craving personal hotpot, Boiling Point is a good place to eat at. They always give a lot of cabbage as and the pot is filled to the top. I didn't notice much of a difference in food quality from this location to the Rowland location.
