Mediocre experience ruined by low quality food (I found a half cubic square inch of plastic in my already low-quality patty), ungrateful waiters (they are impatient in taking orders, impolite at the cashier desk and they yelled at us in public for taking a 10-minute walk with my friends in a more than half hour long wait), overly greasy food in an unhygienic place. I would not come back here even if someone paid me to. My group of friends and I spent two hours waiting for the bus just to get there, and after signing in and warming up elsewhere for 10 minutes, returned to the restaurant just to get yelled at when we didn't anticipate that a whole line of people would just leave the line after we left the cafe. After waiting another half an hour, we were led to a table where the waiter just threw the menus on the table, took our drink orders, and left. Then a different waiter came to take our food orders, who was rather impatient, and while we were eating our food that's when I found that I was chewing on a piece of plastic inside the patty. The same waiter who led us to our table was also impolite and impatient to us when he was at the cashier, deliberately ignoring someone who asked for a bag for the period of serving the next person. read more

The help is okay, I don't really know why. I am not a fan of their burgers or their fries. I love splitting a 12 egg omelet. The Alaskan salmon one is soooo delicious. I've gotten it a few time and it tasted burnt once but, the other times it has been quite delicious. The friendship bread is to die for as well. I give it 4 stars in spite of all of that because of the value of food you're getting and the gorrrrrrgeous waitresses that they have working there. Oh mama. read more

Best place to get a 12 egg omelete and a pint. Period.

I don't mind the divey atmosphere, sticky floors, gross bathroom, old utensils and furniture. I do mind that the food was forgettable. If the only thing special was the quantity, that's nothing to write home about. The servers are great, though, but c'Mon. If people only give high marks for quantity, even if the taste wasn't there, then what gives? We had the unfortunate pleasure of dining here twice in a week because our visiting out of town friends saw it on TV somewhere. Honestly, I think you'd b better off taste wise even at Dennys or IHOP. We tried the 12 egg omelette, bland. Tried the steak and eggs...just ok. Tried the fish and chips, better off at a fast food. Their dishes try to impress by humongous servings but fail in the taste. But if you're looking to just fill up for cheap and you don't care about taste, come here. If you want to enjoy your food, try another place. read more

This place has an old school diner feel, so don't come in with expectations of television glamour. I think some of the drawings on the wall need to be cycled out. Who cares about that, I came for the food. And the food was solid. My 6 egg smoked salmon omelet was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Plenty enough to share (note additional charge if you do still want bottomless hashbrowns). Our group also ordered eggs benedict which was tasty, though the French toast was average. Amazing fruit jam to put on your toast. Good service. The former waitress sitting at the counter chatting us up was friendly too. read more

Love Beth's! Always a wait but well worth it. My fiancee and I order the triple bypass 6 egg mountain of deliciousness!!!!! We share and always have leftover potatoes. I order the tater tots on the side but they really need some seasonings on them. staff is usually fun and sweet occasionally we get a stiff waitress. We visit once every couple months read more

I was first introduced to Beth's Cafe and their omelets by my ex-girlfriend, but like my ex-girlfriend, I dropped the omelets, which are bad for you and found something tastier - their corned beef hash and eggs, unfortunately, they're just as bad, health-wise :( read more

I would recommend anything on their menu. I've been there a few times and enjoyed all of the things that I ordered. The portions are really large and the customer service is great too! read more

Is you're in the mood for late night breakfast, this place is a must. Bad for your diet, great in your belly.

Beth's is my go to for hangover food. The servings are ginormous, the staff is fun and laid back, and the food, regardless of what you get, is sure to satisfy. Love it! read more

A great spot for breakfast! Not sure i would order anything else here. Very interesting atmosphere. Not sure how to describe ot exactly. More of an alternative vibe. Service was fast and friendly plus good food. Would happily eat here again! read more

Let me just say that I had high hopes for this place and was super excited about going. I had watched the episode of Man VS Food a few years ago and knew I wanted to check it out someday. My partner and I decided to go one day while we were in the area. We get there and the parking lot is a bit sketchy, but not a big deal. We open the door and the cook, who is a bigger guy with a beard, looks at us with a annoyed look and holds up two fingers (to signify my partner and I) I nod yes and he just points to a table..okay that was a little odd, maybe he can't speak or something so I try and forget about it. Next a waiter comes and takes are drink orders he seemed nice so that part was okay. We order the country benedict and the steak and eggs. My partner tries to order poached eggs but apparently they don't know how to do that, seriously who doesn't know how to poach eggs? The food comes out and it is greasy and bland like they didn't know how to season their food. I love greasy food but when its greasy and has zero flavor its just plain gross. Also as we were eating the same cook who didn't know how to talk to customers was telling the waitress about a girl he was texting and how she was a @#$# for not texting him back. Keep in mind all of this is happening five feet from our table, making it very awkward to have a conversation with my partner. If I could give this place zero stars I would, the only redeeming quality was the hot chocolate. read more

