As someone who is admittedly unable to appreciate good coffee I often struggle with Cafe reviews, but after the experience I had on a Thursday early morning at Bellden I can certainly appreciate this local spot for both their food and drink. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Both the service and atmosphere at Bellden are brilliant. To compliment fast and friendly servers you have a great array of seating ranging from tables and bars to more private spaces for working. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Prices at Bellden were reasonable across the board, and my sandwich came to $5.95 while by Chai Tea Latte was $4.35. It wasn't enough food for what I'd call a hearty breakfast, but it certainly did the trick for what was essentially $10. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? My Chai Tea Latte was excellent, and while I can't appreciate good coffee, I certainly can appreciate a good chai tea latte. My Hello Sunshine chorizo breakfast sandwich was okay, and was essentially on par with what you could find at Starbucks. Single Star. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I was coffee shop hopping and had Bellden on my list for so long and finally got to try it. I can say this is the perfect coffee shop to get work done. Service: The two girls behind the counter were very helpful when it came to deciding what I wanted to order and they were super sweet and smiling. this makes me want to come back. Food/Drink: I got the pink avo toast and spring time latte. Pink avo toast- It has pink hummus and avocado on top with chili flakes and some other things. I know some of the reviews below said the toast is not that great but I am from California and I honestly think this was probably one of the best Avocado toasts I've had at a coffee shop and not my own kitchen. The bread was warm and all the flavors complimented each other. IF you want a kick ask for extra chili flakes and it really added some extra flavor and there is salt near the spoons/forks area and adding a little of that will complete the entire thing. Spring Time Latte- It was good, but I wouldn't say exceptional. The drink got cold really fast and I lost interest in drinking it. Not really sweet. Not my type of drink, but there are plenty of other options. Decor/Seating: The inside is super cute and modern and there are a bunch of tables, bar style seating and 2 small study rooms that are very convenient if you have more than 2 people. I was able to sit in one and it was nice to have some what of excluded room but still feel like I am in a coffee shop and not library. I rarely write reviews but I have to for this one. I LOVED their Home for the Holidays coffee, and I'm someone who usually only drinks Americanos and does't like milk and sugar in coffee. It was perfect, not too sweet and really hit the spot. The PNW smoked salmon toast was lovely too. The barista was super sweet and friendly. I adored her. And parking in the basement of the building was validated, although it took me a while to figure out that they had parking (an essential in this part of the city). The only thing that would make it perfect is to have softer music playing. Why are all cafes in Seattle so loud now? I'm sad that I can't easily go to this coffee, considering it's on the eastside. I hope they open a Seattle branch someday. read more

The espresso was acidic, not something I like for my coffee, and unfortunate for a cafe. I ordered the avocado toast and other members of my party ordered the seasonal fruit toast. Presentation was beautiful--I think that's where most of the cost of the dish factors in. Beautiful plating with a flower and very neatly "decorated." As other Yelpers have mentioned, the toast is rather simple, nothing special about the bread which is, funnily enough, not even toasted. However the flavor combinations are excellent. The avocado toast had lemon zest which added a lovely citrus note. Overall I would describe it as having a "clean," simple and enjoyable taste. My party members enjoyed the seasonal fruit toast, which at this time is a topping of fresh strawberries. They made no special remarks about their lattes. Not quite what I was expecting. Definitely not going to come back here. My husband and I were looking for a brunch and coffee place we've never been to before and I saw pretty great pictures/reviews of this cafe so we stopped by. The line was pretty long to order and the place was pretty full so I was excited about what the rave was all about. My husband wanted to order a breakfast sandwich but they said they were all out of breakfast sandwiches and only their toasts were available. We were a little disappointed because most of their toasts didn't come with meat and we were pretty hungry. So we ended up ordering two PNW toasts because they had salmon. We wait over 30 minutes for our toasts and then they come to the table with 1 slice of bread CUT IN HALF and give each one to my husband and I. I'm looking at the pictures on Instagram and Google of the PNW toasts they have posted that have 2 very large pieces of toast with a side salad or fruit and wondering what the heck we spent 30+ dollars on?! It seemed like they ran out of food supply and were trying to hide it. Just let us know and refund us our money so we can go somewhere else that actually has food! Came here for the charity drink specials! I got the let me love you latte and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of cinnamon in the drink (i love me some cinnamon). My mom ordered the cappuccino and it was the most well frothed/steamed milk i've had around here. Micro foam perfectionnnn. Had a mixed experience at this place. Was the avo toast tasty? Yes. Was I full at the end? No. Was it worth the cost? Not really. But do I expect avo toast to be affordable? Still wrestling with that one. Combined with the fact that their acai machine was broken and they ran out of utensils and we had to wait until more were washed, I am lukewarm about this place. But, as I've said before, I do like to give myself a couple tries before I write a place off, so I'll probably be back for another shot at some point. read more

