Dinner

The prime rib was perfection. The vegetable soup and side vegetables were delicious. The servers are always friendly. Worth the drive. Prime rib on Fridays

Great food, large portions. Ordered a breakfast and had to get half of it to go. Great prices, friendly and fast service. Great diner vibe.

I was tired, cold and just wanted something warm & tasty without having to get dressed up This is a real diner in the small town of Rogue River with all the entrees you'd expect. The portions are good size and the food is tasty with a different twist. The salmon chowder is a definitely try. It is thick, tasty with chunks of salmon and potato. Pork chops and fried chicken are good. The chicken has crunchy shards on it and the chicken is moist inside. Mashed potatoes are real. Mixed veggies have a strong seasoning that is good. Lemon meringue pie is good, too! Food is good & plenty. Service is friendly and quick. Ambiance is comfy. I would go back.

The staff are very attentive and always make the right recommendations. Every now and then I will get recommended something I haven't tried and I keep developing new favorites. The ambiance is classic 60's cafe with amazing food and service.

We actually visited this establishment for dinner and breakfast. We arrived later in the evening so there was only one elderly gentleman at the bar near the kitchen. The seating is "Seat Yourself" but we were directed as to which section. We were immediately greeted by Amber who took our drink order, and we wanted some comfort food so I ordered the pot roast with whipped mashed potatoes and roasted carrots, with the option of a green salad. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak also with mashed potatoes and he chose the navy bean soup. My salad came right away which I preferred and it consisted of your basic iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes and olives with a few strips of cheese. The pot roast was very tasty with the ends crisped nicely. The gravy was delicious and the potatoes were fluffy. The meal came with a biscuit not sure if it was home made? The portions were quite generous as my husband and I both had some food left over. He appeared to enjoy the chicken fried steak and remarked on how good the gravy tasted. We also ordered a bacon avocado burger to go for our daughter which she later remarked was quite good. Having said that we liked the food so much we decided to return for breakfast. The place was quite busy unlike the evening before. The coffee was a bit on the watery side and I got a second cup but it was also not flavorful. I ordered the waffle with two eggs over medium with bacon, which comes with three strips. My husband ordered the half Cinammon roll with scrambled eggs and bacon as the rolls are huge (see photo). Our daughter ordered the carnitas benedict which as a culinary trained chef - she remarked the meal was perfect and just as it should be with a very nicely flavored hollandaise sauce, so high marks for that. Other then the weak coffee we had to flag down the buss person to get any water as Chelsea our server just kept forgetting. All in all I preferred our dinner and would possibly return for breakfast another time. The prices are reasonable for the quality of home made food.

Hello. You may not know me, but I am famous I promise. I knew lane Stanley back in the day, and I played nutshell live with him in the bitcoin arena. We made sure we always had a cinnamon roll ready to go in the oven, primed for eating, and absolutely slathered in gorgeous whipped butter all for us. The drain train would always deliver our product straight to our tour bus, without fail. This cinnamon roll really is the thing 1982

This place is worst than 1 star. Food is horrible and service is also bad. Food was burnt and very salty. Avoid.

What my wife said - mind you, this after a week on the road from WA to SoCal and back, and having enjoyed a bevy other EXCELLENT restaurants: "we saved the best for last". Finally, our experience can be best summed up by what Kevin told me over my allergen inquiry email a week before we came in, and then again by what Alanna told us when I had follow up questions during our visit: "We'll take good care of you". And THEY DID. Punky's is a special place. Thoughtfully serving food in quality and quantity that'll make feel like you're in someone's home. We genuinely laughed out loud as a family at the jokes in the blue book at the table; my wife and I got misty eyed in the Vet room; and even though we intended to make it a quick stop, we had no problem adjusting our schedule to linger a while. We left feeling very full. In more ways than one. Thank you. We'll be back and be in touch.

Wish I lived closer so I could try more of the menu. Also conveniently located next to a Safeway gas station with good prices if you're continuing on. Definitely worth a few minutes off I-5 for a better meal than you'd get at most places along the way.

We were hungry and in a hurry. This spot was perfect. It's at the north end of town, just a short jump off the freeway and you don't need to go through the crowded downtown area. My wife had a mushroom omelette and I had a pastrami sandwich. It came out fast, looked good and tasted perfect. I really needed a sandwich like this one. A busy service staff really took care of us and we left happy . Boy we will remember this place for sure. Be sure to check for business hours.

All this is to say that I was primed to enjoy the Breadboard. Great setting and views; in addition, the staff were friendly and pleasant. I ordered their omelette Olé, which was fine. But their home fries were flavorless, and one of the keys to a good diner is having your potatoes dialed in. Nope. I ended up at a counter, because they were busy, and the table service was sticky. Eww. Not uncleaned, but an old surface that has absorbed years of dirt and grease so that no rag will correct it. A bathroom wall was also sticky. Time to close down for a few days, get a crew in there to sand some surfaces down and restain or paint things. If they did that and paid more attention to their nondescript potatoes, they would earn five stars from me. But when the counter you serve customers at is sticky and uncared for, what must the kitchen be like?
