Ugh. Why my friends continue to drag me to this place i'll never understand. Slow service, an annoyingly loud jukebox usually pumping out crap music, and mediocre food. Maybe if you could still smoke here it might have a certain appeal, but really unless you're drunk and literally physically unable to move your body to another place to eat and sober up I'd recommend going anywhere else for your fix of greasy-spoon food. There is a certain novelty to getting a twelve egg omelet, but seriously, getting a huge quantity of Meh served on a pizza pan doesn't change how amazingly meh your meal is. I'm not grinding an axe, i'm just trying to figure out what the draw of this place is. All of my friends always want to meet up there and it boggles, yes BOGGLES, my mind. read more

Open 24/7 and great for late night eats. Came here for breakfast on the weekend and there was a line out the door. Waited for less than 30 minutes. The interior of this establishment is lined with drawings from customers. It's a basic diner with a hipster twist. The food is huge and tastes pretty darn good. Ordered the six egg omelet and the country fried steak and wow....just amazingly wow. Can't beat the price either! read more

First of all, no sane person generally goes to Beth's for the food or the service. It works best for night owls and stoners with the munchies, which is NOT a put down at all. In that realm, Beth's succeeds marvelously. You get the feeling anything could happen here: whispered mafia dealings, negotiations between pimps and whores, a starving artist creating a masterpiece or, more commonly, groups of friends shooting the shit in the early hours as the coffee and bottomless hashbrowns keep pouring in. Screw around with the crayons, enjoy the variety of art on display, chow down on some hashbrowns with Tabasco and share a conversation you'll remember (or not) for the rest of your life. May Beth's grease never scrub clean! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place! Beth's is your typical good ol' greasy spoon breakfast establishment. We usually end up coming here after a good night of drinking and needing a mound or 12 of eggs and hashbrowns. As you probably already know, they offer their omelettes in two sizes, 6 and 12 egg style. Even on my hungriest days I can't put down the 6 egg, so beware. I usually settle with the country-fried steak (not to be confused with chicken-fried steak) and eggs. Always a solid choice. All in all, good spot for a good old-fashioned breakfast. If you come during the weekends you will probably be waiting awhile and make sure you ask for some paper and crayon to contribute to the walls. read more

What can I say about Beth's? Well for starters, it's dirty, greasy, has had to close a couple of times because of grease-fires, and is the scourge of every health-inspector in the county. But, the food is delicious, cheap, comes in mountanous portions and will kill any potential hangover that you may have installed after spending an entire night drinking questionable concoctions (Many a night I've been thankfull for being open 24 hours). But more than that, any place that the staff doesn't blink twice when someone like me walks in, covered in blood from a Murder City Devils/Zeke show (some psycho got a little happy in the audience with a straight razor), and will serve me- I like....a lot. While not worth going out of your way for, if you find yourself spending a few days in Seattle, it' should be included on your "must-go" list. Especially if you've tied more than one on. read more

Beth's is to Denny's what Rudy's is to Supercuts. Beth's has a hip, edgy, grunge, arthouse vibe with all the workers sporting mulitple tattoos and patron art adorning the walls. The interior has a lot of "character" having been opened for so long. Their menu has a lot of choices and combinations, it's a little confusing, but in the end it is nothing special: the usual omelets, scrambles, pancakes, french toast, etc along with the usual lunch/dinner burgers, sandwiches, and fries. Their omlets come in two sizes: 6 eggs or 12 eggs, nothing in between or less. If you don't want that many eggs, you can order a 3 egg scramble or a mini-breakfast. Most meals come with all you can hash browns and another starch. If you do opt for eggs for breakfast, be warned you cannot get egg whites or low cholesterol option, so be sure to take your lipitor befroe coming! Just like Denny's, the restaurant is open 24 hours, but unlike Denny's, everything on the menu is available all day. The prices are alright, I ordered a ham scramble, short stack, and ice tea all for $20 with tax and tip. The portion sizes were good, I didn;t get a chance to ask for more hash browns, nor did I feel the need to. I left very full. Service was a little below average. My ice tea was promptly refilled before my order arrived, but after it arrived, the waitress disappeared until I was done with my meal , ice tea, and water. So overall, nothing really special other than the hours of operation and the fact that you can put your artwork on the walls after your meal. read more

