Walked in cause it looked like a cool place to have a date night at. Went in for my birthday but the food is not as good as I expected from the price I paid. It is okay. read more

I brought my daughter for her birthday and had a great lunch. We asked for extra cornbread since it was her birthday, and the server more than accommodated the request. Food was great, and they even gave us extra donuts, too! The personal touches really set this place aside from other bbq places. read more

Excellent food had the prime rib dip was amazing and excellent service by trevion will definitely be coming back soon!

Excellent all around. Great drinks, great service and really good food. Baby back ribs are great, Mac was wonderful. Best BBQ for us in town. read more

Stopped in here for lunch yesterday while I was up in the Phoenix area for work. I love BBQ, so when they suggested Bobby Q I was all in. We don't have one of these in Tucson, nor was I aware they are a chain but I sure wish I had one close to home! Service was solid and attentive. They brought us these delicious little corn bread biscuits while we waited for our food. We ordered off the lunch menu which was a great deal -- pretty much 9 or 10 bucks for the items. I had the beef brisket sandwich with shoestring fries. LOVED. I heard some guy raving about the mac and cheese at the table next to us. Everyone was happy at our table (chicken and pulled pork sandwiches for my pals). When we walked in initially I saw this donut making machine and man was I happy when they brought us the bill and a bag of sugared donuts! Nice way to cap off a great lunch with something sweet. I am a bit surprised at some of the negative reviews, but I guess you can't please everyone. read more

Bobby Q - Mesa - Beef ribs, St Louis ribs, collard greens and loaded mashed potatoes - New American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

We've been here a couple times and have had excellent service by Cameron both times! Food was amazing as well!

My husband and I came here for an early dinner a bit ago. We were seated quickly and our waitress came and introduced herself immediately. She let us know she was brand new (1st night!). Honestly, if she hadn't told us that we never would have known. She was excellent and was on it. My food was really good. I had the half chicken with mac and cheese and my husband had the prime rib. The chicken was really good, but I wish I would have gotten something else. It was smoked, so it had a really unique flavor, but we have a smoker so it was nothing special for me. My husbands prime rib was cooked the way he likes it (medium rare), which is surprisingly difficult to get a restaurant. He said the corn was awful and he couldn't eat it. I thought that the mac and cheese was delightful! Super cheesy and rich, just the way mac and cheese should be. My husband, on the other hand, thought that it was just ok. The reason for the 4 stars is that while I thought it was really good, I didn't feel like it was exceptionally good. My husband thought it was average at best. All that said, I would probably come back if I was in the mood for some BBQ (but my husband wouldn't)! read more

Tonight was our first time at Bobby-Q's. Olivia was our waitress and she was phenomenal. I don't think we waited 10 minutes for our food. I ordered the sliced brisket and my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The meat in this place is fall apart tender. To top all of this off, the atmosphere is perfect. This review could be pages long. I highly recommend Bobby-Q's. Oh, and when you leave...DONUTS! read more

Bobby Q - Mesa - Sliced Brisket Platter - New American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Hubby isn't always in the mood for BBQ, so when he was up for it in Phoenix, I jumped at the chance. And thank goodness we ended up here, because we found some fantastic food! We arrived around 5p on a Sunday and had about a 20-25 minute wait. Once we got a table we were plenty hungry and ordered right away. In the mean time, we enjoyed some of the complimentary cornbread. It was sweet and soft and hard to resist! Our food was out in no time. We shared a three meat plate and they even split it for us! The best part of the meal was definitely the STL ribs. They were ridiculously tender! So tender, that when I went to pick it up by the bone, the meat immediately fell off. This is only the second time I have ever found wet style ribs this amazing. It seriously puts every other place to shame. (I will mention that we were told these ribs are fattier than their baby back. So if you prefer something lean, keep that in mind.) Unfortunately, the beef rib was not quite as impressive. It might have been over-salted and definitely on the chewy side. However, their brisket was a solid choice! Nice flavor and pretty tender. Also, the shoestring Fries were great! We'd probably do something other than the side of veggies in the future because they were bland in comparison. After paying the bill and tipping our great waitress, she then delivered a bag of freshly made mini donuts! I saw them being made at the entrance and they looked great, but I was telling myself that I didn't need to have dessert. But being complimentary I couldn't help myself! It was worth it! They were similar to a funnel cake consistency and rolled in cinnamon sugar. They were the perfect ending to a delicious meal!! read more

We ordered take out for a late Valentine's Dinner. No need for pictures as Yelp has plenty. Be sure to check in with Yelp for a 10% discount. We order to baby back rib dinners. Husband had corn and cold slaw. I had mac and cheese and cold slaw. The food was good. The ribs fell off the bones. The dinners were so large and fattening we saved half for the following night. Next time we will just share. read more

