Horrible food and mediocre service. The brisket was the worst I've ever seen. It was a piece of mush. I didn't know brisket could be cooked and served as mush. The ribs were disgusting and we sent them back as well. The only thing decent were the sausage links. Server was slow and we had to ask for refills and for them to bring out our sides a few times. The ribs and brisket literally look like roadkill. They should be ashamed for serving that crap to people. read more

My son loves this place! He gets the ribs or bbq pulled pork, and they're perfectly done every time. I get Bob's salad, and the rotisserie chicken is perfect. Mmm They have a creative drink selection too. I had The Drive-In, contains ginger brew with rosemary and lemon with vodka. Thumbs up. The service has always been great every time we've been. I wish they would come up with a fancy low sugar drink for kids tho. read more

Food is amazing. Our entire table had: loaded potato with beef brisket- beef and was super tender and full of flavor. Baby back ribs- amazingly fall off the bone tender meat. Prime rib- my husband said this was the best prime rib he had ever had. Pulled pork sandwich was really good too. Kids hamburger was ok. Kids chicken strips were very good and seemed to be hand breaded and fried to order (not your normal frozen and fried type). Mark was our waiter. It was his first night and he did an amazing job. My only issue was the wait time to get our food. It took 45 minutes from the time we ordered for the food to arrive at the table. Oh and the cornbread is to die for!!!!! Great job Bobby-Q!!! We will be back for sure. read more

Super disappointed in bobby-q this time. We called ahead to see if we could put our name in when we were 10 minutes away. We were told they don't do that and the wait is 35 minutes. My wife ran up to put our name in when we arrived so I could park the car. The time hadn't changed. We waited for 45 minutes and our "buzzer" still hadn't gone off yet. So I went and asked how much longer we had to wait. I was told 10 more minutes. 20 minutes went by and still no sign that we were going to be seated. By this time we only had 30 minutes to get to our movie across the street so we had to settle for firehouse subs next door and eat our sandwiches at the theater. read more

Very rarely do I give a 5 star rating but this place gave me no choice! The moment we arrived we were impressed by the ambience. The staff were nice and seemed to like where they worked which is always a plus. The server we got was nice as well. I couldn't decide what to order as my cocktail but the lemon drop I decided on was delicious. My husband loved his strawberry margarita and moms cosmo was great too. The food ohhhhh oh the food! First the sauce they use called "regular" BBQ was perfect sweet and flavored not just sugary. The brisket and ribs were definitely marinated to perfection and was falling apart from tenderness. The sausage was smoked and the flavor was a party in your mouth! The corn was sweet and buttery. The Mac N cheese was like momma makes in the south. The cornbread was sweet and buttery. The baked potato... how did they make a baked potato so good I have no clue! Everything was the best of its kind and fresh we were all in heaven. The manager even came to greet us and was very approachable. He was helping staff clear tables checking on guests and seemed to love what he does as well. After all the amazing ness we experienced to top it all off the gave free Togo homemade doughnuts and military discount.... this is our new favorite place and we will be spreading the word. Some places expect tips but this place earns it they model excellence here! Thumbs up!!! read more

Pretty good for a chain style BBQ joint. Service was good even on a busy night. Better BBQ joints out there, but for the money can't go wrong read more

This is my new favorite place! Great decor and service! The food was amazing and every side we tried was as well. They weren't add ons, they were amazing in their own right. Pricing was very good for what you get. I don't know of a better BBQ value around here. We will be back for sure! read more

My husband and I were staying in Mesa for Spring Training and looking for a restaurant with gluten free options. We decided to try Bobby Q because of the reviews. Thankfully I made a reservation, it was packed and people were waiting, but we were seated quickly. We ordered a huge platter with two kinds of ribs (St. Louis and beef ribs) and two kinds of meat (brisket and pulled pork). Unfortunately the options for gluten free sides were limited to baked potato, cole slaw, and grilled vegetables, not a lot of choices. The brisket was the best I've ever had! I wish we had ordered more. The beef ribs were kind of dry, but still delicious. The pulled pork was very good also. The only disappointment was the service. We ordered an iced tea and it wasn't served and we had to ask the runner that brought our food for the tea that the server forgot. I know they were busy but a beverage isn't an out of the ordinary order. Overall, it was a great meal and we will definitely be back. read more

What A great night out with my husband! The atmosphere was amazing. I love the old brick wall on the porch. When we walked up to the front door two hostesses opened the doors and greeted us with big smiles! The staff is intelligent, kind and good at what they do. Garrett, out server was amazing! I was told the baby back ribs are the best item on the menu so I chose them. It is true! They are amazing. I ate the roasted corn first and it was so delicious I forgot to leave room for the amazing meat. My teenage boys at home will be happy! I had a strawberry lemonade and it was perfect amount of sweet and tart. In short it was a perfect meal and a perfect night out. read more

Great place to eat out with your family. The food was great and the ribs fall right off the bone and the fries are amazing but I love fries so...the mud pie is giant and tremendously yummy straight out the earth. Don't even need to use your hands just a fork and included donuts at the end of a meal. Took a while to come out with our food but I guess that just means we'll eat more of it when it does come out. read more

Michelle was such a great server! Amazing food and a great time! Loved the happy hour!

