OH MY GAH! The food was so good and warm! I loved the food and service. Our server was attentive and friendly. The appetizer was fresh and tasted so good! The cornbread was served with butter and it was delicious. I recommend the mashed potato + Mac & Cheese + potato salad, and the corn. I was living for how smooth and delicious the brisket was. It was my first time going to Bobby Qs and overall, I enjoyed my time. The good: - We ordered the whole hog heaven for $80. We got St. Louis and the baby back ribs, plus the chicken and the beef brisket. The meat was heavenly! - Our server was so knowledgeable and attentive. No problems! - Cocktails: we got the pineapple passion and the drink the flamingo glass. Loved them! The very bad: - We ordered 3 sides and every single one was disappointing. The corn clearly came out of a can. The baked potato wasn't cooked fully so it was so hard to eat I had to use both hands to try and scoop the undercooked potato from the skin. I was so excited for a fluffy and soft potato, so this was a big let down. The Mac and cheese was meh, and it had zero flavor. - We were seated at a booth that was incredibly torn up, so it scratched our legs and was uncomfortable to sit at for long. Great Meetup spot for business and catching up when I'm in the East Valley with clients. Lunch this day was very quiet so we felt like VIP's and the service was great. We had both regular Tea and Sweet Tea... both were good with plenty of refills throughout the meeting. As for a cocktail, I had to try the Blood Orange and the La Ofrenda... The bbq sauce wasn't overpowering and glazed nicely on the meat 10/10. Not pictured: Chicken Parmesan - which to me was just okay, nothing spectacular 6/10. Service was awesome , turkey was moist and tasty. Unfortunately the mashed potatoes contained more than potatoes. I found a large piece of what looked like a rubber band but was not elastic. The server was very concerned and contacted the manager. The manager acted like it was no big deal and had the server bring out more mash potatoes. We came here once a month for q rolls and brisket. The place was packed even though we dined in the last hour before they closed. We decided to order the Q rolls which was highly recommended and got the Smoked Jumbo Texas Beef Ribs to share. While we were waiting for our food, we got complimentary cornbread with butter, which was just ok in my opinion. Now onto the entrees -- The ribs were big, thicc, juicy and tender. The sauce was so so good with it and complimented it well. The sides that came with it were pretty good. I just wished the brussel sprouts were a bit more roasted. The Q Rolls had really good texture, but a tad bit dry. I wish the brisket was fatter would would have been great. It had tons of meat and it was very crispy. My boyfriend and I were stuffed at the end of the night. We enjoyed all our food and loved how there were complimentary donuts to go home with, which were amazing~ Service did get a bit slow towards the end. We have loved Bobby Q for years and usually frequent the Biltmore location. Tonight we had a birthday dinner for our son and his family at this location. A modest dinner of 4 adults and 1 child. Food was great service not so much and the bill, questionable. Drink prices through the roof. 2 Tito's and tonic and a Perrier for 35.00. Used credit card to pay for dinner and was charged an additional credit card fee of 3% on a 220$ bill. Too big a resto group ( at least 5 locations we are aware of) for this kinda stuff. Bobby Q is an absolutely bangin' barbecue restaurant! Not only is it a play on words (say the name to yourself a few times) they take the BBQ game to another level. They've got several locations in the Phoenix area and it's not hard to understand why. The restaurant was absolutely packed and they were still turning out mass quantities of food without any problem. Service was excellent and our drinks were full and the food came out really fast. We had the "whole hog heaven" platter, which was an absolutely huge amount of food that fed like five people without any problem. In fact, there were some leftovers. The brisket was absolutely amazing as were the baby back ribs. The barbecue sauce was wonderfully flavorful and the spicy sauce had just the right amount of kick. unfortunately, I didn't get any really good pictures of the food because everybody dug in as soon as it arrived. The ambience is pretty neat and is a celebration of American barbecue. They had the restaurant decorated for Christmas, which was pretty cute. Five stars and definitely worth visiting. Went to dinner last night and honestly not sure I will go back . The waiter saw we spilled a water at the table watched it happened and walked away. We literally all used out dinner napkins to clean it . I added it to a pile on the table on a plate and we had to ask if he could take it away after almost 30 minutes. I have no complaint about on the food hence the at least three stars. What was most annoying was the blind side you with three percentage charge at the end . Like put up a sign up giving folks a heads up . The worst part is you could tell for the waiter felt so awkward about it ,that he felt it was a need to tell us that they also do it to their tips.Who does that to thier employees you take the 3% off thier tip as well how dare you !!!! This place is very expensive which is fine but come on jus raise the meals a couple dollars and save your self the embarrassment as well as your staff having to explain it !!! We decided to go for our Anniversary dinner, we had been here once before and loved it!! This time when we arrived we were greeted by a server who didn't seem to want to be working so the experience started off super underwhelming. We ordered the BBQ rolls which were so excited for but the meat inside was flavorless and very dry/burnt. Which we were super dissapointed with. We ordered the 3 meat plate; which did give us a lot of meat but the food itself was cold and did not have much flavor. The Mac and cheese was the only thing that had flavor and was hot. Our server never refilled drinks or checked in on us. Once we got our tab, we were super excited for the donuts since those looked hot and fresh but we never received them with our tab. We were told if we wanted donuts that we would have to purchase them, but they used to come with the meal. Went for Thanksgiving. Had reservations for 5 pm and seated at 5:30. (arrived 4:45). Seated in back where the majority of tables were empty (dirty). They didn't start bussing dirty tables til we were leaving over an hour later. my husband and I both ordered turkey. He got 8 thin slices and i got 3 thin slices. he ordered baked potatoe which was huge, i ordered mashed potatoes and had a small scoop. ordered dessert to go and it took longer to come out than our meal did. Our experience here was 4 stars. We arrived at around 5:30 on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Menu is pretty big. We were expecting the usual just meats and some sides like most bbq places. This menu is much bigger with burgers and plates so there's quite a bit to choose from. My husband and I went with the 2 meat plate. Comes with two sides. We also got corn bread. For our meats we picked the brisket and pulled chicken and for sides we tried the coleslaw, baked potato, and potato salad. Corn bread was good but pretty sweet. The meats were so tender but also very sweet (because the sauces are sweet) and in fact, pretty greasy. Don't get me wrong, they tasted good but after having the corn bread and the meats and the coleslaw, which was also sweet with a sweet soft drink, it was a little too much. Baked potato was very good but also had a ton of butter on it, I had to scoop some out. Service was superb and place is very clean. Ambience is dark but not uncomfortable. Price was very reasonable so that was a plus. By the time we were leaving, people were waiting for a table inside and out! It is worth a try for sure.