This place is incredible!! We had the pleasure of having trev as our server for the night. He was super attentive, funny and personable. The atmosphere here is awesome as well. The entire night they played amazing music and our food was so delicious. We ordered the prime rib sandwich, a loaded backed potato, a house salad and the peach cobbler. Brandon, the AGM took the time out of his busy night to bring our table over some fabulous craft cocktails. He is truly a fantastic guy if you have the pleasure of meeting him! This place is pretty legit! Don't let the gimmicky decor fool you, the BBQ here is the real deal! I brought my parents here while they were in town and we didn't have one complaint. The service was fast and friendly, the corn bread (free) before the meal was absolutely amazing, the BBQ was juicy and tender/ fall off the bone, and the post-meal donuts (also free) were a warm unexpected sweet treat. I personally had the baby back ribs and the brisket, so I highly suggest giving them a try! read more

The food is excellent here. The cornbread is to die forrrrrr. Extremely soft and tasty. The smoked wings are so amazing that I come here just for them. Definitely has the smokiness and tenderness that you can't find elsewhere. I also love the mac n cheese- it's extremely creamy and pasta is not overcooked. The mac n cheese is definitely a comfort food- nothing can go wrong when you have their mac n cheese! read more

We went in expecting great things! It's beautiful inside and well decorated. The menu looked great and the prices reflected what you'd expect from a high end restaurant. However, my wife and I were seated next to the loudest, most obnoxious group, lots of profanity and our server only came to the table four times including to seat us. Once to take our order, once to deliver our order and once to give us the bill. No refills, not to check up on us. Just a little disappointed. Food was great, but just lacked that touch that says, "we're gonna give you your moneys worth". read more

Great service thanks Trev. Food was excellent. Great atmosphere good times. Good doughnuts too

Bobby Q - Mesa - Princess Peach (I ordered a side of soda to thin out the sweetness, great flavor) - New American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

A large bustling BBQ restaurant just off the highway in Mesa surrounded by dozens of large chain restaurants. I chose this spot based on the super strong reviews and was a little disappointed when I saw what looked like a large chain restaurant bustling with hundreds of diners as I was hoping for a small artisanal joint but hey, we are in the suburbs after all. Turns out this is one of only two locations and as our waitress schooled us, one that has gotten lots of foodie accolades. We were seated a bit late for our 6 pm reservation after waiting for a few minutes in the crowded lobby but were given a nice cozy booth in the bar area. As we watched the huge platters of food going by at this bustling spot, we opted to share something for dinner. The menu features all the BBQ classics including ribs (baby back, St. Louis or beef), brisket, chicken and more mostly in the $20-25 price range. Most BBQ entrees come with the choice of two sides (potatoes: mashed, baked or shoestring, mac and cheese, pecan coleslaw, beans, roasted corn and more). Your meal starts with warm, crumbly hockey puck-sized corn bread and whipped butter. This is a LOT of food. We opted to share the two meat combo choosing brisket and ribs, coleslaw and fries. The food came out after a reasonable wait and the kitchen was kind enough to split things up for us in the back. We each had plenty to eat. So, why the mediocre review? For me the taste and quality of the food was good but not great. Despite the slow cooking, the two meats we chose were very fatty and the BBQ sauce was very ordinary to my tastes. The crispy fries were good as was the coleslaw while the corn bread was nothing special. Clearly this place is a hit as it was packed with people and due to the large food portions, a great value and seemed to be doing well at this suburban location. There was even a Texas road House directly across the street (similarly sized chain). I guess in the end it was just not my kind of place. read more

Me and my Wife stopped by after work, with our little baby boy. We went on Friday August 5, 2022. TREVION WAS OUR SERVER. So far he was the BEST WAITER i have had provide service to us probably ever before in my life. At least since living out here in Arizona. Our experience was the best and the food was great. I plan on going back again and I hope to have TREVION take care of us the next time we go too. The food was great and I have no complaints at all. Trevion thanks man!! 5 Stars because of your service. read more

Omg love me some BobbyQ! If there was one around the corner from where we lived, we'd probably be there more often. Large menu options and a decent lunch special menu as well. Food is excellent and service has been great the handful of times we've gone here. They keep you stocked with cornbread and tasty donuts for dessert, and for free! We really liked their chicken wing appetizer and pulled pork. read more

Sometimes they're simply too busy to do a great job which I assume is what happened last time we visited and our baked potatoes weregild, and the rib tips were obviously not smoked but were oven cooked....not good for the $$$$ we spent. Haven't been back since. read more

