Fall off the bone is one thing but bones jumping off the meat is another. The brisket was more brisket pudding like. Hard to almost tell the difference between the boneless baby back ribs and the brisket pudding. Smoked sausage was a crispy on the outside. Texture is a big part of good BBQ. Food did taste good though I won't be back. For the price point literally anywhere is going to have better meat texture. read more

This is good BBQ anywhere besides TX. The standout for me was the brisket. We had a mixture of the point and the flat with the point being notably better. The beef ribs had pretty good flavor but the grade of meat was middle of the road. Pork ribs were good particularly with the spicy BBQ sauce. Pulled pork was meh for me but it's rare to find a place that knocks it out of the park on all of the meats. Here in Phoenix for one night staying at the Sheraton Phoenix Crescent. And saw this restaurant across the freeway from my hotel. After seeing all the high yelp reviews, I decided to give this place a try. And boy, I'm glad I did. I started off with an appetizer, called the Q-rolls. These were super tasty, briskets wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried. These are super crispy, but the inside had super moist and tender beef brisket. Coupled with the chipotle ranch sauce, this appetizer is amazing. They also provided some cornbread before our meal. It was actually interesting because they seem to either fry pan it or did something else to make it a little bit unique and different than all the other cornbreads I've ever tasted. It was also delicious. For the main dish, I decided to order the 10 ounce slow cooked prime rib. It was very delicious. The meat was very flavorful with the au jus and very juicy and tender. The edges of the prime rib had excellent dry rub on it and was very tasty. It was a very good prime rib and I would stack it up against the house of prime rib in San Francisco or the Caesars buffet in Vegas. Mac & cheese was pretty good and very rich. And the broccoli actually tasted very good and I believe they put garlic on it? It gave the broccoli a nice touch. Bobby Q is definitely worth the hype. read more

We had dinner yesterday and when arrived at 6:00 pm we kindly asked for availability to eat outdoors. The lady told us that there was availability but they had a reservation for side patio at 7:00 pm. We thought it was great! We can eat in one hour. Well, we got our food at 6:20 and at 6:30 they brought us boxes, the check and started to pick up out plates when I did not even get to finish my drink and obviously my food either. We felt so rushed. I know it is not our waiter's fault because she's only trying to do what she's been asked by higher up management but I believe they should have a better system. I didn't get to finish my drink and was extremely uncomfortable that I had to finish my dinner at home. If we were have know they were going to star to kick us out by 6:30 we were had pick indoor seating instead. Lauren, our waitress was phenomenal, and took the time to take pictures of our party on several phones. Found this by accident enroute from Phoenix to Sedona. We wanted BBQ. This was place is super busy and yet the service speed is good. We had the Texas beef ribs and 1/2 rack of pork robs. The pork ribs are falling off the bone. The texas ribs are great but you need to work to get the meat of the bone. It is worth it. We had beans, potato salad, ... as sides. All of them good sized. Could never get refills on drinks or extra sauce for meal or even ask about our meal. My husband had the two meats meal with ribs and brisket. The brisket was mushy and tasted funny but the ribs were good. I had the bbq chicken salad. For $19 There was hardly any chicken and it was not Bbq'd. They are absolutely delicious!! Wood Fire Top Sirloin with potato salad and vegetable of the day Once again marinated very nicely. The steak had a nice smokey flavor to it. I had gotten the vegetable of the day which was a grilled broccolini and that was amazing beyond words! I normally don't like vegetables but I ate it up happily! I could have had a few of these easily. - Smoked sliced beef brisket: Tasty and we have had better. - Mini sugary donuts: I didn't try them until we came back to our accommodation. Being a Texan I'm always skeptical of BBQ places outside of Texas. The smells walking up to the front door took me back to my summer weekends bbqing for my girls. However, that's probably the best part of tonight. I ordered the 3 meat platter with a side of beans and tater salad. The beef ribs were somewhat tough for being smoked for 22 hours, the sausage was ok, and finally the brisket; ahh the driest brisket I've had in years. Everything slathered in sticky sweet bbq sauce. Would have been nice to know before hand. I'd have asked for sauce on the side. So for a smoked food place I'd say stay away. I may be back to try the grilled ribeye, maybe. Last night was my celebration dinner, we had a party of 15 people 5 of which were children. Upon sitting down at the table no kids menus were provided and I had to ask after 15 minutes if they had kids menus, to which one of our servers stated they did and if I would like a few, ( considering we had kids at the table duh.) once we finally got our order in and food started to come out at different times, a few people got their food, 5 minutes later a few more got food and then finally the rest of our food came out and was on the table, nothing was super extraordinary for it to come out at different times. I had asked for a medium rare steak, when I cut into my steak it was medium well, it lacked flavor. After flagging the server down 2 different times he took the steak back and it took over 15 minutes to bring a new one back another one that cooked worse than first one. The lack of service was horrendous, there were so many little things that could have been handled better. At this point I was over the whole experience, and wanted to leave, it took over 15 minutes and I had to ask again for the checks to come out.
