I've had Ben Paris on my list for quite some time, working in Seattle. Saw and heard their brunch was good! My colleague and I hung out this past Friday night and it took a while, going to 3 different restaurants before settling on Ben Paris! What a great choice! When we arrived, they had some outside seating, at least 3 tables. There were 2 left so we got the corner. You have such a beautiful view of the Pike Place Public Market sign and although there are passerby's near you, it's actually not that bad. We did have one man start talking to us as he went by, believe he was homeless unfortunately or a little odd but that didn't ruin our evening! The hostess and servers are quite nice! We looked over the menu and got one of their most famous mocktails that has a CBD seltzer, a Citrus Zen-Rita, and I asked how strong it would be, relaxing or energy wise and she said it was an equivalent of a Chamomile tea! (It worked when I got home!) The dishes are tasty. Loved the truffle fries. The foccacia bread worked well with our pasta dish. We wanted to split the short rib paccheri and they did a marvelous job splitting it. The pasta was tender al dente and the short rib was tender! We really enjoyed and I'd want to come back for their brunch! The inside of the restaurant is quite beautiful so we'd like to experience that next time.
Ben Paris was a great brunch spot during my time in Seattle. The restaurant has a comfortable, stylish atmosphere that feels a little more elevated than a typical brunch place without being overly formal. We ordered the baked eggs, the Ben Paris Breakfast, and an order of parmesan truffle fries to share. The baked eggs were rich and comforting, with plenty of flavor in every bite. The Ben Paris Breakfast was exactly what you'd want from a classic brunch plate--well-executed, satisfying, and made with quality ingredients. The parmesan truffle fries ended up being a highlight of the meal. They were crispy, generously seasoned, and easy to keep reaching for throughout brunch. The service was attentive, and the food came out promptly despite the restaurant being fairly busy. Overall, the meal felt polished without trying too hard, and everything we ordered was enjoyable. If you're looking for a reliable brunch option in downtown Seattle, Ben Paris is definitely worth considering. It's the kind of place that does the basics well while adding just enough creativity to make the experience memorable.
Cute breakfast/brunch place connected to a hotel! Food was decent but super expensive. Got a kale salad, avocado toast and truffle fries to share / all were okay. The service was decent - people were super kind but unfortunately toward the second half of our meal we couldn't pin down our waiter so I had to flag a different one down for the check. Bathroom is also located outside of the restaurant in the basement of the hotel for your awareness!
Ben Paris is perfectly located in downtown Seattle, for both local and tourists who are seeking great food right outside of the historic pike place attractions. I greatly appreciate the ability to make reservations, and I highly recommend providing detail notes about your party so the host can meet your accommodations. Due to its location on the weekends and especially during brunch hours Ben Paris can get busy be patient and definitely book a reservation. Our server Jake provided excellent service, he was extremely courteous and curated a great dining experience for my family and I. We will definitely return and highly recommend!
Tried Ben Paris since I was staying at the State Hotel and had dining credit. Two of us ordered: ben paris breakfast $25 tavern burger $22 We had tried the fries as a snack before and it was ok. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was terrible. Food sat there for 10-15 minutes. Server went MIA. Tried to wave down other staff to let them know our food was probably sitting there and finally someone else grabbed for us. Even as a comped meal, I wouldn't want to spend my time here. Food was cold. Nothing stood out. Bad service.
Such a delightful restaurant! The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. The restaurant's decor was very cool, it reminded me of something from the 1970's back in Philadelphia. The service was fantastic too with the exception of the guy who delivered the food, he was cranky. Would definitely recommend.
While visiting Seattle, I was looking for a brunch spot and Ben Paris caught my eye. Not only for the menu but for the decor. I made reservations, arrived and we were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess. We were sat at a two top by the window, just in front of the bar. I will say the tables spaces are tight but the window view to people watch was great! It took a few minutes for our waiter to come, but when he did, he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We decided on still water which he told us was filtered (which was great to know), a grapefruit mimosa for me and lavender latte for my partner. The mimosa was well balanced and the lavender latte was simply chefs's kiss! For entrees, I decided on the cauliflower Caesar with an added fried chicken thigh and an order of regular fries. My partner had the ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon. I enjoyed the cauliflower Caesar and while the chicken thigh was crispy, it honestly lacked flavor. The fries were awesome; handcut and just right. The ricotta pancakes stole the show. Fluffy and flavorful! Overall, a solid spot that I'd try again.
