I discovered bb.q Chicken online about a year ago, absolutely loved it, and we have ordered from this Milpitas location at least 6 times since! It has definitely become one of our go-to spots for Korean fried chicken, even though we've noticed a few hiccups along the way. Our Absolute Favorites (Highly Recommend): Gangnam Style Wings & Soy Garlic Wings: These are our top tier wing choices--packed with flavor! BBoom Chicken (Boneless): This seems new, or maybe we just missed it previously. Either way, it is incredibly delicious and has officially been added to our favorites list. Rose Ddeok-bokki: So good! Pro tip: make sure to add cheese if you are a cheese lover. Kimchi Fried Rice: Always delicious and satisfying. Other Flavors We've Tried: Cheesling Wings: These are good, but a little too sweet for my personal taste. Honey Garlic Wings: They are just okay. Golden Original Wings: A little too plain for me; we didn't like these as much as the sauced options. Side note: The complimentary pickled radish that comes with the chicken is fantastic. It's super refreshing and the perfect companion to cut through the heavy, oily food. The Only Downside: The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the quality isn't totally stable. Most of the time it is great, but occasionally our wings aren't very crispy, and there was one time when the wings we received were surprisingly small. Overall, the flavors here are fantastic and the good definitely outweighs the bad. We will definitely keep ordering from here! read more

When I first had bbq chicken, it was incredible. So juicy, crispy, perfect amount of flavor, quick service, easy meal. One of my favorites, except for the fact it is a little pricey. I kept going back for awhile but started to notice the fry on the chicken wasn't the same so I stopped for maybe a year. After I finished dining at the restaurant next door, bbq chicken looked like it was closed (like permanently!). I was actually so disappointed because I did want to give it another try. A couple weeks later I checked online and they were open again! I went back and omg it is SO much better! I don't know what they did.. did the recipe change? Did they change the oil? Different oil? Whatever it is, keep it up because this chicken is so smacking good. Even my brother said this is actually pretty comparable to the ones in Korea. Only one thing to note is the original spicy isn't as spicy as it used to be! Maybe add a bit more kick to it? Otherwise, it was a great experience, plenty of seating, very clean and casual interior. Can't wait to go back! read more

Was walking around the plaza and stopped by to try this Chicken Place. Vibe: 10/10 Walking in, the decor, TVs, layout and the music really sets the vibes. It gives off fast food place but at the same time it's also somewhere that I could see a lot of people sitting and drinking with friends at night Service: 8/10 Like I said, it's more like a fast food place. You place the order at your table and they bring it to you. Other than that, theres not much checking in. But the lady was so nice! Food: 8/10 The water had some weird specs in it so we decided to order sparkling water lol. We ordered: - side of coleslaw The Portion was PERFECT - Soy Garlic Chicken It was good but the seasoning was more on the salty side - So Ddeok So Ddeok Love love love the rice cake, I don't really like sausages so I put it to the side, but my boyfriend ended up eating it all anyways. Overall, it a great place to come, hang out and grab a bite. The chicken was just a little too salty for my liking but everything is such a reasonable price! read more

It's my very first time coming here. It's quite shocking that only a few customers are here and it's very quiet. When I heard about this restaurant, I thought that it's going to fill at least 50% of the capacity because of how good it looks here. Anyways, this place looks nice. Staff really take care of tables especially when I saw one cleaning after a customer left. They also have WiFi that we can use especially when waiting for our orders to be completed. I want to try one of their lunch combos, but they're only available on weekdays only. Otherwise, they're just selling entrees. Thankfully, they're still available when I'm here since it's within the time range. I got their Golden Original Boneless wings along with rice. I gotta that these are very big wings! Something you can have for your second meal if you're full right now. All of that including a soft drink is $15.99, which is quite affordable. The wings are very crispy and delicious. The rice is like other ones I usually eat but I'm not really gonna get down to that. What really matters is the wings since it's the main part of the meal. I'm definitely looking forward for other types of wings as well as different lunch options. Perhaps get the main entree to feed the whole family. I'm still disappointed that it rarely gets any customers. I recommend coming here for one of the best Korean-style chicken wings. read more

I've heard of this popular wing spot online and had to try it! We arrived on a Saturday evening, found a table, and got in line to order our food. The restaurant was crowded and had moderate noise. The line was 5 minutes and the wait for food was 25 minutes (it felt long). When the food arrived, we were famished and eager to dive in. We ordered Honey Garlic Wings and Rose' Ddeok-Bokki. The wings were delicious! They were crispy and juicy, with the right amount of flavoring on them. We didn't like the Rose' Ddeok-Bokki as much. The proportion was too much for the 2 of us and it was spicier than we preferred. The tteokbokki is ideal to eat with rice or an item to calm it down. Overall, we would come back here again to eat wings and not tteokbokki. They were delicious and comparable to BonChon KFC. I would recommend this spot to foodies looking for an Asian-flavored wing spot. read more

