    Chicken Fried Steak

I am but weary traveler seeking fuel for the journey to the next place and Roosters was on the docket for today. A very quaint small town diner and was greeted with cheer and kindness. There's a little art wall of children's drawings of roosters that I could help but examine as I awaited to be seated. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns. They asked me if I wanted toast or a freshly baked cinnamon roll, and that was a no brainer for anyone with half a brain. The cinnamon roll was like a warm hug. Fluffy like the clouds this morning and sweeter than the brightest of sun rays. The chicken fried steak was the best I've had in quite awhile. All that was left was a fragment of a cinnamon roll not big enough for a mouse to graze on. Surely my path of wandering will bring me back to Roosters once more for another.

Delightful place for breakfast/brunch with friendly staff. They take the rooster/chicken theme seriously here, and it's adorable. Had the cinnamon roll French toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was not too sweet, which I appreciate for sure. Homemade biscuits were also light and fluffy.

    Huge!

Love this place. Good portions, good food, good service. Old school diner atmosphere.

    Chicken fried steak special.

Food was simple and delicious! Chicken fried steak and eggs was amazing! Service was attentive and friendly. Felt like I was eating breakfast at my Aunt's house.

Very old school restaurant. Friendly people! We recently had the pleasure of eating at this amazing place this past weekend. We were in the Medford area and made it a point to visit the local restaurants. I noticed it the day before we actually ate here. I was getting gas across the street and thought "wow that place looks great ". So the next morning being our last day visiting Medford. I wanted a great breakfast before hitting the road. So I looked around on Yelp and there was Roosters. It had some good reviews and excellent pictures of their menu offerings. It just happened to be down the street from where we were staying. As we walked in we were greeted by Annette who happened to be the owner. Very nice lady. As you might guess by the name Rooster's. It is decorated throughout the restaurant with, you guessed it. Roosters! It is definitely a mom and pop establishment. It's a cozy place and the menu has some great options. I chose pancakes with an egg and bacon. We were served coffee as we waited and pondered our visit the past few days in the Medford area. We really loved Medford. My food arrived and it looked great and tasted even better. The pancakes were delicious as was the bacon. The coffee was also delicious. If we live here this would be a "go to " spot for sure. The owner Annette was a pleasure to talk to and her daughter was our cashier as we left. If you are in the area check this place out. We will definitely be back.

Wow!!!! What an amazing place that we came across! Thanks to Yelp for finding this place. The name…read morespeaks for itself with their biscuits. The restaurant is huge and open and friendly. We sat down fast and ordered pretty quickly. I ordered a pesto bacon and egg biscuit sandwich it was 10/10. I actually used the raspberry jam my mom got with hers and mixed it with the biscuit which made me end up buying the jam to go. Fresh homemade jam for $8 what a steal!! I fell in love with this restaurant, it's too bad I don't live in Medford or I'd be a frequent customer.

One day we hopped in the car and said, "Let's drive down to Medford for the night." We found a…read morecheap hotel and as chance would have it, this little bakery was right around the corner. It is a small, intimate space where we were greeted with a big smile by the hostess and our waiter came by soon after we were seated. It was a chilly walk around the corner so I was looking for a hot coffee to warm me up. Having never been here before I opted for the special of the day, which was something with lavender in it, and I was surprised at the delicate way the latte both supported the robust coffee flavor and the delicate lavender addition. It was better than I anticipated and I knew that we had stumbled upon a gem of a spot that emphasized quality of what they serve. Now, for breakfast, I love a good gravy but I am always disappointed by my order. The country gravy is usually too thin, to bland, too chunky with some sort of meat product, and too small of quantity to really enjoy a good biscuit with it. With this skepticism in mind, I ordered the "The Works" assuming at the very least, the addition of fried eggs and ham were good enough to eat on its own when the gravy, which I also assume will disappoint me, runs dry. I apologize for my assumptions, ButterCloud Bakery, because I was served a thick, seasoned, peppery gravy and plenty of it. This is actually the best gravy I have ever ordered from a restaurant, if I was not traveling, I might have bought a few sides of this delicious concoction and brought it home for the next several mornings! Nothing skimpy on my plate. My husband ordered the beef and blue and devoured every last bite. I managed to steal a few bites off his plate and was pleasantly surprised, I did not expect to like it as much as I did. I stole a few more bites when he was in the bathroom! We left very satisfied with our meal, our drinks, and our service. Fast forward a few months later and we are traveling with my parents to California and we insisted that we stopped by ButterCloud Bakery to share our gem of a find. My mom considers herself quite the cook and she also was skeptical of the gravy. One bite and her eyes popped...she was also impressed. This time round I had the scone and gravy and enjoyed every last bite. My mom tried a specialty hot chocolate and I, again, had the latte special of the day, both were rich with flavor. Our second round at ButterCloud Bakery did not disappoint and we have decided it will be our go-to spot when we are in the area, there is still a lot of menu items to try!
