I've ate here a few times with a friend. Each time, the food was better than the last. I've tried to get my husband to try this place a couple of times. Well, today was the day. Finally!! He wasn't sure what took me so long to take him there He tried the Denver omelet. He thought it was very good. Ham and vegetables were fresh and tasty. Hasbrown were good. I had "The Railroad." Homemade biscuit and gray with 2 fried eggs on top of gravy. 3 pieces of perfectly fried bacon. The biscuit taste like Grandma made it. So delicious! Portion sizes were appropriate. I enjoyed the food and the service. I could not finish my breakfast and my wife didn't finish hers. We asked for 2 small to go boxes. They charged .40 cents for each to go box. I had never seen this before. They also charged additional for using a credit card. I paid an extra 1.96 for a 28.00 bill. That is an additional 7% on a $14.00 breakfast for 2. this is one of those places that should be packed at 10:30 AM on a saturday. it's on the way to coos bay and north bend. it has everything people should want for breakfast plus some special treats. I use to really enjoy going there to eat. Yesterday had breakfast there not really impressed. Pay with a credit card and you're charged a fee. Eggs were tasteless, not farm eggs. Coffee is $2.50 . So I won't be going back. Sad. read more

I regularly have "The Mini" breakfast w/ one sunny side up egg, 2 strips of bacon, and hashbrowns with coffee. All mixed with Cholula, S&P, really good for what I like when I want a hearty start. The staff is friendly & attentive. It's a nice little place to eat. read more

We were in Myrtle Point to clear out my sisters house and found a must-stop place for breakfast! Fast, friendly service in a railroad themed, old fashioned road side cafe setting, serving delicious breakfast and lunch favorites. If you're really hungry, the portions are just right, but they do offer dishes for smaller appetites, and there is something for everybody no matter your diet. The biscuit and gravy was quite good, gravy with sausage chunks just the way I like it. Eggs over hard as I requested, frequent but not obnoxious coffee refills from my cheerful waitress. A great on-the-road replacement for my regular Saturday morning diner!! read more

I must have caught them on a bad day.. I ordered the classic breakfast... Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns. I asked for crispy hashbrowns and eggs over medium. The eggs were barely over easy The hashbrowns were undercooked.. The opposite of crispy if you will. The lady working did not ask if everything was ok with my meal, or I would of told her instead of leaving this review. Giving them the option of making the customer happy but it didn't happen. And when you deliver the check to me and realize all the food is still on my plate would be a good time to ask that question. The bacon was good. read more

If you are looking for huge portions, and clean, simple delicious diner food this is it. The food isn't amazing but it does meet my expectations when I think of diner food. I really enjoy the specialty section of the menu, mostly because of the descriptions. They do not allow substitutions for this part of the menu so as a pescatarian I was only able to order a shrimp salad. I really like the atmosphere and charm of this place. Great breakfast joint on the way from Coos Bay to southbound I-5. Big portions of omelets or scrambles and every other table looked really good, too.
