WOW! I asked people to recommend a BBQ place because that's what my husband like and he LOVED it. I don't know if I remember the names correctly, but our favorite was the appetizer Q Rolls - seriously I would go back just to get these and I don't eat anything fried! The cornbread is fantastic. The three meat combo is what we ordered for our main meal and it had plenty of meat to probably feed 3-4 people. We left completely stuffed. Then the little doughnut surprise at the end just melted in our mouths. I really can't say enough good things. We are not from the area, but we will visit again when we are in this area. On top of all of it, our server was absolutely the best. We enjoyed interacting with him and felt like he was very attentive and helpful. read more

I used to come out to Bobby Q a lot with my friends and it had been a while, so we were so happy to come back to the same, great service. Our food came out super quick for being really busy. Our server Nicki was sweet. We realized that we wanted Mac and Cheese as our second side instead of the mashed potatoes and she subbed them out immediately. Gonna come again! read more

I have had several horrible experiences (food, service) from Bobby Q in Phx, but my sister loves Bobby Q so we tried the one in Mesa today. Called for a reservation. No problem. Lots of issues if you try that for Phx. My insanely picky sister did not like the seats we got outside because it was colder than expected. They moved us inside, no problem. They would show us the door in Phx if we would have asked for a new table. Food and service was top notch! I remember thinking the food was dry and so overrated, but the every single thing I ordered was fresh and juicy. I believe two different managers came over to check on us. All the servers for our party of 12 were wonderful. Joseph, our server, was quick with drinks, explained some things on the menu when I had questions, brought out dessert plates for my sister's birthday cake. I have changed my mind about Booby Q and plan to visit the Mesa location in the future. My sister, who lives in Phx, said it would be worth the extra drive for the better service and food too. read more

Bobby Q - Mesa - When they say full rack, they mean a full rack--doesn't even fit on the plate. I already ate what I could and the rest will be leftovers! - New American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

It's my first time here, and I really loved the rolls they have. The ribs were superb but I was disappointed with the customer service. I requested to have Brandon Yamamoto as my server due to his welcoming personality and greeting at the entrance. Unfortunately management did not full fill my request. The food was great but the customer should always be right and fully accommodated. It gave me a bad first impression. read more

First time here from an out of towner: Initial impression was the outside aroma...fantastic! Next impression was the service... authentically friendly and quick. Finally, the most important impression was the food... amazing! Juicy and flavorful and quickly delivered. I'm definitely coming back for more! read more

Good bbq, cool atmosphere & great service! The St. Louis ribs and brisket were amazing!

We ordered babyback ribs, pulled pork, half a chicken, and beef ribs..... Everything taste good overall but everyone thought the chicken was a little bland. The next day everyone who ate the chicken were fighting over the bathroom. 24hrs of potty issues. We thought maybe it was something else. 4 days later only one person ate the leftovers including chicken and baby back ribs while everyone else had Pete's fish and chips... next day that person is living on the toilet! read more

This place is awesome!!!! My husband and I are new to Arizona - so new we don't have a house yet so just getting to know the area a little at a time. We found this gem across the street from AMC. All I can say is WOW!! We shared an onion block appetizer that was just great. The BBQ my husband had and my loaded baked potato was superb! Even my drink I ordered- a mudslide wasn't on the menu but they made a great one for me Our server Aislynn definitely is the best so hope we see her our next visit. Thanks BobbyQ for giving us such a great date night read more

Our son fell asleep in the car on the way to the restaurant. They sat us at a table that had one more seat than was in our party and were really opposed to putting us in a booth as they only seat 4. We were 6. Management intervened and really made our meal amazing. They really turned what could have been a crappy experience into a great one. We'll be back. And the food is really great too. read more

I'm really sorry to post a 2 star review for this place but my experience yesterday deems it necessary. My son and I arrived for a late lunch/early dinner at about 3:30. We were seated at a table near the overhead doors. We both ordered and while waiting I asked my son if it was warm in the restaurant or was it just me? He also thought it was really warm. While we were waiting for our food I noticed that one of the overhead door was open. Then we noticed that birds are flying in and out of the dining room. Not once, but multiple times. So between the heat and the birds it was impossible to enjoy our meal. The food was 4 stars but the experience was a zero. read more

I love the atmosphere. My waitress was wonderful and gave great suggestions. I had the smokehouse burger with potato salad. Both were delicious. The burger was cooked to my satisfaction and was delicious. One reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the onion rings on my burger were really too greasy. I loved the corn muffins and hot doughnuts to go. read more

We love Bobby Q, it's our favorite place for the best Ribs of all kinds.... Chicken too !!!! And we also love the little bag of donuts after you eat.... Everything is so yummy.... They aim to please, and they certainly do .... read more

I have tried a number of their menu items, my favorite so far is the brisket sandwich. The staff is always pleasant and the tables are clean every time I go. The atmosphere here is just incredible, it's cozy and dimly lit. I just wish they would get fried pickles as an app. read more

This is one of my favorite places in Phoenix for BBQ. I've been all over the south where BBQ was born and these guys get it.