Ordered food from here through DoorDash. The order started prepping right away according to the app. Didn't pick up or go in so can't say much about the store or ambiance. The food arrived packed well. I had asked for utensils but none were included. No napkins, no forks or spoons. The chicken was good. Stayed crispy even after delivery in a plastic bag. The rose deokk-bokki was good, has a slight spiciness. I would order here again read more

The venue is small, not for big parties. It is clean and has TV's. The service was good, the lady behind the counter was very friendly. This first visit we ordered onion rings, spicy galbi and special sauce wings. The onion rings were very good, it is hard to find a place that has made them correctly and this place does a great job. Regarding the wings they are a bit saucy. If you are the type that loves immense amount of sauce on the wings this is your place. Personally I love sauce, in this case only a td bit less would be perfect for me. The sauce by the way was very tasty. The special sauce was my favorite. I will come back to try a few other items as this place is not only for wings. They do sell alcohol as well. read more

The honey garlic had a nice sweetness, while the soy garlic brought a savory, slightly salty taste. But because of the sauce, the wings were a bit wet, so the outside did not have a crispy and crunchy texture. Wait time was about 20 minutes, which felt longer than expected considering it wasn't too busy. read more

We ordered the soy garlic wings, and the whole experience was really smooth from start to finish. Our order was ready quickly, and the staff were super friendly and efficient when we picked it up. Everything was packed really well, and the wings were still crispy by the time we got home, which is always a big plus. Overall, a solid spot for takeout. Would definitely order from here again. read more

I placed an online order for pickup and received the ready confirmation 4 minutes after. They are QUICK! The online ordering system is really easy but I'm not sure if the lunch specials are on there. I ordered the $18.99 8 piece honey garlic chicken wings. I grabbed some gloves and ate in the car. The flavor was delicious. The meat was hot and moist. The pieces are decently big. I was satisfied after 4 wings. The inside is casual with plenty of clean tables and chairs. read more

So glad this spot is nearby, kids requested for 2nd time this week. We got the soy garlic flavor first, the decided to try secret sauce and orginal today. So good, my fav is the original, b it my kids like the sauces ones. I place the order for pickup on DoorDash, the timing is very accurate, roughly 25 minutes, so don't try to pickup early, it won't be available then get mad lol. Store is big, can accommodate big group, nothing special. Location used to be vons. Kids plan is to try next will try honey garlic and the cheese flavored wings read more

Pretty good first time experience! The parking lot is pretty expansive so it wasn't an issue finding a spot. We ordered ahead and picked up our food. The gentleman at the front was very nice and brought our food out when it was ready. Inside was large and airy with lots of seating. The floor was quite sticky. We ordered a few different items: Bulgogi with rice: Great flavor and tons of well-cooked rice, but definitely lacking on the meat. Rose ddeok-bokki with cheese: my son liked this but said it was super chewy and obviously very spicy! He was happy to see the addition of a (half) hard boiled egg. Honey garlic boneless chicken: this was a hit. Incredibly crunchy and a flavor bomb in our mouths. Absolutely loved this! read more

When we walked in we were a little confused. Usually we go to bonchon and they immediately ask you if you want to sit or order, the person behind the counter was quiet and I think maybe we were both confused, nonetheless we sat down and ordered from the QR code. The plaza is BUSY! There are so many good food options here but we came for the fried chicken, since I had been to a different location and wanted to take my parents here. They loved it! The plum soju was chilled and opened for us, they even brought out the shot glasses. Our food was prepped quickly and none of our order was messed up. It was quiet on the day we went but I can imagine closer to 6/7pm more people trickle in. While we loved the flavors my boyfriend and I found ourselves still missing Bonchon. But I would say bb.q is a close second and we will be back. Great customer service, clean and quick! read more

This location is amazing. It's huge in space, clean, and they're quick. First off, I like that I have the option to make my purchase through a QR code on my table rather than up at the front. I really wish the Sunnyvale location was like this. We ordered their honey garlic wings which are always on point. Something different we tried was their Alfredo fettuccine. This was pretty decent and tasted more like sharp aged white cheese pasta rather than Alfredo sauce. I actually like it and would definitely order this again. Overall, I really like this location and will always come back. I can't wait to try new items on the menu again but of course I'll always have my cup of rice and chicken on deck. read more

