Would give this no STARS if I could. I love Starbird, particularly for their Gardein Bird, so I'm so sad to write this review. I ordered delivery directly through the website and my order was cancelled about 20 minutes later. That was so annoying, but we just decided to get something else for dinner. When we got home from picking up other food, 30 minutes later, I received a text saying my order was confirmed and on its way!!! You can imagine my shock and annoyance. My card had been charged $55 without my consent. But that's not all! When the order arrived it was missing 3 items that I paid for! Literally so irritated just thinking about this and bummed because that's sandwiches looked good, but we weren't hungry anymore. I contacted customer service and have yet to hear from them! Stay tuned! 12/10 update: customer service reached out and initially offered a $20 reward to my account. After replying back and further explaining, they issued a refund since I DID NOT authorize the order to be placed again, after it was cancelled. So I appreciate the response. Had the opportunity to try some salads with a friend today at Starbird! It's a large location that's part of a larger plaza with lots of parking available. It has a huge interior and patio space. Loved the drinks from the classic lemonade to strawberry hibiscus tea. The staff are super nice and attentive when I asked for lids, bags, and their recommendations. We ended up getting 4 salads! Our second visit to Starbird was such a pleasant surprise. The first time I tried a chicken sandwich and felt like it was missing a little flavor, but this time we went with the salads and it made all the difference. I had the Thai chicken salad and it was sauced so perfectly that I didn't even need the extra dressing they provided. We also ordered the Elote chicken salad which was loaded with flavor and packed with enough ingredients to keep us full after just one bowl. The portions are huge, so definitely come hungry. For our daughter, we ordered the chicken tender kids box with fries and a juice box, which was the perfect little meal. There has always been a lot of hype about this place and we never really understood why, but these salads truly put them over the top for both flavor and value. One thing to note is that ordering was a little tricky. They only had two kiosks, both super laggy, which made the line look much longer than it really was. I have been to Starbird more times than I can remember and it has never disappointed me. Ever. Lovely crispy pieces of chicken that are not only flavorful, but also tender and juicy. I've had their salads, sandwiches, tenders, fries - all have been wonderful. Their Asian takes on the chicken have always been lovely blends of umami flavoring with just the right level of spice when called for it. Their sauces are great. This place came highly recommended by a few people for good salads. I ordered their ELOTE CHOP salad with the creamy cilantro lime dressing. They have great customer service here, the location was clean and well organized. The salad is very filling! It has crispy chicken, cotija cheese, a lot of sweet corn among other ingredients. The dressing by far is probably the best salad dressing of any fast food restaurant I've had as of lately. I will definitely come back to their other items on the menu. We ordered here through DoorDash last week and i was pleasantly surprised by how good the chicken was. The tenders are big thick pieces of chicken and the breading is well seasoned. We ordered at the counter, although it appears you can order at self-service kiosk screens. We chose the Starbird Chicken sandwich and 8-wings with choice of seasonings, garlic parmesan and Thai chili sauce. Dang, that Starbird fried chicken sandwich breast was HUGE!!! The bun bread was dense and didn't fall apart when you bit into it. Chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Definitely bang for your buck with this one! I'm surprised that I've never been to this fast food chain before! Supposedly, this is a chicken shop. I like how the colors of this restaurant are white and yellow since they're the skin colors of a chick and chicken. They also have their own beverages not something like Diet Coke and Sprite from the fountain machine. It's very nice that they have small boxes to put sandwiches in them. Went here today around 2pm and it wasn't busy, about 2 groups in front of us ordering. I got the strips and my coworkers got the sandwich. Everything was cold. The chicken was cold and the fries were soggy. When I went to refill my drink I knew why it was cold. They fried the chicken before hand and have a tray on the counter and they just build the sandwich and sauce the tenders as the order came in. Who knows how long the chicken been there. Even though the chicken was cooked already it still took a good 15 minutes plus to get our food. The best thing today was the aioli and ranch for the fries. Their drink are always rotating, but their Thai Tea and sodas never disappoint. My go-to order is usually the Thai Chicken Salad! The portion is huge and very filling.