Thus place has the best corned beef hash ever! I can't wait to come back and try something else. It definitely has that Seattle grunge vibe. There's lots to look at on the walls while you're waiting for your food. I'll have to ask for paper and crayons next time. The food was incredible, prices were good, wait staff got the job done, and I will be back. read more

This place is such a wonderful dive, I mean that in the best way possible. The food is greasy yet I want more of it. Its 24 hours so its great for those munchies and hangovers. My fiancee loved the unlimited hash browns part and I colored pictures the whole time! Also the portions are huge. read more

I am only giving this place a one start out of 5 because I have too, otherwise I would give this place a 0 out of 5 stars. The food was like any ordinary place. There is nothing special about it. This service is seriously the worse service I have ever experienced, even the group I was with agreed. We waited for over 30 minutes to get in so we expected the food and service to be excellent. The server did not come once to check on us, we waited and waited and waited and finally got pissed and left after waiting about 40 minutes for our server who did not come. We are very unpleased and do not recommend anyone to come. You might as well go to Taco Bell than this place. If you want a good place check out carols corner read more

Standard breakfast food. Really huge portions. But decently priced. No mimosas which put a downer on my weekend brunch but the staff was friendly and we got seated quickly. The place had character but it's very small and not much leg room in the booths If you're tall! Not somewhere I necessarily have to go back to again but no real complaints on the service or taste of food. read more

Awesome find! We were looking for a 24 hour breakfast place after being thrown off by the time change. They give you crayons and paper while you're waiting for your giant group omelette. Cool vibe! read more

This place is so great!!! Our group had an assortment of the options off of the menu and everything was delicious. You have to try the jam from the table because it is delicious.the portions are huge so come hungry! The walls are covered with papers that previous customers have drawn and it is really cool. Will defiantly visit again. read more

Absolutely great good, great atmosphere, and great folks working here. It's a must for a great breakfast.

The food was great but....the dishes were dirty, the tables were sticky and the service was non-existent. The restaurant was definitely busy so I can give them a little bit of a break but I sat for an hour with no refills on coffee. The food took 35 minutes to arrive and the waitress needs to get some people skills. I won't be back. read more

Food good, service not so much. If you are going to have all you can eat hash browns, check on your customers to offer them more. Maybe a refill would've been nice, halfway through our meal as we tried to catch the attention of the girl that seemed to be going back and forth seating people or taking drinks. Sued cone towards us with nothing in her hands, stop and turn back around like she forgot what she was doing. We just gave up hoping for anything else, paid up front & left. My pancakes were good, needed more butter. Was not given any jam for toast that everyone raved about. Hubby enjoyed omelet, but never got more hash browns...for the hassle...there are tons of other late night joints to hit up. read more

The greatest scramble eggs and fried steak sauce I ever have!!! Generous meal portion with frequent coffee refill check. :)

Good food. Good location. And they are open 24/7. The service was good. Only one complaint, the place needs a bit of an upgrade. The bathroom was a bit scary :/ read more

Great place for good breakfast in North Seattle. Atmosphere is as a dive joint but don't let that put you off. Enjoy music of different eras and the coloring a by patrons. Mini breakfast with pancakes eggs and bacon was perfect! read more

Solid Seattle spot. All the food is in large portions and very tasty.

Super yummy and huge portions! Salmon omlette really good..heard bout the place from a local. Staple of the neighborhood. Good stuff!!

I'm pretty new to town and needed that local restaurant with an amazing breakfast that could draw me out of bed on a Sunday morning. This is it. I've never been a biscuit and gravy fan. Well Beth's proved me wrong. I dream about it. Id also recommend listening to your inner child and that hot chocolate. It's pretty awesome. read more

It's honest food. They don't try to make it something it's not. That's the best part. The servers aren't going to kiss your ass, but they will keep the coffee flowing. Basically, you get good greasy spoon style food, at a reasonable price from colorful people who could give two shits about your self importance. read more

Beth's food is amazing! You can easily split one meal between two people and still be full. This is our go to for breakfast.

