After dealing with a local Mazda dealership here in Las Vegas, I went to Berge in Gilbert in hopes that they could help me. The salesperson was Russ, who I advise to stay away from. The reason I am stating this is because I read all good reviews on him and thought he was the salesperson for me. My husband comes home from deployment in a few days and I wanted to surprise him with a car, Mazda Miata to be exact. When I spoke with Russ I told him the time line that I needed it by. They had a little over a week and a half to get the car to me. That is plenty of time. Well, moving forward they overnighted the paperwork, it got here on Friday by 2:00 PM. I had to get a paper notarized and I busted my butt to get the paperwork back out before UPS closed at 6 pm. I arrived a little after 5 PM when I got off work. The paperwork arrived at their dealership at 9:36 am on Monday. Yes, I keep up with tracking. I let Russ know since I hadn't heard anything from them, that the paperwork arrived and it was now a little after 10 AM. He assured me that the paperwork was in the hands of Finance, Marc. I waited all day to hear something, and nothing. So, finally around 3ish I called Marc, he stated all was done and looked good and that Brad, sales manager was working on scheduling the delivery. But, they couldn't release the vehicle till they got funds from chase. Sorta makes sense. So, I waited to hear from Brad and nothing. So at 5 PM I called Brad to see how the delivery process was going and he stated he didn't schedule it yet and I informed him again I needed the car delivered by July 5th, a few moans and groans and he stated he would schedule the delivery for Saturday, but wouldn't make any promises if funds didn't come through from Chase. Next day after 11 am I received an email from Russ stating that billing was having issues. Then around 1:30 pm he calls me and says that I missed some signatures on the paperwork and they would have to overnight it back to me. I was furious!!! How did finance say everything was ok and took them about 6 hours to review and come back and say the paperwork was wrong. Long story short, they gave me the wrong information for signing where my husband would (power of attorney since he is deployed). The reason it makes me furious is because before I started signing I called Russ for him to confirm how to sign it. So, they tried to blame me for the error when it was in their error. I spoke to billing and a higher person on the pole was suppose to call me, which they never did. And the only reason why communication kept going it because I had to keep the fire under their butts! I put a $500 hold on the car, did everything they told me, rushed through my work day to make sure the paperwork was sent back in time, and kept calling and emailing to make sure things were running smoothly. The paperwork arrived, I checked where they had "said" I missed signing, but compared to the old one I signed, I didn't miss anything. How unprofessional this place is! Yes, grant it, I'm out of town and it makes the situation a tiny bit harder. I told them to refund my $500 and cancel the transaction that I am not doing business with them anymore. It took them for me to email them AGAIN to refund my monies. Be aware of what you walk into. They seemed to care the first phone call/email, but they don't. There is no excuses when it comes to being a dealership. Give 110% then more, or don't have a dealership. End of story. P.S. I called another Mazda dealership and in two days they had the car to me, came from California and was parked in my driveway on Saturday evening, more then enough time before my dear husband comes home. THAT is how a dealership works. THAT is customer service! read more