I'm staying the The State Hotel and decided to try Ben Paris for Happy Hour. The hotel gives guests a $15 credit per day, I decided to use my credits this evening. After settling into my room, I came down and sat at the bar, which 3 of the 6 or 7 seats were filled. The bartender was busy talking to guests and doing something, so I looked over the menu. As I sat there, the bartender passed in front of me several times and began crafting a drink in front of me, while talking to the couple a seat over from me. The bartender spoke to someone else, then went back to them, never once greeting me or letting me know he'd be with me shortly. After waiting a bit, I decided to check with the front desk people, to see if happy hour was only in the bar area. They said it was not, so I asked the waitress if I could sit at a table. She walked me over to a table and was able to take my order immediately, as I had already had time to look over the menu at the bar. I ordered the fries, wagyu sliders, hush puppies, and Brussels sprouts. I was not a fan of the fries and the hush puppies. The sliders and Brussels sprouts were delicious. The woman working the floor in the restaurant was amazing... she completely turned around my experience. The bartender came to drop off my iced tea and still had an attitude, I would have apologized if I were in that position. In any case, I believe Heidi is the name of the server, she did a great job.
Stopped here on a Friday night to grab a quick bite since it was on the way to a bar we were going to for my friend's birthday. We were sat for a table of 3 and shared a seared scallop risotto, which was fantastic. I definitely was eyeing the other dishes, but maybe for another day. The seared scallop risotto was cooked to perfection and the scallops were pretty big! The dish perfectly complimented itself. The ambiance was fantastic! It was much more of a formal setup and the restaurant is quite fancy, but that's how you know you're getting quality food.
Ben Paris has a bustling café atmosphere, with plenty of people and a lively energy that makes it feel like a popular weekend brunch spot. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the Wagyu burger, both of which came with a small serving of crispy, delicious fries. The food was enjoyable and flavorful, but the portion sizes were a little on the smaller side. While we enjoyed our meal, paying close to $105 for two entrées, a tea, and a cocktail during weekend brunch left me feeling a little underwhelmed in terms of value. One thing to keep in mind is parking, it can be difficult to find in the area, so come with plenty of extra time if you're driving and expect to spend some time looking for a space.
Our experience at Ben Paris was nothing short of exceptional! Our server was fantastic- she had the perfect balance of friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout our meal. We enjoyed a cocktail and then bottle of wine - highly recommend checking out the red bottle list - very reasonable prices for some exceptional bottles! Apps: Fritters and Brussels - both so good! Fritters had some nice heat and were perfectly breaded and cooked... the Brussels had just the right balance of bacon and balsamic. Main: we shared the NY Strip and wow! It was served on a bed of feta (?) that was creamy and amazing. Dessert - chocolate mousse type thing that melted in our mouth. Next time you are seeing a show at the Moore Theater up the street - look no further than Ben Paris!
The Ben Paris is a restaurant that is apart of the State Hotel on 1501 2nd Ave, Seattle Washington. It is recommended to reserve a table as it is seemingly a popular spot to eat and drink. I do believe that they can accommodate walk-ins accordingly. If you're driving into the city to visit the restaurant, there is a parking garage across the street, also you will be a block from the Pike Place Market. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly host named Evan. We were escorted to a nice table near the kitchen where I was able to catch a glimpse of the kitchen, and where the food is picked up to be delivered to the patrons. Evan, gave us the rundown on who our table attendant was and so on. Evan was very gracious and welcoming, he even complimented my eyewear. Jacob was wonderful and very kind as we had lots of questions regarding menu items and beverages. I really appreciated Jacob for suggesting things that he has enjoyed from the restaurant. What I like about the restaurant and the service is that all of their team members are pleasant, approachable and friendly. It's like they enjoy being there. Our food was delivered in a timely manner and was decent but we were not blown away by the meals. I'd say that we all enjoyed the experience and the atmosphere of the restaurant and team members. If I stand correct, I think the restaurant is known for its fanciful wallpaper. Which was pretty cool. There is a full bar on site just to the north of the dining area. The restrooms are located 1 level below the restaurant and it requires the use of the elevator. To the right of the elevator is the lobby to the hotel. Check out the beautiful table and the wall. Thank you Ben Paris for the lovely Birthday Brunch Experience.
Nothing bad but nothing that great either! A pretty average experience Food was so ordinary .. I ordered the Ben Paris breakfast ($25) and it tasted like a free continental breakfast made up to look pretty. It didn't taste bad! But it wasn't anything special too, but that has its own charm too, I suppose. You eat exactly what you expect, but nothing more. Service was average as well. Our server never came to check up on us. She was kind, but I had to look for her to order a coffee, get the check, etc.
Had never heard of this place, but someone found it online. Inside The State Hotel, it's a cute place with great staff. Mushroom hash - 4/5. For the first couple bites, I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. There was more cabbage than mushroom and the sauce was...ok. But I ended up eating almost the whole thing so I must've enjoyed it. I'd give it a 3.5, if I could. Fried Chicken Sandwich - 4/5. A little greasy, but flavorful and loved the kimchee with it. I'd go again, but it is on the pricier side. With a glass of wine and juice, bill came out to $85 with tip. A little much for brunch. read more
I'm obsessed with this place now. I have always wanted to try it, and I finally did. I got the Ben Paris Breakfast for brunch, and I'd say it was pretty worth it. The eggs, as well as the parfait, tasted so fresh. It's probably the best I've had in such a long time. The restaurant was getting full as we were getting ready to leave, so we came at the perfect time. The service was good and fast. It wasn't too noisy, but it had a cozy vibe. They have a different brunch menu weekdays vs. weekends. So I'll definitely be back to try their weekend brunch! read more

