Beth's is dead. With omelets nearly $25, it's obvious this has turned into a tourist trap that appeals to nostalgia and makes gimmicky claims of Old Seattle vibes. I refuse to return and ruin the many fond memories I have of Beth's and our community during the wee hours on random days of the week during rainy days in the Fall. It's sad that the new ownership hasn't retained any of the magic that made Beth's a special place. C'est la vie. read more

So many creative individuals have been here. We had a late breakfast today and an out of town guest who wanted a classic American diner breakfast experience. Our group of 5 had biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns (my fave), bacon, sausage and toast. Unlimited hash browns is always a plus. Everything was on point and our servers were attentive and frequent with the coffee refills. The food was yummy and the coffee hot. Not much more to ask for. This is just such a good, classic neighborhood diner. Today, we went off the lunch menu (chicken tenders and tots for me, chicken tenders and waffle fries with an Arnold Palmer for my child... if I were to do it again, I might have opted for the waffle fries - crispier than the tots, and well-seasoned). Solid and simple diner lunch options - burgers, patty melt, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, grilled ham and cheese. But Beth's seems much better known for its vast breakfast options. Pancakes, Belgian waffles, omelettes (including the monster 12-egg omelette). All tasty. I really need to come back here to try the cinnamon roll French toast. read more

Parked in private lot in back and followed big sign pointing to walk thru small alley to front of building. No backdoor access (entry for workers only) This is a decades old institution that has been running with different owners for decades and known for their heart attack 12 egg omelet. Who in the right mind could eat all in one sitting?!! Yikes! Anyway walked thru front door and walls covered in local art works of paper and crayon drawings from customers. Counter seating, booths and tables. Big space. Server was friendly helpful and explained the menu when asked. So many choices. My friend just wanted bacon and eggs hash browns (which are unlimited ) and toast and guy said the basic breakfast. $21! I go the country fried steak with eggs sunny side up and runny with biscuit and sausage gravy on the side. $21. Nicely cooked and liked they didn't smother my steak as I like the fried part to stay crispy. All was edible and good. And friend even asked for another splattering of hash browns. I always make an effort to come here whenever I'm in Seattle. We used to love coming here when we lived in Seattle and would bring friends and family visiting us. The place is exactly how I remembered it and the service is just as great. They're all very friendly and attentive. We usually get the 12 egg omelette and share it but now that I'm allergic to eggs I was forced to get something else. I ended up getting their Chicken and Waffles and let me just say that I was greatly disappointed. There's nothing extraordinary about the waffle and the chicken was so bland (it visibly looked like it was seasoned but was extremely bland). I'm glad they had some Cholula on the table because it really needed some flavor. I am also going to complain about the size of the piece of chicken that you get. For $22 you'd think you'd get more than one small piece (maybe slightly bigger than a chicken tender). I should've really gotten a picture but was too hungry to remember. If you're allergic to eggs I'd say skip the breakfast menu and order something from their lunch menu because nothing on their breakfast menu would provide you a balanced breakfast meal. The one thing I've always enjoyed is that they provide everyone with blank pieces of paper and crayons. I love seeing all the art on their walls. Some people are just so talented. read more

Omg this place is a gem! Its old, the whole block its located in looks deserted, and the hole in the wall feel to it is exactly what makes the experience so cool. You have to get the Bypass omelette and share it. Its so huge and can feed 3-4 people easily. They give you all you can eat hash browns to! You have to get their homemade biscuit with it to. It was devastating to see this place closed down a few years ago. My son and his wife were in town recently and we went there for breakfast on a Monday morning. It wasn't too busy since it was a weekday and we were able to find parking right around the corner. I opted for the scrambled eggs, sausage links, toast, and hashbrowns. Everything was perfectly done and served within 10 minutes of ordering. My son and his wife split a six egg omelette and said it was outstanding. It definitely needs to be renovated. It's a hole in the wall for sure. It looks like they still use all the plates, silverware, glasses, etc, etc from the time they opened up. Menu is small so this is good, portions are ok, service is ok, ambiance is lost in time. Get this place renovated and get new and improved menu printed up also. No place to really park (owners put up signs) for Beth parking customers to know where we can park. read more

