Received a nice email message from management, glad to hear they want to make things right. I'll post again should I go back. Thanks!

Wife and I spent a weekend in Phoenix and after reading the reviews we decided to have dinner at Bobby Q. We were very satisfied that we made that choice. The staff were genuinely nice and the food was awesome! We started with their famous Q-roll which was packed with yummy smoke brisket. Also got an order of the fried zucchini which was some of the best I've ever tried. For the main course, we both got the prime rib. Cooked perfectly, deliciously seasoned, and served with piping hot au jus. A must try in Phoenix! read more

Great time!!! Good food, fun music. Split Latino and hip-hop sides. Nice staff. I will definitely recommend and be back.

A group of 10 of us went to Bobby Qs for barbecue's for lunch after hearing it was a great place to eat. Only one of us had been there before, but we all left impressed! Our waitress, Lenna, was absolutely wonderful. Lenna took great care of all ten of us and made sure everyone had exactly what they needed. That's not easy with a group of ten senior ladies! The food was excellent. From the ribs to the chicken, everything was delicious. I ordered the chicken pot pie, and honestly, it was the best I've ever had (sorry, Mom but it was even better than yours!). Lenna provided outstanding service, and we made sure to leave her a generous tip. It's not easy making a living these days, and she certainly earned it. We'll definitely be back! Good was great. Service was friendly. Loved everything. We were greeted quickly and the menu was explained in detail. We loved the ribs, pulled pork and brisket. The final touch were the donuts. read more

We went to the quaint little Bobby Qs and they were closed so we were told about this one from another lady who stopped to eat and that's how we ended up here. We had no idea about this one which turns out is the original. It's cute motif and picture moments spread throughout the establishment. The staff are very friendly especially our waiter Travis. I got the bbq chicken salad and a side of baked potato with sweet tea. Hubby got ribs with corn and sweet tea. We both enjoyed the DELICIOUS food and wish we had one in Bullhead City!!!! We have the Azfood guy to thank for our love of Bobby Qs. Btw, the closed store was so awesome that they came out and gave us some gift certificates as they apologized for the store being closed for some renovations. Thanks!! Highly recommend! read more

Great service, food, and fun atmosphere. The complementary corn muffins and donuts are a yummy addition to the experience at Bobby Q's.

This location only... this place is a must! It's a trek for me to come here but when I'm craving for gooooooood bbq, this is the place to be! Service is always good, atmosphere is fun... because it's kinda loud and it sounds like everyone is having a great time. Best bbq in AZ for me. read more

To start AMAZING customer service, greeted and friendly & very attentive. This Fall Off The Bone BBQ is out of this world! I recommend must try! The ambience is so cozy you don't feel stuffed in good space between the tables. read more

Ordered: 2 Meat Combo (~$34): 2 meats & 2 sides - beef ribs, beef brisket, shoestring fries and mac & cheese Cornbread (complimentary) Donuts (complimentary) Aya's take: My 2000th review! If the Bobby Q neon sign or the "World Famous Slow-Smoked Barbecue" doesn't catch your attention, then the deliciously smoky and sweet smell or barbecue will! The 2 Meat Combo is perfect if you want to try multiple meat options or if you literally couldn't decide between the beef ribs and beef brisket like me. The beef ribs were superior, by the way. So tender and rich, not too fatty, and not doused in BBQ sauce. The beef brisket was pretty dry and the BBQ sauce on top added some sweetness but didn't improve the overall flavor. The shoestring fries and mac & cheese were both solid sides. I was pleasantly surprised that my waiter offered Cornbread which I happily accepted! The Cornbread is sweet, buttery, but could be more moist. The real icing on the cake were the complimentary Donuts they offered! They were so small, warm and fresh, and just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. It's just the right portion you would want after all this savory food. Pretty solid BBQ at Bobby Q; check them out! read more

I've been visiting Bobby Q's for years and never experienced any bad issues. Their BBQ is some of the best in the valley. The staff is usually excellent. While prices have gone up, and according to some, portion size have been diminished, well that's all part of shrinkflation. We still frequent them. We prefer seating inside and customer service over having to wait in line like at some other BBQ joint(s). read more

