I've always wanted to try a cruffin after seeing so many of them on Instagram, but I never knew where to find one around here. When I saw them on Bellden Cafe's website, I immediately put on my flip flops and was out the door. The cruffin did not disappoint. It's nice and flakey with sugar and Nutella. The Nutella is located mostly in the base of the cruffin, which is unfortunate because I want to get some Nutella in every bite. But in all seriousness, the cruffin is awesome. Paired it with a mocha, which was delicious and great for dipping the cruffin. Everything at the pastry counter looks amazing. These baked goods are enormous! The giant Kouign Amann caught my eye and will be my next treat for sure. They have avocado toasts and paninis too! If your looking for a bright, roomy coffee shop to kill some time or get some work done, this is the place. Really great beverages, food and interior! Everything was delish. The owner was so kind and it was great to meet her. I am a huge coffee snob and was quite impressed with this spring latte (lavender can sometimes taste too floral and soapy in a latte but this was a great balance with oat milk and espresso without being overly sweet). Avocado toast was also yummy. Great spot to sit and do work although when we arrived it was quite crowded so the only downside was a long wait for both coffee and food items-- but a very worthwhile wait! Came here for brunch with the fam. Food was really good. We tried 4 different types of toasts, acai bowl, and several lattes and all were delicious. However, service could have been better. 1) My dad was finishing up his morning cup of joe as he came in but got kicked out bc he was holding coffee from another place. This is a really cute and quaint cafe with plenty of work space, which is perfect for studying. The cafe is really clean and well maintained, and there's a bright atmosphere to it. There's free wifi, and a couple of outlets, so it's really easy to stay here and work for a couple of hours. The tables are very large, so there's plenty of work space. There's also two partially sanctioned off corners if you want to work with a group in a more private area, which is really unique. The place wasn't very crowded when I was there in the weekend, which was really nice. There's good ambient noise, and it's not loud at all. I got their iced Spring time latte, which I think had lavender and lemon in it. The flavor isn't overpowering and it's hard to taste the different flavors, but it does give it a nice floral aroma. I found some lemon zest at the bottom of my drink, so even if it were flavored with syrup it felt very fresh. I really like Bellden Cafe! Bellden is a newer coffee shop in Bellevue. It's a great looking cafe with a very welcoming feel. I ordered a lavender mocha here and loved it! It had a great taste to it and was served at a perfect temperature. For food I ordered the avocado toast. I keep seeing avocado toast photos on Yelp, so I had to get some since I had the opportunity. It tasted great! The cafe also has rooms if you are coming with a group and want more privacy. Employees were all very friendly and nice. When you want a little more then that coffee chain that was started here after an early morning flight and arrival. What do you do? Ask the locals. I really like the space and the open environment. The cafe has two selected drinks that they would donate part of the proceeds from selling those drinks to designated charities. We were searching for açaí bowls and came across this cute spot in downtown Bellevue. The location isn't ideal for sitting at a table on the sidewalk because it's not in the heavily foot trafficked area on Main, but it was still nice enough to enjoy our breakfast. I have never had hemp milk and when I asked the barista about it, she was kind enough to offer me a sample. Christmas in a cup was not over sweet or too cinnamon-y. It had the perfect balance. Lame person that I am, didnt want to order one, but good thing my friend did. Might order another one when I get to go again. Wish this place was closer to home. I've been seeing construction for a new place right near my apartment complex for a while now-- and I'm glad Bellden café is open for business in such a convenient location! The atmosphere: This place just opened, so it's still fairly quiet. I loved that even though Bellevue Way can get pretty busy, the café seems like it's tucked away in a little nook. There's lots of natural lighting, plenty of seating (both tables and barstools), and even 2 conference tables that are in the corner. If I was living in Bellevue longer, I could definitely see myself studying here or just enjoying a book on a rainy Saturday pretty often. I was just here with a friend chatting, but I definitely saw a few just reading, so if you're either looking to meet with a friend or have quiet time to yourself, Bellden café is the perfect spot. It's clean, well-maintained, and just a very cute café. The drinks: My friend and I got the "spring latte", per the Barista's recommendation, which was a latte with house-made lavender syrup and dash of lemon zest. I highly recommend that latte! The drink was strong, but sweet, so if you're looking for a perfect springtime sip, definitely get one of the iced lattes. I think it may have been a tad too sweet for me, so if you don't have a huge sweet tooth, I'd let the barista know. They also have good syrup options, so definitely ask for the baristas for service. I took a couple of friends here again, and they got the drip coffee, and they mentioned that it was pretty strong, so Bellden Café definitely serves quality coffee! IMHO, the coffee is pretty pricey, but considering the great location/great coffee, it's worth a stop to check it out and see if you like the coffee. Next time: I'm trying the pastries! The service: Absolutely wonderful! The barista who was there was very nice, helped with recommendations, and made sure that we tasted our drinks/we liked them. Bellden cafe has been on my list for over a year now!! I finally had the time to go today and it was worth the trip! To begin with there is a parking garage! Make sure you know the parking spot number so the baristas can validate it when u go in and order! If you plan on staying for more than two hours, validate the spot again! I went in Sunday morning and it was packed but towards noon it got quiet! The baristas were really nice and understanding. I ordered the pink hummus avocado toast with almonds and a side of fruit! And it was really tasty, and fulfilling! I also got the "spring time latte" and I hate to say I just wasn't a fan.. especially because this was apart of their speciality to drinks which they donate to 2.5% to charity. So I ended up asking to switch my drink to a mocha which the baristas were happy to do. But then I didn't like my mocha either.. UGH I think it may be the espresso but other than the tasty of the coffee I enjoyed my visit! As of for the price my toast and drink total came out to be $20.02, which yes is on the pricey side but I thought for the quality and quantity it was worth it. I've tried both the beet hummus avocado toast as well as the PNW toast and I have been underwhelmed both times. The PNW toast had way too much cream cheese and both the avocado toast as well as the PNW were on bread that was toasted for way so long that biting into it felt like I would break a tooth.