Wings were really good. They had a nice, light, crispy batter. They were sauced heavier than a glaze but not drenched. Our favorites were the Honey Garlic and Soy Garlic. The Spicy Galbi was a little disappointing. Cole Slaw was basic. Other than that everything was great. Server was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend trying this place out. Surprised they get less than 4 stars. read more

First the good: wonderful service lady at the front desk. Now the bad: Extremely mediocre food. We came for lunch (July 24) and got the open face sandwich special with fries and coleslaw. The fries were okay, but the chicken tasted old, soggy, and not at all crispy. The coleslaw tasted off like it was old. Couldn't eat it, just tossed it and ate elsewhere. Real shame, because the other locations are really good. read more

This is a great spot for anyone who loves Korean fried chicken! The soy garlic chicken was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly coated with a sweet and savory sauce. The original fried chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The tteokbokki was chewy and had a delicious spicy-sweet sauce that paired really well with the chicken. The kimchi fried rice was also filling and flavorful, especially with the fried egg on top. The portions were generous, making it a great place to share with friends. We've tried many different menu items, and honestly, almost everything we've had has been delicious. Today I stopped by to pick up our order and noticed they recently added a Happy Hour. What a great idea! Next time, I'm definitely planning to dine in, grab a cold beer, and enjoy some freshly made chicken during Happy Hour. These are my favorite Korean wings! Gangnam Style Wings are my favorite flavor. I first knew about this chain through kdramas, and really liked my first taste when I was visiting NYC. Milpitas bb.q location has been very consistent since they opened, which makes me a regular customer! I'm glad they rolled out their rewards program. I ordered the Chicken Tenders and the Kimchi Pasta, and both were amazing! The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. The flavor was spot on, and every bite was delicious. The Kimchi Pasta was definitely my favorite. Even with chicken and kimchi, the creamy sauce tasted similar to a rosé sauce and was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It matched my taste perfectly! The pickled radish was also excellent--crisp, tangy, and so refreshing. It was the perfect palate cleanser between bites. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place read more

This was my first time visiting this location, though I've been to their other location in North Valley before--and they're consistently my favorite Korean fried chicken spot. This location is new and clean but what really impressed me was the speed and efficiency. Soy garlic and the ddeok with sausage! So yummy, we came on a Thursday dinner and we placed an order online. We highly recommend doing that because they take a while to make the food. It's good if you are craving some chicken as it was very delicious! Can never go wrong with bbq chicken read more

Cute little Korean wings place with spacious and neat interior. There are ample parkings surrounding the store. Their wings, Ddeok-bokki, and fried rices are very flavorful and of generous portion. We came in as a big group of 15 people and the staff quickly put together a table large enough to accommodate all of us. You can either scan the QR code on the table to order or order with the staff. Our dishes came out quickly. All the utensils, clear gloves, chopsticks, ketchup pouches and daikons were generously provided. Overall, reasonable price and nice service. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, I tried the spicy galbi wings and kimchi fried rice. I was pleasantly surprised by the kimchi fried rice, it had a deeper flavor than most kimchi fried rice I've tried. Radish is good as always. The wings themselves were juicy, crispy and well coated in the spicy galbi sauce. Even though it was considered "spicy" it wasn't really spicy for me and my friends. Their menu has a lot more options ranging from pasta to rice cakes. There are several flavors that sounds delicious, but its a bummer you can only select one flavor for the piece meals. Busy restaurant, loud environment! Came to try it out since restaurant next door was closed. But hey it was a packed house the food gotta be good, right? Well packed house comes with a loonnng wait. Arrived at 4:30 ordered and waited for 45 minutes for our food to come out. Well not all the food, just one thing we ordered. 5 items were ordered but came out every 10-15 minutes. I understand it was busy but would have been nice if we could have had our whole order and our chicken with our rice, or Rose Tteokbokki all at once. I loveeeeeee bb.q chicken!!! The wings here are always so flavorful and juicy and hugeeee. I've eaten from here several times and never has disappointed. The soy garlic wings are a classic! I love the sauce in the Spicy Galbi Wings, it has that little sweet and savory twist to it. The Rose Ddeok-Bokki was creamy and saucy. It was a nice addition to eating with the wings because of how chewy the rice cakes were but I definitely needed some plain rice over time. Cheeseling is so good as always! Crispy, crunchy, salty and sweet cheese flavour. Some pieces can be soggier than others. 4.5/5 We also tried the Carribbean flavour and it was pretty good with a nice balance tanginess, savouriness, and sweetness. It was not very spicy overall if that's what you're looking for. 4/5 Onion rings were nice and crispy, didnt do that weird worm thing that a lot of onion rings do. 5/5 So-ddeok so-ddeok was surprisingly good!