When Bobby Q is all lite up at night time , it does create a great atmosphere. Found it very cute. Service was attentive and answered all our questions. Just the down side was the taste of all the food. The biggest highlights were the free corn bread and donuts at the end of the meal. The Bobby's mule was an okay drink. The mac and cheese was probably the best side we got, as we didn't like the ranch beans and the corn was okay. In terms a flavor for a BBQ spot, it was just okay. I'm not sure if it had to do with being close to closing but I'm not the biggest fan of when BBQ sauce is just drenched over the meats as it's hard to get the flavor of the meat. The ribs- St. Louis style was my favorite but both ribs were good. They were juicy and fall off the bone tender. The brisket was just not hitting the spot. Then the chicken , I would just pass on. Overall, as I said -it was an okay meal not the best ,considering the corn bread and donut were the star. read more

Bobby Q - Barbeque Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I think it over priced to be honest. i bought the brisket and it was overcooked and overpriced. Service has nice

Bobby Q's was the perfect place to meet some friends that were in town. I'm so glad I made a reservation for Friday night. It's a huge restaurant with a huge parking lot, but it was PACKED!!!! We started off with the Q rolls which were absolutely delicious! The two dipping sauces paired well and the crispy rolls were stuffed with brisket. The 2 meat combo was huge!!! I took home another full meal!! The pulled pork and sausages were both delicious. The sausages didn't have the biggest kick but were still flavorful. The Mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy - just like you would want! Overall, the food was delicious and portions were huge. You also get to start with complimentary cornbread and get to end the meal with complimentary donuts - both unpictured because they were devoured so quickly. Will definitely be back!! read more

Great good and service! we really loved the Mac n cheese also the cornbread they serve when you sit down.

Not to mention... A friend took his gf here the day before and they both got food poising which I included in my prayer that we did NOT get food poisoning before eating here the next day lol, but I have to say... the food was subpar. Meat and stuffed potato was drier than desired. My date and I both did not fully eat our food. So, not the best experience. Sadly, I would choose Dillion's and/or other BBQ places over Bobby Q's in the future. The staff was awesome though! read more

I think my friend's and my standards are too high to have come here because we were not impressed as the other reviews suggested we would be. My favorite thing about this place was the mini donut maker they had near the hostess stand. Nothing else made a memorable impact. This place is a lot bigger than you would expect, but it was very empty while I was there. The staff didn't stop kids from running around tables where other people were seated and it definitely made me enjoy the experience less. The decor is exactly what you would expect in a BBQ place except the chairs were incredibly uncomfortable as if they are trying to get you to leave faster. The cornbread they brought was really dry and just a bland flavor overall. I ended up getting the Smoked Brisket Tacos with extra crispy french fries. I would say half the fries were crispy how I wanted them and the other half were pretty soggy as if they were old. The tacos were okay. I really liked their salsa verde, but everything else was just mehh. The tortillas were too thick and extremely greasy. They were also half hard so they were left under the heat lamp in the kitchen for a while before being served. Definitely wouldn't recommend coming here if you're used to really good BBQ. read more

Man, I had really high hopes for this place. Walking up to the doors, the smoked meat smelled awesome. I got a pulled pork sandwich and a dessert and I gotta admit, it was pretty average pulled pork for being a $20 dollar entree. The butter cake tasted like something out of a box. The service was average and the ambiance is nothing to write home about. I'll likely not return. read more

Amazing food, excellent service, cozy decor/ambiance. I loved the broccoli and the donuts!!!

