    Brandon Gonzolaes deserves a raise honestly. Buying a car is usually stressful, but somehow he made us leave the dealership feeling like we had just won a car instead of buying it. From start to finish the whole experience was a 10/10. Super personable, patient, helpful, and never once made us feel pressured. We drove away in our 2026 VW Tiguan feeling excited instead of exhausted. I will be asking for Brandon next time we are car shopping & you should too!

    Just bought a new Volkswagen Jetta today and had the most amazing experience with Gregg and Aaron. They went out of their way to make it a smooth process, and got me the exact car I wanted within my budget. Super friendly and took extra time to walk me through the app and extra features of the car.

    We had an amazing experience with Amber Brewer while purchasing our Yukon on Saturday. She made the process fast, easy, and stress free. Amber was incredibly attentive not just to us but also to our kids making the whole experience comfortable and smooth.     FYI. I bought 1 new Arteon and I currently lease 1 new ID.4 from this Berge location. IN MY OPINION AND BASED ON MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: BERGE IS A MONUMENTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Thank you for treating me like a manufacturer factory reset button when you claimed to void my vehicle manufacturer warranty with a picture of a wire and proceeded to blame it on an act of GOD. If you are interested in buying a nightmare from hell for the service department and have electric vehicle discrimination shoved into your face by oil company addicts in the service department. And if you like that oilers like to hurt brown people in deserts far away for companies to profit; then this is the place for you. Go to he double hockey sticks Berge Volkswagen.

Brandon and his team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire process, and ensured that we were able to get the vehicle we wanted while staying within our budget.     After further activity with Berge, and there service team I would have to say my experience with them left me feeling very disappointed. When I first went in to get the car maintenance after noticing that the pads and routers were not in good condition, everything was smooth and I was told I would get a call later on in the day or tomorrow about what is needed to work on and what not. So I waited one day than called myself since there was no reach out yet and when trying to get the information about my car, all I would get is a hangup or told my manger will be with you shortly but than shortly goes to no-where. After all the frustration I made a review of how terrible of a service I was being given. I had to call 8 people just to find one person that can claim to help me, it felt more like a scam than a shop to me, when I finally got there to see my car I was confronted about my review by service and was told "are you gonna take that down now" than I was shocked that they read it and I said to him well it didn't feel good getting hanged up on 8 times and not getting it looked at 3 days after I took it in. He than assures me by saying "well you know it's not a brand new car" witch just made me feel not any better about my purchase with them adding a sly to it saying "well did a lil something to it for you" witch raised alarms in my head, now I will be getting my own report on the vehicle and taking it to a different location as suggested by the dealers at the store themselves. P.S they do have nice cars just don't go to the service shop they are what I'd like to say lazy.

    The thought of entering another car dealership to purchase a slightly used SUV for my daughter made me cringe after the last "all day and into the night" disaster of a purchase at another dealership in North Phoenix, but the team at Berge VW quickly changed my tune with their "no pressure", helpful, and incredibly great customer service! From our sales rep David, to Mark his manager and Kami in customer relations, the entire experience was a extreme pleasure! They all made my daughter and me feel like family and they even offered to fix a few minor things on the car for us at no charge that they didn't have to do! I would highly recommend Berge VW/Mazda to any of my friends and family. The car was priced fairly and they were extremely "up front" with everything including their small dealer fees (which was a pleasant surprise)! The GM Jason even took the time to meet us and congratulate my daughter on her first real car purchase. Her 2022 Taos with only 25,000 miles will hopefully be a great car for her while she's out of state at college. I Will definitely but returning to the Berge family for my next Volkswagen/Mazda purchase! Just when I thought kindness and truly caring about the customer at a car dealership had vanished, the Berge crew renewed my faith that good, (no great) dealerships still exist!

    I went to Berge Volkswagen on 09/12/2025 because my check engine light went on the day prior. I was in an emergency situation as I had friends visiting from Chicago and we were going to Sedona on 09/13 and planning on taking my car. My initial thought was that it was the battery that caused the check engine light. I have a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan. So I made an appointment and set it up for 09/12 at 9:30am. The vehicle I have is still under warranty so I thought it would take care of the battery. The technician checked and stated it indeed was the battery and I needed a new one. I agreed to get it done but then the technician says it would be $505.00 but he will do it for $485 as the warranty doesn't cover the battery. I immediately am startled and ask why so much. I've had numerous cars and never paid anything close to that. He said the car needs a special battery and special programming after it's installed. He assures me that it's normal price and that it's what most places would charge because the programming is difficult. I hesitantly agree as I knew I needed the car fixed so I can go to Sedona the next day as I had hotel reservations made and did not want to cancel. They take the car into the shop and tell me it will be done in a 5-6 hours and then I can pick it back up. When I leave, I visit both Costco and AutoZone as well as call and they tell me a standard battery for a 2021 VW Tiguan is between $130-180, depending on the battery. I bring up how much I was being charged and they were blown away. The AutoZone salesman told me to call Berge VW back and cancel the service right away as he'd install it for me if it was purchased at his AutoZone for free!! He said there is nothing special about a battery for that type of car or nothing extra for the programming. I immediately panic and call my mechanic friends and they tell me I got massively ripped off and that the technician who charged me is probably laughing about how he hustled me and got a higher commission. I got back to the dealership to pick up my car when they let me know it was ready. I asked for a discount and eventually he charged me $465 for the total cost. The only thing done was the battery. The technicians didn't even have the decency to program the time correctly after and gave the car a horrible car wash with streaks throughout the windows. For that price, I'd expect everything to be pristine in the car. I reluctantly paid as there was nothing I could do but this was a horrible lesson for myself. This was price gouging at its finest. He knew I was in an emergency and would pay because I had no options. But it hurt me financially really bad. I'm partly to blame but be careful at being scammed. Something so simple as a battery should not be listed at an original price of $505. I'm not driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini, it was a Tiguan. I've been the laughing stock of my friends after they found out how much I paid. Lesson learned but be careful. Dealerships are called Stealerships for a reason. The reputation they have for being sleazeballs is there for a reason. All they see is dollar signs. I'm not the richest man in the world so this was a huge hit for me financially. I felt like the dealership took serious advantage of me. I very rarely ever in my life have left a negative review, but after so many second opinions, I just don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else.

