Good food but the cashier was had a super lame attitude. Usually I try and focus on food but this girl clearly hates her job. I get it was late but she also forgot all the sauces for 3 different quesadillas! Lameeee. She through the ambiance way off. Got 3 quesadillas. The only one that really missed was La Mardrina. It was too much carb between rice, tamale, tortilla, and Doritos. No balance. The Escobar and chips were great. The chocolate covered churros were incredible!!

I heard about Plomo on lnstagram and couldn't help trying it. Went on a weekday around 2. There is a side parking lot so parking was easy. Once inside it's not very big but it's clean with a large menu on the wall in order to see everything they have to offer. They have lots of different quesadilla to choose from they also have margaritas. Ordering was easy and we were given a number to take to the table. I ordered my quesadillas as a combo. Me and my husband both agree that they have some of the best quesadillas from a restaurant. We also like the fact that they are open late so on the weekend if we want a late night snack we can come there.

I kept hearing how I needed to come here. So I did! It was very crowded with an interesting decor, so I got a few things to try and bring them home. Customer service was not a strong point and it seemed assistance from them was too much effort. I grabbed a steak, and elotes for me. Excellent flavor for both!

Came here before the crowd and was not disappointed. Chill vibe, and loved the ambiance and outdoor seating. Rick Ross 7.5/10: the quesadilla itself was ok. I liked the flavors together but would have liked the meat to have some flavor - it was a little bland to me. My sides were the chorizo Mac and Mexican corn. I didn't have any noodles in what should've been my Mac - think they just gave me queso. But it worked out because those chips were delicious. The f*&king margarita was pretty good too. Overall though I'd definitely come back and try something else.

After our shift ended, my new coworkers wanted to grab food and suggested this place. I was hesitant about it at first because I'm not really into Tex Mex. I ordered the Black Magic which was really good! I enjoyed it as well as the elote and chips. I got to try my coworker's foods too, the El Padrino and Jesse James, which was both good too! Overall, I was surprised and fulfilled. Very solid and good food especially for a late night bite.

Look, if your name's rocking Quesadillas, you better bring the cheesy thunder. Sadly... it was more of a light drizzle. We even got it "dirty" and still--meh. Guac tasted like it moonlights in a lunchable. Freshness? Missing, presumed dip-sappeared. BUT hold onto your forks, because the Chorizo Mac & Cheese? Mic drop. Rich, spicy, cheesy perfection that stole the show like it was auditioning for its own Netflix special. Sure, it wasn't piping hot--but those flavors still came in loud and proud. Moral of the story: skip the quesadilla, marry the mac.

The best quesadilla I've ever had!!! So delicious and great portion size for the price. For how busy it was, we got served fairly quick. There is minimal seating inside/ outside but otherwise this place is amazing, definitely recommend!

Stopped by while in the area for a quick dinner. Such a cute place and great concept for quesadillas! I did try the veggie/black bean option which was good, wish i could've tried a different sauce with it. Overall food was great, quantity was nice and service was very quick!

We really wanted to like this place and the hopes were extremely high. Everyone was nice! The place was nice and clean. We always get several menu items to try out. We started with the dip trio which was a flop. The guacamole was the best by the way, the salsa was just bad! It was like ground up tomatoes from a can topped with cilantro. The queso was just as bad. It tasted like heavy whipping cream with cumin. That's not queso. We were so disappointed! The chips were good though, nice and warm. For sides we got the chorizo Mac and Cheese and an elote. The mac and cheese was ok but lacked flavor, I was excited about the concept but it was a miss. That elote was not the type of elote I was hoping for. I guess I was thinking is was elote en vaso like from the carts in front of your local supermarket. I don't know what I was expecting. It's just mayo with cheese. I should've known better when it said it had cayenne pepper. Why would it have that? I don't know. It was so bland. Now for the quesadillas. We got the Rick Ross and brisket quesadilla with some add ons. The cheese was nice and melted which was a positive. Everything was a miss. The brisket was dry but had potential. Again. High hopes. Overall the chips and guac were tasty. I was thinking this was going to be a Mexican food joint. It's not. It's almost like Tex Mex. On to the next one.

The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and nice inside. The food was amazing. We had the Escobar, Jesse James, queso, and elote. Everything was delicious. I recommend getting the combo because it comes with a sauce, side, chips, and drink.

Good food, but the place is small and abnormally crowded for as late as it was. They are efficient though all things considered we got everything we ordered without issue in a timely manner.

THE BEST late night and quesadilla spot in dallas, hands down. it's almost a guarantee my boyfriend and i will pay Plomo a visit when we've burned 200 calories dancing. I've never had an issue with the service, they're always happy to explain any menu items, and the one road bump i've run into with a flat soda at the location, they were happy to fix it with a refund. although it's a late night spot, it never feels unsafe and the environment feels nice to be in and stay a while.

After living in San Antonio for 10 years I was worried I would a good quesadilla place in Dallas-but this is the one!! The service was stellar, ambiance is nice and casual. There are so many options on the menu we tried the black bean quesadilla (shared it) and it was delicious. This will def be my new late night craving spot

Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

I'll admit I was very skeptical about The Chicharrónes because they're either cooked right or they're not. They got it down here. Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
