Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
Vanessa R.

Came during a weekday morning so it was nice and quite. I was able to enjoy my slow morning with delicious eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll pancakes. The vegetables present in the eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked and I love that sweet potato fries are an option. The cinnamon roll pancakes are a sweet tooth's dream! They're worth sharing with the table so everyone can get their sweet treat in. Looking forward to trying more on the menu!

Best BLT ever! Also amazingly friendly staff, fast service, very attentive. The decor is kitsch, as expected there are lots of bears! But comfortable, homey, and welcoming. They were having a fundraiser while I was there for the Peace Officer Memorial Run in October. I truly appreciate a business that involves themselves in their local community. Plus the kids loved Beary - the mascot for the Sheriff's Office. Will definitely be back.

Breakfast Club Melt (760-1580 cals.)

Typical diner food. I was unimpressed with my recent Black Bear Diner visit. This chain location is very hit-or-miss with the food and service. They offer a huge selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner diner-style items. There is everything from French toast, to salads, to pies, to prime rib. I ordered the Breakfast Club Melt with loaded hash browns (an added cost for cheese and bacon bits). The sandwich was alright. The parmesan crust was nice and the eggs inside were cooked well. It just felt incredibly oily. As soon as I bit into it, grease literally seeped out. The hash browns were unfortunately pretty soggy. The added cheese and bacon, instead of adding flavor to them, just made them even soggier and greasier. My dad got biscuits and gravy for his meal and said he was disappointed too. The gravy was very runny and flavorless. I did really enjoy the orange juice though. It is freshly squeezed and is very refreshing. The food prices are relatively low so I'd say the food quality is reflective of the price. The service was fine. Nothing really spectacular. The food came out pretty quick for it being relatively busy. The idea of a bear-themed diner is incredibly cute too. Unfortunately, this location is pretty ran down. It was dirty and very loud. Although I totally understand this is by no means an upscale restaurant, I would expect the booth cushions to not be ripped open, no to be sticky tables, and no crayon marks on the walls. Because of the price and nostalgia factor (and also the bread pudding French toast), I will most likely be back, just hoping for a little better experience next time!

Delicious . Great and speedy service and it too busy for a Sunday

This is one of mine and my family's fav main chain food spots . This past Sunday we visited our neighborhood black bear for some late breakfast and I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast and it was the perfect blend for a sweet and salty cravings that were 100% filling . I was able to save half to take home for seconds. The flavor, texture, and temp was .

The food was amazing, the service was so nice and the server was so nice and friendly, the surrounding was clean and neat, genuinely loved the experience will go again.

I came here with my family for Mother's Day. I told my server named George does he have confidence in his cook and he said yes I said OK I don't eat red meat but since this Mother's Day, I'm gonna splurge can you please make sure my steak is cooked medium and he said OK so I got my steak. It was well done. I said I can't eat this, but I'm not sending it back so they did take it off my tag but it's just the whole point then. I had to ask for A1 sauce three times and then I eventually asked a different server to bring it to me. My server came back and said it was the only bottle in the house and I said OK. The server asked before end up bringing me a bottle so I have two bottles of A1 sauce what happened to it being the only bottle in the store!!!!! then I asked for the Manager. They took it off my tab then they gave me my to go containers without a bag and I said can I have my grandkids ice cream cause I got kids meals and we're getting ready to go they end up putting it in Bowl's here so we got stuck here for extra 20 minutes to eat the ice cream am I wrong? by just giving out 18% instead of 22???

We went there for breakfast, so I can't speak of their lunch and dinner, but I bet it is good, if it is anything like the care they took in preparing our breakfast. The place is sort of large, but not too big. It is clean and parking is easy. The service is very good. Our server was kind and got our food right the first time and it was all served hot. It was not crowded when we came so we were seated straight away. We ordered coffee, which was great and looked at the menu, We ordered the Grizz which is two sweet cream pancakes with 3 eggs, which I love. I am always in need of more eggs. It also came with two slices of thick-cut smoked bacon, 2 sausage links and a good sized smoked ham steak. I had to share that. It was a lot of food. It was all perfect. We also tried the Bigfoot Chicken Fried Steak with eggs. It was so great and heart attack ready if you ate that everyday. I might be able to manage it. I loved it. It was 10 oz of tender beef, breaded then deep fried and smothered in enough country gravy for dipping the great biscuits with which it comes. The biscuits are home made and amazing. It also comes with eggs. You really do have to share this as it is a lot of food. We took a little back to our hotel and it was gone in minutes, The New York steak and eggs is cooked to order just the way you want it, and I always want my meat rare. It is just wonderful. The steak was tender and it came with those wonderful biscuits and eggs. We were just so pleased. We had no room for lunch later so we skipped it. The food is the best, the service wonderful and the place cozy.

I wish I could give it a 4 this time.. I've been to black bear before and liked their food in the past, but this time I was pretty underwhelmed with my chicken avo club sandwich. The chicken tasted a little on the cold side and the sandwich just wasn't the same. The fires were good. The server was friendly, I would say attentive but she did come to the table 2 times to ask the same questions, country potatoes or hash browns, asked for hash and ended up with country lol. Didn't have the heart to tell her the order was incorrect. The flies were annoying asf too. That's all.

As usual, Black Bear Diners have almost Always made Great food, Best service, Comfortable atmosphere, and Fair Pricing! Had Linda serve us, very Awesome!

Prime rib was cold, flavorless, and not charbroiled. Potatoes cold, muffins late. Sweet waitress, but service and food need work.

