Dallas needs more places like this! Beautiful space, everyone's down to earth, quality food and quality service! Very difficult to find these days!

Cornbread with Guava Butter - the butter was fantastic!

Wonderful concept of weekly updated food menus at this neighborhood tavern & restaurant. Laid-back and dark it is inside. Service has been great on my multiple visits. As for their food, rolling the dice it's been of whether I'd come away liking or not of the preparation and taste of that evening's dishes. On this particular Caribbean theme visit, I loved the guava butter and mouthwatering coconut shrimp, yet, dissatisfying were their crumbling corn bread, hard to bite tostones, and, too sweet guava con queso kolache! Still, I'll be back last minute on those not wanting to cook nights when I'm in area next! CHEERS!

I've been following Be Home Soon on Instagram since they opened and finally got a chance to stop by for dinner last week before a Dallas Stars game! Casa Linda is a bit out of the way from us but I'm happy we got to try out their weekly menu. We basically got everything off the specials board (except the guava danish and the charred fruit salad). Our favorite bites of the night were the fried coconut shrimp (so juicy and flavorful, paired with some excellent dipping sauces), the cornbread with guava butter, and the coconut collards. The beef tips were a little bit hit or miss in terms of tenderness per piece, but the flavor of the gravy was excellent and the noodles were well-cooked. The peas and rice were pretty bland (though a dunk of gravy from the noodles and/or some collard greens on top did help) and the tostones also lacked flavor without the dipping sauces. I enjoyed the sweet potato side but my husband thought it was just okay. The Air Japan cocktail I ordered was very strong and I enjoyed the lavender aroma + the fancy cherry! Inside of the place was super cozy and our server did a great job explaining the menu and getting the food out quick. Glad we came by to support local - I'd come again with other friends but not sure we'd return just the two of us unless something super intriguing pops up on the menu in the future, which honestly is likely considering how often they change it up! Looking forward to seeing how this spot grows :)

Be Home Soon rolls out a new menu every week with lunch consisting of two choices of sandwich and one or two soups. Seems as if they usually have at least one vegetarian lunch option. Dinner typically includes two entrees and four sides to choose from. The crazy part is that the menus vary wildly...Thai Inspired one week, Italianish another...you can check them out on Instagram. I am such a fan and so is everyone I've told about it. My mother said her NY resolution is to never miss a Be Home Soon menu. I had a full sandwich, but asked for it to be half of the pork schnitzel and half of the eggplant as I couldn't decide between the two. This is a solid choice if you are indecisive like me, or ravenously hungry. Honestly, the half sandwich is a meal in itself. So, both halves were excellent, but the eggplant was the clear winner. I cannot wait to go for dinner. Service was friendly and attentive.

Fabulous food! Fantastic drinks! Wonderful pub atmosphere! Excellent service! Reasonable prices. I had an Outlaw beer with the delightful chicken Sammie (coconut adobe chicken sammich with chipotle mayo, pepper jack cheese, pickled onion, and arugula). This place is going to be a hit in the neighborhood!

This place was incredible. It felt like a home. The staff was so incredible and the brunch was amazing. Our server who I believe is also the owner is someone I want to be friends with. She was so great and kind. The food was not only incredible, but it was fast too. This is also really affordable. For 4 of us with 5 entrees, 4 sides, and 2 shared entrees we each spent about $70. Go here. If you aren't sure just go. This will become one of my top recommendations.

This place is awesome and hella unique for Dallas. They don't take ressies, so expect to wait, but it's worth it and you can get a drink at the bar so relax would ya? Their menu changes weekly (so don't get your heart set on anything!) so I will be going every week for the rest of my life I guess? Everything we had was incredible. And everyone who works there is so cool and fun. AND gratuity is included! You gotta go.

Such a cute little spot. Our server Sage was friendly and checked on us frequently, she was quite lovely. And the food was spot on. This cheddar gay biscuits especially were top tier. I'm excited to come back! Finally some good food around here

we live in the neighborhood and have been waiting to stop in since for a while now... this week's menu specifically called to us. super impressed with both dinner items (shrimp and hatch grits, pictured, and the chicken chile relleno) and cocktails. the interior is super fun and quirky. i can see us stopping by again for another meal, a quick bite and a drink, and/or an all around good time. welcome to the neighborhood!

Decided to check out Be Home Soon, the new restaurant in Casa Linda Plaza. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. It was a little hard to see the handwritten dinner specials during dinner service cause the lights were dim and the writing on the butcher paper was hard to read from our table, but our waiter was more than happy to share the information with us and repeat as needed. It was a little on the pricier side for the plaza, but not outlandishly so. My mom and I shared an appetizer of focaccia topped with hummus () and each got an entree and a side, and I had a cocktail while she had tea. She LOVED the marinate shoshito peppers and could have ate a bowl of just those! lol The bill with service fee/tip included was at around $98. So not too bad for a nice night out. They also change up the menu weekly, so it'll be neat to see what they have in the future!

Enjoying the fun ambiance of Be Home Soon

Home soon offers a friendly vibe that resinates with locals and not so locals alike. The weekly rotating entree menu prominently displayed for all to enjoy, features just the right amount of everything for carnivores, veterinarians, and the culinary adventurous. Although intimate, a few seating options are offered for couples, groups or someone alone enjoying the bar. On busy nights there may be a little wait, however the friendly staff, charming ambiance and creative cuisine make it well worth the wait. Expect the prices to be a little higher than a regular neighbor diner, but not reaching fine dining levels. You absolutely won't have a problem with parking, because Casa Linda Plaza has plenty. Can't wait to experience my next dish; maybe it will be seated next to you! Xoxo Lorenzo!

The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. One of the best parts is the happy hour offered every day until 6:30 PM, with all "Over the Counter" cocktails for $12 and 50% off food. It's one of the better happy hour deals in Dallas, especially considering the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience. We'll definitely be back.

Our trio is vegetarian, and the prix fixe options were not v.f. However, Gary and staff were understanding, and adjusted the selections to fit our needs. The dishes were plated beautifully, there was no delay in service, and they did not serve a side dish of "attitude." Thankfully, as we were dining after 6pm, the dining rooms were not SRO, nor were their guests on the patio, or we certainly would not put upon the kitchen crew the adjustments. The setting and space of McRae's is refreshingly unique, cozy and welcoming. Dress up or down, you'll always feel welcome. "Thanks again" Gary and crew, for your hospitality, support and ever delicious food. "Support local and independent" knowing that McRae's is a top choice and standout in this category.

We were seated and taken care of by our server, who was so sweet and very patient. We ordered drinks. I had to get tea because I was chilly. The herbs they use are picked from their local garden, and the food is incredibly fresh. I ordered the marinated lamb kebabs and Hummus. By the way, their hot tea is fantastic.