Came here for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had a wonderful time. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and make our event a breeze. We ordered an Avocado Toast, Carnita Bowl, and a Fried Chicken Sandwich. All of these are solid options but I'd definitely recommend the chicken sandwich because of kimchi, would come back again for it! The whole restaurant was decorated and maintained very well with vibrant murals. An easy choice if you're in the DT Seattle area! read more

Ricotta Pancakes 5/5 Fried Chicken Sandwich 5/5 Truffle Fries 4/5 Baked Eggs 4/5 Ricotta pancakes literally melt in your mouth, more like butter mochi texture than pancakes. Fried chicken sandwich pair extremely well with kimchi, I've never had a crispier chicken sandwich. Strongly recommend! Truffle fries a bit salty but addicting. Baked eggs aren't actually eggs, just baked tomato sauce with cheese, chickpeas. Mocktails taste like sparkling juice, except for 'Taking a break'. Pretty interior with great service. Definitely returning! Overall: Fancy delicious brunch spot! Fun to come dressed up:) read more

Came for brunch with a couple of friends. The portions were surprisingly filling, especially the truffle fries were huge and super shareable. We all had leftovers to take home. I got the baked eggs, which were pretty good but nothing crazy. The peppers in the eggs blend in with the sauce but are pretty spicy. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant. The service was pretty mediocre, the waiter was not super attentive and we had to wait a while to pay. They also semi-kicked out the table next to us which was kind of weird and awkward. read more

Hi Amanda,…
I did a happy hour course tasting with a friend and we enjoyed our experiences. There were about 5-7 plates of samplers, some of which I was not able to capture down below. It was a fun experience because we got to try new foods that the chef picked out. Some dishes are great while there were some I didn't love. But that's the whole point of trying and discovering new things. We made a reservation for Thursday afternoon at 4:30 but it didn't seem busy. Maybe a little half of the restaurant was full but I still recommend making that reservation if you're interested in doing the course tasting. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and located near Pike Market Place so it's perfect to take a stroll after. If you're still curious, I would check it out. It was only $30-$40 for one person and for the amount of foods that we got, it was totally worth it! read more
I came here for brunch on my second day in Seattle. I was very excited to get the Shakshuka but was a little disappointed. I think it was a bit more sour than I would have liked. I think if you prefer it less sour, perhaps ask for less feta. The service was great though. Overall it was a decent experience. read more

