Elmer don't have much company for lunch today

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Typical country diner vibe with strong, but mediocre diner-style coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Comprehensive menu, particularly with regard to breakfast choices, which are available all day. Perfunctory, yet polite staff to greet and seat you. Portions are decent, and, unlike the coffee, the food is quite tasty.

The service was awesome. We were there when they opened. The coffee was mediocre, but hot on a cold November morning. The triple berry pancake and bacon were delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place needs some remodeling, but it has charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Most of the booths seats were grungy looking and torn from continuous wear.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Rolled into town for business and was craving the German pancake here and man oh man it did not disappoint! I ordered the combo with eggs and bacon, and my husband ordered the hungry rancher and we shared everything. All the meats are delightful! Bacon is great, ham is one of the best, and sausage is nice. The eggs are cooked to perfection as ordered, and the hashbrowns were crispy and tasty. The biscuit is so dang soft and pillowy, to die for! And of course, my beloved German pancake with powdered sugar, butter, and lemon is the star of the show! It's majestic! Coffee was extra strong and we loved that. What a fantastic brunch we had here, thank you Elmer's!

Elmers is an Oregon diner chain. It is reliable, tasty and with good service. Their clientele tends towards the gray hair side, but that's okay by me because I am gray haired. My wife and I have eaten here often. Their Benedict's, crepes and breakfasts are delicious! They have a superb crabacado omelette and I also love their pancakes! Stop by for reliable, tasty and friendly diner food.

The Stuffed Hash Browns, with fruit and a biscuit on the side.

I was pleasantly surprised by this experience! I was staying at a motel next door, and was too tired to drive around looking for a place to eat dinner. I checked out the menu online, and had already decided on breakfast for dinner before I walked through the door. I was quickly seated and was impressed by the friendly service and comfortable, quiet atmosphere. I ordered the Stuffed Hash Browns, which included the aforementioned hash browns, along with a biscuit and seasonal fruit. The hash browns were thick shredded potatoes with cheesy scrambled eggs, stuffed with chopped up sausage and bacon, all topped with country gravy. I noticed and appreciated that they used Northwest products, like Tillamook Cheddar and Zenner's sausage. It was a delicious meal! Everything was well seasoned and fresh-tasting. The biscuit was also surprising good, soft and with a great flavor. The fruit was simple, just banana, grapes and pineapple, but it hit the spot. I was expecting a passable meal and ended up with a memorably delicious one!

What an amazing experience at DASSH Bakery in Grants Pass!…read more From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the owners, a husband-and-wife team who clearly pour their hearts into this bakery. Everything is made fresh, and you can absolutely taste the difference. We ordered the Local Bagel, and it was phenomenal. It had bacon, aioli, and a variety of fresh ingredients that came together perfectly. I honestly can't remember everything that was on it because I was too busy enjoying it! The bagel itself was fresh-made and absolutely delicious. We also tried the ham bagel sandwich with cheddar, ham, and honey mustard, and it was just as fantastic. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. For a sweet treat, we had the blueberry scone, and it was perfection--flavorful, tender, and clearly made from scratch. Their coffee menu is impressive as well. They can make just about any latte you want and offer a great selection of syrups, including cookie butter, vanilla, lavender, and many more. They also have plenty of milk options, including oat milk, almond milk, whole milk, and regular milk. The bakery itself was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very inviting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with outdoor seating available, including two two-top tables and a larger six-top table, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your food and coffee. The service was impeccable. Since the bakery is run by the owners themselves, things may take a little longer during busy times, but that wasn't an issue at all for us. The care, attention, and quality they put into every order are well worth the wait. If you're in Grants Pass, DASSH Bakery is an absolute must-visit. Fresh-made food, outstanding coffee, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and wonderful owners who truly care about their customers. Easily a five-star experience, and we'll definitely be back! Our seating was in the bar downstairs which was very busy and noisy which was ok for 2 of us unfortunately 2 of our party were deaf and that was an issue for visiting. Our dinners: clam linguine, small clams in butter wine sauce was good, lots of broth and noodles could have had more clams. Dinner salads were great, big, crisp and fresh. Hubby had the meatballs with whipped potatoes, not a big meal but very tasty. I often buy ribeye steaks at the Cartwright's market and they are wonderful. Cartwright's owns Taprock restaurant so I figured that's the steak they'd serve but no it was thin and tough like a top round steak, it was cooked med rare that I ordered. It wasn't cheap, won't order again. Margaritas were very good. Service was excellent and there was lots of hired help in all areas. Our waitress was attentive, personable and we enjoyed her service.