The only time I go to Beth's is when my brother-in-law visits from Portland. Years and years ago he (and my sister) lived in Seattle, and my brother-in-law and his best friend would go to Beths and drink coffee, smoke cigarettes and wax philosophic about life while coloring with crayons. It seems, much like my brother-in-law, Beths clings on to what it used to be. Even though people haven't been allowed to smoke inside for years it still has the grime of years of nictotine. And the food hasn't become better or worse over the years, and neither has the service. read more

Party of 4 for breakfast (not hung over so maybe their food is better after a night of debauchery???) Wait 20 minutes for a table and already looked at the menu so we knew what we wanted when we sat down yet it took another 15 for them to take our order. I ordered a coffee and normally I like a lot of milk but as the milk is just left there from one party to another on the table (not refrigerated or anything) I didn't take my chances and had it black with an S*** ton of sugar...so strike number one for the weird decision to leave milk out on the table instead of bring it as needed. For my meal I had the breakfast burrito...which was a soggy, bland disappointment....It said it came with jalapenos...I ate about 2/3 of the burrito and NOT ONCE did I come across a jalapeno...my boyfriend took a bite of the remaining burrito when I was full and the thing falls apart revealing 5 slices of jalapeno that must have all been crammed in the bottom end of the burrito....my bad, there was no label saying which side to start eating on. I will give them credit they have tasty hash browns...but that's all I enjoyed on my plate. My boyfriend had an omelette of some kind....his response was "It's food"...so generally that means it's nothing great, but again he also really liked the hash browns. My boyfriends mom had biscuits & gravy. The gravy was very good and the biscuits were smothered in it so I thought it was a little odd at first that she would ask for butter...then she said despite all of the gravy the biscuit itself was very dry...after one taste for myself it was completely clear...that had to be the WORST biscuit I've ever had!!! NO AMOUNT OF GRAVY OR BUTTER COULD SAVE THIS THING!!! The last order was a breakfast combo meal (eggs, hashbrowns and sausage or something)...again same scenario as my boyfriend "It's food and the hash browns were worth noting". Don't think I would go here again, and I guess that proves A LOT of sub par food isn't necessarily better than less good food...The portions may be big, but if it's not enjoyable to eat does it really matter?? Oh as to the crew, everyone was very friendly and that's probably a saving grace here. read more

You have to love this place....the servers are kick back, no frills and full of attitude & sass! Food wise it's your typical diner food....it's mediocre, but you go here for the late night drunkeness and the ambiance. The walls are covered in pictures drawn by patrons. Some will have sayings like "I F***ed DJ Hyperfunk" or others will just have wierd cartoons that have "I LOVE BETH's" in a bubble. read more

Been coming here since I was in highschool. Its been over 7 years and its only gotten better. You truly arent a real Washingtonian if you have not been to Beths. Close your eyes and pick anything on the menu, and you'll be surprised with how good everything is. Their ENDLESS supply of hashbrowns is one of the best reasons why this place is always 5/5. Crisp and crunch on the outside, buttery and soft on the inside. The staff are always down to earth - chill, and love to have a good time. It truly is a hole in the wall type of place with great food. Beths always supply you with paper and crayons to pass the time. Its being able to feel like a kid while being an adult. No matter what time it is, beths has everything covered. read more

Oh Beth's. You are my savior. My savior from what might turn out to be "The Worst Hangover EVAR (tm)" Your hash browns covered in cheese and veggies and whatever the heck else you put on them put me in the best mood after a long night. I came here sober the other night, and it was still amazing. It's honestly breakfast food like my horrifically diabetic Southern grandmother used to make. But she ate it every day. No wonder she met her untimely demise. Beth's is so not good for you, but it's SO good. It's worth the ridiculously scary amounts of calories and crazy artery cloggingness. The servers are great too, and I love that they have the freedom to tell d-bags to hit the road. In general, this place is always a good time, and I'm glad that Gwen made me go with her that one time a couple of years back. read more

