It has been a few years since I visited Patti's Kitchen and it hasn't changed much except the menu is around 50% Mexican-style entrees. Most of the servings are more than i needed, so I ordered a reuben sandwich with soup and coffee. The coffee came in a huge mug from an artisan potter and the staff were happy to keep it filled. The soup was chicken rice with veggies and good but a little too salty for my taste. The sandwich, with pickle slices on the side was good. It is not a big restaurant but at noon was nearly full and noisy, fulll of friends and family. The place is showing it age but in a homey sort of way.

My friend had eaten here before & wanted to stop for lunch. She ordered a breakfast. Large, crispy bacon, hash browns that were cooked properly, eggs & toast. Waitress was really nice, attentive, helpful, answered our questions & accommodated our requests. I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger with onion rings & thought it was pretty good. Everything was fresh & generous portions. Although, it wasn't too crowded for a weekday. Atmosphere still had quite a noisy, busy, "everyone knows you", diner vibe.

We made a pick up at the airport and stopped by this little place on the way back to Roseburg. The waitress was a younger gal, born in July and was one of the best waitresses I've ever had. She gave up a tip * the larger ckn fried steak is homemade, the smaller size is pre-made so I ordered the large one and had leftovers. They were all out of the homemade wheat bread so she gave me a slice of bread with a cinnamon swirl. My daughter got the biscuits and gravy and she had leftovers as well. My son got a Breakfast burrito (huge) and a side of ham. He really liked his burrito (salsa or gravy choice for on top of the burrito). Lastly, my fiancé ordered a dbl cheeseburger with bacon and salad. He said his was really good. Pattie's has good food, great service and a good selection. We will be back.

Oh My so good!! Made perfectly the gravy for the biscuits was delicious. Nothing was over priced and a good amount of food to be full from. Will be back for sure. Total bill was $37 with food and drinks. Server was sweet and helpful. They close at 2pm.

Patti's is a mom and pop diner feel. Probably we were the only ones whom never been there, the whole Place felt like they all knew each other . Food was good and fulfilling . We orders the French toast with bLAck berries & biscuits and gravy. My partner enjoyed this very much. I wish I could've tried the lemon French toast but they no longer serve that at the moment.

Great food and service. We tried a bunch of dishes and the chef gave us a sample of his homemade roasted pork, tri tip, and handmade sausage patties. They were all delicious. There were tons of items on the menu I'd like to try!

Next time you're in Gold Hill you HAVE to try Patti's Kitchen! It's truly decadent food. Almost everything is made from scratch and you can taste it. Not only is the food amazing but the service is top-notch. I will be back again and again.

The menu is typical "make you fat" American food. If I care about my heart health, I can't eat here.

We were seated immediately, and our coffee and waters showed up almost instantly (always a great sign ). The place is a bit dated, but in a charming, homey way. I actually loved it -- cute decor and even a small jewelry area to browse while you wait... although "wait" might not even be the right word because the food comes out fast! My husband went with the chicken fried steak, and I ordered French toast from the light menu. We usually split a meal, but today we leaned into both sweet and savory -- and I'm glad we did. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. Service was quick, friendly, and on point. Our coffee cups never hit empty, which honestly deserves its own gold star. Would I return? Absolutely. This is one of those spots that feels like a local favorite for a reason -- and now it's one of ours too.

Now that we've had the opportunity to visit multiple times, I feel we can make a fair assessment of the overall menu, and Dragon Express is the emperor of Chinese food in the area. With a large menu that includes classic American Chinese options in addition to more authentic fare, this restaurant can be a crowd pleaser for a range of preferences. If you want to go with stateside standbys of orange chicken or broccoli beef, you can't go wrong. The dim sum offerings are solid: xiao long bao (soup dumplings), har gao (shrimp dumpling) or siu mai (mixed dumpling) are what you'd expect and will please the table. If you're feeling more adventurous or are banging on the table for 'authentic' options, there is a submenu for such a palate. I am semi-addicted to their La Tzi Chicken, which is like a peppercorn/chili infused and topped chicken plate. Strangely on the menu, it has no 'hot pepper' indicator, but trust me, it's more like 3 peppers. If you are a pepper belly like me, this is a great one, but otherwise, go tamer. Service always seems a bit slammed, but they do a solid job. It's probably because everyone is starting to discover this place. Takeout is a brisk business on top of the dine-in crowd. The ambience is a little meh, but that's what you get with a chinese restaurant built inside an old Bobbio's pizza location. This place is worth the drive for me. And yes, there are robots that assist in the service.

The restaurant was relatively busy and maybe they had online orders as well, it seemed our fried rice might've been forgotten and it was brought out sometime after we asked about it. We heard a bunch of tables around us also had forgotten and/or late orders. Might've been an extra busy night for them. I think the fried rice would be yummier if it had that wok hay char aroma. For southern Oregon, it's a 4. If it weren't in a small town, it would be more like a 3ish
