I always make an effort to come here whenever I'm in Seattle. We used to love coming here when we lived in Seattle and would bring friends and family visiting us. The place is exactly how I remembered it and the service is just as great. They're all very friendly and attentive. We usually get the 12 egg omelette and share it but now that I'm allergic to eggs I was forced to get something else. I ended up getting their Chicken and Waffles and let me just say that I was greatly disappointed. There's nothing extraordinary about the waffle and the chicken was so bland (it visibly looked like it was seasoned but was extremely bland). I'm glad they had some Cholula on the table because it really needed some flavor. I am also going to complain about the size of the piece of chicken that you get. For $22 you'd think you'd get more than one small piece (maybe slightly bigger than a chicken tender). I should've really gotten a picture but was too hungry to remember. If you're allergic to eggs I'd say skip the breakfast menu and order something from their lunch menu because nothing on their breakfast menu would provide you a balanced breakfast meal. The one thing I've always enjoyed is that they provide everyone with blank pieces of paper and crayons. I love seeing all the art on their walls. Some people are just so talented.

You're like there's a popular diner here lol?

Omg this place is a gem! Its old, the whole block its located in looks deserted, and the hole in the wall feel to it is exactly what makes the experience so cool. You have to get the Bypass omelette and share it. Its so huge and can feed 3-4 people easily. They give you all you can eat hash browns to! You have to get their homemade biscuit with it to. This place is an experience like no other.

Good: service, late night hours, coffee Room for improvement: our entire meal was lacking salt and it feels like every tiny modification is an up charge. The vibe was casual and it was fun to chat with other patrons. Feels very welcoming no matter when you are craving food.

Egg Overdosed! My girl, friends and I went here to see me take down the famous Beth's Cafee 12 Egg Omelette Challenge :) The ambiance was great! As seen on TV from countless food shows, I expected drawings in the wall and the comfy environment it gives. Our servers are accommodating and encouraging for me to finish the challenge. However, it turns out there's no challenge and our server doesn't even knew about it, which is disappointing to say the least. But I didn't give any excuses and still tackle and devour that 12-egg omelette and sides for kicks! "Aren't ya'll entertained" lol. Honestly it was one of the best omelette I've recently ate. If it is not the sheer size of it, I would probably enjoyed it. Overall, it's a solid breakfast place indeed :) PS: Please bring back the challenge.. I finished it in just less than 23 minutes.. I have pics to back it up lol

My husband and son were going to Beth's so I tagged along. I had never been before and was so glad I went with them. First, our service was excellent. We went in at 9:30 or 10 pm so it was still very quiet. Our waiter was awesome and we had a lot of fun chatting with him and hearing his stories. The food was great. With breakfasts, you can get "refills" on the hash browns. While I could barely eat what was on my plate, my husband and son got multiple refills. Very clean, fun place. While we sat at the table we colored with crayons and paper our waiter gave us. All in all really great place. Great food and great people. Will be back soon!

I used to come here before Covid. It's changed a bit, no more drawing on the walls, but they do offer crayons and paper to put up on the wall. Portions seemed to be a little smaller then before but still a great place for breakfast. It's a little pricey but I still recommend.

Great atmosphere, Good food. Classic mom and pop breakfast spot. It was busy when we came in which is always a great sign. Seems like all the locals come here. We got the cheapest options- bagel and cream cheese and "mini breakfast". I would just say a lot of it is big portions with big prices, unless you know what to pick. They have omelettes with SIX or TWELVE eggs- we didnt try it. The hashbrowns were perfect and they are UNLIMITED hashbrowns. You are also able to color and put it on the wall.

Lots of people waiting to eat, so the food must've delicious! Not much to see from the outside, and parking is scarce. We waited for about 25 mins outside before being seated. The staff were really nice and apologized for the long wait. Upon entering, I noticed all the hand drawn pictures on the walls. The customers are very creative and talented. One of my favorite pics was the drawing of the Phoenix hatching from the egg. It took a while for the food to come out but when we received it, it was nice and hot. Unless you have a big appetite, you could definitely share a plate. We ordered the ham and cheese omelette, veggie omelette and a side order of biscuits and gravy. I've never had marionberry jelly before and I'll stick to grape jelly. It wasn't my thing. This place has been featured on man vs food for their 12 egg omelette. Overall the place was good. The food was ok. Nothing spectacular. It was recommended by a local. If you're looking for local eats, it's a good stop.

A family staple for breakfast lovers! We have been coming here for years now and have a spot for the grunge, authentic aesthetic! Bring your appetite and good manners :P

Beth's is exactly how I remembered it to be from seven years ago. You aren't necessarily coming here to be blown away by culinary excellence, but more for nostalgia. The walls are splashed with patrons artwork and just has an all around fun atmosphere. It's a Seattle staple and very diner-esque. You can't go wrong with bottom-less hash browns and omelets large enough to feed four.