I love Beth's Cafe. Have been here a couple times and it's a really nice, relaxed breakfast (anytime) place to go for good food. I love their hot chocolate, bagel sandwich, and hash browns. Friendly service, great location, and again I love the food. This is such a cute place, too, with crayon drawings covering the walls. I don't think I've ever had much of a wait for a table, maybe one time. I'm pretty sure I've also had a milkshake here before and loved that too but I do not remember the flavor. If I lived nearby I would go here a lot. read more

For what it is, Beth's Cafe is pretty much unfuckwitatable. To note: it's a 24 hour open city diner with it's claim to fame being 12 egg omelets. To elaborate: I've been here twice so far in two totally different scenarios and haven't been disappointed. The first time was in the middle of a weekend night with my friend, dead drunk after clubbing Downtown. The place was delightfully busy considering its hour, but not too crowded, and the service was awesome, and the food on point (I ordered a giant omelet). The second time was more recently (and more sober) with my girlfriend, and we both arrived on a weekend afternoon with breakfast food in mind. It was almost empty this time, but same applies; awesome service, awesome food (and AWESOME raspberry jam!) and I really liked the ambiance with the customer submitted artwork (really just likely drunkenly drawn crayon drawings) all over the walls. I really got a kick out of the 'bear in the strip club' crayon drawing. This place is legit. Whether you're drunk with your friend or in the mood for breakfast for dinner with your girlfriend, check it out. read more

I don't see what there is to complain about when it comes to Beth's, unless you were promised a steak dinner at the Metro Grill and were dropped here instead. First to address the nay sayers: yes, if you show up anytime on the weekend, or in the mornings or late nights of a weekday, you are going to probably wait (would they have a wait/line if the place was bad? No.). Yes, your server is probably going to be wearing jeans and a megadeth shirt; so what! Yes, the walls are covered in crayon artwork that was more than likely produced under the influence. Stop trying to rank Beth's with Denny's, because Beth's is in a league of it's own. Yes, parking is a problem because yes, the place is located in the city, and across from Green Lake (I take the 358 there, so parking is no problem!). Ok, nay sayer bashing over. Their food = BOMB. I can not get enough of their Southwest Exposure omelet. It's like somebody came up to me and said, "Randy, what would you like in your omelet?", and I responded "chili, sour cream, salsa, and cheese please. Oh yes, and can I have a side of hash browns that flows like a river? Thanks." Do I usually take my dry nonfat cappuccino with a little splenda in it? Naturally. But do I drink gallons of Beth's joe with cream and straight sugar? YOU BET! As I alluded to before, Beth's is not the fanciest place in the world, but they provide a fun atmosphere with a strong sense of community and amazing food. They raised their prices over the summer a titch, but who cares. Keep it up, Beth's! You haven't been around for 54 years for nothing! read more

The only reason I would ever go back here is to cheer someone on trying to eat the 12 egg omelette. The food is average on a good day, and the service sucks. Plus, I had to basically clean my silverware myself before using it. Further to that, if you are going to attempt the 12 egg omelette challenge, don't be fooled into thinking you will win a shirt or a free meal. Nope! That was all made up for the show. As a matter of fact, they really don't even acknowledge that you may be trying to beat 'Man vs Food', and do not give any credit to the show that, in my opinion, has kept this place going. read more

Beth's never disappoints! Excellent food! HUGE portions! Friendly service! Fun quirky environment. I have eaten at this Seattle icon several times and left each time happy. The 6 fiddy shake is to die for and HUGE! I've had breakfast and lunch entrees and always loved everything I ordered. The colored pages along the walls are like bits of Seattle history. There are even a couple from my kids and I. I've had to wait for a table before, but I'm not complaining! It's worth the wait. The staff is always friendly and smiling and so fast. The cooks are spot on! Fast, accurate and YUMMY! I love the fact that employees are a great depiction of Seattle residents. Being a business that is proud of our beautiful city and our eclectic community and people is important to me. Bottom line we love Beth's cafe!!! Highly recommended! read more