So new guy relayed the message to the owner and now the manager says no go on the tires. Like wtf kind of business are you running. Don't promise people shit if you don't follow through. So now have to eat 400$ on new tires that only lasted 3 months. Shitty management and ownership. Don't recommend this place to anyone unless you like getting screwed over. ​

    Last night my battery went dead about a block away from this location. Instead of calling my…read moreinsurance company and waiting for a repairman, I decided to walk over to this NAPA location. As I was about halfway through the parking lot where this NAPA is located, I saw an employee walk over to turn the OPEN sign over and lock the door. I immediately started to sprint over as I just missed them. I knocked on the window and yelled in that "my car had died". The two gentlemen looked at each other and one walked over to slightly open the door. As I began to tell them my issue, they started to ask the make and model and even asked where I was pulled over (more on this later). The guys here got me all set with a new battery, and made sure that I had the correct size wrench as I did not have any tools on me. As I was paying for the battery, one of the employees mentioned that he was getting off in about 5-minutes and would swing by to make sure that I had the correct wrench and also see if I needed help. Not only did the employee, Brent, do this but he also helped me with my car reset. This is the type of service we all hope for as customers and more. These guys went above and beyond when they were closed, and this positive review is just a small token of my appreciation.

And anybody that lives in the desert knows car batteries do not do well in a very hot temperatures and very cold temperatures. Which we seem to have an abundance of both in 2023. My battery started showing signs of going bad and I stopped in at O'Reilly Auto parts I did not have my receipt for the battery that I bought there a year and a half ago. I do always use my phone number when I buy auto parts just in case I have an issue. Cody was working, he is the assistant manager of the store. For some reason their computer system was having issues and he was not able to look up my phone number in their system. Cody was very patient and tried several different ways to locate my phone number in the computer. He even called another store whose computer was working and was able to locate my information so I could get the warranty claim on the battery. I appreciate the fact that he stuck with it and was able to get the issue resolved. The computer did finally start working so that helped. But Cody was not going to give up until he got that battery changed. I highly recommend O'Reilly Auto parts.

I called them on the evening of 09/03 to ask if they had a battery that fits my car. I believed that my last battery was purchased with AutoZone 4 years ago and I tell them this. They have only 3 year warranty options available (more $$$) and I stress that I can't afford more than a 2 year, and then the assistant store manager Cory makes it seem like he's going to do me a great service and price match a similar battery with Walmart, and is going out of the way to even look for a lower price for me. Red Flag #1 (I didn't realize at the time) is when Cory asks why I don't want a 3 year and I say, "I don't need a 3 year since my battery lasted 4 years anyway", and Cory says "I can see why you would think that". He pulled my info with just my phone number and that surprised me because I don't remember shopping with O'Reilly before. This was Red Flag #2 but I didn't think on it further. I thanked him sincerely, went to the store that night and bought it. While checking out Cory once again gave a whole song and dance about how he's helping me out here, no problem at all. Red Flag #3, is looking back and forth with the other store associate in a peculiar way. As though they know something I don't, or Cory doesnt want the other associate to say anything. Something felt 'off' the whole time. The afternoon of 09/04 I go to return my old battery for the core exchange. Partnered with store manager Bryan and brought up that it was odd that my info pulled up, I realized I have an O'Reilly brand battery in my car currently, and is it possible my battery was actually within warranty? Bingo. My warranty ends 09/23/23, I bought it with them in 2021. I just barely caught it before that warranty ran out. I ask how and why Cory could have missed this information and Bryan gives a vague "well did he look at your car? No? Must not have been looking at that screen". He then talks me into keeping the battery as a purchase rather than taking advantage of the warranty in a convoluted way, by making it sound like it's a better deal to simply buy my battery now so it has three year warranty starting today rather than running out of warranty in 20 days. What an idiot I am. Of course the better deal is to get a FREE battery while it's within warranty for the last 20 days. What are the odds something will happen to a brand new battery? Even if it did, I was already going to buy a new battery. Literally trying to rob me of the last few days I could use the warranty. Thanks for making me look like a dingus, Bryan. I'm sure y'all had a good laugh when I left. I came back an hour later to get the full refund and use my warranty. Bryan didn't look too happy about it. Sorry you didn't get a measly $173 for your store this month by trying to trick someone with slimy sales tactics. This left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never return to another O'Reilly.