    Tom W.

Best damn coffee shop in the universe! Went there because I'm on a quest for the best hash browns in America. The search is over; Beth's wins! Crunchy and crispy outside, delicious. Guys that worked there were all very polite and on top of everything.

The girl waitresses were sweet, the male was -- not so much. Not a big deal though. When we went it was full of people and loud-ish which was nice bc we had kids with us. Food was alright, not bad, not great. VERY EXPENSIVE. Will probably not go back but worth going if you're looking to spend a pretty penny for average food.

My friend took me here last week for a late night meal and it was such a great experience. It's got a really friendly, divey vibe that I look forward to with a diner experience: lunch counter, a view of the kitchen, and even drawings all over the walls. The staff was *super* attentive and made sure multiple times that we were cozy and the food was good (and the food WAS good). She got hot chocolate and a fresh baked cinnamon roll and I opted for biscuits and gravy after seeing on the menu that their biscuits are homemade. The cinnamon roll was melty, ooey, gooey, and enormous -- definitely more than enough for two people to share. The biscuits and gravy, similarly, were a large portion. The gravy was savory and creamy and the biscuit was flaky, buttery, and delicate just as a homemade biscuit should be. I will say the gravy to biscuit ratio was a bit heavy, but that's just personal preference. We also ordered some fries. They were simple diner fries. Next time i'm in town and we come here, I'll probably get hashbrowns / breakfast potatoes.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

It serves comfort food - classic breakfast diner items that can bring a person back from the dead. The eclectic fellows that inhabit this establishment in the wee hours of the morning come in all shapes and sizes, but they just have one goal - eat something greasy and satisfying. That's where this place delivers. I ended up here at slightly after 3 AM - and it was pretty packed. All the tables were full, and we were considering leaving after about ten minutes when one finally opened up. The servers are incredibly busy, and it took us about 15 minutes to actually get our order in. I got the cheese curds as my meal. These were easily the best cheese curds I've ever had. In Seattle, I've had a few instances of cheese curds that are relatively sad on the inside - they have a decent fry, but fail on the cheese aspect. That's absolutely not the case here. This cheese is amazing. It's the perfect level of squeakiness, and the stretch is unreal. It has a very unique flavor that you'll only find in cheese curds, that soft yet milk-like taste that's so addicting. It was melty, gooey, and hot inside. The taste was just pure heaven - I was shocked at how good these were. The fry on the outside is also so good. It's light yet so crispy; a beautiful golden brown that produces an amazing crunch when you eat it. Just phenomenal. The sauce provided with this was solid, but honestly I didn't even need it as the curds were amazing by itself. I tried some of the chicken fried steak as well. This was fine. The scrambled eggs were decent, but the hash browns felt a little limp and soggy. The steak itself was pretty average. The prices here aren't too bad either - my cheese curds were around $16, but the portion size was more than enough. Overall, this is a true late night classic that serves pretty great food as well. 8.75/10

The photos on Yelp make it seem like a great brunch place, but do not be fooled. Their service is genuinely atrocious and I wish I had read the other reviews prior. Not only did my group (of 5) have to wait beyond their estimated 25-45 minute wait period and ended up waiting over an hour to be seated and an additional 45 minutes for food to come out after ordering, we were met with the most abominable treatment ever. The hostesses have nothing but hatred in their attitude and it makes me wonder why they even want a job at this point. The main hostess was giving my group dirty stank eyes because 40 minutes into waiting we decided to ask for an update and they responded with a snarky remark that our group was large and needed to wait. There were plenty of empty tables that could have been pushed together but they would only seat us at the booth seats, which they only had 2 tables for. They sat numerous other large groups before us as well, even though they came after us, but their groups were of White people rather than people of color. Coincidence? I think not. Later, I had asked a different hostess if they had a bathroom to which she stared at me and just said yes and then stopped responding. I had to prompt her to tell me where it was...like is this not common sense that I was asking where it was? The server himself was actually really great and kind, but it could not make up for the horrible treatment we received from the hostesses throughout the entire time, and I can't help but feel it was racially based as my group was all Asian and almost all other customers were White. The food itself wasn't the worst but it does not make up for the lack of service either. If I were the boss, I would remove the hostesses who are causing this lack of service to customers. It seems like I am not the only one who received poor treatment after reading other Yelpers reviews. It's insane to me that in this day and age, and especially in an area so close to Seattle, we can still experience these outdated and cruel treatments of racism and ignorance. Overall, I wish I could rate this place a 0/5, but Yelp simply doesn't allow that. I hope you guys think again before coming here to eat, unless you like being demeaned before a meal.