I've been here twice now and each visit has just been mediocre. It took a bit for our waitress to come and take our order even though they kept passing our table. The vibes are great here, very cute and brunchy. The food is meh, we all felt like our meals were overly salted and our fries and potatoes all came out kind of cold which was disappointing. The chicken sandwich was not anything spectacular either. Not planning on coming back and I think there are better brunch spots out there for the price. read more

You deserve to eat here! The atmosphere and overall vibe of the restaurant is so friendly, modern and open. The floor to ceiling windows provide a natural lighting and perfect view of the bustling city. We were immediately greeted by Greg who was a kind and smiling face. He helped us find a seat and asked where we were visiting from. He is beyond aware of his surroundings checking in with guest, servers and the bar periodically through our whole visit. The table setups are lovely, silverware is freshly polished, linen clean and a delicate little bouquet of flowers on each table. Vera was our server, she was extremely helpful with recommendations on the menu and drink list. She was kind and friendly, made me feel like less of a tourist and more like a regular. We ordered the Ricotta Pancakes (half order). These are so yummy! I absolutely loved them and can't wait to come back to have a full order. They are light, fluffy and balanced. We also ordered the 8oz American Wagyu Beef Burger with truffle fries and the Turkey Club! The burger was outstanding, perfectly cooked and not overwhelming in flavor but I am drooling thinking of it again! I highly recommend ordering/upgrading your fries to the truffle fries. These things are to die for, perfectly crispy and crunchy with truffle and parmesan. SO GOOD. I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to travel back and try dinner! Make a reservation if you plan on trying it out as it was very busy on a Friday evening. read more

Dear Mikayala,…
My friend and I were running 20 mins late and called the restaurant, whom graciously waited for us and prepared our food quickly once we've arrived. A not well known tip is you can request to go to the rooftop of the hotel where the restaurant is located. Our waiter packed all of our food in to go boxes with all the needed sauce and utensils so we can go eat in the rooftop. Really appreciate the care and attention from the restaurant's staff. A MUST TRY drink is the Real CBD Mocktail, which was so delicious and one of the best tasty drinks I've ever had. I'm not sure if the CBD did anything to the taste lol The short ribs pasta was also very delicious, definitely one of the better pasta places in Seattle. We also got fries, which was decent. It didn't impressed me but good enough. In genera great food and service! read more
So sad, one of those places that is reviewed extremely well but it's just OK. I would go back to try their dinner, but much anticipated brunch was just above average. The menu is pretty limited especially when it comes to cocktails and coffee options. There is beautiful ambience but again the food is just OK. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich, the pancakes, and smoked salmon omelette. I did like the fried chicken and had spices on the breading but there wasn't enough sauce and the bun was bland. The omelette came with two roasted potatoes? Just a weird pairing. Who needs two potatoes. I don't even like one. This seems like the kind of place you go with your girlfriends if you haven't explored a lot of brunch in the area. Although Seattle is more of a happy hour city in Portland is more brunch this is still just OK. I still think Harry's Beach house on Alki Beach is the best brunch in the area so far. read more

Cute breakfast restaurant connected to a hotel, there were a lot of tables but the space was smaller so it felt a bit crowded. We called in for a reservation at 1 and got seated around 1:15, and service was quick. Food was good, but at ~$20 a plate, I was hoping for maybe something more to our plates? They seemed like typical standard dishes. We also ordered the mimosa carafe for the table, and while it was delicious and strong, the carafe itself was small and not completely worth the $56 we paid. read more

Almost canceled our reservation due to timing. We're so glad we didn't. This place is great. The menu seemed limited, but reading the descriptions of the dishes, we knew there was alot of thought put into those recipes. I ordered the braised short ribs, and found it to be very tender and savory. My lady ordered the grilled octopus. Wow! This dish was popping with flavor and nicely spiced. The Hush puppies? Long John Silver doesn't have anything on these puppies. Jalapeño flavored, and the creamy pimento dip was amazing. The staff was very friendly, and the prices were lower than what I'm accustomed to paying for this quality. Our only regret is that we aren't local, otherwise we'd become regulars. read more