Ahhh... beth's... two words to say about beth's: GOOD TIMES!!!! Maybe it's something that you need the nostalgia of your underage, and early 21+ years to truly appreciate this Greasiest of all Gloriously Greasy Spoons, but this place is one of my places which defines the seattle experience. Where else can you go to hear over the loudspeakers "Can I have everyone give a round of applause, simply for the sake of Having a round of applause?" and have an entire cafe full of people wildly break out into hoots hollers and clapping??? Where else can you strike up a conversation with a drunken biker dude, and draw him a picture with a brown crayola crayon and he'll LOVE it? Where else can you get dare your best friend to finish a TWELVE EGG OMELET??? and where else can you relish the joy of shitty coffee and american cheese melted over crispy hashbrowns at 2am, while waxing poetic with the ravers at the table next to you? Basically, it's right up there with disneyland as the happiest place on earth, and since disneyland isn't open at 2am for shitty coffee and would probably charge me $50 for the color crayons... I guess beth's beats it. read more

I have loved this place for over thirty years now. Great food, Great service! I will continue going back as long as I live here in Seattle. If you're hard to please you won't be pleased anywhere so go somewhere else. Having been in the service industry for too long I know about dealing with difficult people. I was totally charmed by a waitress who responded to a yuppie or wanna be yuppies' demands and rudeness by kicking him out. What a HOOT! Thank you Beth's Cafe! read more

Good diner food, love the bacon waffle, six dollar shake, and have never been brave enough to try the 12 egg omelet. Love the quirky and offbeat waiters (who are always polite and prompt with service.) I eat here regularly and plan to keep coming back. read more

The food was great and the portions are large for the price. The customer artwork on the wall added charm and the service was extremely fast and friendly. read more

Food is greasy and expensive. Best thing on the menu is the Amish bread that is made elsewhere. The IHOP up the road is a bit nicer.

Went there this evening for a really late dinner. I think I was a bit overdressed (a suit from the job I just got off of), but the waitress liked my tie so all was good. So first things first. It's a diner, and a little bit gritty too. This ain't the kinda place you bring grandma and your toddlers to. If you're cool with the somewhat loud music and cheap decor the place is great. The staff are excellent even if their language is a bit no-holds barred. Like I said, it's a diner. I had the french toast and coffee. Definitely not too shabby, and quantity matched the price. Price is comparable with what you'd pay at an IHOP, with about the same wait. With 24-hour service it's extremely convenient for late-comers. read more

I wanted to try this place out because it was on Man vs Food. The food was average. Not the homecoming style I was looking for. eggs had hardly any seasonings, hash browns were burnt on top and undercooked in the middle. Everything else was ok. Your basically buying the portion size. You get a lot for your money here. It is a nice change of place, but it was a little dirty for me. Good experience though. read more

Alright. I'm sure there are plenty of people who visit Beth's due to its TV spots on the food network and/or travel channel; and I am in that list. I had to see what the fame was about, so I opted for a 6-egg omelet. I was tempted to go all the way and get the full dozen, but I just didn't need that much food. Starting with the portions, there's no way to complain. Even the non-omelette menu items are decent, and if you want a big meal without any flash this is a 5 star restaurant. The walls are covered with drawings from all ages and all types. There's a "jukebox" that keeps the music fresh and at a decent level so it can be ignored if you'd rather talk, or just concentrate on you're Gi-normous meal. I didn't explore it in detail, but it seemed to have a good selection of music. The quality of the food is high. Everything on my plate(s) was fresh and certainly cooked on a clean surface. The hashbrowns which come with a lot of the meals are crisp without being dry. Discounting the low salt levels, the food is well made and satisfying. And plentiful. I got a side of amish bread as soon as I saw it on the menu and was not disappointed. Definitely try the amish bread. I need to try some non-breakfast items the next time I visit. To sum up. I would give a 5 star rating except for one shortcoming. As good, big, and high quality as the food is; there's really nothing "special" about the food. It's traditional american cooking. If that's what you are looking for, this is the place. read more

This is the place you want to take friends or family from outside of Seattle, because it is so unique. My son saw an episode of "Regular Show" where they had a 12-egg omelet challenge and I told him "you know, we have such a thing for real, here in Seattle", so we took him there. We "only" took on the 6-egg omelet and yet, even with sharing, it was a massive breakfast. The hash browns that come with the omelet are pretty tasty. It's not necessarily for you if you are on a weight-loss diet, but I have seen Beth's Cafe a couple of times on TV and when you know what you can expect, you will not be disappointed. I am looking forward for the next time to take on their humongous breakfast burritos. read more

Beths is the spot. If your out late..drunk and really want some pancackes..go here

The food was GREAT!!! It's what's expected. Didn't like the crowd, but what do you expect when a whole bunch of people want Good Food.
