Quite pricy but the soup dumplings and crystal shrimp dumplings were worth it. Convenient location for the fall farmer's market

What I enjoyed about Yo more than a place like Dumpling District (very similar in menu) was the quality and vibes of the service and atmosphere. The servers were very helpful to explain the dishes to my family members who needed some help. The food hit! The Spicy dry noodles are definitely what drew me to come here and they did not disappoint. My kids loved the pork chops. The seafood soup was loaded! The flavors were exceptional. And for as much food as we order, the price was pretty reasonable! We look forward to our next visit!

For example, the Panfried Pork Bun used to be my favorite item here but they've changed the recipe significantly. The pork filling used to be a lot larger and juicier...but now when you break open the bun, the filling is so small that half of the bun doesn't even have any meat. 80% of the bun is just dough and it's not fried well and quite greasy. Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.

We chose a couple of dim sum items and then ordered the rest off the menu. Cart food: shrimp dumplings were amazing, using whole shrimp in the dumpling, pork dumpling was hot and good. I was disappointed in the sesame bean balls, they were not fresh but I still ate them. The fresh cooked food was terrific. The pork, duck and half chickens were all hot and very fresh. My favorite is the red roast pork. We order a couple platters and they are always demolished. The chow fun was ok, thought the noodles were a bit too mushy. The rest of the dishes were good. Everyone enjoyed all the food. We needed many takeout containers. Service was very good. They have pitchers of water that were always refilled. We have lots of water drinkers in our group. Overall, everything was great and I think this is a really reliable spot for good dim sum!

I was here twice over the last two months. The first time, I ordered off the regular menu. The second time, I did the AYCE dim sum/tapas. Obviously, ordering a la carte, you'll get larger portions. It was all fantastic. The server was attentive and friendly. Dishes came out lightning fast. And the food itself was stellar! I'll let the photos speak for themselves. You can't go wrong here, especially if you're getting one of the AYCE specials (there's a similar one at Mama Chang's). I want to note though, three of the dishes have the same flavor profile, just different main ingredients: spicy dry fish, spicy dry cauliflower, and dry fried spicy eggplant. They use dry fried red chili and ground Szechuan peppercorn. If you like this, great! Just know it's the same seasoning across these dishes. I didn't take photos of everything, but if it's braised pork xxxx, get it! I will gladly return to this location or Mama Chang's for another AYCE adventure.

However, despite its name, I didn't find the dish spicy at all. I also felt it could've used more seasoning, as the flavors were milder than I expected. - Cumin Spicy Diced Lamb ($13): This was my favorite dish. The lamb was tender, the cumin flavor really stood out, and it actually had the level of spice I was hoping for. - Vegan Szechuan Cold Noodles ($7): I've had this dish at other restaurants and usually love it, but this version was disappointing. It arrived warm instead of cold, so I refrigerated it overnight. By the next day, the noodles had become too firm, and the Szechuan flavors were very subtle. This may just be one of those dishes that's better enjoyed fresh in the restaurant rather than delivered. One thing to note is that rice isn't included with the entrées. I forgot to add rice to my order, but the restaurant kindly included some anyway, which I really appreciated.

Places like this always have secret things you can do with the menu, but we just couldn't get to that conversation. So we were forced into ordering two giant helpings of the same dumpling. One was a basic pork one, I think, and the other was a soup dumpling. The regular dumplings were pretty good. Soft exteriors, plenty of filling within, very good. There was a good chili crisp on the table that accentuated everything, too. The soup dumplings were also pretty good. The ones that didn't rip into pieces as we tried to pick them up anyway. We ultimately enjoyed our meal and will likely try it again the next time we need a change of pace from our go-to spot. The menu possesses a vast array of rolls, the majority of which hover between $15-18. Seeing the prices of the rolls and not knowing what to expect, we ended up ordering six, which ended up as too much food for the two of us. We found the rolls all well constructed and with generous quantities of the fish. The rice itself was passable. The sliced fish quality was decent, and we found the salmon and tuna particularly fresh. The "spicy" fish in the rolls left something to be desired in both the degree of spice/seasoning as well as freshness. The rolls all could have used a bit more saucing, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The prices here are very reasonable, especially if you order online which yields a 10% discount. My order was prepared more or less on time. Overall, we liked what we sampled and will return in the near future to sample more rolls. Hostess barely looked happy to see us, and if that wasn't a sign, the food sealed it. Sushi was crusty, dried out, weirdly gray - honestly, you'd expect fresher from a gas station shelf. Chef at the sushi station was glued to his phone, blasting what sounded like a personal playlist so loud you could catch the rhythm from across the buffet. Wasabi was chalky and ginger looked days old. Soy sauce? Evaporating. Buffet choices were super slim, mainly shrimp. Beef and chicken stir fry didn't look worth the plate space. Two kinds of fried wings in total, which didn't help. Another staff had their phone volume maxed out, so the noise never stopped. Salad bar was a sad scene; brown edges and limp leaves, with dressings crusted over like they'd been sitting since breakfast. Forget the dessert section and fruit; nothing looked tempting. Soup looked so neglected, you'd swear it belonged in a donation bin. Ice cream was worse; just tough lemon and a chocolate that didn't pass the smell test. Only highlight? The hibachi chef hustled to make shrimp, and eggs feel freshly cooked, even if the supplies were running dry. The green tea was decent. But with sticky walls and greasy windows, it's hard not to feel like the place quit on cleanliness a while ago. At least our server has a smile. Takeaway: Skip this spot, unless you're real desperate for hibachi shrimp and don't mind a rundown vibe. This one's for folks who think food court sushi is gourmet.

The service in the bar was surprisingly good, despite the bar itself being pretty crowded and nearly every table around it being populated. The food was served quickly and they allowed us to customize to our liking (TIP: pay the nominal upcharge to replace your existing side dish to Brussels sprouts with bacon and spiced pecans! Or get it as a side to share) I had the Hickory Grilled Hanger Steak with mashed potatoes and a field greens salad, except no potatoes. The salad was amazing (it has dates in it for a sweetness to balance the sour of the dressing) and the medium rare steak was phenomenal. We each had a glass of beer -- the Pale Face Summer Wheat on draft. It is a classic German Hefeweizen and described as "malty with banana and clove flavors." I tested the banana on my first sip. It was a solid choice. The next day, we worked a 15 hour day without stopping to eat. By the time we finished, we were so tired that we agreed to return. I ordered the same steak and my coworker followed my recommendation. He agreed that this is the steak to order. (even if he ordered his more well done than mine). For the second visit, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert instead of beer with dinner. I suggest splitting the dessert. Don't get me wrong, it was fantastic, but was definitely shareable after a full steak meal.