Egg Overdosed! My girl, friends and I went here to see me take down the famous Beth's Cafee 12 Egg Omelette Challenge :) The ambiance was great! As seen on TV from countless food shows, I expected drawings in the wall and the comfy environment it gives. Our servers are accommodating and encouraging for me to finish the challenge. However, it turns out there's no challenge and our server doesn't even knew about it, which is disappointing to say the least. But I didn't give any excuses and still tackle and devour that 12-egg omelette and sides for kicks! "Aren't ya'll entertained" lol. Honestly it was one of the best omelette I've recently ate. If it is not the sheer size of it, I would probably enjoyed it. Overall, it's a solid breakfast place indeed :) PS: Please bring back the challenge.. I finished it in just less than 23 minutes.. Ah, those late night munchy attacks after you've been out on the town doing your thing - there's Beth's. We've been here a few times. Nothing better than pancakes after Midnight after having a few drinks, lol. Some people call this a "hole in the wall" but I don't see that at all. I see a classic place that is very needed and reminds me so much of my college days hitting Dennys late night after a concert. My husband is a big omelet guy and says theirs is excellent. My husband and I tried this cafe today for a late breakfast. He ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. His pancakes looked delicious but he said they were very bland and he wondered if they served them with powered eggs. I ordered the country bennidict.. it came with biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage. The biscuits were super dense and inedible. There was a small portion of hash browns and the gravy was thin and flavorless. The sausage patties tasted like they had been microwaved. All in all it was a horrible plate. And the service was super slow. Definitely not worth the price! The decor was amusing as they had drawings on the wall that were pretty funny. We don't plan on returning. More of a novelty than anything else. Lots of better breakfast spots available in the area but for some reason they have achieved extreme notoriety. Could be the 24 hour aspect as that has drawn me in on a couple occasions. Could never see myself going there for a regular Sunday morning breakfast however. My husband and son were going to Beth's so I tagged along. I had never been before and was so glad I went with them. First, our service was excellent. We went in at 9:30 or 10 pm so it was still very quiet. Our waiter was awesome and we had a lot of fun chatting with him and hearing his stories. The food was great. With breakfasts, you can get "refills" on the hash browns. While I could barely eat what was on my plate, my husband and son got multiple refills. Very clean, fun place. While we sat at the table we colored with crayons and paper our waiter gave us. All in all really great place. Great food and great people. Will be back soon! read more

I used to come here before Covid. It's changed a bit, no more drawing on the walls, but they do offer crayons and paper to put up on the wall. Portions seemed to be a little smaller then before but still a great place for breakfast. It's a little pricey but I still recommend. read more

Our first time to Beth's Cafe was August 2025. It was a pleasant and wonderful surprise, proving you definitely cannot judge a book by its cover. The service was excellent, staff was friendly and the food was delicious. It says a lot about a place when you walk in and are immediately greeted by one of the staff! :) Our second trip back was last weekend. The staff was just as friendly and the service just as good. However, after we received our drink order and gave the server our food order, we were told that one of the things we wanted (cinnamon roll french toast) was out of stock. Bummer because we had that last time and it was AMAZING. But ok, plenty of other great choices on the menu. When our food arrived, it all looked great. We had each opted for the large delicious biscuit option instead of toast. We asked for jam/jelly, only to be told they were completely out of that was well. WHAT?! Adding jam to those delicious biscuits are the best part. Otherwise, what's the point? The beverage I had was OJ and it tasted strange. Things have to be incredibly bad for me to send them back In a restaurant, so I just didn't drink it and did not ask for it to be removed from our bill, which was well over $100 (including tip) for our party of 4. I completely understand running out of certain food items. However, it would be appropriate to let your guests know this before they are seated and have already placed drink orders. I really love supporting small businesses and do this as much as I can. I'm hoping to come back to Beth's in the future and give them another chance. read more

Beth's is exactly how I remembered it to be from seven years ago. You aren't necessarily coming here to be blown away by culinary excellence, but more for nostalgia. The walls are splashed with patrons artwork and just has an all around fun atmosphere. It's a Seattle staple and very diner-esque. Lots of people waiting to eat, so the food must've delicious! Not much to see from the outside, and parking is scarce. We waited for about 25 mins outside before being seated. The staff were really nice and apologized for the long wait. Upon entering, I noticed all the hand drawn pictures on the walls. The customers are very creative and talented. One of my favorite pics was the drawing of the Phoenix hatching from the egg. It took a while for the food to come out but when we received it, it was nice and hot. Unless you have a big appetite, you could definitely share a plate. We ordered the ham and cheese omelette, veggie omelette and a side order of biscuits and gravy. I've never had marionberry jelly before and I'll stick to grape jelly. It wasn't my thing. This place has been featured on man vs food for their 12 egg omelette. Overall the place was good. My friend took me here last week for a late night meal and it was such a great experience. It's got a really friendly, divey vibe that I look forward to with a diner experience: lunch counter, a view of the kitchen, and even drawings all over the walls. The staff was *super* attentive and made sure multiple times that we were cozy and the food was good (and the food WAS good). She got hot chocolate and a fresh baked cinnamon roll and I opted for biscuits and gravy after seeing on the menu that their biscuits are homemade. The cinnamon roll was melty, ooey, gooey, and enormous -- definitely more than enough for two people to share. The biscuits and gravy, similarly, were a large portion. The gravy was savory and creamy and the biscuit was flaky, buttery, and delicate just as a homemade biscuit should be. I will say the gravy to biscuit ratio was a bit heavy, but that's just personal preference. We also ordered some fries. They were simple diner fries. Next time i'm in town and we come here, I'll probably get hashbrowns / breakfast potatoes. read more

