Solid sandwich! Good meat, veg, bread ratio.
    Claudia L.

Came in for lunch, service was very friendly. Ordered the Urban Classic and it was very delicious. Vegetables were fresh and flavors were well balanced with the banana peppers. Ratio of meat, bread, and veg was good and very generous. This is exactly how a solid sandwich should be.

I'm not able to believe in "that sandwich had too much meat" Dutch crunch was so soft didn't have to struggle with the chew!

10 out of 10 best sandwich in the area bread was so soft meat was tender and juicy perfect amount of flavor. This area needed something a little bit different will be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Came here randomly on a Saturday afternoon and found out that it is a new spot. Used to be Boba galaxy. They have remodeled and it is now a Boba and sandwich shop - interesting choice in a plaza full of Vietnamese food and I like the vibes. Met the owner Jr who is a super nice guy and passionate about his sandwiches. He sources the meat from Zanottos so you know that the deli meat is going to be top-notch. We got the number one per his recommendation and as you can see from the picture, it's chock full of meat and the urban sauce that is special made by Jr is super tasty. Definitely good prices on the menu for this quality of meat. We also got a Thai tea with Boba, which I really liked as it wasn't super sweet like the thau tea at regular Thai restaurants. The Boba inside was nice and chewy. He also is doing a new thing with Italian sodas with some flavoring and gave us one for free, which was so kind. The Italian soda was very tasty as well. I would definitely give this place a stop if you're looking for some good deli sandwiches in the north part of San Jose. The atmosphere is nice and the owner is very welcoming.

The sandwiches were good but they were a bit pricey for their size. There is not much variety in sandwich choices either and parking was tough. Wouldn't go out of my way to go here but would stop by if I was nearby and hungry.

The sandwich was great. What you see in their photo is what you get! Not sure if JR is the only one running the place and making sandwiches or if we came in on a day all his employees called out sick. But please hire more helpers! I think we ordered 4 sandwiches that day, and it took JR over 40mins to get them to us. Yes, I would come back, but maybe I'll do a phone order next time

We got the Urban Classic and a passionfruit tea from here and they were both so yummy!! The sandwich was so flavor packed and we loved the amount of meat that was put in. The passionfruit tea was also really tasty and had a great balance. We got helped by Junior who just opened this shop who was very kind and helpful. We would definitely recommend coming to this new shop!

This is the spot!!! These sandwich are no joke! They are so delicious and huge. It's more than worth it. I got the pastrami with a taro milk tea that hit the spot. Thanks for the delicious food brotha

Fun sandwich combos. Ingredients taste fresh and they have house sauces that are bombbb. I also love that they fill it up with meat. We got the pastrami mami, Caribbean heat (new item not on the menu yet), urban classic and melted sailor! Everything was sooo good. The owner is also really friendly. Def support local businesses! Can't wait to come back

Great selection of sandwiches, ordering was a breeze. Great place to go for lunch and grab a sandwich to go. Would come back to try different options. Not extremely busy on a Friday which was nice.

Off the menu BLT with ham.

I saw the business sign last week as I was driving down Capitol Ave. We live just a couple of blocks away. I checked out their reviews on Yelp and since my husband and I love hearty sandwiches, we decided to give them a try. I arrived at 6 pm, day before a holiday. The shop was nice and clean. There was another couple in there enjoying their sandwiches and they were raving at how good the food was. The owner was friendly, answered my questions, and offered suggestions. I ordered an Urban Classic for the hubby and a BLT with avocado, ham and a spicy honey mustard sauce - an off the menu creation the owner came up with just this week. I got the sauce on the side as I don't like super spicy things. I also ordered a milk tea. He told me it would be a 10-15 min wait, as he makes all of his sandwiches fresh and to order. It was worth the wait. Both my hubby and I loved our sandwiches and they were reasonably priced. Turns out this is a new business that has only been open 3 months. It's hard to win over my supper picky hubby, but Jrs Urban Eats did. I look forward to continuing to support this small business. Come check them out. You will NOT be disappointed.

A sandwich is usually considered a quick, boring, last minute resort way to address hunger. Jr's Urban Eats changes that narrative. The picture you see on the menu of an item is exactly what you get, no false advertising here. I had the Urban Classic and was served a heap of meat and a balanced portion of veggies, sauces and the perfect portion and thickness of bread. The best Dutch crunch roll I've ever had. Most Dutch crunch rolls are way too bready, nice if bread is usually the star for you but in this case clearly the supporting cast. It's about the meat and generous portion is what you can expect. Prices are about what you would expect for a sandwich these days, about $15-$20 depending on if you get the combo or not. But so far probably the best American style sandwich in town, I felt satisfied with my purchase and will be coming again. Local businesses are where to go for good eats, owners generally put their heart and soul into what they provide, Jr's is no exception. Sandwiches these days just aren't the same, generous with the bread and skimp on the meats, Jr's is opposite, they understand what the star of a sandwich should be. Highly recommend, put this place on the map. Look at my photo I posted, isn't it mouth watering? Wait til you try a bite, you'll have a hard time putting it down. Keep it Urban.