In My Humble Opinion, Bobby Q has the best Baby back ribs in the statr of Arizona. I frequent the mesa sore at Stapely and the US-60. The staff from top to bottom are very personable, friendly and efficient. I have never had a bad meal or a bad eating experience. I use both eat in and carry out. I have varied my selections but my favorite is the baby back ribs. For the money the full rack is the better buy. As a variety I would suggest the 2 neat combo with Baby back ribs and pulled chicken. The ranch beans have a perfect combination of baked beans and meat. Ham and bean soup is an excellent choice for a side. I whole heartedly recommend Bobby Q. read more

We came from NY, the corn bread was some of the best corn bread you can find. i had the pork sandwich with the Caesar salad lunch combo which was very good and very affordable. my gf had the top Sirloin with loaded mashed potato's and corn. The sirloin was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly as medium rare. Overall a great experience and highly recommended it. If I am back in the area I will be coming back. read more

My group had to sit at the Bar because we didn't want to wait for 40 minutes. However, it was the best decision ever. The bartenders were stupid hot. I want to give them one star just for making me feel so insecure but they were GORGEOUS and knew how to make their customers feel loved (they offered donuts at the end. Might as well propose). The food was pretty good too but the highlight of my dinner were these godly men being present while I was stuffing my face with ribs. read more

The food is incredible! Service is the best! And my entire family loves eating at Bobby Q!

OMG!!!!!! So amazing. We started dinner with cornbread and fried zucchini, so pleasing to the taste buds! Followed that with a salad, that was pretty good, but I have had better.... now I know why my brother didn't order it. Then came the main course, that words simply cannot describe! The ribeye was magnificent, the most satisfying flavor I have ever experienced! The sirloin, what others at the table ordered and shared was amazing as well! The ribs??? Well there are a must have and the filet..... it was Devine!!! I am so glad everyone wanted to share, and my next visit will be so stressful, because WHAT WILL I ORDER???? Al I can say is..... go with a huge appetite!! It's a pretty penny, but come on, priorities, priorities!!!!!!! read more

This place has the best pulled pork brisket I have ever had! I love it! I have never sat down in the restaurant to eat! I normally do take out but the atmosphere there looks nice! They also have awesome sides. I loved the mashed potatoes, corn and and ranch style beans! read more

I'm so happy I no longer have to drive over an hour to get some Bobby Q! East valley people rejoice, quality BBQ in a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere is now in Mesa. I just had the pulled pork sandwich with ranch beans. The pork was tender and moist with a nice smoke flavor. They put on just the right amount of sauce so you could still taste the meat. The beans were also very good with chunks of meat in them as well. The corn bread was slmost too moist because spreading some butter on it made it crumble. Now I'm staring at my togo donuts wondering if I'm too full to eat them.... read more

We love the pork ribs and the beef brisket is both tender and moist. On top of that the sides are amazing, esp the mac and cheese and fully loaded baked potato. We got the Whole Hog Heaven - you get so much food it's a great deal. Our server Irma was friendly and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. She also helped me select a great beer to go with dinner (Peanut Butter Porter) that I never would have picked on my own. This place is really special. I recommend the lounge area in the back of the restaurant. Couches and chairs around low tables. A bit more quiet and you can relax after stuffing yourself on the amazing food. read more

Great Friday fish fry and yummy specialty drinks on the menu! I've been twice and will surely return.

Did the lunch fish & chip special. The fish was cod and perfectly prepared with very thin crust. Shoestring fries were crunchy and very good. Slaw was a pleasant surprise. Normally slaw is tasteless. Their slaw was yummy. Service was excellent as well. A very pleasant lunch by any measure! read more

My husband and I tried it for the first time a couple of weekends ago. We haven't stopped talking about it since. Everything we tasted was AMAZING! The portions are huge we probably could have shared a plate. The service was great! We loved that they bring corn bread to the table and send you home with these delicious mini doughnuts! My husband ordered the prime rib and it was probably the best one I have ever tasted! My chicken was amazing as well! And we LOVED all the sides we ordered. We had zero complaints about this place. In fact, we couldn't leave without getting a couple gift cards for both of our parents so they could try it! read more

Wow! Just wow! Octavian went over and beyond her duties with my Togo order from Grubhub. I live in Oregon and I ordered for my brother because it's his birthday. I made a small note in the description and said it was for a birthday. A few minutes later a sweet voice called me and asked if I would like a candle on the piece of cake That i ordered and said she could also throw some donuts in there as well. Also, she wrote a Happy Birthday note for me! She didn't have to do this but went over and beyond. She just made a customer for life. Thank you, Octavian! read more

The staff is always great. Atmosphere is great but I worry that they may have become too popular. While I would say the food is still good, it seems to be trending down a little the last three times we have gone. I am sure they will figure it out. read more