We got the cheapest options- bagel and cream cheese and "mini breakfast". I would just say a lot of it is big portions with big prices, unless you know what to pick. They have omelettes with SIX or TWELVE eggs- we didnt try it. The hashbrowns were perfect and they are UNLIMITED hashbrowns. You are also able to color and put it on the wall. read more

It's good to have you back Beth's!! I've missed you so much. Fueled by late nights and nostalgia, I'll make every effort to come here and be comforted by the delicious breakfast foods. This time, just between the hours of 7am-2pm lol. So instead of degenerate drunken nights, just come here for hung over mornings. This is just simply the perfect Seattle staple and I was heartbroken to see them close for so long. From the bottomless hashbrowns to triple bypass, all your favorites are all back and taste just as good. There's still taped crayon sketches everywhere and it's virtually identical on the inside. Although the breakfast items aren't anything spectacular, it's just something that is so satisfying and hits the spot every single time. It's not a bad deal to just get a normal 6 egg omlette and share it for an extra 2 bucks. Just get a refill for the hash :) Sampler: Gettt!! This is usually my go to almost every time. The only thing this is missing is some meat but you can easily just get the country benedict instead if you'd rather have sausage patty than toast. The girl waitresses were sweet, the male was -- not so much. Not a big deal though. When we went it was full of people and loud-ish which was nice bc we had kids with us. Food was alright, not bad, not great. VERY EXPENSIVE. Will probably not go back but worth going if you're looking to spend a pretty penny for average food. read more

Super friendly and attentive staff! Beth's has a great neighborhood diner ambiance, and the interior decorated with customer drawings is so cute! Endless hashbrowns are a great concept, and they were executed well - perfectly crispy outsides with a soft, potato-y center. I have gone to Beth's many times over the years and the food is always consistently good to me. Where the problem for me now is, is with the service. It has gotten to the point where I feel like they will not even check on you only until the time to give the check. Me and my friend went to get breakfast this weekend and the sit down service took a while while it was pretty slow inside. Also, while friendly, the woman serving us would check on the table next to us multiple times and when I even tried to flag her down, I was ignored. The endless hash browns really does have an end if I can't even get another order in. I'll give it another shot bc of the food but it's wearing thin. read more

So satisfying & filling. We were quickly seated for Sunday breakfast and staff was courteous & helpful to menu items. Omelettes are surprisingly large - made of either 6 or 12 eggs decorated with plentiful fillings. I got the Southwestern, an omelette filled with rich red bean chili. It was the star of the table (compared to breakfast burrito and triple bypass omelette). Omelettes are also served with all-you-can-eat hash browns. Beth's hashes are on the soggy side, but nothing sauce couldn't fix. For Omelettes, I definitely love these choices moreso than iHop. It is slightly more expensive, but the service and small local cafe vibe makes the experience worthwhile. Will definitely try more items next round! read more

Yeah not a fan really. It's well-known in the Seattle area for its longevity, its approach to gluttony and being open 24/7 (well it will be again soon) but the food is nothing special and I hate the vibe here. I love greasy spoons but I'll take most of the alternatives in the Seattle area of this. Unless you're going somewhere with a more artisan approach to breakfast, it's hard to screw up the formula. Mostly you're looking for the flavors that are comforting to you and generally mostly diners can provide that. Beth's is fine in this regard although I've passed the age where quantity is main consideration so I don't really need to have 6 eggs as a minimum - I wonder how much food gets wasted here every year? My real issue is the interior of this place is basically just a bunch of paper plastered all over the walls. Compare this to other dumps like Hattie's Hat or Lost Lake and there's just zero comfort is this space. I don't want to chill here, I want to eat out of a trough and bail. Service is fine. read more

No frills, clean and ready to make you your favorites. I went for a three-egg veg scramble with a monster-size biscuit. Coffee is refreshed promptly, and the traditional drawings are fresh on the walls. Please note the revised hours, limited to 7 - 3 daily. rant Back in the day, Beth's had Aardvark sauce on every table. It's a spicy habanero condiment that goes great on eggs and hashbrowns. They had to stop because people were stealing them. WTH people!?! If you can afford to eat out, buy your own bottle. Why would you steal from a restaurant?