Incredible service! Tyler was our server and he was awesome and so prompt and friendly! Husband got the three meat combo- brisket was his favorite sausage was average but the ranch beans and mashed potatoes were out of this world. I got the pulled pork sandwich, for $14 it's a little on the small side compared to Rudy's bbq sandwich size . The fresh mini donuts after your meal won me over. Def make a reservation though for weekend evenings . It was packed glad we made one! read more

Bobby Q - Mesa - 3 meat combo with ranch beans and mashed potatoes -sausage not pictured - New American Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Excellent excellent excellent. I had the two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket, and I had macaroni and Brussels sprouts for my two sides. Both meats were delicious. The macaroni was delicious. I'm not even a big fan of Brussels sprouts, and they were delicious too, with just the right amount of char. I had some fruity strawberry drink, and it was incredibly smooth and sweet. This place is kind of pricey, but it is BBQ after all. For my money, I was completely satisfied, and will definitely be back again. read more

Great food, great atmosphere and customer service! I was so indecisive with what to order, because it was my first time here, but Garrett helped me figure out what I'd like best!! I tried the Baby Back Ribs, and MAN! They really do fall off the bone! They're almost harder to eat because you have to worry about it falling off the bone, into your lap! Lol. I'll definitely be back again to try more awesome food! Oh, and try the Frosted Lemonade! It's home made and so so good. read more

Brandon s the AGM was an amazing help in parring my dish with a fine wine will come back again for my anniversary thank you so much!

Not the avg bbq place, stuffy vibe but good food. It is expensive if you are looking for bbq.

Excellent service and even better food. Portions were large and the complimentary donuts were to die for.

Well, I'm going to be a little negative as I would suggest the owners/management watch the balance of food & service as poor marks in one can override the other for a so-so experience overall. Otherwise I would have awarded four stars. Architecture/Interior/Decor- Awesome, just an amazing and "big" place...fun to watch all the action. Food- The BBQ'd ribs (baby back, St. Louis and beef) were over-the-top awesome...as they should be from the restaurant's name. Chicken not so much- dry and a bit tough as a result. Q-rolls were delish but the fried zucchini were too thin and fell apart. Service- Here is the downfall. With all the greatness the service was noticeably slow...too slow. Yes, the place was packed but, but ? If you like BBQ, go. If you're pressed a bit for time, don't. read more

Unique! The app Q-rolls, the complimentary cornbread, and the end of the meal doughnuts were my favorite. I can literally just order just the app and get the corn bread and doughnuts at the end and be very much content! Really yummy and unique appetizer Q-rolls! They are fried rolls of brisket. Kinda like a egg roll, but the American BBQ version! So good! Comes with chipotle and the regular BBQ sauce that has lots of flavor. The corn bread was super yummy as well! Had the most amazing buttery flavor oooooo yummmm. My step dad ordered the Potato under the sandwich section on the menu. It looked really good with a side of Mac n cheese. I split a wedge salad with my bro- it was decent , we weren't too hungry so we thought a salad would make sense. I normally don't order salads going out, I wouldn't order that again here, but next time I'll make sure I have a larger appetite for a more substantial and flavor packed meal HAHA! One last thing...the mini sugar coated doughnuts they give you at the end of your meal are to die for! The first round came out room temp, we asked for fresher hotter ones as well and they were happy to bring us more. read more

We just had dinner for the first time at Bobby Q and on all three counts- food-service-ambiance- it is 5+++! Rarely are the sides as good as the main course but at Bobby Q's they are equally good. Walked into the place and they are playing 80's music....in a BBQ restaurant. Ok. Whatever. Our server (Joe) it was either his first day or someone trained him to not give us a second to ourselves. If he would've pulled a chair and sat at our table he probably would've been less intrusive. One of the female servers was walking around with high set pigtails like she was an adult entertainer. It was awkward. The managers table touch was a bit strange as well. He looked to old to be working in a restaurant. He would have been better suited for a divey biker bar. The ribs were really good! Like amazing which is why I've even given this experience a 2. The sides on the other hand were all really bad. The ranch beans had a odd after taste they weren't good. The mashed potatoes ( yes they messed up mashed potatoes) had so much sour cream they were bitter completely inedible. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese & she said that was too thick and not flavorful. The worst part is the food is double the price of Texas Roadhouse across the street..... We've eaten at the strange night club one on the west side & hoped this one would be better but I really can't believe it's actually worse. There is such a lack of options on this side of town for good places to eat that it being this bad is a huge disappointment. read more