Just before 5am, before the cute guy at the grill yells "brick!", may be the best time to visit Beth's. I sat at the bar, of course, by myself but among friends. Griddle Guy caught the brick, which really did look like a black brick, but i could tell it wasn't as heavy or nearly as hard as a real brick. It turns out that GG used it to clean up the Beth's griddle. He dragged it across the griddle top drenched with oil, using its porous surface to burnish that beautiful cast iron hot plate. I will not forget that metal scraping sound, less twangy than a knife against a sharpener, and more palatable than the obnoxious sound of fingernails across a blackboard. Eerily, for the next 15 minutes or so, no new customers entered the joint. It's as if GG knew precisely when that 5am lull would begin and end. Finally, a few new customers (sporting bathrobes and pajamas, mind you) popped in, and just as dawn spawns a new day, GG was finishing up his final polish. Armed with spatula, butter grease, and two slices of perfectly absorbent white bread, he assuredly resurrects the mighty altar--and the daily march continues. So, why all the detail, metaphors? Irrelevant hyperbole you say? Well, at Beth's there's not much to say about the food or the atmosphere or the people or the customers. While Beth's itself might be a hyperbole, everything about it is just perfect. What you might miss are the little routine details that keep bringing us those hash browns, omelets, and for me, that crispy-soft-sweet special waffle. Go there, but beware the lull. You wouldn't want to disturb the genesis of this most important Eos on Aurora. read more

So my experience here was overall pretty good, besides finding a parking spot, as they don't seem to have their own parking lot. Once we found one though, we were good to go in, as the sign on the door says your whole party must be present to get seated. We walked in, and I really liked the ambiance. The customer drawings plastered everywhere on the walls adds some character, and it seems that drawing your own would be a good way to wait for your meal. I ordered the Triple Bypass omelette to share, only the six egg one though. Now the omelette itself was very good: Bacon, ham, sausage, wrapped in eggs served on hash browns (Which by the way are all you can eat). I was surprised at the size of the omelette, it took up the whole plate, and that's just the half size of the full twelve egg version. So I had half of the omelette, and it really filled me up, I didn't feel hungry again up until dinner. Beth's Cafe is a nice place, if a little far from me. The service is great, every time a waitress came by and she had coffee with she'd top of the mug of coffee we had. I would definitely return, and would also recommend this place to a friend. read more

Food is ok. Hard to say no to unlimited hashbrowns. Service is $hit. Didn't mind the wait for the table; place is very popular and often busy. But as the waiters continued to help other people (taking orders from those who came after us) AND clean the tables around us on top of it... we just got up and left. It wasn't until we got up the girl frantically offered to take our order. Wasn't even apologetic or nice about it. Rather unfortunate since my fiance was fond of the owner and the food. read more

I decided to give Beth's Cafe a try after hearing about all the hype around it, plus it was already 4:30am and I was really out of options for places to go (Oh Seattle you sleep way too early). And since my group went at such an awkward time when it was too late for most drunkards to keep roaming the streets for drunk food and too early for others to get up for breakfast, we didn't have to wait for a table, but my party of 3 still waited about half an hr for our food to come up. My giant plate of food was impressive in its size but still disappointed in its quality. Everything was in huge portions (we had the 6-egg omelet with loads of hash brown spilling out on the side, sweet potato waffle fries, and some english muffin burger thing my friends ordered I forgot), and I was so excited to try the omelets since that's what Beth's is known for. However, I must say that the omelet was rather disgusting, even though I was already not so picky about my food since I was borderline delirious at 5:30AM. The waffle fries and hash brown weren't bad, but the omelet was way too salty and I downed 3 cups of water while trying to finish about 1/4 of the omelet. My friends convinced me to box the rest (majority) of my plate home even though the thought of taking in that much salt again made me want to puke (but I did heat the left overs about 2 days later when I was desperate, and it wasn't bad). The atmosphere reminded me of a semi-meth lab/basement after a night of teenagers' beerfest. Everyone working in the Cafe, though, seemed pretty friendly and chill (but a bit oblivious). read more

By far my favorite place to go to get a HUGE omelet! When I say HUGE I am not lying, I can never finish my 6 egg omelet. Me and my girlfriend love this place, a ton of food for a great price! If you come to Seattle you HAVE to try beths! You will not be disappointed. read more

roll all kinds of breakfast items up in a tasty tortilla and dredge in a little hot sauce and sour cream and i'm good for the whole day! fantabulous breakfast burrito (i got the veggie with eggs of course). i like the waitstaff style where there are several servers and you have no gd clue who's waiting on ya, but there is always someone fillin' up the cup 'o coffee (or hot water for me tea in my case). good pics on the walls...i can't draw to save me life...but probably could if the best picture got me a free meal...hmm...here's some marketing for ya Beth's... read more

