We visited Omega on 03/01/2026 at about 10:15am. This is my second time here. We will often visit this place, when coming up here to visit family. This place is the definition of a greasy spoon diner, and people love it! It was full, bustling, and the guy doing a little bit of the coffee refills, seating people and bussing tables --- people really loved him. Service was as you would expect for this type of establishment; however, service was timely. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are available all day. I love that breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served all day here! So many options to choose from on the menu, no matter what you're in the mood for. My bf and I had breakfast dishes for lunch this past Saturday... Mike's favorite combo (omelette) and french toast with sausage and eggs. Our food was okay. The sausage was a bit tough. And the french toast was flat and dry and on the small side. I do appreciate that they carry sugar-free syrup at the restaurant, but I wasn't a fan of the brand, so it didn't help much with the taste. The best parts of our meals were the crispy flavorful hashbrowns and the eggs cooked to a perfect scramble, satisfying in both dishes. The restaurant looked somewhat dated and plain, but there was plenty of space inside and ample seating, including booth dining tables and stools at the bar. There was no wait to be seated around noon time on the weekend. And service was outstanding, with the friendly and professional staff checking on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. It's set in a location with plenty of parking, building outside reminds me of a bank but the inside is very spacious with two dining rooms. I ordered the Western skillet w/ham...I quietly questioned where's the ham, lots of potatoes and green bell peppers, the 3 over easy eggs, were great and my husband enjoyed his clam chowder and Cobb salad Lack of service, not from our waitress but bus boys, whom I asked for water and take home box...ended up asking two other people . We've been at this restaurant several times and mostly not too crowded but today the place was packed "Mother's Day". The wait time is long to get a table and getting our order is even longer. The food that we got was very salty and over cooked. We had good food here before but this time wasn't good at all. Very disappointing and all the servers said the kitchen is too busy. Surprised I do not have a review for Omega Restaurant. My wife and I've been here several times over the years. They have plenty of parking in this shared lot. The ambiance is an old style diner with soft rock playing, yet Spanish music playing from the kitchen. The service was attentive, friendly, and polite. I like that they serve their entire menu all day long, so you could get a dinner entree at breakfast hours or breakfast meal during dinner hours. All Eggs and Omlettes: Served with country potatoes with onions and bell peppers, hash browns, beans, toast butter and jelly, or 1 pancake. Homestyle salsa served on request. Corned Beef Hash & Eggs (poached), hash browns, & pancake (4/5). Though it was canned corned beef, they griddled it so it had a slight char to it. The eggs were medium poached, I should have specifed. The hash browns and pancake were standard fare and good as expected. Overall, 3.5 stars but rounding up for the service. read more

I thought an omelet was eggs folded over filling. My omelet was eggs spinach and mushrooms blended together and severed to look like an omelet. On top of that I think it was cooked way before I ordered it or it couldn't come out of the kitchen in less than 5 minutes. Then add to the fact that I wasn't offered toast and the hefty over 20 dollar price tag. Omega is still one of my favorite breakfast places. We usually come during off hours so we never have had to wait for a seat. I went on a Saturday afternoon with my sister and her boyfriend. They shared two dishes and I got the steak and eggs. The staff is always lovely, and we love them. The steak was pretty tender and well seasoned, and they cooked it to medium rare, as asked for. If you don't ask for medium rare they usually start it at medium. The potion is large, so god for a big eater, or two small eaters. The hash browns are good and they have steak sauce and horseradish if you ask for it. It usually comes with their house salsa but it's too spicy for me. My sister and her boyfriend got a special French toast and huevos rancheros to share. They loved it. The French toast was also larger than we were expecting. The waitress told us it's one of their most popular. read more

Felt like having a diner style dinner with my friend, so we decided to try Omega. The decor inside definitely felt like a diner restaurant and gave the classic diner vibe. The food was okay for the price. I odered the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns and a pancake on the side. The pancake was huge and fluffy, but the gravy for the country fried steak was grainy, and the steak itself wasn't as crispy as I'd want it to be. I came back here again today with my dad and food is really overpriced. They have the machine that says 15, 20, 25 for tip. I was hoping at breakfast places they would take the credit card so you don't need to walk up to the counter. They do the calculation on the subtotal not the pre-tax so if you give 20 percent it'll like be 22 percent since it's on the subtotal. sneaky way to get higher tips. My dad ordered the steak dinner and he had upset stomach afterwards and that was the only thing he ate that day so something there was dirty this time around.... Talk about TBT! Felt like a time warp! Original booths & tables from probably early 1970's. They have a ton of choices on their menu to pick from. I went with linguica, hashbrowns & eggs. The very first thing you notice as you walk into Omega is it's like walking into the past. The seating, the light fixtures and the entire ambience screams old school diner. Just the ambience itself I'd enough for me to warrant recommending this restaurant for other people to experience. Their menu also has a large selection of standard diner choices that are available all day. I chose an omelette from their breakfast selection which was prepared in a relatively short amount of time. It came with hash browns and a pancake. The food was great. It wasn't too rich in flavor and the amount was just right. Surprisingly, the omelette had a healthy and large amount of the fillings. The boyfriend asked to meet me for lunch