A local family friend told us about this restaurant and how good the old fashioned is. We had to try! We visited on New Years Day 2024 around 4:00pm, happy hour! I did make a reservation online via yelp, but it wasn't needed as there wasn't a wait, but I love having that option. Their happy hour runs from 3-5pm throughout the restaurant and is extended from 5-6pm on the patio and bar area. We opted for inside regular seating since we were dining with our 3 and 1 year old kids. Lots of indoor seating, both tables/chairs and booths. There were 5 adults and 2 kids in our group. Our waitress, Alyssa, was amazing! We ordered all food and drinks off the happy hour menu! Everything came out hot, drinks were great and Alyssa made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the complimentary corn bread and after your meal, they give you a brown paper bag of mini donuts, which were covered in sugar, extra warm and delicious! We will totally return again! read more

I don't have a rating... but if I could give a 0 I would. I purchase 3 orders of the lunch special of rib tips with 1 side which came to about $50. The problem is for each meal we got 3 rib tips ( all fatty pieces mind you!!! I spoke with Carla the manager and stated that's what you get in this economy. I was a customer for over 20 years and they just lost my business. The quality of the food isn't up to par. Carla really didn't care about what I was saying and had a very nonchalant attitude. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. For how loud the restaurant itself is, it's shocking how quickly they try to shame a family if a child cries. A woman (server, manager, or possibly the owner) approached our table in an extremely rude and confrontational manner and demanded that we make our child stop crying because, according to her, customers were "ready to leave" because of it. At no point did she ask if we needed anything or show even the slightest bit of empathy. She didn't ask if everything was okay or if there was anything she could do to help. Instead, she immediately came over to essentially scold us in front of everyone around us. As a mother, the way this situation was handled was incredibly humiliating and unnecessary. Parents already do their best in situations like this, and to be approached so aggressively by staff is completely unacceptable. Customer service should involve basic respect and understanding, especially when dealing with families. What makes it even more frustrating is that we are visiting from out of state and were simply looking for a nice place to eat. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and judged. Ironically, we stayed and finished our meal, and there were other children crying in the restaurant as well, not to mention the extremely loud music the entire time. Clearly, noise was not actually the issue. This experience was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. Management should seriously reconsider how their staff are trained to treat paying customers. Hopefully the owners will take this feedback seriously and ensure no other family is made to feel the way we did. read more

I kept seeing their billboard from the 17 and today I had time to stop. The place is a little tucked away but has a great ambiance inside and out. I had the rib tips with baked beans and it was great. I want to try something else next time. read more

Went for the first time and it was a horrible experience. The steak we ordered came with a grey streak through the middle. When we returned the steak and asked for a burger to go for our nephew it was found to have plastic wrap in the middle of the burger. 3 of our orders were wrong for 6 people. This is unacceptable. We left a good tip for the servers, but the kitchen is absolutely not worth it. We will never recommend or return to this restaurant again. read more

Great service, polite staff. Menu was great, BBQ flavors and choices of sauce. Love that you can buy the sauce by the bottle. Parking is easy and free. Indoor seating was average busy noise level for an other family style restaurant. read more

Bobby Q has REALLY great food. We try to do dinner before the dinner rush and have never had to wait when coming here. We have always been quickly seated and have had such friendly servers and hostess. We have tried quite a few things on the menu and have loved EVERYTHING!! The Q rolls are a must for appetizer. Think of BBQ meets mini chimichanga. The dipping sauces are both so good as well. The BBQ chicken has always been super tender which we've had as a main and shredded in the salad. The chimichurri jumbo shrimp are delicious and you cannot go wrong with any of the sides. The Mac n cheese is so ooey gooey delicious and ending your meal with donuts is a win. Grab a dozen to take home too and you won't regret it. We will be back soon! read more

Great ambiance and service at this location. Had the lunch special of a pork slider, very disappointed. About 2 ounces of pork and the bun looked like the $1.99 hamburger one from Walmart. Not a good value for the price. I would not go back. read more

To be fair and honest, I don't go out to bbq restaurants often, and it is not because I don't like bbq, it is because I'm pretty picky about it. I have a custom built reverse flow offset smoker at home and usually make bbq at home. We tried the beef ribs and the pulled pork, along with some sides. The pulled pork was on point and definitely had excellent flavor and moisture. The beef ribs were cooked enough to be tender, but were covered in sauce which I'm never a fan of. Our server Ariel was friendly and attentive and took good care of us. Will definitely return as I want to try their brisket and pork ribs. I would recommend Bobby Q to anyone looking for bbq in the Phoenix read more
