So me and my friend decided to come to Blue Mondays, I like the way the place is setup, the 80s music etc. Me and my friend decided to each open a tab, I get 3 Budweisers each costing $5 dollars. When I close my tab I expect to pay 15 dollars plus tax. Same with my friend he order 3 Budweisers and a Guinness. So at the end of the night we go close our tabs I get my check and I see I owe $30 dollars and my friend owes $29. I was tired didn't care I include a tip of $5 dollars which wasn't smart. My friend did not leave a tip because they over charged us and we knew how much we had spent. So we are walking out the door and the bartender gets in my friends face for not leaving a tip, wtf really? This guys is about 6'2 heavy set, full face beard, and a pony tail. So he comes with an attitude giving my friend crap for not leaving a tip after he over charged us and wow! This guy thinks he has that privilege? This is how you treat guest? I expect that from a 3rd world country not from a 1st world country. This guy tells us we are cheap and never come back, which I think would be the best idea. "Security" a.k.a. "Ralph" has in our opinion, ruined what once was a very good club. Now it is 1/8 of what it used to be. The bully "Ralph" has banned many of the regulars who used to go to this club and was in our opinion, the reason that Club London went under at Boardners. We have also witnessed him bullying kids and getting overly physical with them to throw them out of the club. (Only when this coward has at least 3 security guards with him of course). It seems like security guard "Ralph" bans people permanently if he doesn't like the way you dance or if you dance with a girl he likes. Beware of the security guards at this club ! I went on Wednesday night its called moscow. There was an argument between me & a security guard and he was shoving me trying to kick me out of the club. My boyfriend was out side the club and seen him roughly shove me. So he went to him and said keep your hands off my girl. Keep in mind I had 1 drink so I was not intoxicated by no means. The security guard who is about 6ft tall hispanic with eyeglasses got loud & agressive. Then he pushed my boyfriend against the wall and beagn to choke him. I watched the security guard choking him with his arm. My bf laid helpless on the floor and his eyes were rolling behind his head. First of all beware it's 18 and up so you'll feel like you're in high school all over again. Second I know they have a lot of "goth nights" which are just mind blowing. If you are a true goth then go have fun, do every kind of drug, and mingle amongst your kind. But if not DO NOT GO!! The club is outdated... Since 1942. Hot. People passed out, having sex, or doing every drug available up stairs. Security made me feel less than safe. Had to pay for parking and it wasn't even valet. If you're an average person looking for a good time don't walk through those doors I'm warning you. I got the worst vibe from this place. I would rather party in Compton. Wednesday Nights club Moscow is a lot of fun! They usually have 3-5 live bands playing from 10-1, from indie, alternative and electro, pop rock, usually pretty cool and some good talent. Alright Dj's in the main room, Keith 2.0 is the man, he runs the event and is really handsome and nice. I love him. Get friendly with him and you can get on the guest list all the time. Its around $10-$15 dollars at the door otherwise. Drinks are pricey, but that's Hollywood for ya. 18 and up, fun crowd, usually kind of scene but they're friendly, it's not a whole bunch of little kids running around either there's a pretty eclectic crowd. This place is really nice, I love the ambiance of the bar, its got mafia style booths, a nice lounge feel, wasn't crowded. Cute bartender with a trendy, hipster haircut, she was a doll. We had a wonderful conversation about the Hollywood scene over a couple Jameson double shots, she made my night. Love how it feels like a hole in the wall. There's an awesome patio out in the back, with a stage, I didn't get to see any live music, but I guess they have it all the time. As well as a club with a Dj and such in the other room next door. Lately, the bouncers have been acting like arrogant, power-hungry pricks (particularly the black guy with dreads, I didn't get his name). He has given rude comments on the appearance to some of the patrons, and didn't let my friend in for having an out-of-state ID. Whenever I order a drink, there's practically NO alcohol in it, which is ridiculous for the amount of money I'm spending. I love the atmosphere here. The staff is always friendly and attentive. They remembered what my husband and I drank from the very first time that we went there. The patio had all of the original tile work from when the place opened. It is A a great industry bar and is pretty low key. They also have the best ribs and the Mac and cheese is homemade/baked and is comparable to the food back in South Carolina. That really says a lot about the food because the south has the best food.