Very disappointing experience! Out of Iced Tea out of Tri Tip. The server brought us our soup after we got our dinners. Turkey dinner was 2 small slices of turkey. I don't go to Black Bear Diner to listen to mariachi music.

Food is always good. Service is fast and waiters are attentive. You can ask questions about the menu and waitresses are kind and friendly to answer whatever questions you may have. The ambiance is quiet and cozy. One thing I love about this place is managers help their team there's a lady her name is Josefina and she's always helping, she even brings plates to the tables and she walk around the restaurant asking if we need anything else or if everything is fine. This is always a good choice either for early breakfast or dinner.

Staff was super friendly, went out of their way to make sure the tables were tidy, and refilled drinks really quick. The restaurant is smaller than you expect it to be, but it is cozy, friendly, and not overly loud. We only had a 10 minute wait when we arrived and they were packed. Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. When you get broccoli and carrots on the same plate and neither have a mushy texture it makes me happy Will definitely be back again in the future.

Next my chicken Marsala, sauce almost spilled off plate, tasted like squeeze lemon, chicken dry potatoes thin and grainy, just disgusting. Then unbelievably my husbands hamburger was very rare, not understood since he ordered it well. No tip after all plates over half full. We have dined there many times over the years. But the problem used to always be twice the wait we were told, every time ( that was our families joke about the place. It was dead this time, the food explained that. We are frequent eat out family, but just mid it was not. We got a discount. But $103.00 later and annoyed and still hungry, it was not worth. Never again! On there behalf, my daughter liked her desert. Good luck at lasting very much longer, with that swill. Where was a manager or host of any kind. Who is running tje place and trying to keep some integrity for their bussiness. Just a bunch of young, big eyed women overwhelmed with wasted food and with many appologies.

The vibe was super chill and inviting, especially with the live music playing. It created such a relaxed, fun atmosphere where we could just unwind and keep enjoying our time together. The staff was really nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The inside has a modern feel to it very clean, stylish, and just a really comfortable space to hang out. There are a few restaurants that share the parking so there is very limited parking. We had to go around twice to find a parking spot. We had reservations and were sat promptly. They had live music playing in the background, which is nice. We couldn't see it so I didn't know where they were at. It is designed in a circular way where the bar is in the middle so you cannot see across. We were greeted by our server and he was very attentive. He gave us some great recommendations and he was very pleasant. We started with the fig bruschetta and that was a 10 out of 10. It had little bacon bits on top which added a layer of flavor. We also had the spinach and artichoke crab dip, which was 10 out of 10. We added extra crostinis which is recommended. For a drink, I had the Cosmo, which was nice and refreshing. I also had a taste of the Old Glory and that was a nice refreshing twist on the old-fashioned, which was recommended by our server. I had the Calabrian Chile Shrimp Scampi over pappardelle pasta and it was the 10 out of 10. The layers of flavor with the capers, lemon, bacon and spice was perfect! I tried a piece of the crusted halibut, which was very moist and flavorful as well as the salmon. All was great on flavor. For dessert we had the brownie with vanilla ice cream, which is a huge brownie. I would say it's good for four people. I also tried the apple pie cheesecake which was very good and the mixed berry crumble that tasted fresh. I ordered an espresso martini to try it and it looked a little messy on the glass. As for taste, I felt like the Vodka drowned out the espresso notes. 6/10 As mentioned, our server was very friendly and attentive however he did fail to bring ice water when requested, but overall great experience .

When we got to the table, we noticed there were only two plates for our party of three. We asked for an additional plate, he said he would bring one, but then never came back. We had to ask another nearby server if one could be grabbed for us. They grabbed the plate from a stack that was literally two feet away from our table. This was frustrating because what could have been a five second task turned into an inconvenience for us as well as another staff member. Even after we got our food, we were annoyed with the server. We needed drink refills and it felt like he was deliberately ignoring us. There was a group of four young men (around the server's age) who kept ordering rounds of beer sitting at the table next to us. The server kept only going back to that table and helping them out. He would look directly at our table, and then go back to chat with the one next to us. When we were finally able to flag him down for drink and bread refills, he walked away and brought us neither. When he came back to our section, he went straight back to that other table. We asked him a second time for the refills and he acted like we had never received the request in the first place. He also never cleared our table. Usually, when the main dishes came out, the server would take the small plates and remove empty cups and bread baskets. We were left with the empty trays and plates which made our table feel super crowded and dirty. Despite this really annoying service, the food was really good. The kitchen never misses here. I ordered the beef tips, loaded mashed potatoes, and a Caesar salad. The meat was super tender and everything was very flavorful. This evening it was bustling and crowded as usual. It was a little rowdy but nothing unexpected. Hopefully next time will be better!

Immediately, you notice the food truck is nicely decorated and visually appealing, the Grizzly bear featured very prominently. The name of the place doesn't give away the food, so for anyone wondering, they do burgers, chicken tenders, and chicken sandwiches. They also have the word Burgers visible on the outside of the truck. We were first in line and our order was promptly taken and the workers were all very friendly and seemed genuinely excited to greet and serve me. I opted for the double grizzly bite and I asked for jalapeños on it. It was a good choice! Very delicious and extremely filling, you won't be disappointed. Huge burger. I also enjoyed the side of fries, but for an additional $3, not sure that I enjoyed them well enough to justify the extra $3, for something that's normally included. Quick suggestion there: offer an optional seasoning or something that makes the fries pop and I think they would go a lot further! My wife ordered the chicken tenders with fries. She got 4 tenders and said they had great flavor and the fries were good. We had to ask for ranch on the side, but there were no issues there! All in all, 5/5 stars. Will definitely try them again!