here on Friday. I have never been to Omega but apparently this place is a staple in the city of Milpitas (boyfriend works in Milpitas so he frequents this place). We arrived around 11:30am on Friday and it wasn't too packed. The boyfriend ordered two eggs over easy, sausage links, hash browns, and sourdough toast. He asked for coffee and I asked for cranberry juice. I ordered the 'Filipino Breakfast' on the menu which is spam, rice, and two eggs cooked any way I wanted. Funny how they have a menu item listed as such. Food was definitely old school diner style -- nothing fancy or over the top with flavor but it was straightforward and did the job. The bill was very reasonable of course. Service was decent -- our server took our order promptly and checked in on us at least once during our meal. Finally, the menu is super big packed with choices of burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. I would be happy to return to try other menu items. Omega Family Restaurant & Lounge is an American diner located in S Park Victoria Drive, Milpitas. I've heard plenty about it being a favorite among residents of this city, so I decided to check it out, on New Year's of all days! I got myself the Chicken Acapulco Sandwich ($13.70) and the Pasta Primavera ($14). The Chicken Acapulco Sandwich comes with a side order, so I chose the macaroni salad. The Pasta Primavera also comes with a side order, so I chose the clam chowder which is only available on Fridays. If you're able to view the photos I've taken, you'll see how gorgeous the Chicken Acapulco Sandwich looks on the camera. Believe me when I say it tastes as good as it looks. The combination of breaded chicken breast, ortega chiles, fresh avocado slices, and pepper jack cheese on sourdough bread is a mouth-watering one, and you might even get full from the first half like I did! It came with pickles and salsa on the side, which complemented my meal well. I would eat this asap since the steam from the chicken breast can sog up the bottom bread. The Pasta Primavera came in a bigger box and packs quite the amount. It is described as a fettuccine with fresh vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, mushrooms, squash) in an alfredo sauce. If you like your pasta more on the thinner, finer side, you will certainly enjoy this. I like the abundance and variety of vegetables that I have received, on top of them being cooked to softness. It came with grated parmesan cheese on the side, which I highly recommend sprinkling all over your pasta for a cheesier experience. The sides were nice! Not much to comment about them other than the macaroni salad was balanced and silky, and the clam chowder was thick and creamy (with a bay leaf addition!) Additional notes: I was the only customer. I came in at 4PM. Order took 20 minutes from ordering the food to receiving it. You pay once the food arrives. Very kind service through and through. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day. All COVID guidelines met, which means the bar/lounge is closed. Omega Restaurant takes me back to simpler times almost a year ago when sitting down at a diner and enjoying food and company was more commonplace. Of course, with everything that's been going on in the past several months, that occasion will not come to exist again until much later when things are back to the way they once were. Yet, nowadays, nothing beats a family atmosphere for a beautiful classic all-day breakfast spot that serves happy hour. The portions are definitely generous, very Hardy. You could even split a plate if you can't finish. If you happen to visit, come with an empty stomach. Prices are reasonable. It's a kid friendly place they have great sitting and tons of space. Although there were some things that could be a little more clean. And perhaps some remodeling that could be done to the place to make it a little more presentable.. But I think part of the charm is the way how it look in the way how it is... That's not for me to figure out. That's ownership. This is our spot! We have been coming here for over 20 years. I have my favorites, but love the breakfasts. They have an all day breakfast, so I can get that anytime. I know all the wait staff so it is a little self-serving to say they are all really nice, but they are always friendly. What I like most about Omega is the vibe of it; it is a diner, but it isn't like Denny's or IHOP in that is is more of a family restaurant and you can tell by the food. My first experience with a worker was RUDE, she was at the booth where you wait to be seated and she didn't once initiate contact with me and I know she wasn't busy adding the receipts up, it's not that important compared to greeting a customer. I literally had to ask, "is that my order?" She looked at it and said "I don't know, just wait". So finally a man nicely gave me the order that I asked was mine because I knew it was and how do I know by looking at a bag? Common sense. The lady didn't have a sense of urgency that I feel like most restaurants have, in the sense that they're generally attentive. You'd expect great service from a local diner. Anyway, I ordered chorizo and eggs with beans and tortillas along with a pancake. They forgot my tortillas which kinda sucked because I love eating tortillas and chorizo, no biggie I guess! I looked inside my little styrofoam box and was greeted by the ugliest presentation of food, almost ever!!! The ratio of chorizo and egg was way off, chorizo was almost granulated. I want my scrambled eggs to be soft and fluffy not lumpy and stuck together, and the beans!!! Don't get me started on the beans!!! I know these MFs grabbed a can of Rosarita beans and modeled it into a shape and threw some cheese on it to garnish the ugly creation. Maybe if you look at the picture I posted it doesn't look so bad, but the taste... I took 3 bites of the chorizo and it didn't taste like the chorizo I buy from the carniceria. I don't want to give a 1 star review but I don't recommend this place at all. There are plenty of local diners to go to, Bills Cafe isn't that bad of a choice comparatively. I absolutely love this restaurant. They have a huge menu and food is so delicious. I've never had a bad meal there. Rodeo chicken sandwich is my favorite. Servers are super friendly and give good service. Even met the owner who's super friendly. Very old school restaurant. Nothing fancy but I bring all my friends here. They even make enchiladas, but it's not on the menu. Just have to ask . That's my next meal to try. read more