Heard chatter from my friends in the Seattle area about this Beth's Cafe business and how they had amazing 12 egg omelettes and such. During a trip up there for a wedding a whole group of us found our way to Beth's. The wait was about 30 min on a nice Friday morning. The combination of an unheard of omelette along with my insatiable appetite for winning the smallest of challenges had me order the 12 egg Full House omelette over hash browns... As I sit patiently I am told several times that there is a surcharge for people sharing. Some friends of mine (who had no faith in me mind you) waited to have me fail so they can descend on the leftovers...probably smart of them. I am detracted by the interesting wall coverings of crayon inspired drawings from children. The Full House is served to me on what looked like a metal pizza pan platter...golden brown hash browns under a very tasty looking breakfast staple of eggs, ham, mushroom and American cheese....I want to say I finished it but as fate would have its way with me this did not happen. I was about 2/3rds the way done before I was gastronomically limited. My friends that did not order gambled well... It made for a rough evening...let me tell you...and my friends will have that story till the end of time. read more

Oh, Beth's, how I've loved thee. Sometimes you just want a cup of coffee, homestyle greasy food, and a cigarrette. While you can't anymore have the latter (since the smoking ban went into effect) Beth's is still a great place for some old-fashioned gnoshing with a new-fashioned crowd. I've never had anything but friendly service, a full coffee cup, and observant service here, and was glad to see that that didn't change after an older, more family-oriented clientelle started showing up. There's a change, though, that old-school Beth's fans will want to take note of: instead of the typical late-night waits - which started Beth's "we don't seat you 'til your whole party's here" policy - you'll now have to stand around on weekend mornings, drumming your fingers until the old ladies decide that they're ready to leave. While frustrating for the die-hards, at least they're still getting SOME sort of business! In short, I go to Beth's when I'm in the mood for grease and a laid-back atmosphere. These pierced-up 'punks' are as friendly and down-to-earth as anyone else, and I've even set some play-dates for the manager's and my dogs. Remember: you can't always tell how good a book is by its cover, and the atmosphere at Beth's doesn't indicate the worth of the food and people inside. read more

AWESOME! Huge omelets. Great tasting food and homemade bread. Most of all the staff. They work so well together. Our sever was the best I have had in years. I forgot to get her name but she was the best. Old school place and not modern. My kind of place. read more

Classic diner open 24 hours. If Beth's wasn't open all night, I'd probably never go there. But they are and that is important to me. This place is always fun due to the fact that it's a weirdo magnet. I also have a boner for anyplace with original vintage decor. The food? You know, it's typical greasy, American diner food. But if you have a hankering for that, it hits the spot. Never had any complaints about the service which is fast and friendly enough. The beauty of Beth's is that it remains true to itself. I brought my 52 year old hippie geezer friend in a few months ago and he smiled like a little kid on Christmas and said, "Holy Shit! This place hasn't changed at ALL in 20 years." Apparently, all through his young adulthood, weirdos gathered at Beth's for cheap eats and good conversation. Kinda like now. In my book, that certainly counts for something! read more

A few words.... Drunk wants greasy food = Beth's Cafe Tables sticky. Bathroom dirty. Employees hit or miss. I have been there several times and always received bad services, whether it's busy on a weekend or dead in mid week. I only went there because it was close to my house. Don't waste your money here I rather go to IHOP! read more

I happily purchased a pack of Tums's after my brunch here with Ritz We were visiting Seattle, and knew we had to make a pit stop here for Sunday brunch. We saw the food challenge on TV., and wanted to see what this place was all about. We waited about 45 minutes for a table, because the place was jam packed. It's not a huge restaurant either, and the cooks are cooking in the middle of the restaurant. We ordered the Southwestern Exposure with the 12 eggs which had chili, salsa, sour cream and cheddar cheese. When we got our order, the omelet looked like a volcano with sour cream and chili dripping down over a huge pile of hash browns. This meal could feed me for a days! We both took stabs, and Ritz was the one that finished it! I had to honorably discharge myself after 15 minutes into it. The staff was funny as the cooks were jokingly talking smack to each other while cooking. Overall, a fun experience. This place is also opened 24 hours! read more