Had an amazing brisket sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce on it last night. The mashed potatoes were absolutely incredible as the side. Definitely coming back!! read more

Always have issues at this location. The last time, waiter dropped a dish as he was walking away, literary dropped ketchup al down my back and ruined a shirt. A simple apology goes a long way- which I never got. Food is mediocre as well for the price. I prefer Phoenix location read more

Best BBQ place I've ever been too. The restaurant is huge and more of like an experience with a great meal. Our waitress, Nikki was top notch! She suggested we try the coconut mojito and were we ever glad we did. Very refreshing and light. I appreciated her taking time to make small talk and answer my questions about the food. We ordered the "Whole Hog Heaven." We picked St. Louis style ribs and baby back ribs, beef brisket, sausage, Mac n cheese, roasted corn, and shoestring fries. Before our meal we recieved 2 pieces of very moist cornbread. The food was great and the portions so generous we ended up taking a lot home. Going forward, I will order baby back ribs only (less fatty) and the Sausage. The brisket wasn't bad, but I like mine a little tougher. The corn was okay..not my favorite. Definitely get the mac n cheese...so creamy and wonderful. We will be back and hopefully will get Nikki again. Service was fast. We didn't have to wait for food long or drink refills. I was overall, very pleased with everything. We also had the manager visit the table and recieved 10% off our bill for mentioning yelp. Oh, p.s. upon leaving you get fresh made donuts to go! read more

Bobby Q - Mesa - Whole Hog Heaven - New American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Too bad our server said he was on his last week there, Chandler. He was amazing and extremely attentive. He suggested menu items and followed through with anything we asked- truly a pleasant server and does his job well. This was our first time at this location but it was just as good as the other location. We come to Bobby Q's every spring training and I tell all of my friends and family that this is the best BBQ spot in the West. I love the Hogs Breath platter and finishing it off with those amazing donuts. I always order too much and leave very full but the second best part about this food is that it makes fantastic left overs! read more

They feed you fresh made donut holes when you walk thrust the door! Who does that? Bobby Q does and they are the best in town!

Stopped in the other night and was met with great food and outstanding service. My server, Maya I believe, was incredibly courteous and kind. I was thankful for such a pleasant experience read more

My favorite bbq place in AZ. I especially love the mini doughnuts they give you on your way out.

Charming restaurant. I'd read they had the best fried chicken in Arizona. I had to try it. The portion is large enough for me to take half home, moist and delicious. The mashed potatoes were delicious, and the gravy was good. I'll go back. Anna took great care of us. read more

Wife and I had been going here since they opened. Went back last Friday night to find out one of the best things they had, had been removed!! Bring back the shoe string fries. Your new frys suck. Steak and everything else was good as usual. read more

Food is always amazing. We've tried the chicken, the pork, all the ribs, brisket, steak, plus.... We've never been disappointed.

Will be going back soon love the place!!!!!another great meal-- service was excellent and the staff were very nice.. some of the best BBQ in town love this place , be back soon!!! read more

It's ok. It's super expensive, and I know they've been on TV or whatever. And it's a chain, so I don't really expect a lot anyways, but seriously if you're already in Mesa, save your cash and go to Waldos on Main Street and Greenfield. Free donuts don't make up for brisket made without love and overpriced drinks. read more

Best damn barbecue in the Valley. Mesa has a new spot to try; rids to near perfection. Aged steaks and sausage that would put on its on show. It's a little pricey but you will enjoy the ] read more

We had family visiting from CO and wanted to take them to the best BBQ in the valley and we weren't disappointed. Everything about our meal was outstanding!! The service by our waiter Jeffrey exceeded our expectations. He was polite, funny, and attentive without being overbearing. Everything we ordered was served as ordered and was delicious. The things that were supposed to be hot were. We were even given time to finish our salads before the main course was served. Kudos to Bobby Q's and their staff!! read more
