Cocktail for brunch...yes please.
James D.

Ok, we pulled off the highway and searched out a breakfast spot. This was a nice and easy find. The decor is very festive, bright, wild...fun! Music, lights, atmosphere with truly friendly staff. I believe they have barstools on one end of the restaurant but we sat on the opposite side. Anyway, we were only in for a quick bite. Food came out quick, nicely plated and delicious. The fresh fruit in the winter was mind blowing. We got here just in time as the place started to pack up. Bellies full, we made room for the incoming.

Crepes and Trio Pancakes.

The food was delicious and very appealing to the eye. The customer service was good as-well, the wait time was short. The matcha latte is also definitely worth trying!

Eggs Divorciado and Chile Tequilles

Having eaten in many restaurants throughout Mexico and the United States, I would list this one as one of the best! There are all of the classic dishes and the breakfast and dinner menu and their sauces are excellent. Most Americans will find both salsa Roja and salsa Verde very approachable - not too spicy but not bland. I cannot speak to the Mole nor other sauces because I haven't tried them yet but I would suspect they are good. Atmosphere is very cheerful and well done in a modern architectural style . There are classic Mexican works of art and a professionally lit up full bar. My wife and I both thought the house margarita was excellent. We had Herardo as both our breakfast and dinner waiter and he was perfect - including very witty and entertaining! What more could anybody hope for in a restaurant?

The Best brunch! Crepes were excellent! Best coffee, I didn't even need sugar or cream! The service was excellent. The restaurant, was clean! Coming from Ashland, we will definitely be back!

Such cute atmosphere.

We were looking for a new Mexican restaurant in town we found it at Frida's Cute little place with great tacos, margaritas and service. The service was wonderful, very attentive. Restaurant was clean and a joy to spend our time there. We just had to take our Instagram picture taken on the pink couch. Looking forward to our next visit.

5 stars decor, vibe and music 4 stars for steam distillery…read moretasty drinks 3 stars for super slow service and 3 stars food from That One Place. Have been to Steam Distillery now on multiple occasions since they opened and continue to hope that service time will improve. The Lemongrass Collins is my absolute favorite cocktail on their menu, its just unfortunate that the service is extremely slow. There is typically only 1 or 2 employees handling the entire space and since the drinks are all crafted, between waiting to get your order taken and then waiting for the drinks to arrive, you're looking at 15 to 20 minutes. For the first time of these visits, we made reservations for the now reservation only Sunday menu. Reservation was at 4 and you had to place your order at the time of making your reservation days ahead. We didnt get our meals until 445. While the menu and presentation were amazing, the taste was not there. Lobster was very overcooked and lacked flavor in the seasoning, prime rib cut was impressive at 16oz but was cooked perfect and thankfully was served with some type of horseradish cream. The potatoes were stated as being a mashed potatoe type but we're not a mash in my opinion at all. It was a half super chunky scoop with the sour cream and butter kind of hidden in the middle.

My wife had come across some chat and pics from the resident restaurant here "That One Place" and…read moreso we searched it out- actually our first visit was last week right after we left the gym...lol, just wanted to take a peek inside, but the atmosphere and people were so inviting, we took a table for a quick bite. The food (my brisket taco) and my wife's shrimp tacos, were just incredibly delicious AND good-sized. I've had Brisket in Texas and in Tennessee, and this brisket was seriously the best of them all that I've had before. We'd been looking for just the right spot to have a 30th wedding anniversary dinner. One local place (by the river) has great food but can't seem to get a ribeye right. The other with a NewYork motif, served me a hideous ribeye a few months ago...so we wanted something else. KING on food, and ambiance secondary. Don't let Steam Distillery fool you- the causal steampunk- meets-British Pub vibe is not a ragged presentation, but a carefully crafted and executed place to sit and relax. SO laid back; and in a very special way, feels like home. We contaced April (That One Place Owner) to get some details before we came down, she's such a loving 'people person', and it shows not just in her demeanor, but the genuine care & love imbued into the dishes she serves. Three days after our recon visit, my wife and returned on 10/19 to celebrate our 30th anniversary few days early. Steak (Ribeye) and Lobster is what we both ordered. THE BEST RIBEYE STEAKS we've had in Grants Pass, right here, and BY a WIDE MARGIN!!!! The Lobster was sweet, and the twice-baked potatoes were stupendously delish. Will we be back? ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME. (??) MY wife told he she's quitting cooking on Sundays so we can come here. The patrons- good, salt of the earth, local folks who are very gregarious without being too much so- we had table o Casey was an attentive huge blessing serving at our table, we lacked for NOTHING. Jess behind the bar was awesome. My wife loved her Rogue Roasters Espresso Martini. Just over the top. And... April managed to come out of the kitchen so we could meet here in person- hugs for everyone. What a blessing she is, and she and her husband have an INCREDIBLE thing going here. DON'T MISS IT!!! The food they serve truly reflects not only the quality of the food itself, but more importantly the care and talent of the owners and kitchen staff. Celebrating a 30th wedding anniversary IN A PUB? Lol, with Steam Distillery & resident kitchen 'That One Place' serving the food they do, we wouldn't have it any other way. I'll post a pic of my wife's Shrimp tacos, and my Steak & lobster plate to get you salivating....it's the least I can do.

There's a cool wood-fired oven for pizza, which was a fun process to watch. I ordered the patty melt, which is something I never order, but I was in a rush to decide & did one of those, "I'll have what he's having" things when my husband ordered his patty melt. We're big seltzer water people, so when we went to order a seltzer and the lady told us it was free and self-serve, I was elated. The food didn't take very long & it was tasty looking! The sandwich was cut in half with smashed burger meat overflowing past the bread. It was glorious. The part of the plate that wasn't dominated by melty goodness was filled with with well-seasoned and crisp homemade fries. I could smell how delicious everything was the moment the moment the plate was set down in front of me. Flavor & texture of all the things exceeded expectations. The patty melt had layers of crispy fried onions that made for a lovely and tasty first-bite surprise, & continued to bring joy with each subsequent bite. Every there was incredibly nice and friendly. Dining there was so easy and lovely. Would love to come back the next time we pass through!

If you go outside in the back there's another room with 2 pinball machines ( yay!) , darts and pool tables. Oh and a jukebox. The only thing they could improve is the presentation of alcoholic drinks. Get some proper martini glasses . I don't want my dirty vodka martini in a plastic cup or wrong glass.
