I was tired, cold and just wanted something warm & tasty without having to get dressed up This is a real diner in the small town of Rogue River with all the entrees you'd expect. The portions are good size and the food is tasty with a different twist. The salmon chowder is a definitely try. It is thick, tasty with chunks of salmon and potato. Pork chops and fried chicken are good. The chicken has crunchy shards on it and the chicken is moist inside. Mashed potatoes are real. Mixed veggies have a strong seasoning that is good. Lemon meringue pie is good, too! Food is good & plenty. Service is friendly and quick. Ambiance is comfy. I would go back.

The prime rib was perfection. The vegetable soup and side vegetables were delicious. The servers are always friendly. Worth the drive. Prime rib on Fridays

The staff are very attentive and always make the right recommendations. Every now and then I will get recommended something I haven't tried and I keep developing new favorites. The ambiance is classic 60's cafe with amazing food and service.

We actually visited this establishment for dinner and breakfast. We arrived later in the evening so there was only one elderly gentleman at the bar near the kitchen. The seating is "Seat Yourself" but we were directed as to which section. We were immediately greeted by Amber who took our drink order, and we wanted some comfort food so I ordered the pot roast with whipped mashed potatoes and roasted carrots, with the option of a green salad. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak also with mashed potatoes and he chose the navy bean soup. My salad came right away which I preferred and it consisted of your basic iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes and olives with a few strips of cheese. The pot roast was very tasty with the ends crisped nicely. The gravy was delicious and the potatoes were fluffy. The meal came with a biscuit not sure if it was home made? The portions were quite generous as my husband and I both had some food left over. He appeared to enjoy the chicken fried steak and remarked on how good the gravy tasted. We also ordered a bacon avocado burger to go for our daughter which she later remarked was quite good. Having said that we liked the food so much we decided to return for breakfast. The place was quite busy unlike the evening before. The coffee was a bit on the watery side and I got a second cup but it was also not flavorful. I ordered the waffle with two eggs over medium with bacon, which comes with three strips. My husband ordered the half Cinammon roll with scrambled eggs and bacon as the rolls are huge (see photo). Our daughter ordered the carnitas benedict which as a culinary trained chef - she remarked the meal was perfect and just as it should be with a very nicely flavored hollandaise sauce, so high marks for that. Other then the weak coffee we had to flag down the buss person to get any water as Chelsea our server just kept forgetting. All in all I preferred our dinner and would possibly return for breakfast another time. The prices are reasonable for the quality of home made food.

Hello. You may not know me, but I am famous I promise. I knew lane Stanley back in the day, and I played nutshell live with him in the bitcoin arena. We made sure we always had a cinnamon roll ready to go in the oven, primed for eating, and absolutely slathered in gorgeous whipped butter all for us. The drain train would always deliver our product straight to our tour bus, without fail. This cinnamon roll really is the thing 1982

We stopped in for lunch, sat ourselves. Waited.... One server working....register, to-go's, waiting tables,,,, Bus boy got our sodas..... waiting for the lone server to take our orders. Wait time was getting ridiculous as far as I could tell. It gave me plenty of time to look around, & see how filthy this diner is! Nobody ever cleans here! I couldn't help myself take a pic of the dust!!!! Won't be back. Waitress was snarky when I asked if they were short staffed! ‍

Clam strips fresh chips and clam chowder!!!! Yummy!!!

It's a coffee shop, with coffee shop food. Not attractive, just booths and it appears old.

I was passing through town and so I decided to stop for breakfast. I had been to the Elmer's up in…read more Hillsboro, and I liked it very much. The place was very clean and the people were very friendly. I perused the decent sized breakfast menu, and decided to go for the bacon and Tillamook potato pancakes. potato pancakes filled with bacon, Tillamook Cheddar cheese and onion with sour cream on top. It also came with bacon, two eggs, and applesauce on the side. The meal came, and it was a decent size. The bacon was good. They were three very decent sized slices. The eggs were perfect, with the yolk dripping down into my food. I also liked the applesauce. While the potato pancakes tasted very good, and the sour cream was a nice contrast to the richness of the potato pancakes, with the cheese and the bacon inside, they were just a little bit gummy for my personal taste. I realize that putting cheese and bacon inside would do that, I didn't think about it at the time. I just didn't care for the texture itself. Overall, though, it was a good meal at a very decent price, and they do offer a military/veterans discount. They have plenty of other very good things on the menu, so I would definitely come back. Thanks.

It always feels like going to your family's house for a meal. We're here for breakfast but so can't wait for dinner. The Dutch baby pancake or German pancake was massive. It could easily feed 2-3 people. I will definitely be taking that with me today. It's too delicious to leave behind. I don't eat a lot Mark always says I eat like a bird. But I will nibble on this throughout our journey today. Enjoy your day
