The restaurant is closed but the bar side has a great atmosphere and sweet people. They have karaoke on Friday nights.

Come for the food. Stay because you're trapped in a service time warp…read more This wasn't our first time at the Coquille Broiler, but it was the first time we questioned every life choice that led us there. We arrived at 7:25 p.m. to a nearly empty dining room. You'd think that meant smooth service. Oh, sweet summer child. Our waitress greeted us with all the enthusiasm of a DMV employee on her 13th hour and kept repeating, "This is how I get when I'm tired." (Spoiler: VERY tired.) That should've been our cue to leave. Instead, we pressed on--like fools with hunger-fueled hope. Drink orders took 20+ minutes. We ordered an iced tea and a rootbeer. We had to ask for them, like they were being handcrafted in a Himalayan spring. My husband dared to ask what came on a sandwich. The reply? "I don't know. I've never had it." No attempt to find out--until he begged for sauce clarification like a man negotiating a hostage situation. She finally went to check, but not before announcing (again) how tired she was. Girl, same. But I'm not serving tables. Other tables weren't faring much better. One couple had to request their salad like it was a rare artifact. A pickup order was missing chicken strips and sat waiting forever. Another poor soul picking up food stood around so long I almost offered him a seat at our table. When his chicken nuggets finally arrived, she didn't even walk them over--just waved at him from behind the counter like a disinterested cafeteria lady. I'm sure the rest of his already prepared order sat in his car cooling as the Sun began setting. After 45 minutes, the restaurant slowly emptied. Orders trickled out like molasses in January. The other couple got their food at 8:15. We finally got ours... and mine was wrong. So wrong I had to wave the waitress back like I was flagging down a taxi in a blackout. I said, "This isn't what I ordered." She blinked and replied, "It isn't?" Ma'am. I didn't whisper it into the wind--I said it, and you keyed it in right in front of me. At that point I told her, "You know what? I think we'll just leave." She looked... relieved. She said, "I won't charge you for your dinner." And I said, "Good. I wasn't going to pay for it." My husband pushed his untouched plate away and said the same. She hit us with an "Ohhh... well..." like she still thought she deserved partial credit. Look. We've been here before. It's usually a great place. We chose to come back, we didn't just wander in off the street. But on this particular night, the Twilight Zone had a table for two, and we were seated promptly. I'm not sure if she was overworked, underpaid, or just done with humanity--but she'd clearly clocked out emotionally long before her shift ended. Will we be back? Maybe. Eventually. But for now, we'll be recovering from the memory of being ghost-served by a walking burnout monologue in an apron.

Kind of a hip dive bar meets delicious food with a sprinkle of old timers ready to share a story or two with you while you wait. We got burgers, cuz duh... Look at these things!! I got mine with a side salad instead of fries and my friend got the fries. All of it was delicious. There was zero chance either of us were able to finish these monsters so the rest came home with us. The side salad was amazing! Fries were delicious. And the burgers did not disappoint. The guy at the counter was super friendly and everyone in the establishment gave off a friendly vibe. Happy they were the only place open when we were driving through. We would definitely visit again.

It took a total of TWO hours and 15 minutes, and that's AFTER we went up to the counter to ask about the pizza progress. No apologies from staff once pizza came. -Food 3/5: Pizza was not bad, just not memorable. It's heavy, but I mean..it's pizza. Their ranch was prob my favorite food item & my family thought the wings were alright. -Ambiance 3/5: It's the exact vibe of what you would expect from a dive bar, but the staff obviously favors locals-only. Tourists may feel like all eyes are on them. Pros: -One of few places for late-night dinner/grub. -Allows you to experience a Port Orford locals' bar spot. -There's karaoke apparently on Saturday nights which may be fun to check out. TLDR: If you do need a late-night spot for food, do not get the pizza...NOT worth the wait. Grab some apps & beers and just enjoy the local bar vibe of Port Orford.

A younger blonde haired gentleman took my order and man was he sweet and friendly! I told him it was my first time here and he helped me through my order and made suggestions along the way that ended up being amazing choices! I ordered the Philly sandwich with fries(and all 3 seasonings). While I waited for my order I used the restroom which was spotless. The restaurant and parking lot were also clean. The young lady, with dark hair, who brought my order was also super kind. I took my order to go. Snuck a few fries on the way home. The food was still piping hot when I arrived home. The sandwich melt in my mouth! Wow! So good! Smokey, tender, cheesy.. DELICIOUS! I'm not even a big fry lover, but their fries were delicious. I'm a fan! I will be back and this may just be our go to place from now on when no one wants to make dinner! Excellent job to the staff and owner!

My 82 yo mother in law loved her burger and strawberry milkshake which was made with real ice cream. The babes also loved her kids cheese burger which came with pickles and light mustard and mayonnaise. I'm assuming the Hubbs liked his bacon cheeseburger because it was gone before I could even take a look at it. I wasn't feeling like a burger and at the recommendation of the lady at the counter, I got the Reuben which came with pastrami & sauerkraut on grilled rye Bread. For $8.85 you get a large tasty sandwich that you can easily pay $15 at most places. The food is made the old fashioned way, upon order and the French fries are made with fresh potatoes. If I lived nearby, this place would be dangerous!
