Sandwiches are fresh and a good size. I enjoyed the Dutch crunch. I don't like that cheese is extra charge. They gave a good portion of fresh avocado when I added avocado to my turkey sandwich.

Mustard.. which I never order with my sandwich!!!

I always look forward to coming here. But today I was disappointed with my order. Ordered my normal salsilito turkey sandwich. I've been going for months because the sandwiches are always good and on point, never have had to check my sandwich to see if they made it correctly. BUT once I arrived home to eat my sandwich, upon opening it they messed up my order and put MUSTARD when I order it with no mustard. Tried to call the store and they don't pick up. The mustard over powers my sandwich to the point all I can taste is mustard which makes me not want to eat my sandwich. I truly feel like I wasted my money.

Opened first layer of wrapping- cut in half is great!

Stopped in about 11am. Ordered online. Online order process was pretty easy. Sandwich was ready on time. Grabbed my drink and left. Got a roast beef on whole wheat sliced with pepper jack, Cajun mayo, lettuce, pepperocini, pickles, tomatoes. See images. Sandwich was a nice size, great it was cut in half! Was about half meat, half veggie by height. Meat was good quality. No tough chewy areas, just good meat. Taste was very nice! Will be back again if in the area.

Good sandwiches overall, but let me tell you, a bit on the overpriced side. I used to get sandwiches by my company when I worked close by, but now it was time to try it on my own. The quality is good, but $14 for a smallish sandwich with roast beef? No sides either. They use Boar Head, but I could go to Safeway and buy enough to make 4-5 sandwiches with their cost. Still, the question remains, is the sandwich good? Yes, it's good. A bit overpriced, but good. I'd rather have my company pay. Either way, I'm not against going here again, but in no rush.

The grilled chicken sandwich was AMAZING. Onion rings and french fries I recommend trying. Their chipotle sauce was perfect. Overall, great experience.

Ordered the BLT the other day and was not disappointed at all! The dutch crunch bread baked fresh daily was nice and crispy. You can tell that it's fresh and baked on-site. There was a generous amount of filling in the sandwich too. Located in an industrial business park near the San Jose Airport, it's a convenient place to grab a bite to eat before flying out without being limited to what's available at the terminals. There's plenty of parking and it's right off highway 880. I can't wait to try the pastrami sandwich next time!

This place was such a rip off. I paid $18 and some change for a custom turkey/salami sandwich and chips. As you can see in the pictures, they put about one single slice of each type of meat. On top of that, they very sparingly included the vegetables. I just started working in the area and this place came up as a nearby sandwich spot but I will NOT be back. Save your money and avoid this place.

I tried their steak quesadilla today & OMG!! It's delicious!! Big portion with freshly made chips, which were so crunchy & fluffy!! This place is more on the pricey side.. $13 - $15 for a sandwich without chips or a drink. I'm not sure if it comes with it, as it wasn't clearly marked on the menu? There is a sign that says "grab your chips & drink before ordering" on the wall, but we saw it after the fact. I don't like their sandwiches as their bread is more on the thick size.. but my BF does. If you like thick bread, it's worth a try. Their customer service is also very friendly. Nice spot for a quick bite during lunch

FOOD Had the chicken pesto sandwich because they were out of the chipotle chicken. It was good. Something I could make at home but I didn't haha. GENERAL probably more like 3 stars...Gave 4 stars because the guy at the register was nice and the place seemed to be kept clean. They play Latin music which I like because I'm a fan of salsa. I like how open it is inside. No frills sandwich shop in the middle of an office lined street. I originally thought this place was a factory for jam by their name haha. Outside seating. Not the strongest AC inside but i tend to run cold so I didn't mind. Parking lot outside. It's located on the corner of Charcot. Look for the outside colorful umbrellas. Two TVs inside.

    Best fries in town.

The location of the store seems a little far away because it's in the corner by Safeway's gas station off to the side, so I imagine some people miss it. So keep an eye out for it next time you're in the mood for some hot subs. Chris, the owner, was so kind and explained everything to us. He was patient, informative, and professional. It's nice to see owners work at times and treat their customers so genuinely! So thank you, Chris! The store is honestly decorated so well. There's details everywhere on the wall, and it's all dedicated to San Jose culture and first responders. The ambiance felt local and cool. Now for the food, my husband ordered the Build Your Own Sub with Pastrami and it was delicious! I ordered their new and off the menu French Dip sub with aus ju and IT WAS SO GOOD. Highly recommend to get it now while they have it! Special notes: - All subs are served hot! - They have a hot sauce bar with unique sauces all leveled off from (1-10). 1 = mild and 10 = spiciest! Affordability: both of our subs came out to be around $20 for two large subs. Some people may view the prices as pricey, but if you get a large sub it's definitely worth it. Check out the photos for reference (I don't think the photos do the large size justice though because they are HUGE) and give Firehouse Sub a try for yourself!

Smoked Turkey breast, Honey Ham, and melted Monterey Jack cheese, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, no mayo for me, and deli mustard with a pickle spear on the side. The sub were just okay for me, nothing amazing. ~ Firehouse Steak & Cheese (Large) - 3/5 Looks much better in the brochure. It's fine, tasted OK. Nothing to brag about, don't let the sando sit around. Make sure you finish it all at once or it will get soggy... may be its because of the oil and vinegar dressing I opted for? Not sure... The wheat bread is a tad too sweet for my liking and the white bread is just plain and flavorless. I do wish they provided options like Sourdough or Dutch Crunch, which also happen to be healthier for you. I wanted to complain that they were expensive but then realized that's how it is everywhere now. That food inflation is no joke... I'd stop by if nothing was around. Not so sure I need to try other items on the menu.

Good news is the new owners have done a great job keeping up the same consistency that this sandwich shop is renowned for--same amazing bread, same menu, same ingredients. Service has been nice and efficient as well! What sets this place apart is the sourdough bread. It's some kind of secret family recipe from the original owner, you just can't find this kind of perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside sourdough sandwich bread anywhere! The bonus is the bread is usually hot and fresh out of their fast-firing oven so you get the absolute freshest bread in your sandwich. It's so good that they don't even allow you to buy it on it's own. They don't even need to sell it that's how much they go through. Since this place has so many reviews I won't beat to death what is already well known, instead I'll add a few Pro-tips from my years of experience devouring their sandwiches: * you can get the sandwich hollowed out! This means they take out the excess bread-y part of the inside of the baguette. This leaves a more manageable sandwich in my opinion. I prefer that crisp exterior and just a bit of the fluffy interior. I feel like it creates a more balanced sandwich overall. You can get both sides hollowed out or just one. Recommend trying it this way! Feels less heavy this way as well. * They give you a slight discount for cash. It's just under $20 for a sandwich, I usually get the garlic herb turkey sandwich. Price is honestly fair since it's a full meal and delicious. They also have chips and a good variety of drinks that go well with the sandwiches. I highly recommend trying the diet peach snapple, that flavor is so good! * They have some dipping sauces on the side, try the chili-garlic sauce, it goes so well with most of the sandwiches! * Don't get discouraged by the line out the door, it moves pretty fast!