I am a firm believer that food tastes better when its presented well (all sensory organs needs to be stimulated) and this plate was amazing! I had to have my sister snap a pic fast because I was about to devour! Second item we chose was the PNW Toast: Its a classic and honestly, you cannot claim any toast abilities if you mess this up. Like seriously. And they didn't! The toast was lathered in cream cheese with a good portion of smoked salmon and that Himalayan pink salt did it again! On to the coffee! I got the spring time Latte. who can say no to lavender! Again, presentation with the heart shape in the middle was a nice touch but the FLAVOR! holy mother...the lavender complimented the coffee so well I honestly do not think i can describe it. I love the avocado toast here! They have a great locally sourced tea selection and I enjoyed their matcha latte as well. Knocking 1 star for the overdone industrial chic decor with uncomfortable / cold stools, I wish it were more cozy. Came in with my sister for a small brunch date. And we both loved this place, were definitely going to be coming back to try more different coffee flavors and have more of their toasts. The avocado toast was 10/10 I loved how it wasn't overdone with spices or sauces, it was the perfect amount of everything. The PNW toast 9/10 very tasty and amazing portions, would get again. Happy New Year! Thank you for being open this morning. This café has an excellent for their food safety rating posted with pride on their window. Well deserved and proven. Their display of pastries was hard to choose from because they all looked so good. We ordered the Kings Cake which is a pastry about 12" in diameter filled with an almond paste and a hidden non edible jewel surprise inside plus a cool paper crown. We ordered the classique and o'brien brioche sandwiches. I recommend both of these. What a great find this morning and thanks to yelp we found a new bakery/cafe to treat ourselves. read more

These guys brew very good coffee from Oregon (you can actually guess it by a distinctive taste most Oregon's coffee brands have). I've been there four days in a row, and my latte was always properly made. So not only the beans are good, but baristas are also skilled. And to complement the drink, they have absolutely unique and tasty stuffed donuts (they had raspberry, chocolate and caramel fillings). That's probably the best place in southern part of Bellevue downtown to go for a cup of coffee in the early morning, but I can't give them five stars because of the combination of three things: - this place is expensive. For example, 12 once latte with 2 donuts cost me more than big cup of delicious Caffe Umbria with amazing huge tiramisu in Tutta Bella. Wouldn't be an issue by itself - choice of food for breakfast is rather poor: just toasts and sandwiches. Yes, I'm spoiled by Feast & Forest, but with their price tags, I'd expect some better choices so I don't have to go to some other place to have my breakfast before my coffee - Shaky tables. That is the thing I detest in coffee shops. I don't pay $4.5 for a cup of latte to spill half of it on the faulty furniture. Great location in Bellevue, no hassle parking, and quality coffee. Not your average coffee shop, the real value is in the food that they prepare. It's not gourmet but it makes a good lunch time snack or lazy weekend treat, and it's at a comfortable price relative to Bellevue. Visited a week ago with my friend and the food was delicious! Parking was kind of hard, but once we entered the store, the girl working told us that they validate parking for the garage in the building! So I'll have to do that next time! My friend got the PNW toast (smoked wild salmon, cream cheese, fresh herbs, olive oil, lemon vinaigrette, and pink Himalayan salt) and a latte I got the ABC toast (peanut butter, sliced banana with hemp seeds, and chocolate syrup drizzle) with a hot coco (they have a variety of substitute milks if dairy is a problem which I loved). The food was delicious! Mine was just a bit messy with the peanut butter and chocolate syrup drizzled, but delicious nonetheless! The coffee for a thumbs up from my friend who's actually quite particular about where she purchases it from and the coco was good! New favorite cafe in Bellevue. They validate parking for 2 hours in their parking garage - a total PLUS! Who wants to look for street parking? I know I don't. We went here on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. They have bar stools as well as table and chairs for seating. They have two "Conference Rooms" where you can close off from the regular cafe space. The two conference rooms are connected via a beaded curtain of sorts - so not much privacy when it comes to noise-levels. There are outlets so perfect for keeping your stuff charged up! I wa so sad that I jumped the gun when I ordered -_- I totally missed their Specialty Drinks. I ended up just ordering a basic Almond Milk Latte. It came with the usual latte art. But the bread was pretty dang hard, I had a tough time cutting through it because it was too crispy. To drink I got the iced caramel stand still, uhm yeeees! Perfect amount of sweetness. All their drinks sound yummy so I'm excited to try out more! Downside to this place is the fact that it is a little on the smaller side. I felt like most of the tables were pushed closely together. I really enjoyed my time here. My friend got the pink hummus avocado toast with a side of fruit. She ate every crumb! It looked delicious and fresh. I ordered a sugar free soy vanilla latte and it was perfection. Nice smooth flavor. The meeting rooms are definitely unique to this cafe. This is a beautiful coffee shop located in downtown Bellevue. One of the things I've been missing is discovering new places with a modern, friendly, and comfortable ambiance. And this is it! I went in to find some sort of breakfast. My original choice was a breakfast sandwich, but their oven was broken so I went with toast and the usual oat milk hazelnut late. The toast was AMAZING! A thick piece of some sort of French or artisan (super fresh) bread, topped with cream cheese and salmon. Also comes with fruit. Giving this a 4 stars because my latte was done with regular milk (and I can't handle dairy), and it took a bit to get another one. I had a very nice experience at this coffee shop, right when I walked in the door I liked the open space feel and neighborhood style seating arrangements. I decided to go for a straight up Latte (they only serve hot Lattes up to 12oz), and their Avocado Toast (it's great to offer half portions, but I went for a full portion). I did look at their treats in the display case but opted out on this occasion (seemed like most of the best items were already done for the day!). The café was reasonably full around lunch time on a weekend, but I wasn't waiting very long. The staff seemed a bit timid, but I didn't need to interact with them for very long. They were able to help me with getting my parking validated while paying for my order, which was helpful. (Parking is at the back of the coffee shop under the apartment block). My latte looked wonderful, and tasted great, but was a bit on the lukewarm side (I prefer my coffee pretty hot, but is a personal preference, I should have specified, not the stores fault!). The toast was AMAZING!! I could not get enough of it and was glad I ordered the full portion. I think it was great value for money, even if it is avocado toast!