One of my favorite brunch spots in Seattle! Ben Paris is located perfectly next to Pike Place Market, giving you plenty of activities to do before and after you eat. It's a stylish restaurant offering a great brunch menu. I really enjoyed every item I tried! The Parmesan Truffle Fries were so crispy and came right out of the fryer. I couldn't stop eating them. The Pork Carnitas bowl was flavorful. However, I think my favorite dish was the Ricotta Pancake. I normally don't like super sweet items for breakfast and generally steer away from pancakes, but this one was perfect! The edges were crispy and the middle was fluffy and light. The pancake wasn't overly sweet and was perfectly paired with fresh berries. I would definitely order this again! Service was incredible. They do get pretty busy so the wait for food can be a little long but the food is well worth the wait. I also suggest getting a reservation if possible! read more

Hello, Angela!…
The food was better than expected. Service was so so friendly and well worth the visit. Ambiance was very swanky and upscale. I enjoyed my food & the company I was with. Would recommend checking out. The Burrata was delicious & the burger was literally melting in my mouth. Would have been 5 star just was too much oil on the burger ensemble. Our waitress was really nice so shoutout to her. I had informed them I was celebrating a birthday for a friend & was hoping for a candle or something but they didn't ask about the note I had made on the reservation. Overall, 70% chance I'd come back - not bc of service just the food selection was American-ish read more

Hello Tamy!…
Celebrated my birthday brunch here with 10 girls and it was convenient to make the reservation. Food and drinks were all really good as well as the ambiance. My only complaint is that they had a lot of fees. Not suree what the surcharge was for as well as automatic gratity TAX. Also the gratuity should've been taken from the total charge pre tax. I feel like it's their way of taking more money which is a little dishonest. read more
My girlfriend and I celebrated our 5 year at the state hotel. Ben Paris was nice enough to supply canned wines and macaroons to our room upon our arrival. Ben Paris is probably the best brunch spot in downtown Seattle! It's located right by Pike's Place so it gets pretty busy, so I recommend making a reservation if you plan on coming. Our group stopped by Ben Paris for lunch during our visit to Seattle. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed the small design details and custom, bright and fun wallpapers featured on each level of the building. The drinks and food presentation were super aesthetic and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We started with the burrata cheese and the focaccia. The burrata, in combination with the beets and peaches was super tasty. The focaccia was surprisingly soft but still maintained the right amount of crunch, while being buttery and well seasoned. We also ordered the cobb salad which was huge! Almost too big, I felt like we all wasted a lot of it but appreciated how packed it was with fresh ingredients. I also tried the fried chicken sandwich which I instantly wished I had ordered as my meal. It was phenomenal! It had cabbage kimchi, pickled cucumber, and spicy mayo. The ingredients paired so well together, and I would say it's probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever had! I highly recommend this stunning spot and can not wait to return to try their brunch, because I've heard amazing reviews of their weekend menu. read more

A beautiful location with high ceilings, gorgeous wall paper, a nice bar to look at a view of the main streets leading you to Pike Street Market. Dined here for brunch on a Friday afternoon. Easily found parking close by in a nearby parking garage, just steps from Pike Street Market and all of the shops. Our group had the veggie hash, the beet cured salmon bagel and lox, and the breakfast sandwich. To me the breakfast sandwich was the star. The potatoes were cooked perfectly. I deconstructed my sandwich and could really taste the house made chive biscuit. We shared a bottle of rose and never felt rushed to leave. Our server was great, I'm blanking on her name but she was very attentive and was able to give us great recommendations with the food. If we lived here I'd say it's a great place to bring people visiting from out of town. I would definitely return when I come back to Seattle. read more

We were able to get a table reservation for 7pm on a Friday night. Food and drinks were surprisingly good. Nice date night vibes in there. The grilled octopus was tender and delicious. The fried chicken came in large portions and were out-of-this-world crispy with great flavors. I liked my not-your-mama-fruit-cake cocktail - not too sweet.
