Food and service were amazing this morning. The place was just short of being full and we got lucky to get a table immediately (10am). Everyone was super friendly and on top of it. We were visiting family and we wanted a hearty breakfast. My family loves this place so we had to try it. It is a small diner with mostly locals. You could tell as the waitress seemed to know everyone. They have a big menu with any breakfast item you can think of. I ordered the Classic with bacon and sourdough toast. OMG there was so much food. I got a full order. Maybe I should order a half order next time. It was cooked perfectly. I was totally stuffed but loved it. You go to the Barbwire because, even if you ask for your eggs over medium, you'll get them over easy every time, because who the hell asks for eggs over medium anyway? You go there because Molly's cooking will remind you that if your yolk isn't seeping into your hash browns, and isn't dippable for your toast, are you even eating breakfast? You go there because the sausage links aren't seasoned with rosemary, but that comforting ambiguous savory taste that's more akin to a home-cooked version of Brown-N-Serve. You go to the Barbwire because the coffee, quintessential diner coffee, watered down just enough to drink multiple cups, but enough flavor to get your fix, is bottomless. Quite literally. One creamer will be enough. You go there because Keesha or Molly, with their perfect blend of somehow delightful cynicism and wit, will come to you for a warm up every five minutes, so you don't even realize how many cups you've had. You go there because the food is cooked in a such a way that you can add salt and pepper to your taste. You go to the Barbwire because Molly is always there, and will know you, and will speak to you with familiarity and unprecedented sass. You go the Barbwire because the decor doesn't change, a most consistent retreat away from the dullness of our own homes, with the lassos, and the cattle brands, and the witty, western-themed signs in the bathrooms. You go to the Barbwire because Jody, Molly's husband, though he works multiple jobs, is in the back, doing dishes.You go to the Barbwire because you can hear the kitchen talk, and Molly telling Jody to quiet down when he gets fired up and is telling one of his stories. And, when he's done with his dishes, will sit right at a booth, and a customer may walk in, and see him, and sit right down to talk with him. You go there because swearing is welcomed. You go to the Barbwire because when Jody and Molly are gone to Hawaii, their favorite retreat, their daughters are in charge. You go to the Barbwire because you will be comforted by the same group of old-timers, who have lived there their whole lives, and hear them talking about the same events and people, but will hear the evolution of their stories if you listen. You'll know them when you walk in, even if you're a newcomer-the familiarity of their presence will wash over you. You'll hear them talking about their memories as teenagers, how they were a shoeshiner on the Sunset Strip and moved up here when they were 14, and will hear the illustrated version of how Eagle Point has changed. They'll start to say hi to you if you go in enough, or give you a knowing smile and wave. You go there because you'll see Uncle Fred, and he'll say "how ya doin sweetie?". You go there because you'll see the elderly couple, the wife who can barely walk, helped up by her husband and ushered delicately out the door. You go there because you'll see a family, members of which you see separately in other various parts of their lives, interacting and conversing without phones. You go there because talking on your phone is not allowed. You go to the Barbwire because you can sip your coffee, and stare aimlessly out their large front windows, watching the passersby on Main Street, and time will disappear. You go there because you can come as you are. You go there because even if you aren't an old-timer, you feel like you're around family. You go there because they have multiple corner booths where you can hide as a quiet observer, and observe the others who you can tell do the same as you, listening to the familiar, family-reunion like conversation of the regulars. No, you don't go to the Barbwire for gourmet food or a new dining experience. You go to the Barbwire because you will know, the second that you walk in the door, that you will come to understand the heart and soul of Eagle Point. read more

Owner is extremely rude to customers who aren't local! The food is basic "diner" food, such as eggs, toast, hash browns, etc. The burgers are okay. The Reuben is fine; but I've had better Reuben's in the area. The owner constantly complains on their Facebook page about customers either not leaving a tip, or not being able to look their menu up online. I've had the owner make snarky comments towards me while I'm ordering. She'll also post rude signs in her restaurant. read more

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast & lunch in the area. So dependable! Nothing fancy just great food, large portions & good prices. I'm a fan of all the sandwiches there & the fries are some of the best I've ever had. They accommodate special requests (no gluten, lactose free). Molly & Keisha always make you feel at home. They both have a great sense of humor. Also, they always seem to get you out of there in less than an hour, no matter how crowded the place is. read more

We were in Medford and saw the pictures from the Grill. We liked the sign about the bathroom so decided to see if it was still there. Nope. But, both breakfasts were really good, fresh eggs, sausage and potatoes. Holly, the waitress who had posted the sign on the door was friendly and we had a good time. Next time, it is going to be Loco Moco for me! I haven't seen it on a menu since Hawaii. Our only snag was the man who sat down behind us and the next thing we knew, we could taste his after shave coming out of our mouths. A week or so, Yelp suggested this restaurant because we had passed through the area. Being new to this area, we didn't know it existed. Checked out the reviews and decided to try it. So glad we did! Tried hamburgers and fries. The hamburgers were very flavorful and they have the best crunchy fries. They were busy, as it was Sunday, we were seated immediately. Sadly I'd love to give it a good review but I also don't want to always sit in a place for breakfast. They refuse to answer their phones so your required to sit your behind in the place to wait to order, have it made and pay. Ridiculous. Sadly, you'd think they'd realize they can make more money answering their to go orders AND have more tables to seat people. Serve more people that way! I'd say it's because they are busy because they usually are but today they aren't. Today they just aren't answering the phone so today we are finding a new place. Buh bye Barbwire Grill! Also realize people call to verify your open and not answering your phone makes it appear that you aren't. Bummer, it wasn't that spectacular to begin with. My wife and I recently relocated to Eagle Point. You could blink and miss "downtown", so the "Barbwire" was easy to find. We have had breakfast or lunch there many times and love it. This family owned restaurant has great food served in abundant portions at very fair prices. If you are in the area, I highly recommend that you stop in. You won't be sorry! read more

This restaurant is really BAD, do yourself a favor and stay away! Seriously.. a friend and I had decided to try it out, and we were very disappointed. Both in the food and the lack of service. I ordered the French dip sandwich, it was just about the Worst sandwich I've ever tasted...nasty! I tried to tell the owner when she came to give us the check, and she took a bite of the disgusting, greasy french fries and tried to say that she thought it was alright.. I didn't want to cause a scene by arguing in front of my friend, so I let it go. However I will never eat at this gross grill again.