I think initially why I liked this place so much was because it was hyped up. The food is what everyone says it is, a good breakfast! Then after a couple times eating here, I realized how dirty everything actually is and it never appealed to me to drive all the way deep in Seattle to eat here after a while. It's one of those places that are great to try once or if you're hungry late at night since it's open 24/7, but not worth it if you have breakfast places around you. Food: The portions are generous AF. The 6/12 egg omelets are a fun challenge to do with a friend or on a date and it's actually a really good meal here. I also love ordering the Amish friendship bread. The menu is pretty big here, so it's safe to stick to what ya know or be adventurous. read more

Every time I drive by, there's always people waiting outside. While the wait seems daunting, it wasn't too bad. Our table of four waited about 10-15 minutes at about 1PM on a Sunday. The atmosphere is a diner, with hand colored drawings all over the wall. Some of them are offensive (I'm lookin' at you, R. Kelly pancakes!), so don't let your kids stare for more than a few seconds. In fact, just have them color and look at their own paper. Seeing as how every customer in the joint was at least 18, and at minimum 50% either hungover or stoned, the restaurant isn't really meant for kids anyway. The food is perfect for some hang over grubbin. Greasy, large portions of typical diner food get dropped off in front of you, and your food coma begins. Don't expect the same server- mine switched three times. I quickly learned to just grab the next server I saw if I needed coffee. We ordered three omelets (6 egg each, since we all couldn't agree on fillings to split a 12-egger), the country fried steak and eggs, and the waffle with blueberries and strawberries. Omelets- my plain cheese one was awesome- plenty of cheese and well throughout. The other two omelet eaters complained it was so much egg vs. filling, and all the filling was just in the middle, so by the time they got to an edge, it was just egg. Good fillings though; bacon was good and cheddar was good. Chicken fried steak was the hidden gem. At only $10 (cheaper than our omelets), this puppy came crispy and delicious. The sourdough toast was also great, and fluffier than normal bread that you're used to being served at breakfast joints. I do not recommend the waffle for a meal, but rather for dessert. They SMOTHER that thing in toppings, so it's not really a crispy waffle, but a gooey cheap version of a bread pudding. I'd give this place 3 stars if I was expecting something grandiose, but I wasn't, because I was walking into a DINER. Due to ratings and their TV exposure, some people may think they deserve Ritz-Carlton service with a Holiday Inn price tag. It's greasy, good food. That's it. read more

When they give you the menu, they also give you some paper and crayons so you can draw a picture and hang it on the wall. In fact, the walls are covered with various pictures of all sorts...all drawn by adults. My favorite was a picture of a salt and pepper shaker with a bottle of Tobasco titled "The Three Amigos". Um....yeah, there's food here to, mostly of the breakfast variety. Very tasty and HUGE proportion sizes. Do not come here if you are on a diet. read more

First thing first, food is sub-par. Came in here with a friend and waited 45 minutes for a table. Had to try it though because it's world famous Beth's right?? People who had gotten there way after were sat before us. We finally get seated, I order corned beef hash, my friend orders biscuits and gravy. They lose our tickets.... THEY LOSE OUR TICKETS. Were sitting there for ANOTHER forty five minutes. They refill my coffee once. Were thinking it's been so long because of the crowd so we ask if there's a hold up. She returns telling is the tickets gone. We get our sub par food. Nothing is comp'd. Fuck Beth's. read more

Beth's is a grimy 24 diner that's been a staple of late night eats in the Seattle area for over 50 years. You can have an excellent experience or a terrible one depending on your expectations and knowledge so let me drop some on you. 1. The wait is terrible during prime time, and prime time is 2-4 AM on Friday and Saturday nights. If you come during normal breakfast hours or any other time of day it's usually quite reasonable. 2. The food is thoroughly mediocre with the exception of the omelets. The best omelet is the Makin Bacon 3. The service often sucks, it's part of the experience, embrace it, don't resent it. Once your food is dropped off, good luck seeing your server again for 30 minutes, so if you're planning on taking them up on those unlimited hash browns that come with the omelet, make sure to let them know you want an extra plate of Browns as your ordering. read more

