Debby's Diner is a true blast from the past. This isn't your ordinary diner. There's plenty of fun here. You can enjoy the 50's music in the background while staring at pictures from James Dean, Elvis Presley etc. There's also Coca Cola memorabilia, Route 66 souvenirs. If you have a big appetite then this is the right place for you. My favorite item was the roast beef sandwich with the cheese crust and the side of loaded potato soup. The second item I enjoy was the John Wayne burger. And the studebaker is what you get if you wake up with a growling stomach. The chicken fried steak wasn't bad but it just not my jam. Yea this place needs some help. Friendly server, but so many mistakes. I get it though, she said they lost a bunch of people. I can deal with slow service if the foods good, but it was definitely lacking. My dish had zero seasoning, just white potatoes, corned beef, and eggs. Biscuit was dry as a bone, the server said it came out of the microwave. Lastly, I ordered a cinnamon roll that was also super dry and had cold frosting on top. They were very kind to me on Mothers Day. I have trouble communicating pretty much always. They discreetly told me not to be asking other patrons for lunch. When I explained it was me trying to buy other patrons lunch because I getting nervous in a crowd sometimes and I didn't want to be alone because everyone in the world was in there and I haven't been in a restaurant since way before COVID-19. Took my family for breakfast today and what a pleasant experience. Diner was clean and by the looks of all the people they had in at that time, it had to be good. And it was! Food was good and generous portions. The diner has the retro decor, with plenty of counter seatings, booths and tables & chairs. The service staff were attentive and friendly. Most of the food were named after movie stars which was interesting. We had a hamburger and a sandwich both were delicious. We chose salad as our side dish, they were good size salad came separately on a plate not just a little bit stuffed onto the corner of the plate. We would definitely come back to eat again. Parking has always been good for the bike. Big servings and good coffee and food. Service has always been good and located next to the Harley shop. Said they had gravy, they didn't have gravy. Said they had chicken, didnt have chicken. I got this nasty thick white sauce, must have been water and flour. Their servers are 70 year old women who leave for 15 mins at a time and then they don't hear what you ask for. So you go through your meal without 50% of what you ask for. I'm glad you made it thru the fire but you should try... like you should try, because you are not trying to be anything right now, it's pathetic. read more

Unfortunately, my Mexican breakfast scramble was absolutely terrible. The beef was overcooked and tasteless, mixed with potatoes and egg. The entire combination was truly disgusting - it just didn't come together in an appetizing way. I had an early dinner at Debby's Diner. I discovered the restaurant before the notorious Almeda Wildfire that decimated the town of Phoenix, Oregon. It's no exaggeration to say that most of the town has been laid waste by the wildfire that tore through the area early in September. Debby's was mercifully spared from the inferno so I just had to eat there. If I've learned anything from the recent tragedy its that nothing is permanent so we must enjoy life while we can. Don't put things off until later, because that time may never come. The restaurant's interior is a homage to the 1950s. Colorful Formica tabletops pop over a linoleum floor of black red and white tiles. A long lunch counter faces the kitchen and red vinyl booths line the outer walls. The walls are adorned with mid 20th century bric-a-brac such as pictures of 1950's musicians and lots of muscle cars from that era. Period appropriate Rock n Roll music gently plays through strategically placed speakers. The restaurant is complete with a beautiful vintage jukebox. It's a swinging place that is really "badass" as people used to say back then. I felt right at home within this time capsule from a bygone era. The menu has recently been upgraded with 1950s flare. To wit, most of the menu items are named after 1950's icons such as James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and Elvis Presley, just to name a few. Debby's Diner serves breakfast lunch, dinner and dessert. You can take a whole pie home if you're so inclined. Unfortunately after I was finished eating all I wanted to do was recline. I had to make a difficult choice. There are many burgers to choose from. I figured if I am going to eat at a 1950's themed restaurant, I might as well order the Elvis Burger. It's well known that the "King" had a voracious and somewhat whimsical appetite. After all, he did like fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The Elvis Burger consisted of a premium ground chuck patty, bacon, sliced ham cold cuts, thousand island dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions, cheddar cheese, and last but not least, a fried egg! The burger was adeptly held together by a Hardy sourdough bread. Its a good thing too, because a standard hamburger bun would have disintegrated under the weight and numerous liquids seeping into the bread from the meat and the toppings. I couldn't help falling in love with this burger. I love me some tender beef. I'm so full you'll have to settle for a little less conversation as my burger needs time to digest. I smell like a slaughterhouse right now so I doubt I will be lonesome tonight with my cat Muffin around. I might experience a little burning love later, because I forgot to take my Rolaids. Was just what we were looking for. This place is groovy, good food, perfect hashbrowns, yum. Friendly attentive staff.

Not Impressed. Haven't been here in a few years so thought I would give it a try. Wish I had given it a pass. I've ate at some outstanding diners over the years but this is not one. Very average food and in fact my omelet was under cooked. I initially ordered the breakfast special which was a scramble and requested fruit instead of potato's. Was informed that there were not substitutions on specials. Waitress suggested an omelet which was simular to the special and with which I could have a fruit swap. I also asked for their veterans discount. When the bill came I noticed things didn't add up until the waitress explained that there was a $2.00 upcharge for the fruit swap which negated the vets discount. I absolutely hate when they don't tell you about upcharges when you place an order. There are lots of good breakfast restaurants in Medford and surrounding towns so I don't need to come back. In fact this is the only restaurant I've visited in the area that charges for the fruit swap. On a more positive note, they do have good parking. read more

Debby's was our spot for breakfast, and we were regulars until we started using a debit card to pay our bill. They waitress would change our tip to 20 percent regardless of what we wrote on the receipt after we left the restaurant. It really pissed us off and we will never eat there again! Beware! read more

The service is slow, rude, and antiquated. Today, with Oregon's Covid rates at an all-time peak, it was beyond unsafe. The entire staff in the open kitchen were completely unmasked. There is a cardboard cutout between boothes of patrons. The servers were wearing LACE masks. My wife and I have been going to this establishment for many years. This is the first real complaint that I have and I hope this is read as constructive criticism from a person who really likes this restaurant. First of all My wife and I sat at a table for well over an hour watching people who got served that were here half hour after us. When I asked the waitress about this she said in a snooty tone, food is served in the order it was received. If you forgot to put in our order I understand and if you simply stated that I would have done my best to just have patience and wait for my meal. Secondly when my breakfast finally arrived it was wrong and I can say this time the quality was close to inedible. This entire experience was unacceptable. It just took the good morning that I was having and stepped on it and it appeared nobody really cared. I left the restaurant this morning upset and hungry. So now what I get to do is on a Sunday morning when I ask my wife where we would like to go for breakfast we go through the list of places that we would like to and now you're not at the top of that list.