The sandwiches are so delicious it's my to go spot when I want a sandwich now. Plus the owner is very friendly and welcoming making feel almost like if you're at your home.

For such a small space, they really knocked it out of the park when it came to the overall vibe and aesthetic. It's the perfect girly café to surprise someone with on a date or simply to catch up with a few girlfriends. We ordered the strawberry matcha and banana matcha, and the drinks are a great bang for your buck considering how large they are--my husband and I honestly could've shared one. The strawberry matcha had a pleasant, jammy fruit flavor that paired nicely with the matcha. I was especially impressed by the banana matcha, which is made with fresh bananas. You could really taste the difference, and thankfully, it didn't have that artificial banana flavor at all. The matcha itself is fairly standard in terms of quality, so I think their flavored drinks are where this place really shines. If you're a matcha purist looking for something more ceremonial or matcha-forward, this probably wouldn't be my first pick. But if you're in the mood for a fun, flavorful matcha drink in an incredibly cute setting, this place absolutely delivers. For what they're going for, it's an easy 5/5 for me. The portions are generous, the flavored matchas are tasty, and the beautiful interior makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. I'd definitely come back to try more of their specialty drinks!

Even with the discount, I thought the drinks were still a bit on the pricey side. When I arrived to pick up our order, I was pleasantly surprised by the decor. The place is really cute and inviting and definitely has the kind of ambiance that makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy your drink there. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay since I had to bring the other drink home to my daughter. I tried my drink and it wasn't bad, but I didn't love it either. I actually really wanted to love it because I liked the atmosphere so much and would have enjoyed coming back to hang out there. When I got home, my daughter tried hers and said it was just okay. She didn't even finish it, which pretty much summed up how we both felt about the drinks. Cute place with a really nice ambiance, but unfortunately the drinks just weren't for us, especially for the price. Probably won't be back.

Nothing really stands out, but they get the job done if you're just looking for a quick drink. The biggest downside is the location and overall atmosphere. The shop shares a space with a Chevron gas station, and it doesn't have its own restroom. When I asked, I was told to use the Chevron bathroom, which felt unusual for a tea shop. The café also isn't the most comfortable place to hang out. I stopped by during a heat wave once and decided to stay for a bit, but it was still hot inside. I don't think the A/C was running, so I ended up leaving sooner than I planned. I could see myself grabbing a drink to go if I were already stopping for gas or just happened to be driving by. But personally, I'd rather drive a few minutes down the street to Barber Lane, where there are several other tea shops with better drinks and a more comfortable atmosphere. I can also do my grocery shopping while I'm there, so it's a much more convenient stop overall.

The servers are friendly and quick, and there is a wide but not overwhelming variety of drink (mostly coffee/espresso and some matcha) and food (cake slices, waffles, and dessert toasts) options available. You can also preorder whole cakes from them. The coffee is decent, but I find that $7 is a little steep for a latte that doesn't really stand out. I can sort of justify it by thinking that I'm also paying for the lovely space to work as well. The desserts are also a bit pricy, at around $10 per piece (and the pieces aren't huge). Overall, I had a pleasant experience here and would absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a place to sit down for a while to read, study, or relax, despite the somewhat pricy menu.

The parking lot was completely full, so you have to be patient with finding a parking spot. It was pretty crowded and because of that, everyone had to self order. Throughout my time there, lots of customers came through, but I received my drink relatively quickly. As for the drink itself, the house mocha was okay, but I'm glad that I was able to try the Hojicha cream! The mocha + Hojicha cream was an interesting combination, but I think I would try their Hojicha Latte the next time I go. They have matcha, Hojicha, and seasonal offerings as well (like their banana cream!). There is a single bathroom (with code), WiFi (spotty sometimes but I was still able to get what I needed done), and a decent amount of seating (depending on time you go) with available outlets. I worked there from 12 to almost closing, and was able to get the table near the window + an outlet! I was truly sat. Overall, I would come again to try a different drink and hope to snag a table to work! If you're able to get a good spot to sit, it's a solid place to be productive. Thanks Lac Coffee!