Beth's café is one of those places that you can always go to! Why, they are open 24/7 - Unfortunately. The food is sweaty, overly-greasy and lacking quality just as the kitchen is dirty, the wait-staff are frighteningly kind, considering their appearance - I thought I might require a visible tattoo, piercing, scar or some other self inflicted deformity to gain admittance, but no . . . all patron's welcome. Again, this would be a demerit. "For God's Sake! Don't touch anything in there, less you catch something!" - quote from party standing in line behind me. In my younger days I admit eating there on several occasions, but I was young and foolish, as there will be no shortage of that in the near future, Beth's Café will be a staple for generations to come! read more

I dined here on Saturday, May 30th. The wait time was about 20 minutes or so. They make you either stand outside or in this VERY cramped stuffy "game room" while you are waiting for your table. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. The only thing I cared for were the eggs. The hash browns were VERY greasy and tasted like old cooking oil. Maybe that's why they advertise "all you can eat" hash browns. That would be an ideal concept if they were actually good!! The coffee was not good at all. I was told by many native Seattleites that I had to try this place. Well, I've tried it and I can say I've tried it, but NOT impressed at all!! Denny's has better breakfasts and they are also open 24 hours!! read more

I haven't been to Beth's in many years. I definitely haven't been to Beth's after it was featured on Man versus Food, which is why, I'm guessing, there are so many people complaining about waiting for a table. I frequented Beth's in the mid 2000s and am still nostalgic for the hashbrowns there. After living on the east coast for a bit, where all the diners only have "home-fries" instead of hashbrowns, I couldn't wait to go eat some thinly cut pan fried potatoes. The servers were nice when they were in good moods, otherwise they were total pricks. And I loved it. That is the Beth's experience. Weird people, huge omeletts and no apologies greasy and heart attack inducing entrees. I also always enjoyed asking the servers stupid questions to see what kind of lip they'd give me. French dip? No. Burger dip. When do you close? Christmas. Before the smoking ban took effect in Seattle, Beth's had a great non-smoking section. It was a single table! At the time I smoked. When the table next to us complained that we were smoking in the non-smoking section, the waiter yelled out "You ARE the non-smoking section." If you can't like Beth's, then you just don't get it. Or, you probably aren't from around here and work at Amazon. They'll never understand. Don't know how much the place has changed, but here's a five-star review. Thanks for the memories. read more

Came in to see what the fuss was about... Comparing it to its rival butter biscuit... First impression not so good. The place just feels dirty like your sitting in grunge... I really felt like the walls needed to be washed down & painted & I wanted to take a Clorox wipe everywhere. I was really hoping the food would overcompensate for this. I just kept thinking I hope their kitchen is cleaner! Service was slow.. I enjoyed looking at all the drawings however based on reviews I thought we would be encouraged to draw or be informed of a story behind them... Nothing of that sort happened. Ok now the food... Nothing to get excited about in my opinion. Just tasted mediocre to me. Now I wrote the first half of this review before my food came. After eating my food I noticed a hair in my orange juice. I'm pissed because I should have followed my gut instinct in noticing this place is dirty. I felt it was way over priced... I would put this in the same category as ihop. I'll never eat there again. Burned hash browns, hair in my food, bland tasting, over priced, dirty dirty atmosphere. I'll pass. read more

Staff were very pleasant even dealing with rowdy drunks. We got there around 3am and waited for about 30 mins. Once seated, our order was quickly taken. Milk Shakes all around came very quickly. Food shortly there after. Too bad someone couldn't handle their liquor and barfed in the sink and outside lol. But staff were still courteous when I told them someone up-chucked in the bathroom. It was taken care of very quickly and everything ran as normal. Good going to the staff that works that late night early morning shift! read more

You want to get here early! This place is really small and fills up quickly! You have to try the 12 egg omelet that comes with bottomless hash browns, if you go, even if you don't think you can eat it all (they do let you share it). Parking can be difficult to find since it is street parking. read more

See all

It was ok. Not great - just ok. I ordered the standard egg and bacon breakfast. You do get a lot of food for the price. Our server really didn't pay too much attention to us. Oh and pllllllleeeease fix the coffee. It was watery and just all awful. read more
